Where do I start. I dealt with Drew and no one on planet earth could have been more helpful. My son had a bad accident a month ago and finding parts is extremely hard to locate. Drew did not skip a beat when he offer multiple solutions and asked the right questions that lead me in the right direction. After sending Drew a few pictures we were able to determine that the least costly solution worked best for me and my Son. I live in Virginia and The Bikesmiths are in Milwaukee, but I tell you this. If ever the need arises; Drew and The Bikesmiths will be my first call. Happily I have tons of relatives in the area and when I am in town next I will make it a point to meet Drew and his entire staff. IMHO; they provide the best possible service. THANK YOU!

Place is a joke. I’ve had more problems after getting my bike back to be properly fixed, adjusted, and tuned up. A big joke.

The Panaracer Gravel King is a fast rolling and durable tire. These tires work good for me living in a rural town surrounded by three gravel quarries. All three of my bikes have Gravel KIng tires.

Fast shipping and incredible customer service - got my package way faster than expected, it arrived days before an Amazon 2-day package ordered the same day, and one of the products ordered was missing a piece in the internal packaging, so a manufacturer error, not theirs, but they still shipped me a replacement part right away after the manufacturer told me they didn’t have one in stock and told me to check again in 5 months. Was trying to find unusual tires for my Giant hybrid in Las Vegas not a small town with only one bike shop but nobody could help and most shops did not even answer their phone. To begin with those shops were recommendations as the best from big groups I belong to in Vegas on facebook. So I found bikesmiths and gave them a call and they invested a good twenty minutes in the call searching out tires and directing me to the correct clicks to view the treads and such. We came up with great tires including reflective strip total cost shipped to me in a few days LESS than by going into a shop where they must jack up price to make a profit. (middleman)also I got good bang for the buck with the phone call since I got every conceivable bit of info I asked instead of at counter in a shop with people standing around where they cant really answer anything or they try to hawk something in fast sale they want to get rid of that has highest profit margin. I would go into a shop for innocuous fixes or something but not really to buy anything.Bikesmiths was perfect to do business with I personally would have no reason in the future to jump around randomly searching again.

I ordered a bike online and it came partly assembled. I wasnt confident with the additional assembling I did. Brought to Bike Smith for a tune up. Dropped it off on a Tuesday, picked it up Thursday. It rides REALLY well! So impressed. Highly recommend them.

We had a 35 year old Bridgestone bicycle that had been sitting for years, because we couldnt find the correct size of tire anywhere local. Checking online first brought us to some rather expensive tires (about $60 per, for just the tires). When I came across the Bikesmiths, we found the proper size tires, with tubes and strips, for $46 dollars, including shipping. We ordered it Tuesday night and received it Friday during the day. We got the tires on and now its like when it was new! Thanks to the Bikesmiths for an excellent product at an excellent price.

I rarely write reviews but the selection, pricing, service and shipping for the bike smiths ( TheBikesmiths.com ) in Milwaukee was superb.I picked up a used Diamondback on craigslist as a spare second bike. it needed some work so it was not expensive. After repairing the broken rear spoke, installing a spoke guard, truing the wheel and replacing the front brake cable it rode reasonably well. the tires were funky, mismatched and not the proper size but OK enough until after a couple of days the rear tire was flat with a delimitation at the Schrader valve stem. I have my trek to ride my 25-30 miles a day so no rush. I wanted Kenda Kwest like on my trek had so what did I do? I went on to Amazon of course. However, I was disappointed. the did not have the greatest selection, unfortunately not the greatest pricing and even with Prime, it was going to be 2 weeks before I got them. Well, I did a search for the tires online. My bike needed the rear wheel straightened and the tire replaced. Based on labor, I actually paid $10 less than the original estimate and they even a capped a few nuisance wires free of charge! They held their doors open until I could get there at about 6 oclock and when I pedaled off on my bike, it rode like a dream. Customer service was excellent, being friendly, prompt, and honest. I would recommend this bike shop to anyone who needs repairs.

These guys are wonderful. Ive only needed to go a few times, as Ive just begun to use a bike more often. Theyre knowledgeable and quick about what they do. Best of all, theyre very kind, helpful, and didnt charge me for some of the smaller things I needed help with (i.e. lifting the seat on my bike--I dont own the correct wrenches to make that happen myself). Ill definitely continue to visit them for my bike needs.

Great Prices, Super Service.When I needed some bicycle supplies, this time, instead of going directly to Amazon, I did a Google search. The items I needed were not only on The Bikesmiths, but they were less expensive than on Amazon. With the standard free shipping, the purchase became a no brainer.We then had an issue with a bike bag going to a wrong address in a zipcode that did not match the address. I had a very good experience with Kyle there at Bikesmiths. He is a senior mechanic and seemed intent on reversing any negativity brought upon them from unfortunate hires in the past, as he described it. I took my vintage machine in there with a problem in the bottom bracket caused by another major shop here in Milwaukee that was neglecting to remedy it. Kyle took it under his care, so to speak… determined to find what the problem was. He spend much of his own time beyond the shops to diagnose and describe to me several times in detail what was causing the issue. He even took it apart and showed me the troubled spots, and when he was unable to go any further with it in its present form, he sent me out the door with zero charges to me at all. He even left a cable interrupter on my frame to make the rerouting of shifter cables a bit easier for this other shop, who thankfully FINALLY fixed it properly after much repetitive visits. These guys care and they have the knowledge and experience. I cant say about anyone elses experiences here but mine were great… the shop itself is well equipped and has a good stock of bikes and commuter bags and gear. They also have an eBay shop which if you see an item on there can pick it up locally at the store. Convenient to me! I would recommend giving them your business, they seem determined to do in the customer service areas where they may have lacked in the past. Shops and people can turn around, and that seems to be the direction theyre heading.

I was hating taking my bike because it was so hard to pedal that my knees would hurt. I took my bike to the bikesmith and it was returned it to me as new. The person doing the repair called at home, explain to me what was wrong (in very technical terms which I did not understand so he took his time to explain them to me) and how much it would cost. Then, he asked permission to proceed, instead of doing the work and then giving me the bill. I really appreciated it.

So I see an add on eBay for a pair of tires from the bikesmiths. So I call to see if I can get the same price if I come into store. Im told YES. After a 40 minute drive to get there Im told(by the same kid I talked to on phone, he remembered me)they dont have them. I got not all of our locations have everything. As far as I now this is a single local shop. Not only that the eBay add says ships from Milwaukee WI. He then tried to sell me tires that were 4x the price. From $39.90 a pair to $67.90 a piece. Needless to say I walked out rather angry and got a snide have a nice day sir. I then checked eBay again and amazing...still 14 left. Not only will I never even think of spending one penny at this place, I will advise any and everyone to shop elsewhere.

The bikesmiths have kept me mobile for 8 years and more, when my bike was stored outside all year, when my brakes froze, and my chain rusted out. They are skillful and caring folks and I think the world of them!

Every time I come in here theyre rude and act like Im not worth their time. Ended up buying a bike instead from Cory the Bike Fixer just a few blocks down and havent looked back (theyre super friendly and helpful). I wont ever spend money here at The Bikesmiths again. ALSO their online prices via eBay are much less than whats in store, what the heck is that?UPDATE: After being forced to come back out of emergency necessity for parts, theyve definitely changed their attitude. They BY FAR have the best prices on tires and tubes compared to anyone else, even the web, literally 50% off of what I could buy a tire for down the road. They are mostly helpful, and willing to find a solution. Theyre starting to grow on me, though I still spread my business out between them and another shop for now. Lots of improvement.

Last year during the ride for the arts my left pedal stripped out of the aluminum crank arm. Not knowing too much about bikes I assumed it would be a very expensive fix. After speaking with a Bikesmith employee and getting it fixed I wish I would have fixed my bike months ago.I spoke with several members of the Bikesmith staff and they were all very helpful and kind. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Just before 1:00 pm I brought Bikesmiths my wifes commuter bicycle with a flat back tire. I was told it was a fifteen minute job and would cost $15.00. I had things to do and left the bicycle there, promising to return between 2:00 and 2:30. When I returned the work was not done. There was a problem putting the wheel back. Well after 3:00 the bicycle was returned, but the back wheel now rubbed the frame. Returned and that problem was corrected. Then, on the way home the shifter did not work. These people do not know what they are doing. I will have to take this bike to another shop to correct the problem Bikesmiths created. This is a commuter bike, used daily. The only problem it had going in was a flat tire. I will never use this shop again.

Bought a used bike and stopped by to have them take a look to see if anything needed to be changed or replaced. Even though no one was in the store the staff acted like spending a minute talking to me was a total waste of their time. Completely unhelpful. I would have stuck around to shop a bit, but they made me feel so uncomfortable that leaving seemed like a much better option. I dont know much about bikes, but this is some of the worst retail customer service Ive ever experienced. Taking my bike to get looked at by someone else. Dont bother with this bike shop.

Dont go here, Cory the Biker Fixer and Milwaukee Bicycle Co are infinitely better shops.When I first bought my bike, the owner said that if I could a u lock for my bike he would lower the price to $21, and then charged me $30 anyways so I had to come back for a refund.Their adjustment policy was made completely unclear to me. After I got my first (And apparently my last) adjustment, I took my bike back several weeks later to get my brakes adjusted. They held my bike for 6 days before they called me back and said they wouldnt do it because I had already got my 1 tuneup and the brakes were not the original ones the bike came with.I know for a fact that adjusting mechanical disc brakes only takes 20 minutes tops, and I was very surprised that they wouldnt even do that one last service for me because of the misunderstanding.Sorry guys, Ill take my business elsewhere, as should anyone reading this review.

I bought a pair of pedals in March 2020 on ebay and after a few months looking at the trackin information I found out that it never left the United States due to an error in the loaded address. It has been 6 months since I made the purchase and I did not receive the product or information about where it is. Logically the tracking number is obsolete and I have no way to contact the seller or ebay to get the money back. I got scammed. In my country, the price of the product represents a great effort for me. I feel very disappointed
