Had an amazing experience working with Billy Samounty! He helped us lease my first car - a brand new 2022 Volvo S60 B5 - and made sure our entire process went smoothly. The dealership gave me a good deal with several rebates and discounts that Volvo was offering on the S60. Billy did a great job of going over all the features of the car and answered all the questions we had about the car and about leasing. Had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Volvo of Marietta and my sales person was Billy Samounty. I can honestly say Billy is an exceptional sales person. I admire his honest, depth of knowledge and his easy going attitude. I was really conflicted regarding the amount of money I would be spending, however Billy reassured me that I was making a good investment and really counseled me through the buying process. I did not feel pressured to make the purchase which is rare in the car business. I will definitely be using Billy as my sales person for any future purchase.

I received a $100 gift certificate when i purchased my car at the mall of Georgia Jim Ellis Group. This was my first service on the car . And instead of going to the Jim Ellis mall of Ga location i went to the Marietta location the service people there didnt want to accept it at all even though is a Jim Ellis Group gift card. I honestly didnt have a problem paying for a price for a service on my car, but as a consumer when you have the expectations of buying a car from Volvo you would think they should be able to honor a gift certificate issued by the same business Group. The service managers didnt even bother at all to honor. Or make any effort . They simply said no. I was very disappointed in this location that i will not get my car service here ever.

We just purchased a new XC90 through Billy, and it was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had! He was professional, honest, trustworthy and didn’t try to sell us on anything we didn’t need or want. He conducted all of the communication via text until it was time to but. Volvo brought the suv to our house, so I didn’t have to sit at the office for hours finalizing everything. Would recommend this dealership to anyone!

My mother and I went car shopping at Jim Ellis Volvo of Marietta on May 15, 2021 to look for a new vehicle.We were immediately greeted by Mr. Giovanni Holmes, who made us feel comfortable at the showroom and he showed us around and guided us through the available cars there.I must say that this was my best car shopping experience ever. The salesman was very informative and he was able to answer every question we had regarding the vehicles we looked at.The General sales Manager Mr. Matt made every one of our request possible and delivered excellent outstanding customer service.I would also like to recognize Ms. Amanda Cantrell the finance manager that explained everything and every document that we signed she made the finance experience at ease and a comfort. To sum it up, these three individuals are well rounded employees and they exemplify what customer service is all about.We purchased two 2021 Volvo XC60.

Billy Samounty was incredibly helpful! My husband and I came by to test drive the XC40, and he had a great method of having us sit in a demo car to review the features stationary, and then took us to a model to test drive. He explained everything very well and was honest and professional. We appreciated how much he knew about the technology and details - very knowledgable.After trying a few other cars, we came back and decided on the XC40, and went through with the purchase with him. Were happy we did! Billy and Amanda, a manager there, were great to work with.

Had a fantastic experience at Volvo of Marietta. I worked with Alexis in purchasing my XC60 and she could not have been more thorough and kind throughout the process. She took her time with me and made sure that I understood all of the trim packages and everything that Volvo had to offer. If I could give them a ZERO or a negative 10, I would.I made an appointment with this location 2 weeks ago. With the request to have a service car. I was told Yes, we have you booked with a car.I called the day before my appointment just to make sure everything was in order and to make sure I had a service car. I was told everything was confirmed and in order. I show up this morning and they say We dont have any service cars...all the cars are out of gasIm irritated that NO ONE contacted me beforehand but Im trying to be understanding because of the gas issue. I ask if they have a car with ANY GAS just something to get me to the gas station...I JUST NEED A CAR. Im told NO, WE DONT HAVE ANY CARS I ask if they will be getting gas anytime soon. Im told NO, THERES NO GAS...NO CARS ARE GOING OUT TODAY10 minutes later, Im still standing there, trying to figure out what Im going to do...how am I going to get to my appointments THEN I see a service guy hand over keys to an older white male...KEYS TO A SERVICE CAR.I ask again, if they have a car for me. No Im told again. I say, you just gave that guy keys to a service car. They all start looking at each other...THAT WAS THE LAST CAR WITH GAS they say.Please note: Im a young woman of color and its clear to me that I am not getting the same service as the white male.WHY DID I NOT GET THAT CAR?!. WHY DIDNT ANYONE RUN AROUND LOOKING FOR A CAR FOR ME?!.I request my keys back and ask for me car. Im not giving my money to a place that passes over me...dont give me the SAME level of service.AND what made it even more incredibly different to not clearly see and feel what really happen, happened, after leaving the location, I drove to a gas station ⛽ minutes down the road to put gas in my car.5 minutes was all it took.

The bad experience has been the service department. Buying my car here was a fabulous experience, 5 stars, but dealing with the service department has not been enjoyable. I get a different story every time I talk to someone about basic things like has my tire arrived. I’ve been here four times in the past 2 weeks. I should have only been here once, twice tops.

I saw the vehicle on line, and inquired about its availability through the website on 6/24/2021. I was not contacted by a sales person until 6 days later on 6/30. I asked for pricing, delivery possibilities (I was an out of town buyer), etc. I was not contacted again by the sales person until 7/10, and then a follow up contact on 7/12. After the initial lengthy delay, from 7/12 until the purchase was complete, my salesman was helpful and prompt with responses. There was just a very long delay up until that point. We negotiated a fair, cash, delivered price with no trade and no financing. I was handed off to the Finance Manager to handle the paperwork transfer. He originally worked off of the wrong quoted price, and that had to be corrected. Once that was resolved, I gave him all of the registration information - names, address, etc. for the paperwork. That was overnighted to me, but it was incorrect, and not what I sent. A new packet was sent, and it was still not as I had instructed. (I asked for it to be registered in my name OR my wifes name, and not AND, but he said it could not be done that way, which I know is incorrect.) We went ahead and signed everything as it was presented, and returned it. The original price of the vehicle had an adder for tint on the door glass on the 2 front doors, which I was told had already been done. But, after I had already paid and we were trying to schedule delivery, I was told they had to wait on the tint guy to tint the glass. So, instead of them leaving the Atlanta area to deliver my car to Birmingham early that morning, it did not leave Atlanta until after 5:00 pm, and there was another delivery on the transporter that had to be made first. The car finally arrived at my house at 10:30 pm. The transport driver was extremely helpful and courteous, and kept me informed of his ETA throughout the process. The dealer left the MSO out of the paperwork that was delivered with the vehicle. That resulted in a wasted trip to the DMV to try and get my title and tag. After another call to the Finance Manager to get them to overnight that to me. We absolutely love the vehicle. But, we feel the dealers internet buying experience could be improved upon, especially with their response time and any dealings with the Finance Manager.

Showed up for an appointment, but our sales rep was working with someone else. Didnt have the decency to speak when we walked in, but instructed the receptionist to find someone else for us like we were invisible. We awkwardly stood around while we were treated like a hot potato because no one wanted to help us. Eventually we were taken out on a test drive by another sales rep who squeezed us in because he had an appointment. Uh, didnt we, too? Sales rep never followed up with us even we when said we were interested in purchasing in a week. Ive never heard of a dealership not following-up with a customer. I will say Caucasians seemed to be happy there. If youre African-American, which we were the only ones there at the time, stay away. The whole thing seemed hostile like they believed African-Americans cant afford a Volvo so they didnt want to waste their time. It seems like dont want your money. Which honestly, after being treated that way, is fine.

My experience with the sales rep (Nathan) started extremely well. He is great to work with and helped me locate the perfect vehicle. Communications after that seemed to come mainly from the sales manager who avoided (or ignored) very simple questions. It was also frustrating since messages werent signed so I didnt even know who I was talking with. The financing department was excellent, very quick and easy to work with. However, my car wasnt completely ready at pick up. I had to wait for accessories to arrive and once they did, they then said I had to wait two additional weeks for a service appointment to get them installed. I ended up getting a local mechanic to install them for me.Overall, I went out of my way to use this dealership based on past experience, but I feel customer service has gone downhill. It became the car buying experience many of us hate, and I doubt I will use them again.

Upon entering the dealership, I was welcomed. I felt comfortable by the fact that they were protective of their employees and me. They had a station set up for taking temperatures, hand sanitizer, and masks were made available if you did not have your own. A sticker identified you as having passed their safety check.My salesperson was temporarily out bringing a car up. However, they contacted her and shared that I was there. They offered me drinks and snacks and kept me in the loop while I waited.Upon arrival, my salesperson (Susan)introduced herself and let me know she had the vehicle I was interested in right outside. It was used, but was detailed and looked brand spanking new. We test drove the vehicle. What questions the salesperson was unable to answer she researched. She was very personable. The whole process was professionally handled.The lengthiest part was waiting on the paperwork. I do think that part took a bit too long.However, I came from out-of-town and after purchasing the car they drove it all the way to the TN state line for me to pick up. It had been thoroughly cleaned and was all gassed up.Great dealership experience and great vehicle! Thanks so much! Would definitely recommend the dealership and especially my Susan to anyone in need of a good vehicle and a stellar experience!!

Update- The general manager Mike contacted me this morning and made things right! He was extremely helpful, concerned, and took the time to listen to my feedback and made me feel valued as a customer! I appreciate his concerns and working to get everything situated for me.Beware!!!! The service department is the absolute worst! The street name matches the experience which is rotten! This is my second time at this location and I was treated like trash each visit. If you are African-American theres a presence at this location that you dont belong and they do not want to serve or assist you in any capacity! It is absolutely unacceptable! When I arrived the safety precautions were adhered to as it relates to temperature check/sticker for todays date before entering into the building and connecting with the service advisor which was great! However, upon entering the building no one greeted me, when I walked in or even acknowledged my presence! I own a Volvo S90 I made an appointment for today and planned to drop my car and wait for it. My service advisor Kevin who was just as Dry as the Dry Eyes guys commercial never looked me in the face and proceeds to tell me that oh you scheduled a drop off, I said yes the website wouldnt allow me to add comments. He then proceeds to talk about how busy they are and that it would be three or four hours before they could even get to my car and due to COVID-19 they dont allow you to wait that long! How extremely inconsiderate of my time and me making an appointment! He did nothing to accommodate me or assist me and only offered to reschedule. Absolutely no customer experience skills!!! Nothing was done to even try and get my car service for today! I was pre judged prior to arrival and treated like I stole a Volvo. I know this is not how Volvo operates and its just this location. For great service where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and you are valued as a customer please check out Dyer and Dyer Volvo it is about 45 minutes away from me with no traffic but, they provide exceptional service! I will never return to Marietta and I will be sharing my experience with corporate! Get yourselves together and train your service advisor on soft skills and treating the customer as a priority.

Kyle was very responsive, thorough and helped resolve my XC90 issue to my satisfaction. The service I received here is far superior than the Northern Volvo dealership I used to fret going to. Ok, so I normally rate buying a car via a dealer about the equivalent of getting dental work done. Will something different happened this time. I s very pleasantly surprised when I bought a used car from Volvo cars of Marrietta. Sales staff (Billy in particular) was excellent and not pushy. The final step (money) was painless too. I felt that everything about the process was professional, HONEST, and friendly. Definitely at variance with my previous dealer encounters. I recommend this dealer.

This might be my first ever one-star review. First, our shopping experience with David was fantastic, and we love our xc90. This review is regarding the service center for this dealership. While not all of the employees we’ve encountered have been incompetent, the general service that this shop provides is inefficient, overpriced, and generally not worthy of trust. Three times now our nearly new Volvo has been in their shop for a week (for very minor problems or regular service, and twice I’ve had to call them to find out that my car is ready for pickup. You’d assume that the instant your vehicle is ready, they would notify you rather than keep your vehicle for an extra weekend. It takes Volvo a week to do what Toyota finishes for us in 30 minutes. On top of that, their “warranty” is useless and not worth relying on. We used it once for a broken latch on a seat, and they accepted it. The second time, we brought it in for a broken air vent, and they charged us $200 saying that the A/C vents are “trim options” and not covered by warranty. In which of your vehicles are there no A/C vents because it’s a base model??? They simply do not want to have to perform warranty work and will make excuses to be able to nickel and dime their customers. So glad I didn’t buy any kind of extended warranty, because it means nothing here. I’m re-explaining to every service representative what the nature of my visit is, having to return because they completely skipped over the primary reason I’m bringing the car in for service, trying to haggle for simple warranty work (unsuccessfully), being told three different prices for a single service, and I’m having to call to find out if I can have my car back after a week long oil change. This final visit was the last time I take my vehicle for service here. We are quoted for $191 for a 50k service, and we come to pick the vehicle up after another 5 days without a car, and the bill comes to $320. They tell my wife that since she agreed to pay in the $300 range while she was dropping the car off for me, unaware that I had been quoted lower, that the $320 price stands. They claim that some additional service was needed, but I was never contacted to confirm the additional costs. They gave us $50 off of the $320, but WAY too little, way too late. I am not the kind of person to leave negative reviews, and if you see the ones I’ve written, they are 99% 5-star reviews, but they earned this one-star review with flying colors. Great sales team backed by an awful service department makes me unlikely to purchase from this dealership again.

The service was by far the most impeccable I have ever experienced. Every employee plays such an important role and you can tell they love what they do. There was no hassle, no car dealership anxiety from a sales person. They honestly made me the happiest person. I am beyond in love with my car. Gerbick runs a dream team! Nkosi is my favorite! Dont buy your car from this dealership and most worst thing is their service department. Management should really look into the issues I faced while I was there for my car service. If you not white and you have slang or accent they will treat you like trash. Not one time almost my 3 times visit made me leave a review. They show so much discrimination towards me and my wife when we went there for our car service.

Walked in Friday morning 9ish looking to purchase a vehicle I saw online. Ans the receptionist informed me that it may be a very long wait all the salesmen are with customers.I didn’t see anyone on the floor or outside.Called back to inquire about the same vehicle a few days later and was informed by email it was sold. A week later the vehicle was still online as available so I inquired and the sales rep replied that he doesn’t think the vehicle is available.Would never reccomend this business to anyone.

Terrible service, found a truck. Called and they told me to put a $1,000 deposit. Salesman said let me ask the manager. Then he tells me no dont worry just come one down here. It was a hour and 20 minute drive for me to get there. Got there and someone else was already doing paper work on it. The manager said they dont do deposits on used vehicles. Wasted 5 hrs of a day for no reason. Terrible

The car buying experience with Giovanni was excellent. The issue occurred when we left the car lot to make the drive back home two hours away to Greenville. We were told that all the lights worked and my mom noticed as she was driving behind me that my running lights weren’t working. Again, after we were just told before we signed papers that everything was working. She immediately called Tyler the guy who works in finances and he said “we will make it right first thing Monday.. this is a great family owned company, don’t worry we will make it right. Blow my phone up if you need to.” After multiple phone calls, voicemails and text messages we are left with no response. If you’re going to promise something follow through with it and be good to your word. Extremely disappointed.

This rating is specifically for the service center based on an awful experience i had today. With an 11:30 am appointment time set up in advance I arrived on time to have basic service checkup and oil change for volvo sedan. Service rep told me it would be about 1.5 to 2 hrs due to their workload. I said ok and waited on car. Over 2 hrs later and the car had not yet even been started! Took almost an 1.5 hrs to finally get the car done and out. Why did I waste time making an appointment??!!! Best rep and even service manager could say was sorry. Someone needs to review how they manage and schedule the work...I dont mind waiting, but if you give me an appt time I expect it to be closely honored. Guaranteed they would have been calling me if I did not show up on time and probably tried to charge. Going to Jiffy lube from now on. Never wasting time here again!

I dropped my car off for a routine service two days ago. I was told it would be done the next day or the following day at the latest. I just called and they haven’t started on my car and they don’t know when they will start. I’m driving 30 mins to take to the other Volvo location. Terrible customer service. You should keep your appointments and notify a customer of changes. I’ve been without a car for no reason.

Pulled into the dealership today and really wanted to learn more about Volvo and the products they offered. Spoke with a sales representative and told him I didnt know if I wanted to test drive yet, but i wanted to learn more about what Volvo had to offer. He took me and my fiance outside and he showed me two types of SUVs. He then said that these two are open and to look around. When I asked him about turning it on, he said they look the same turned on. I said what about the virtual instrument cluster, I want to see how it works, he brushed me off again and said it is no different on. I thought educating the customer to gain their trust about a product was a part of the job in sales. I dont know if he was new to sales or just didnt want to give me the time of day to show me anything, so we decided to leave the dealership because apparently our time and money didnt matter .

We used to go here for basic maintenance until they tried to price gouge on an oil change last Friday. Full synthetic is understandably more expensive, but trying to charge a 50% increase - $145 (+ tax) for an oil change - one year later is a joke. The guy at the service desk tried to make up some BS about how they were losing money on oil changes, but his body language proved he was lying through his teeth. We booked an appointment with Rocco’s for $110 and will never set foot here again.6/22 edit - They called my wife today to offer us a free oil change in exchange for taking this review down, because (paraphrasing), “they know how important reviews are.”Do you though? Apparently, not enough to treat a previously loyal customer right. We won’t be back.

Excellent dealer, but kind of lousy set up for a dealership. Their road frontage is tiny, but all their cars are covered... which I like. Helps in weather and the cars stay out of harms way.It did take a LONG time to purchase....3 hours. Several people were in front of me, so perhaps they need more staff when busy. But everyone was nice and no pressure. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: Dont be fooled by his attempt to discredit my review as a ghost or fake review. I sent him an email a week ago and have not heard anything back, which at this point I will not do any business with them so he can keep his reply. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!!I scheduled a 1:00pm service appointment and reserved a loaner car online. I had my vacation ruined due to an issue with my sunroof and was well aware the repair would take a day or two. I show up for my appointment on time and the service advisor tells me that they have no loaners available and he was aware their website was allowing people to reserve loaners even though they did not have any. Instead of notifying me prior to my appointment that I might need to make other arrangements to get back home they allow me to show up. When I told the service advisor if I did not have a loaner it would put me in a postion with no transportation, no ride back home, he just gave me a blank stare. I left, took my vehicle to a different dealership and was able to get a loaner. So avoid this dealership, take the extra time and go to Chamblee or Alpharetta the service is much better and they both communicate proactively.

I have only had my Volvo serviced at this location since purchasing it in 2013. Ive been so impressed with the service and the teams clear communication that I scheduled my last service at this location even after I moved out of the area. I arrived 20 minutes early for my confirmed appointment, and the team had no record of it. I then sat in the waiting room for 2.5 hours for a simple oil change. Perhaps this was an anomaly for the otherwise efficient service center, but I will not go out of my way to book my next service at this location.

Had a great experience with a purchase of a S90. I live in Indiana and found the car through much searching on the internet for a good price and a car that would meet my needs. Had many discussions with Tommy from sales and Michael the general manger, they held the car for a period of time as I was helping an ill friend. The staff was friendly and welcoming and made sure I was taken care of with the same details as if I had purchased the car from them . A purchase of new tires with alignment fell into the same pricing ( Tire Rack) as any supplier on line and saved me an additional trip to an independent tire shop .
