Chris, the manager was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I purchased a mattress, mattress cover and pillow which stays cold. I found these to be all high quality products. The in-home delivery service was great, on time, cordial, didnt rush and removed my old mattress!I enjoy sleeping on my new mattress which is fit for a princess! I highly recommend Mattress Firm at Union Square! I also highly recommend Chris, the manager!

When purchasing something like a mattress, I usually go to a store with or consult my parents. I hadn’t this time, but felt as though I had. Marcia at Mattress Firm talked me through mattresses as I tried them and was immediately sold on one in particular - no parent consult or anything. Marcia made me feel comfortable - comfortable in helping me through the process and comfortable in making a big decision. She made me feel at home at the mattress store. I absolutely recommend anyone go to this mattress store and can only hope that you are as lucky to have Marcia there

As many people know, moving in NYC can be very chaotic and last minute. I was shopping for a mattress (preferably with delivery within 2 weeks) and had the privilege to work with Chris Pitino. We picked our favorite mattress and he promised to have the bed delivered on the exact date we needed. Leaving the store I didnt think that would happen so I set my expectations low. On the stated delivery date, the mattress arrived. During my move, he was the only honest, committed, and helpful company I worked with and I strongly suggest trusting every word that comes out of his mouth. Chris Pitino is the man!!!

Bad sales experience saved by good sales experience.Entering MattressFirm at Union Square, I was assigned Chris, a salesperson who proceeded to pull the worst behavior I expected of a mattress salesman a/k/a used car salesman— evasive answers, high pressure tactics, no patience. I was buying a full-sized mattress (upgrade from a twin) for my 15-year-old daughter who doesn’t weigh that much, but wasn’t sure if she liked foam, or coils and didn’t want a bed-in-the-box experience, but wanted to try/experience firsthand the mattress. I told Chris that maybe we were looking for a hybrid (foam and inner springs) and that my budget was under $600. He said that I couldn’t get anything under a thousand dollars. While that may be the case, he refused to show me anything but two mattresses. Each mattress he showed me was over $1000, and when I said wasn’t sure, he walked away in under 10 minutes, saying that was all there was — .and that I had better make a decision right away because the price that he quoted was a full-bed-for-a-twin price that would end by the midnight that evening (Labor Day).Luckily, I observed another woman and her teenage son purchasing a mattress with a salesman who was willing to show the sale items. I eventually ended up buying one of the sale mattresses from Marcia, who listened to my purchasing requirements — and the experience ended up pleasurably.Mattress shopping shouldn’t be like it was in the old days - with pushy, derisive salespeople.

Chauncey was great. Im not going to lie, I was a little unsure at first of his demeanor. However, he is very knowledgeable, diligent, and competent! He worked to get us the best deal possible and was patient. He is also hilarious. Very pleased with my visit today and beyond excited that it will arrive in two days. Definitely ask for Chauncey if you want knowledge, elaboration, good deals, and laughs!

Overall, I had a great experience purchasing a mattress here. The associate, Ronald Ferguson, was extremely helpful in providing me with an understanding of the different varieties of mattresses and their corresponding features. He was knowledgable, kind, and patient which made the process very smooth. I was able to try out a number of mattresses to narrow down to the one I ultimately felt best in. From there, arranging delivery was straightforward. The process as a whole was made easy for me and I left the store feeling good about the purchase.

I had such a good experience here I still cant believe it. I took my elderly mother to the Union Square Mattress Firm location for an inexpensive mattress prepared for the usual ultra-hard sell, and instead we had one of the best sales experiences of my life with Ron. He was pleasant, helpful, and didnt try to up-sell at all.He asked what we were looking for, actually paid attention, then started us with the most inexpensive model, and presented it as a legitimate option. We tried the model one level up, my mother liked it, and he didnt push from there. He was also very helpful and patient with my mother, who uses a walker and moves slowly.His assistant/co-worker Chauncey was also very nice and helpful.It was what shopping for a mattress (or anything else) should be and never is. And yes, I realize this sounds over the top, but I was just so shocked by it. Highly recommended.

Mattress shopping is something that has caused me anxiety... I don’t even know where to start. What mattress is best for me? I have no comparison to judge with.Shopping with Ronald Ferguson was absolutely the most friendly and helpful experience I could have had. He was well educated on every product, and was able to point is in the right direction, step by step, to the right bed and frame for us. Even down to the pillows and sheets! He didn’t treat us like we were clients to have products sold to, but rather, as people and humans with feelings and stories of their own. I felt comfortable and heard and cared for, something I deeply appreciate in a sales experience. I didn’t feel like I was being led through with a script— I felt like I was being cared for.I’d been nervous about making such a large financial investment in my sleep, and those anxieties were quelled quickly working with him. I would recommend anyone to come into this location and work with him and the others on his team. 10/10, A+ experience and service.

This place is in such a convenient location, I walked in and got help immediately. The Memorial Day sale is awesome and my agent was so helpful. I was able to get everything done in less than 30 minutes. The quality of the mattresses are also great. Amazing experience!

Wouldn’t recommend this store.Went here because I wanted to get a new mattress price matched to Macy’s and they wouldn’t do it. There were multiple signs in the store saying that they price match but I was told the price was too low…so I guess they only honor their policy when they feel like it. The associate I dealt with seemed like he wanted to price match but the manager told him no and didn’t seem to care at all.The day after this visit, I went to a different mattress firm closer to my home and while they confirmed the Macy’s price was incredibly low, they were actually willing to honor the price match policy.TLDR: if you’re looking to price match, don’t waste your time with this store.

It was a great, great, GREAT experience to choose a brand new mattress and everything else we needed for our apartment. We had a wonderful experience here -- Evonne was incredibly helpful and saved the day for us! We had already purchased a mattress somewhere else, but they told us after waiting one month that it would further be delayed another month. We were able to find the comparable mattress at Mattress Firm. Not only did they match the price, but could deliver it in 48 hours. The VIP service was great too, they delivered everything as they said they would and removed the old box spring.

Diamond Coles patiently answered my questions, showed me a variety of mattresses, and spoke with me about my particular sleep concerns while keeping my budget in mind. I really appreciated that Diamond was patient as a I vacillated between mattresses, knowing that getting a new one is a big decision. Ive now been sleeping on my new mattress for a few days and doing great. Im so glad I went to the store instead of relying on online services, and I received great help at Mattress Firm with Diamond Coles.
