Best auto repair experience Ive ever had. It was the third place I went to get my Toyota truck clutch pedal fixed but the first place to successfully fix it. I think they care as much about my vehicle as I do! Friendly people! Walker listened to my explanations, and communicated with me effectively, efficiently, and professionally. I live 125 miles away but I will return to Railside for repairs in the future.

After recent frustrations with my now past mechanic and trying to find a good honest auto shop, Im really glad I gave this place a try. Someone recommended them to my recently widowed neighbor and after she told me how they treated her and how honest they were, I was impressed. I have made the mistake of giving a good review to a business before after one visit, only to be disappointed on the next visit, but I can say now after several visits that this is definitely my go-to repair place now. I occasionally do some of my own auto care, so I know a little about autos and am not easily conned. However, thats not a worry here: good honest professionals at a great value. Its obvious if you talk to the owner (Walker) he is a very knowledgeable and friendly guy. My first visit was for a transmission issue on my Honda Civic and he nailed the problem with an accurate diagnosis and economical fix. I was impressed with how he took the time to explain what he thought was going on with the transmission and what would fix it; which he did. Also, everyone is very friendly, the place is very clean and what I like is how organized they are in the scheduling and repairs. I would not hesitate to recommend Railside Auto to family and friends; I actually want people to have a good auto repair or service experience.

Doing most of my own work, Railside is the only place I’ll take my vehicles. Walker is honest and fair with his business and does not try to sell you anything more than what you need.

The gentleman that owns this place goes by the name of Walker White and his lovely wife Lindsey. Ive been a loyal customer since 2012. Everybody can agree that its very difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic, and Ive been fortunate enough to have found one. Even though I have moved out of the area I still make the hike to go to Railside Auto because I know that my car will be taken care of, and the price may not always be cheap but you know its accurate and guaranteed. Walker is a real down-to-earth gentleman who over the years his business has grown and kept him extremely busy. The only downside to that thats at some of the repairs cannot be made as fast as someone may want but its worth the wait if you want it done correctly. When anyone ever asks me a car question I always speak very highly of Railside Auto and advised them to go there and speak with Walker himself. Getting Walker by himself sometimes proved to be difficult because hes so busy, but once you get a few minutes to discuss your vehicle he gives you his undivided attention. I hope the next time I move its not too far from Walker, a lot of people worried about school districts when they move myself included, but my mechanic is also one of those concerns.

Walker is the only mechanic I trust with my cars because I know he is not gonna take advantage of me and rip me off. I have been going to Railside for years and should have left a review sooner! This is the most trustworthy auto repair shop you will find in Charlotte. Most recently my brake lamp light came on and I took it to another auto repair shop (only bc it was closer to my house) and was quoted an obscene amount of money to replace my front brake pads and rotors. I called Railside and was told they charge way less for those replacements. When I brought my car to Railside for the replacements, they took a look and said I actually didnt need to replace them and I was able to save a lot of money. Thank you Walker and team for ALWAYS being honest, fair and delivering speedy service!

There are a few things you always have to figure out when you move to a new city. best pizza, good doc, and a mechanic you can trust. In the south charlotte area Walker is the best mechanic around and...I would even say more importantly...I trust him. Its worth the trip out to stallings since you only need car work a few times a year at most. Btw - Im not a review writer but this place is just good.

I have never had such wonderful people to work with that I can trust with my car issues. This place was phenomenal about getting me in and out!!! highly highly recommend them!!!!!!

My F150 blew out a spark plug ( I was not aware this would even happen) which caused immediate power loss and a horrendous noise. Expecting the worst, I called Rail Side Auto and inquired about engine rebuilds/replacement. Walker correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone and allayed my fears. He replaced all eight spark plugs per my request and the associated ignition coil under his initial estimate. This final price was also under other estimates for replacing all spark plugs from other shops! I am so pleased that he has all my future business even though he is a little farther from my home than I would like. I feel honesty and competence in a mechanic are rare and combined with reasonable, fair prices is near impossible to find. Its a shame all businesses are not operated as Rail Side Auto is operated.
