This storage has amazing workers. They listen and understand the space that is need for your storing items. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ive been here for over a year and this is the 3rd time Ive tried to access my unit and have not been able to because they changed the hours of the gate without notifying me. They have my email and it should be posted on the gate, and it is not. Im VERY upset that I cannot access my things when I need to. The last email I received said that they close at 8pm. Well, I was here before 8 and its already locked. Ive already given my notice, but had I not already, I would be now. Because now I have to go to the store to purchase what I already have in my unit. Upset doesnt even BEGIN to cover my level of irritation right now.

Just so you know cause i did not ... you will be charged double late fees (maybe even triple!, but thank goodness I was never that late!!) PANDEMIC OR NOT...if you loose the key to lock you bought from them they charge $30.00 to cut it off for you because if you do it yourself they will call police and file a theft report on you is what i was told. Icing on the cake was when i called to schedule a time for maintenance man to cut my lock I left a message and then had to call again the next day only to be told “Ma’am I was here all day and heard all the messages... you never called”... by the office girl working at the time. So now im crazy ...thanks U-Store-It ... for nothing!!... I will never recommend or store my stuff with you again.

Customer service is ok. Im giving a rating of 3 stars because at one time i did not have a vehicle but needed something out of my unit so i rode the bus and walked onto the property. On my way out i was confronted at the gate and was told that i could not come on the property unless i was in a vehicle. Believe me if i had that option i wouldnt have been walking. Also because hours show the gates lock at 10 i was there at about 10 till and t.he gate was already locked.Going down to two stars xFor a few reasons. I visited my unit today and had the hardest time getting the latch open upon inspection of the door i saw that someone had tried prying the door open from up top and from the latch. So i finally got in and started to move stuff around when i found the shoes i was looking for i found rodent feces in a couple of the shoes. When i went to the office to report the damage to the door i was a lil offended by the response i received. The employee replied to me with a lil sarcasm asking if it was only my unit i said yes i looked at the others and theyre fine. Then she proceeded to ask well have you given your code to anyone? Or have you brought any one with you? I took it as if she was trying to put the blame on me. If i could id move else where, im not very happy there.

The manager Becky is very polite and respectful & helpful! So far this location is more or less the best price Ive found so far, I recommend this location for your storage purposes. The only issue is that some of the other employees that work there at that location take lunches earlier than theyre supposed to and longer than theyre supposed to be.

I live very close by this storage facility, and my father rented a unit there for many years. Therefore I didnt even hesitate when an emergency arose and I needed a unit immediately. Currently it is about 90 degrees outside which is very hot for this time of year. Unfortunately all of Las Cruces is under strict rules due to social distancing because of Covid-19, so I put my mask on and attempted to enter the office. Immediately the young lady jumped up and stated you cannot be in here, there is only one person allowed at a time, you need to wait outside! I understand the policy as most places are under strict rules at this time. However, I feel appropriate customer service would have been to ask what I was there to do, which could have, at the very LEAST jump started the paperwork while I stood in the scorching sun!!! Instead she jumped me instantly, rudely, and made me feel uncomfortable. I even stayed waiting outside roasting for 15-20 mins before I googled another location to rent units from. Bottom line, everyone is uncomfortable to be in close proximity to anyone these days but to snap at a customer and demand they get out is uncalled for. All she had to do was ask me what I was there to do, explained that I needed to wait outside, maybe show a little empathy, and hand me the proper paperwork, so I could have began filling it out in my vehicle. Two thumbs down to the little brunette at the Madrid location.

Rebeca was so nice and helpful during a very stressful situation. She made the entire experience a very positive one. I will certainly tell my friends that U Store It on Madrid is the best. Thank you so much, Rebeca

I recommend not renting a unit from this location or any in Las Cruces for that matter. I had rented a unit from them but after purchase the door would get stuck and the units were full of dust not taken care of after asking for a refund it took over 2 weeks to get over the mail and once I got it, it was half of what I paid. So I called to find out. They let me know that administration fee and insurance are non refundable. Rudy the district manager of the locations has told his employees in including Becky the mgr that assured me that they do not refunds on that, and it was said by corporate. After calling the insurance company I found out that is not the case and let them know to refond it. Rudy and company are eather trying to be shady or need better training. Now I am out the money for the administration fee for a unit I did not even pay for. So Red flags all around!

We had a good experience. The young man that helped us to get a great deal on the unit by asking us if we were students, and letting us know about the renters insurance covering us and all in all it was a good experience very helpful

I had a very bad experience with u-store-it in las cruces nm. The only reason being that the manager (rebecca) was very nice in the beginning when i originally moved in but than after that became very snobbish and ridiculously knit picking and tyrannizing me.From my observation she seems to only do this to a couple people that Ive seen but than smiles at others so i dont know if shes having a bad day when i go but i feel i have been bullied and its not right nor is it anyway fair especially being that he rent for these units are so high compared to most other places in las cruces. The young man that works there though is very nice and respectful, helpful, knowledgeable, and everytime i have been there he is always staying busy but always asks if i need help with anything if i do just let him know he should definately be manager. Well i hope this review helps someone or many people thanks
