The service I received at Six String Theory by Albert was nothing short of amazing. I took in my late fathers Fender ‘65 Twin Reverb in for service; mainly to see if I could get the grill cloth replaced as it had deteriorated over time. (And my mischievous toddler had gotten to it and thought it would be fun to pull and tear it to shreds.) I explained to him that I was mainly looking to get the grill cloth replaced but would like to get any maintenance that it needed to get done and explained the sentimental value the amp had for me. He was very professional and assured me that he would take care of it like it was his own. Throughout the whole process he kept in contact with me and when I went in to pick it up... WOW! Was I blown away! The time and attention to detail that Albert puts into his work really shows in the finished result. Anytime I need any service done on any guitar or amp in the future, there’s only one place I will be dropping it off for service at; Six String Theory. I brought three high-end acoustic guitars to Albert for set-up—and acoustic guitars lack the fine adjustment screws found on electric guitars. He charged a fair price, got the work done quickly, and my instruments have never played better. And last year, he refurbished a tube amp Id had for over 20 years. My musical friends are equally pleased with the service and attention to detail. A+. Highly recommended.

Albert is meticulous and detail oriented. I really trust him with all of my guitars and suggest you do it too, no matter if you have an extremely rare/vintage guitar for a tough refretting job or just a quick service. I came in with a $500 guitar that was rather mediocre, but however I liked it. It didn’t stay in tune, needed some adjustments, and some work done all around. My guitar teacher told me to take it to Six String Theory and I went if that’s the best place in Miami that’s where I’ll go. I have to say I don’t know how he does it, but this guitar feels like it cost me double the amount it’s worth. It stays in tune really good, it feels easier to play, and is just all around better than what I got out of the box. Completely recommend this place to anyone experiencing any issues with a guitar of any kind, 20/10.

Brought my Les Paul in because the fretboard was separating, and there was a crack by one of the volume knobs. Brought it in and spoke with Albert (really nice guy), and he finished the work faster than he had anticipated. My guitar now looks and plays great. Great place to bring your gear!

Albert is professional, responsive and does a great job. I brought my new (to me) Telecaster in for a setup and Albert got it sounding and feeling amazing! He also did a setup on my acoustic and the slightly lowered action has helped significantly. He does a great job overall and he gets your instrument back to you in a very reasonable amount of time. I will definitely be bringing my guitars back for their routine maintenance and will likely have Albert help me out with adding some electronics to my acoustic.

My bass adjustments had gotten out of wack over the preceding months. An accomplished guitar player and good friend of mine recommended Albert to do the adjustments. I made the arrangements to bring my bass to him. He was totally professional, asking me my preferences as well referring to Musicman specifications. After a short time he called to inform me he was finished. Upon Arrival he had me play it. It was nice but asked for a slight adjustment which he did on the spot. It sounds and feels great. TL;DR Amazing service, well worth the price, my bass sounds much better all around.I took in a bass that was handed down to me and I had never gotten it looked at professionally. One day I decided it was about time I took it to get professionally setup/maintenance, and looked around for somewhere to take it. I saw this place was small and local so I thought Id give them a chance. Man am I ever happy I did, my bass sounds much better all around, feels a lot better, and when run through a digital program to check the sound, everything was registering extremely well and hitting all the notes perfectly. THIS!!! this is the guy you need to go to. I took my esp horizon that guitar center mess up to Albert. Not only he fix it, he found issues that I was not even aware of it. I found Albert on-line after other luthiers reluctance to tackle the challenging assignment of repairing/replacing deteriorated binding on my 1967 Guild Starfire II bass guitar. Reviewing photos of the damage, he invited me to bring in the instrument for a closer examination, at which time he determined he would need to remove and replace its crumbling binding completely. He showed me samples, explained the process, and reassured me this was a task well within his capacity. He quoted a reasonable price and timeline, and adhered to both, providing periodic updates and photos. The finished product is glorious: he not only rejuvenated the formidable musical instrument I’ve played for half a century, he restored an antique work of art. Im thrilled beyond expectations.

I’ve been gigging professionally for 7 years now, and changed luthiers often in the beginning.I’ve been getting my gear worked on by Albert now for about 4-5 years and I’m always impressed with his work. I happened upon Albert after reading online reviews. I had an amp that was 20+ years old and, other than playing through it, I had not shown it much love. Unsurprisingly, there was a marked change in the tone and the pots were acting up. I didn’t want to take my equipment to just any big box store. Able, Adaptable, Scientific, Perfection! The legendary luthiers behind SixStringTheory can literally do anything you ask, no joke, straight facts, caso cerrado! I came to them looking to mutilate my bass in the name of practicality and experimentation, but instead what I got was NOT a functional but disfigured beast BUT IN FACT ART! My now 13-PIN MIDI capable 6-String Bass works great, plays great, sounds great, looks great, etc... If your were to put this bass up for sale at a music store you would think it was brand new from the factory, thats how precise and clean their work and craftsmanship is. My bass, which was once stock and basic, is now a unique and special piece that will be with and used by me till I depart into forever. I loving call it my Yamaha-Fortes MIDI6. Im just saying, to ask them for a simple setup would be a waste, ask for a handmade bass or guitar. Based of the work that was done here I can guarantee that a custom instrument from SixStringTheory will be better then anything you can bring them. I cant say enough good things about them. highly recommend!

Albert at six string theory is the best Luthier/ amp repair guy i have ever dealt with. Very fair and very honest. He doesnt string you along ( no pun intended lol) he is efficient and if he promises he will have your Orange tube amp fixed and ready for you before your next gig, u can count on it! I have had him do all my guitar work since i met him a few years ago and will never take my girls anywhere else ( my 11 year old daughter is always confused why i name all my guitars after women). In fact I never knew he repaired amps so when i found out I was pretty happy since the only other place i ever dealt with was reflections and they are HORRIBLE!!!! anyways if you got a problem with your gear do yourself a favor and go check him out. hes got a cool little shop in the back of this hip bead store. Oh and the guy can shred the guitar so much so that after watching him play i decided i was going to just quit haha. Juanabees ROCK!
