I dont even know where to begin. I purchased a washer and dryer online. We picked up our dryer in San Leandro good experience. Washer was picked up in Hayward. All about a month ago. We get to Hayward our name and personal information is in the open for all to see. Management could care less. He is lazy, self centered and just lacks customer service skills all together. Well anyway we get home and washer doesnt work. I call and he doesnt get on the phone. I called warranty dept. They schedule me an apt. Came looked scheduled another apt when parts came in. But of course no one comes. Well a month in and still no working washer. I tried called the 800# waiting almost 3 hours no answer. Tried calling the Hayward location again manager is Busy. Yeah his busy is putting a fridge door on for like 4 hours. Well I decided to call the Modesto location. Yes l, I know should of done this from the beginning but what we wanted they did not have. Every other time we did business it was with the Modesto location. Any who... I call and Ashley answers. I guess God knew I needed an Angel, cause she was kind, attentive, and her customer service skills went above all. NOTE TO AMERICAN FREIGHT: have Ashley train the manager in Hayward.She scheduled for an exchange with no hesitation. Was super sweet, not once did she try and argue with me or make me feel wrong for ordering online. I learned to stick with what I know in this case. Modesto American Freight is the best. Thank you Ashley for making this a smooth transaction. You really dont know how much we appreciate you.

With plans to remodel a new home over the summer months, I have begun looking for opportunities to save money in specific areas that often represent major spending. I regularly visit American Freight in Modesto as they often have really nice deals on appliances and home furnishings! During my most recent visit, I was approached by Sales Associate, Brandi. Though my plan was to simply walk through and survey what was in store, Brandi immediately introduced herself and commented that I looked familiar. At that very moment, the flood gates opened--and in a good way! She proceeded to offer me a wealth of information--and tips--regarding prospective purchases for all kitchen appliances: wall ovens, dishwashers, stoves, cook tops and hoods. Gas v. electric and dual connections. It was amazing as to how much she knew and the key differences by manufacturer. Seriously--she was amazing! So refreshing...so uncommon in todays world...to have the level of expertise and willingness to share! My family & I had quite a bit of furniture delivered and some complications in store but Austin and Lorenzo are the best. They go above and beyond customer service. They are very careful while coming into our home they handle the products with such amazing care. If you need delivery I would ask for Lorenzo & Austin. We had a previous delivery months back and it was horrible with two other guys that made a hole in our wall but it was fixable they just didnt handle with care the way Lorenzo & Austin do. It is very hard work. Glad to see they have better staff and please give these guys a raise! They deserve it. I will now be requesting Lorenzo & Austin to deliver to my family and I.

Great Service from the ladies at America Freight. I was able to get a new dishwasher and installation that they actually had in stock. Definitely check them out first if you want something right away unlike every other store I went to they didnt have to order it.

We have bought a dishwasher, fridge and washing machine here... so far. Prices always beat the BIG named stores, for the same product. They offer floor models and new in box, you get the best deal on the floor model appliances. You can also purchase warranties. Along with delivery and take away of old appliances. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, but not pushy! They also have appliances you can take home TODAY, unlike the big stores that you have to order and wait for delivery.

Needed a fridge last November, had issues with one guy there, but Jessica helped us out greatly. Needed a new dishwasher today, Ashley & Jessica helped us out yet again. These ladies are awesome and showed great customer service and was patient. We will definitely be back!

I used to shop here when it was Sears Outlet. And when I seen that it was an American Freight I thought they changed completely, but to my surprise they sell pretty much the same things. Only thing different is they have a TON of furniture at great prices. Definitely will continue to shop here in the future.

This review is for Brandon. I called the store ahead of time, to see if they had a couch available that I was interested in. My family and I went into the store and were greeted by a female employee. We informed her we called Brandon ahead of time and she informed him we were waiting. He looked up from the screen, across the store and stated he would be with us shortly. We waited about ten minutes before deciding to leave. He asked if we liked the couch and I informed him we were waiting for his customer service. He replied he would drop everything and help us ( which he should have done in the first place). Customer should always come first.

Looked all over for a 20 cu ft upright freezer and everyone was at least a month out if I ordered one. Called American Freight and Ashley had one for us cheaper then any I have seen and it was a name brand. Awesome thanks Ashley!!

Having purchased appliances over the years from various places, from independents to big box stores, I can safely say that our experience with this particular store was the best i have ever had -- this was 100% due to the interaction with and help from Ashley, the AGM. We purchased a very specific refrigerator we had been searching for, and Ashley help assure us that it was what we were looking for (as it was sight unseen). In addition, she let us know that the matching dishwasher had just arrived, and she went above and beyond to help us secure that appliance, as we were concerned it would not be added to the online store in time. She was quick, responsive, professional -- if American Freight had a few more like her, they would easily be the best place to find the perfect appliance for your home or business.

They were busy as they just received a shipment of fridges, even so I was able to buy my fridge set up my delivery in no time. I have bought a few different items from this store over the last 5 yrs...a fridge a washer an dryer 3 beds an an additional washer an dryer...(left the old washer an dryer to my room mate ) wanted new for my new place...anyways a good store f0r a decent price...I highly suggest getting the insurance for the maintenance of the appliances...

Yesterday my family and I had a bad experience when visiting the store, we were for more than 20 minutes waiting for the two ladies to finish talking to each other, which never happened, another Hispanic family was also waiting and there was never the cordial greeting of good afternoon in one minute Im with you, they just saw us and talked to each other while having their drinks. The other family left the store commenting that Hispanics were not welcome and we also left the store

This location would have received a lower rating had it not been for Brandy... Due to a busy schedule and being out of town, I ordered an appliance on-line and requested it to include delivery and installation. What the on-line order did not indicate, is that additional hardware would need to be ordered at an extra cost. In addition, on-line did not mention that they do not remove the old appliance, well they do but for an extra fee that wasnt mentioned either. I was about to cancel my on-line order but thanks to Brandy, she ensured the matter of concern was addressed. Therefore, Brandy you should move up to manage that place and thus better service to its customers - Thank You, Thank You!!! W.G.

Be aware of false advertising of online purchases. I live in Southern California and have a rental house north of Modesto. My rental needed a new dryer, so I purchased one from the Modesto location and picked it up on my way north. I payed for a New-Floor Model dryer, which states that it was never used, but has some cosmetic damage. I picked up the dryer after dark. The pick up location is around back in dimly lit alley and it was raining at the time. The worker who brought out the dryer informed me that they do not have any plastic to cover this dryer, so I had to rush over to WallMart to purchase some. When I finally got the dryer to my house and hooked it up the next day, I found that they had sold me a used dryer!!! It had lint and animal hair in the lint screen and glitter and dirt around the inside door gasket. I was very disappointed, but because my tenant needed this dryer, I could not take it back with me. When I called the store to tell them what they did and that I would never pay that much for a used dryer, they offered me only a $50 refund (which I still have not seen). What a scam! Over $600.00 for a dryer that I have not idea how long it has been used. No wonder Sears stores are closing around the country...Very poor business. They deserve negative stars for a review!

Didn’t think I’d be approved but I was wrong - great great great service. Took way longer than I expected but Brandy didn’t even care how many questions I had or how long it took. Will definitely go back soon as I’m looking for an upright freezer. Thanks for helping with my new fridge! It’s amazing.
