Waited 15 minutes for Propane tank service. Left after no response. You may be able to rent a truck or buy boxes, but you will likely endure long wait times. If you are looking for work, they have a now hiring sign.

I really got the feeling that you cared about me and my preferences (unlike the customer service guy that I talked to beforehand who apparently has no idea about how the hitch is installed.) Thank you for doing such a great job and even saving me money!I know Im not the average customer who is trying to rent a truck or get a propane refill. But despite the short staffing and the longer wait in the store, it was a pleasant experience. Thanks again!!

They are either incompetent at their jobs that it takes this long to do them, or equally incompetent at customer service to leave a store full of people for 20 minutes at a time, completely without any customer support or explanation.

They are so understaffed that they cannot help you with propane. The first time I rang the bell, people acknowledged me but after 20 minutes no one came. The second time there was only one person on the counter and couldn’t come out to help me while they had customers in-line inside. The third time I actually stood in-line for 15 minutes and told the person at the counter that I needed propane; another five minutes later someone finally came out to help. They definitely don’t want my and your business.

I hired a van at U haul, 4128 Bardstown Rd. I waited for almost an hour to pick up (even though booked 2 days ago) and even dropped the van after waiting for more than an hour. I returned the vehicle after refuelling it at the same level I received. But even though they charged me an additional $25.50 for the fuel which is unfair. II have never seen such a worst service. I approached the general manager, Miss.Debra and she refused to refund the amount and she told me to go for arbitration complaint.I will never recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give it 0 stars I would, and I will never be back. Pulled in at 2:45 on a Wednesday and not the last week of the month. All I wanted was to refill my propane tank for my grill. A worker in the parking lot saw me, and said someone would be over in a couple of minutes. I still rang the bell as instructed just to be sure. 45 minutes later no one had come out to help, and a person behind me had actually gone inside to get help as well. We both wound up leaving without being assisted. This is not the first time Ive experienced something like this here, but it was the worst, and as I said will be the last.

Dont use them if you dont have to. We waited for over an hour to get a truck and then they wanted to add that hour to our time with the truck. There was a line out the door and only 1 person working the counter. There were almost 6 or more other workers just milling about outside. You would think one of them could come in and help.

I have never had such an awful experience with customer service. I had a scheduled pickup at 9:30pm and when I got to the location and started the pickup, it said my reservation had been changed to the next morning with no communication. There were two employees still inside and I tried to ask them why it was changed when I’m seeing 6 cargo vans on the lot, and all they did was complain about how long they had been there, and kept saying “we’re closed you can’t pick it up” when Uhaul has a 24/7 pickup option, then walked away from me mid sentence and rolled their eyes at me. After calling the customer service line, they told me the location simply didn’t put my key in the lockbox for me to be able to pick it up. If I could give zero stars I would. Waste of gas and waste of time. The two employees working tonight (6/23) were awful and should have never been hired to work customer service.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATIONWe did an online reservation with online pick up but we had to wait in the line to pick up the keys. However, people couldn’t be checked in because there were trucks blocked in and the staff didn’t know where the keys were to move the trucks and I know many people were in the same boat as us. We used this location 6 months ago and the line was ridiculous and very unorganized, and so was not great but it was not this bad.

Extremely poor service...actually. NO service! Pulled up behind a man waiting to get propane tanks filled and I also had 2. We both rang bell; machine was open and ready. A 3rd car with 2 tanks pulled in behind me. Wanted to know how long we had been waiting. I told him 10 minutes. He said time is money so he went inside. When he came out he said they had no intention of serving us and was simply going to let us stand in the 90 degree heat. Both left but I stayed and called corporate. One of 3 employees loafing around nearby smoking overheard me and approached, saying they were short staffed and pointed to the manager who was walking by. I told them both that if they had simply filled up my tanks (after waiting 30 minutes) it would have taken less time than it did to tell me they would try to get to me. Manager said there were too many people in line inside in front of me, yet I watched 3 customers pull in and leave while I was standing there. Dont waste your time with them.

Worst u-haul location I have ever been to theres a guy named Gary I dont know if he was on meth or what it was but he could not sit still I was paying cash waited an hour finally got to the front then I was told sorry you will have to wait I cannot accept Cash the only guy with a cash drawer was doing everything he possibly could to avoid that cash register like Im sorry but I have stuff to do I cant wait at u-haul for 3 hours then try to help your employee and end up busting my knee and bleeding everywhere

The employees are rude, and I waited at an empty counter for over 20 minute before someone helped me. When I rented a truck, there was damage not included in the rental agreement. When I asked the employee what to do, she shrugged her shoulders and said she didnt know. This place is a complete mess, avoid if you can and go to another location.

I rented a van for a few days and my charge should have been around $200.. I got the bill and it was over $1,000 AND my email receipt showed it was returned several days later after it was actually returned. I called corporate and they have no notes indicating why my charge would be so high and said theyd investigate. Nothing back and now they wont take my calls. This place steals money!

I’m so extremely disappointed with my experience at Uhaul that I won’t be using them again. I reserved a truck at a location close to me only for Uhaul to change the pickup and drop off location the day before. This created an inconvenience for me and added miles that I had to pay for! When I arrived at my pick up time, there were no trucks available. I had to wait 30 minutes for a truck. Meanwhile my movers were waiting on me. Once again money out of my pocket because of Uhaul’s poor customer service.

Honestly if I could give 1 star to UHaul as a company, I would. We started after a truck or trailer at 11am. After two locations (that falsely showed online availability) we finally were able to reserve a trailer at this location. Upon entry the woman in line in front of us asked the cashiers if there was a separate line for those that had already reserved and paid online. Staff (rudely) told her that she would have to wait for them to get through everyone in line. So we waited. And waited. And heard them tell several people that the trailer they reserved was not available. And we waited some more.. They sorted out two trailers between the woman in front of us and another man (she wanted a smaller he wanted a larger, so they worked that out but she had to stay to sign some paperwork) and then some woman came marching in to the front of the line wanting to change her online reservation from a covered to an uncovered trailer and pickup. They ALLOWED this. The computers freeze.. They struggle and keep being rude to/about the woman who was in front of me (who was highly concerned about covid and their lack of masks /improper usage) and allowed the woman who cut line to complete her transaction and loaded her trailer. I remained calm, Im next in line, I thought.THEY PROCEED TO HELP THE WOMAN BEHIND ME IN LINE. At that moment I left the store and called the 800 number and waited on hold for 30+ minutes to cancel the reservation that I had already paid for. Finally, at almost 4pm, we are purchasing a trailer of our own so we never have to rent from such a nightmare organization ever again.

Never will I ever use 4128 Bardstown Road Uhaul again. You will get a quote and upon turning the vehicle you will be charged more than you were quoted. The Assistant Manager Trey is very unprofessional and rude. I returned the vehicle with more gas, less miles than I needed,, and earlier than I had to and he tried to say I returned it late. I took pictures of when I picked up, the mileage, and the gas and did the same when I returned it. If you use this location make sure you document everything. I will go further out of my way if I ever need a uhaul again. Needs new management that has been fully trained. Beware of Bardstown.

Terrible place to rent a moving vehicle. I highly recommend going elsewhere. I had to use this store due to the truck not starting at the originally U-Haul location. I was told I would receive a $50.00 credit but they failed to honor that. I went to return the U-Haul and there were practically no places to park the truck. I went to ask a store employee a question and they were rude and didn’t want to help. The line was out the door and very slow. I used U-Haul once before this, at a different location, and didn’t have any problems. I would say to use a different location if you must use U-Haul but regardless, I will not be using U-Haul anymore.

Went to rent a UHaul here and the guy in the front was very rude. I wont be back ever. They should not allow people to work with the public if they do not know how to talk kindly to others. No one knows what kind of day someone else is having. I left there in tears!!

I have rented vans and put trucks from here no less than 6x. Never a problem. In and out with little or no hitch. Vehicles are always clean and fueled. All but once have been nearly brand new.Once an employee helped direct traffic at an accident sight on Bardstown Rd, his LTD came in handy. Very helpful indeed.

They do a good job installing trailer hitches and wiring. I have had 2 done there.They are a pain to contact... you call and get bounced from automated menu to menu, then hold for 30+ mins (no one ever answered...) how can a small local business take 30 minutes to speak to? Surely it would be worth a couple hundred dollars a day it would cost them to have an additional employee there. Disconcerting for a service business. I decided to find somewhere else

They never even apologized to me. Maybe i need to call and get franchise license pulled? The website would not work to rent a truck and it says closes at 10 pm. I had a 6 30 reservation and 7 30 it was closed already. The pick up 24 7 link would not let me pick up a truck . yet it was right there in front of me and I couldnt take it. Call to customer service couldnt get me a truck there either. Fix the website to work at all, fix correct closing times! Have that location and its website take down all signing for 24 7 pick up and drop off if it doesnt participate in that service. Remove all moving helpers from your websites if they also can not be connected by your service. I walked a half mile to dealership to not leave my car there. Then I had to walk back without a truck! Better yet remove this dealership from your website and have them remove Uhaul from their store! You need a truck, guess what? You are not getting one! No moving help eitherHorrible! Sorry to the girl st customer service I yelled at. I apologize with my whole heart to you!

BE AWARE!! They over charged me $350!! Plus they took an hour to help me with their mistake!! On top of that the horrible customer service from the “general manager” (chase martin) was terrible!! He had a bad attitude about it! TOLD ME I DIDNT DESERVE A DISCOUNT FOR THEIR MISTAKE! And didn’t want to help me!! He made other employees do the work which they couldn’t do it! Don’t waste your time, I ordered truck the system showed for 6 hours then I called them to make it for 24 hours they told me you all set and you good to go for 24 hours then when I went to pick it up on the day that I scheduled they told me the system still showing that your order is for 6 hours time period and since you said that you need the truck for 24 hours so we will not going to give you the truck. I rented a truck and the owner was there to assist. This was the good part of the transaction. Return was a different story. I showed up and walked in to return and there were 3 employees sitting around and no one bothered asking if we needed any help. I waited for an opportunity and finally asked what I needed to do. I was told that they’d give me a receipt after the truck was checked. This took around 20 minutes and eventually my father made a noise of annoyance. After the service we’d received up to this point it was mild. An employee with “Bullshit Walks” tattooed on her arm ( Jasmine?) turned to him and asked in a confrontational tone “Is there a problem, Sir?” He stated he had never waited this long to check out and asked how long it would be. The employee then screamed at him ”It’s raining, give us a second!” This isn’t how you deal with a customer who you’ve basically been ignoring for 20 minutes. It was ridiculous and to have that tattoo exposed while working in customer service is poor management. Pick a different location.

Wonderful customer service. Gentleman who installs trailer hitches was already there past the time he was supposed to get off (working on another customers car) and he stayed to fix the hitch on my truck even though he should have been gone an hour before. Charles L. was so helpful and did everything he could to find me a tow dolly that night, unfortunately there were none available and he asked me to come back the following morning. I was there when they opened and Charles got us all hooked up and ready to go. Best customer service I have ever had. I cant thank everyone at U-Haul on Bardstown Rd. Louisville enough!

This review is late, but here it is regardless. I came to this Uhaul back on October 10th of 2019 when I needed a truck to help my with my sisters move. I was assisted by William Martin. He was very cordial with me - but sadly their credit card machine was malfunctioning and I had no cash on hand. After waiting for quite some time, I decided to go get cash from a local atm and pay that way. When i returned after completing the job, William sympathized with the extra money and time I had spent due to the credit card issue and was kind enough to reduce the total amount that I owed to him. I appreciated that gesture - I hope William gets recognized as going above and beyond to make things right, especially when its not the customers fault for the issue. Im more likely to use U-Haul versus other moving companies as a result of Williams actions - thank you, sir.

Moved from Northwest Indiana to Louisville this weekend and was here to drop off a U-Haul truck this morning. Waited for about 5 minutes at the return location before heading inside to make sure they knew I was there. The only person in the building was the employee standing behind the counter. I said hello and explained the reason I was there. He didnt say anything and then walked into a back room. He came out 10-15 seconds later and returned to the counter, still never acknowledging me. It didnt seem like he wasnt to help me so I decided to do complete the return myself. As I was headed back outside to start the after-hours return process I heard another man come in and walk up to the counter and start talking. The door shut behind me before I was able to hear if the employee responded to him.The after-hours return process took about 5 minutes and as I was headed to the key drop off box, the employee was on his way out toward the truck. I told him that I had just finished the return process and just needed to drop off the key. The only reason I know he wasnt both blind and deaf was because he stuck his hand out for the key as he walked past. Again, not one word and he barely slowed down as he passed me.I heard him open the back of the truck as I walked away from this place for the first and last time.

The customer service here is an absolute joke. Not only did we get the run around trying to get a trailer, we booked a reservation only to have to go to a different store because our trailer was given to someone else. And then we get to the store and the person in charge has offensive tattoos all up and down her arms. So we get the trailer. Pack our stuff and come to drop it off. The return lane is completely backed up so, we pulled into a spot and drop the trailer. We get immediately greeted with an attitude. And then, the person in charge decides to come out and pick up the trailer and put it back on our hitch saying theyre too busy for us to leave it there. Is this seriously how you run a business? This is seriously how you deal with issues and customers? By escalating the situation further with an attitude? I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER rent from UHAUL again. That was the biggest joke Ive ever seen.

Just disappointed in the big UHAUL name.my mother rented uhaul from SC to KY . They lied/ mislead us on the first offer. They lured my mother in and then all this. Had to have the wiring fixed on the towing package of a used Bronco I purchased. Since I had these guys install a new hitch on a pick-up truck I had owned, I returned. Things did not go as initially planned and the installation tech went above and beyond to troubleshoot the issue with my truck, resolved the issue and my towing problems were solved. Spent a good deal of time on a very hot day to finish an installation and the pricing was very reasonable.I will go back to this location and send my friends there for their rentals and towing hitch installations.

We’re a family of 5. We recently sold our house and are building a new one. My wife and I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at uhauls around Louisville KY. We’ve spent most of our time in the uhaul location at 4128 Bardstown Road in Louisville KY. All the employees have been awesome.I unfortunately encountered a problem at this location with an employee I hadn’t yet interacted with. After moving over the last month we decided to take back our unused boxes.Jon started my return, I had a file folder with all the receipts Ive used. I thought this was going to be smooth in and out, like most returns at most retail stores. He had to call his boss 2 or 3 times while I sat there. Customers directly next to me were coming and going. Jon has no regard for mine or my wife’s time. “I get paid by the hour” “I’m here till close” “ I’m in no rush” are a few of the comments he made. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The one comment that got me after being there nearly an hour was him calling his computer “gay” I’m not sure why Jon thought it would be ok to use such language around any customers.I spoke with the store manager Chase. I can not understand why any business would allow this to occur in front of good paying customers.We still haven’t got our unused items returned. Chase has instructed us to return the next business day.I will follow up with the end result. Thanks for reading.

I had a light-duty hitch installed at this location - they did a great job - and the price was great - only about $25 to install it - total was about $175.took a few days to get it in and then a few more days to work it in to the install schedule - but i only had to wait 30 minutes for the whole thing to be installed. disclaimer - no electrical - hitch only. im just using the hitch for a bike rack.

Went to help my cousin move. After he spoke on the phone for almost an hour to arrange getting his u box delivered to this location and getting a truck to haul it, we showed up only to find an office full of employees without a clue what we were talking about. I rent a cargo van from them at least once a month for work. The owner is always there checking people in at 7am. They are fast and friendly, much more so than the other 3 or so uhaul places Ive used in town. So much so that we go out of our way to use them rather than the one right next door to our office.

Stopped in to get a propane refill. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Additionally, I I was in a big hurry and had a lot on my mind and did something really stupid. One of the staff members went out of his way to help me out with what could have been a costly and humiliating mistake.

Terrible customer service. Double charged me, and when I contacted customer service. I received no help to return my money, just easily dismissed. I was a first time customer, but I know I will never use uhaul ever again.

Customer Service at this location is absolutely atrocious. When speaking with a representative over the phone this morning she would not connect me with a Manager or tell me her name. I had questions pertaining to my bill. Those questions were not answered. She was rude, keep saying smart comments and then hung up on me. The entire time I said yes mama and no mama trying to speak with someone else. I will be moving my items out the storage unit asap.

If you’re looking to waste your time and money then look no further, you’ve found the jackpot. Let me tell you about my experience --9pm “after hours pickup” scheduled online.-Recieved confirmation email-recieved confirmation phone call from A REAL EMPLPYEE OF THIS STORE-arrive at 9 pm- U-Haul app glitches are troublesome, but i work through them.-get to the end of the process, the employee never entered my reservation into the system.-call the help number.-manager sends employee to the store (it is now 9:45) ETA is 10pm-10:20 - employee arrives. Still forces me to go through the app even though he could have handed me the keys. Says everything is set and takes off.-go through the app process again, payments approved. Trying to get my key.-lock box code is incorrect.-help hotline did not answer after 15 minutes.-refund button had an “error”- 11pm. Now sitting with no truck, and no money to get a truck from people who don’t wanna take their turn on my rear end.If there was a lower rating than 1 Star I wouldn’t skip a beat selecting it.

The only reason I gave a 3 star is because of 2 guys that were AMAZING but the Assistant Manager Jasmine is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. She hates her job and it shows. They guarantee there equipment when reserved but thats a lie.

Honestly, my 1st impression was absolutely terrible! The truck they gave us was the wrong size (reserved and rented a 15-ft flat bottom and top, got a 15-ft top, but 12-ft bottom with attic on top), but it needed to be junked! The transmission slipped every time I went to brake, had a hole in the top, had to consistently jump truck after loading/unloading, and even had a blowout). Concerning the hole on the top of the truck, although the paperwork CLAIMED we were made aware and accepted possible risk of damage, we didnt know about the hole until we unloaded our beds and realized they were ruined by water (it was raining that day). We were also told upon renting that NO money would be held and we would only be charged upon returning and paying for truck, but yet our account was overdrawn due to them holding the original rental amount. We spent hours on hold with their customer service (something U-haul cant really control so no blame on them for that), just for the call center reps to not note a damn thing on our accoubt for the 3 calls we had to make in 1 day! We were absolutely furious by the time my wife and I finally were able to get a hold of the store managers. Jeremy Thomas and Charli (Assistant Store Manager- forgot his last name) completely changed our views on U-haul and are SO grateful for their willingness to do us right and try to make this situation end with a positive result. And they did! Although our move was such a struggle and ended up keeping the truck for 4 days, they didnt charge us a dime for the rental! The 3rd night when we were communicating with Charli on his personal cell, WAY after hours, he even offered to come out on his personal time to help us finish moving items in our storage unit since the complications with the truck set us back so late in the day. Jeremy and Charli were life savers, and most definitely revered our viewd on U-Haul. Being a previous Storage Property Manager, I realized that sometimes things happen, but you do what you realistically can to try to make the customer happy, especially when the customer is frustrated due to our company! And they filled those shoes! We will always suggest people go to U-haul on Bardstown Road, as long as Jermey and/or Charli are there to take care of you! Thanks again guys! Hopefully when we come to see you guys in a couple weeks to retrieve our items in storage, well be seeing you guys very soon!

Renting the truck and getting the storage unit here went well. However, paying for the 2nd month of the storage unit did not. Our autopay didnt go through and we got notice of a late fee. They did agreed to waive the late fee but then we found we were being charged for another fee we didnt agree to. It was very difficult for them to charge me for the correct amount. It took several phone calls over two days and Im still not confident that everything has been corrected on the billing.

To whom it may concernThe level of service I received for paying $400 dollars was way under par. For starters I was told that there was only a 1/4 of a tank of gas in truck. Now I do realize that the gas marked is based on previous customer but when driving three hours with a full auto transport it is very difficult to stop at any type of gas in town without complications of maneuvering truck and trailer. That may be something to be considered for your future renters. Also truck was a mess with crumbs and debris inside so called cockpit. We had no type of walk around for previous damage. Lastly when truck was pulled around I asked for a refreshing course on how to hook up and unhook trailer. I was first told to just leave car at lot and come back after loading. I lived 20 min away from the lot and didnt want to come back. I told front desk clerk this who didnt communicate this with employee who pulled truck around. At this point 2nd employee seem to become agiated when I asked. He pretty much said what do you want and then talked to me like a child. I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing. He said he didnt know I were taking car, if he didnt know this then why was trailer hooked up in the first place. After running around for 30 min trying to find someone else to help load my car I still didnt know how to take off trailer. At this point I just wanted to leave because whole process took over an hr and 15 min. The store wasnt busy just seemed chaotic and unorganized. This made move way more difficult and threw off the timing I had planned out. So when moving I had to leave car and trailer hooked up because I didnt want to cause damage. Now on returning trailer to Nashville I pulled up a little before close with no one there so I had to you tube how to unhook trailer because I am moving into a condo with little parking and didnt want to maunever trailer and truck and wasnt unloading truck till next day. So I took trailer off by myself having my girlfriend watch me unload car. When dropping off truck the next day I was asked about my experience and when I told them they were less then concerned. For paying this much I would expect a little better service. At this point my company uses you for relocation services. We may not be a big company but I am highly considering cancelling our account and switching to another truck rental company. Im not sure what can be done on your end but I felt need to express this as to if one of my locations lack the level of service I like to know so problems can be fixed thank you for your time.
