Everything from drop off to communicating the status of the vehicle throughout the day was smooth. Extremely professional team and obviously an experienced technician (Joey) were able to diagnose and repair my issues. I needed the timing belt, water pump, and purge solenoid replaced on my 2015 Honda Odyssey and I felt the prices were extremely fair. You pay for what you get and I felt I received top notch service. Van runs like new now. Highly recommend this repair center and will use them again in the future.

Chads team is AMAZING, the repair price was competitive, but most importantly; they were able to help me when no one else could.I was traveling through, on my way back to South Carolina when my check engine light started flashing and my car started running bad. I called around a little and I couldnt find anyone that could help me... then I called Christian Brothers! Nothing short of amazing; from the time I called, to the moment I walked out the door with a professionally repaired vehicle. The shuttle service is a godsend, and so was Marie (the driver). She took me over to Eastchase(?) so I could walk around and eat while they fixed my car. Two older ladies were walking by when I got out of the shuttle and they stopped to let me know that I was in good hands: they went on to say that Christian Brothers is the ONLY place in town they would ever take their cars and they would recommend them to anyone.They shared pictures of the inspection and diagnostic, communicated and updated me through text, and allowed me to approve the work I wanted from my phone. Michael called and explained what needed to be done, made a couple little maintenance recommendations, and offered me several options (good, better, best). There was ZERO pressure to make an immediate decision. They even offered to take me to a hotel down the street if I wanted to sleep on it and do some research before I approved the repair.They got me fixed up, changed a couple filters that I had been neglecting, and I was back on the road. I travel through Montgomery often and, if Im ever in need of anything car related, they are my place. I may even plan to stay in Montgomery next time Im traveling through so they can do my brakes and tune-up. The inspection said they were due but Michael assured me that I had time and to just have them done when I was back home safe.

Went in because check engine light was on. Diagnosis was a sensor not plugged in. Since I was in and out in about 40 minutes, I am positive that no diagnostic testing was done, I was charged $130. Two days later the check engine light was back on.Update: Went back in so that they could do a proper diagnostic. I was told that I had to pay another $130 by owner, Eric. He was upset about the 1-star review so we spent some time discussing that instead of the issue. He stated that when I originally came in because I had replaced the battery, it cleared out all of the codes. So, I asked why was I charged for a diagnostic fee originally when clearly no diagnostic of my vehicle was done. He went in circles trying to explain. Ultimately when I came in the were no codes; however, the mass air flow sensor was unplugged. I paid $130 and left. Two days later, my light is back on and they want an additional $130 for another diagnostic. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I was ridiculously overcharged!!!! While visiting Montgomery from out of town, my car stopped in the parking lot of Target and wouldn’t turn back on. After realizing that it wasn’t the battery, I had my vehicle towed to Christian Brothers. The diagnosis was that my car needed a new starter. My total bill for this $1,924.00. I had to have my vehicle repaired in a timely manner and told the technician to proceed with the work. When I informed my husband of the cost, he nearly choked. Once I returned home, I got quotes for the exact same repair from my local Christian Brothers- both quoted me around $1200. I then called the Eastchase Firestone and was quoted $1350 for the repair (they were full the day of my repair and couldn’t service my vehicle). I am furious at the fact that I shared my dilemma of being an out of town visitor who ran into car trouble and was completely taken advantage of. I do not recommend this mechanic as I feel as though I was treated dishonesty and unfairly based on a desperate situation out of my control.

I took my car in because it was shaking when I went over 70. I wasn’t sure of the issue. They test drove it and checked it out. I needed new tires and an alignment. They were very professional and courteous. They even allowed me to use the shuttle to do what I needed to do while they had my car. I’ll definitely return for car services.

Went to CB asking for an overall inspection of the vehicle, oil change, and a brake quote. The oil change went well. The quote for brakes was exorbitant and we went elsewhere. The overall inspection of the vehicle was a joke. Just 2 days after leaving, the car battery kept dying. After taking it back in to the shop and letting them know they missed something on their inspection (telling us in writing the battery was good) they wanted to charge $200 to replace it, which included the labor. This of course was after my daughter had been stranded on the road 5 times with a dead battery AFTER they told us the battery was fine. Now the best part is, we denied the service, went to Auto Zone and replaced it there to find out the battery installed on the vehicle had been incorrect all along and CB never even noticed in ther inspection. The one they charged us for and told us everything was great. Oh, and she had a headlight out, something else Autozone noticed but not CB. Great inspection!

My wife and I have used them to do oil changes and tire rotations, and it has always been high. Then check engine light came on so we took it to them. 130 bucks for a engine diagnostic? Can’t imagine how much they would charge for it to be repaired. Very disappointed.

The service was absolutely brilliant! Im used to going to an auto shop and waiting 30 plus minutes until my car gets pulled but I was sitting in the lobby and I was watching a video on my phone and the sound went away I was puzzled at first but I realized that my car had been pulled and it had connected with my Bluetooth 😂 😂 😂. I got there at 9:30 and left at about 12:15 which wasnt bad at all. I highly recommend this place!

Simply put...A breath of fresh air. They literally spent hours trying to identify a vibration I was experiencing with my truck. When they werent confident they had found the exact problem they actually told me so. They gave me a set of recommendations on things I could do to rule out things it wasnt, and left the next steps up to me. Their recommendations ultimately guided me to the answer (Young tires that had failed). They had my vehicle in their shop multiple times, didnt actually fix anything, but they have me as a customer into the foreseeable future. For me, helping me find the answer is as valuable as being the answer.

I went here for the first time today and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and professional. I had previously taken my car to a different shop in Montgomery that told me it would cost $1000 to fix my car. Christian Brothers Automotive looked at my car and resolved my air problem within 15 mins at at no charge (someone had unplugged my fan) ! They are honest people and this will definitely be my new mechanic shop for all my car maintenance!

I just want to start out by saying that the employees here all seem very genuine and caring, and they’re probably great with most vehicles. But do not bother taking any foreign vehicle to their shop that needs anything more than an oil change. I had a vehicle break down on me and took it here to avoid towing it to the dealership in Birmingham. I quickly received an estimate of almost $23,000 to fix my suv and was told that I should contact my insurance company because it was totaled.I ended up taking it to the dealership for a second opinion (like I should have to begin with) and ended up only paying $3700 to repair what was wrong with my suv, and that didn’t include a single thing listed on the original estimate sent to me by CBA.I really wish they would have just turned me away before I took it there in the first place if they could not service my vehicle instead of guessing what the problem was and writing it off as a lost cause.I called CBA last week to update them on the status of my vehicle and to let them know what really was wrong with it - all they wanted to know was how “reputable the shop was that I took my vehicle to” and to try to tell me that they never referred to my car as totaled. Not only did they put us in a horrible situation, they also tried to act like they never said the things they did and asked what exactly I was expecting from my phone call. Just a bad experience.

Check and rotate tires

They wanted to fix my car said it was going to cost 6500 to fix my car . They said the parts were 3,000 for tire rod and rack pinion . I went to auto zone parts were 600.00 . Charged 130.00 just to look at the car !

My wife has a handicapped van. When we took it to them it needed new brakes and two front tires. Well we gave the manager the rundown on how to operate the van along with two phone numbers. Well a week later they called to say the brakes were fine and the van still needs 100 yrds. to stop the front tires they said were fine and you can almost see the wires. So just because they could not operate it they turned us away.

Service was timely and cost was reasonable. Customer service was excellent! Highly recommend for your automotive maintenance/repairs.

Id like to start off this review by saying that the folks at CBA Montgomery are incredibly polite and courteous. I have no disapproval towards the individual employees there.With that said, that is unfortunately the extent of my positives about the business. Ive brought two of my vehicles there a total of three times, over the course of two years, and each time, I have been disappointed. My first vehicle had a minor oil leak, and I took it to CBA to check it out. Long story short, they charged me over $1000 and a week of time, and in the end, the issue wasnt resolved. Brought my vehicle to another shop on Atl Highway, $250 later, and it was fixed. All in all, this wasnt a huge deal, but I was disappointed in CBA.Fast forward 2 years, and i take another one of my vehicles that I had just purchased to CBA for a post-purchase full diagnosis (This alone cost $120) which they assured me would cover just about everything i needed to get done to the vehicle to get it to top shape. They quoted me over $5,000 worth of service. This alone wasnt completely insane. It was an older vehicle, and yes, a good few things needed fixing. However, I jotted down the items they told me I needed to replace and decided to do the items myself (brake change, coolant flush, oil change, filters, etc). Took off the brakes. The Pads, Rotors were literally brand new. They said my front caliper mount and caliper itself were in terrible condition. Completely false--it was in perfect condition upon further inspection. Performed the coolant change after they claimed it was dirty and needed changing (btw they quoted me $140 for the coolant change, which if you know, is one of the easiest things you can do yourself for $20 worth of coolant and 30 min of your time max). This also turned out to be unecessary. The coolant I drained was the exact same color as the new coolant I purchased myself. I did this for every item on the list of things they told me I needed to change, and the ONLY thing that actually needed to be changed was the front driver struts and the radiator fan.A week after I get the $5000 list of things that need to be serviced, I drive to Atlanta. Halfway there on the interstate, my timing/fan belt shred apart, engine overheats, and my car is disabled. Tow it to a garage nearby and they inform me that my water pump was well on its way out, A/C compressor had imploded, and timing/fan belts should have been changed a long time ago. NONE OF THESE WERE MENTIONED BY CBA. Fortunately I did not get into an accident, but I trusted CBA to diagnose what I needed to fix on my vehicle, and they failed to mention, at all, three incredibly easy to inspect components that were failing, and caused my vehicle to stop driving in the middle of the highway. Absolutely unacceptable.If youre reading this, CBA, come on, step your game up. If youre going to charge one of the highest rates in the entire state of Alabama, maybe provide service that backs up that rate. I respect you all as individuals, but as a reputable automotive service center, I am appalled.

Manager Chad was AWESOME!! Everyone was polite, friendly, they apologized for the wait even though it was VERY quick compared to the Service Dept at Car Dealerships (Buick of Montgomery!!) I’m switching over and coming here from now on for all of my service needs.

Coming from Atlanta, our alternator went out in our van. Due to the fact that we were 45 minutes away, we had to call a tow truck. We were taken to the above named place where we were charged about $800 for a brand new alternator, which came with a year warranty. My husband knew they were overcharging us, but we had to get home. Well, it hasnt been close to a year and that brand new alternator went out. My husband took it to a local shop here in Louisiana to get rebuilt only to find out that the alternator was rebuilt when we bought it from Christian Brothers Automotive. Thats a horrible thing to do to people that are stranded. Very Christian of you all.

I am very disappointed with how christian brothers does their service. I went to them to diagnose the problem with my Toyota Tacoma, they charged me $120 for a diagnostic. They drove my truck down the block and red lined it all the way back. Then after getting back said they can’t give a proper diagnosis since I had no exhaust on my truck because it was straight piped. Turned out to be a vacuum leak that I had fixed by another shop and they charged me nothing since it was just a loose hose. While they were doing my “diagnosis” as well they were trying to charge a guy $1200 to fix a simple fuel pump on a tahoe. Ended up taking his tahoe to my house and got him driving again for only 200 dollars. Do not recommend this place if your in an emergency and trying to just get home.

Stopped by early for a strange noise coming from a wheel well, hadnt been in before and was prepared to throw myself at their mercy as I had a road trip for work the next day. They took a look at it right then and it turned out to be a simple fix. They took care of me and didnt try to pressure me for a sale. I will be back

I have taken my vehicles here several times recently. I believe the newer management is honest and passionate. They have a comfortable place to wait if needed and I like that I can schedule my oil changes here. Much better than trying to get to WalMart first thing in the morning.

Prices are high. I live around the corner and find myself calling Christian Brothers every time I’m in need of service and am quickly reminded that with a few phone calls you can find service much cheaper! Service is great just really high prices. I find lower prices all over town and when I tell them “that’s high” over the phone they tell me....” I won’t find a better price” wellllllll I do. The “nice” factor is great but I’d rather have competitive prices.

I took my vehicle their and was charged about $400 dollars just for diagnostic work.They then tell me my total bill to fix and program my BCM(Body Control Module) would be $1900 dollars! Ended up taking my vehicle to Grays Automotive and they fixed it for about 1k less! I just feel they take unnecessary advantage of people and use God as a front. And thats the honest to God truth!

This used to be a quality auto repair shop. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The mechanics were honest. I think the previous owners sold the business. The new ownership has not upheld the high standards of the previous owners.Case in point: I had the 100k mile service done on my car, including replacement of the timing belt and all the other drive belts. Shortly thereafter, I took the car in for an oil change and tire rotation. When they called me back they suggested that my belts were worn and needed replacement. I no longer trust these mechanics and will be getting work done elsewhere from now on.

I highly recommend this shop. Owner and staff very professional, accomodating, and knowledgeable. I wont go anywhere else.
