My daughter bought a car 3 weeks ago. Had to go to Texas with her 4 young children, got down there the engine and timing chain went out. She called City Auto Sales. The guy Brett said he couldn’t help her and hung up. The place needs to be taken to court and sued. That place needs to be shut down. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

Stopped in after viewing vehicles on line. Online description was not accurate. Said vehicle was rust free. Giant fist size hole in rocker. Fenders had rust. Thanks for wasting my time.

I Believe this place buys vehicles from Auctions and dont bother inspecting before they are placed on their lot!Service Mechanic is Rood and disrespectful.Cares more about a dinner date, then making sure the vehicles are safe. Not the best bed side manner......if you know what I mean. Thumbs down for me!!River View Auto, in Stoddard, gets the #1 vote.

My over all was a little disappointing. When I got there I wasnt hounded by any salesman which was nice so I was able to look at the car before going in period it was a locks I was able to see the inside as well. The dealer Never gave me his name but was really nice told me what had been fixed on the car put the plate on and let me go. However unfortunately the vehicle has electrical issues the radio was cutting in-and-out and then wouldnt come back on the driver window wouldnt go down at kept stopping midway . Its made me leery that there were other electrical issues going on with the car and I never even took it out of park. There was a huge crack across the windshield there was cigaret ashes in the center council the car had a funky smell and had animal hair all over the dark interior. And did not look like the dealer clean the car out at all prior to putting up for sale. When I went back in to tell the dealer about that he changed his personality very quickly and when even make eye contact and kept telling me that I can still test drive it that the radio is just optional. He also told me the windshield would get fixed when somebody buys it and that he had a few other people wanting to buy it but he wanted to wait until they purchased it before Its put the windshield in that he claims hes already got setting aside for it. I offered my name and number and he wrote it down but didnt seem too thrilled and continued to act annoyed and not make eye contact. Even if these items got fixed I wouldnt be comfortable making a sale with this business because of how he started to act after I noticed some pretty serious concerns. Plus its a very very tiny parking lot in very hard to maneuver through.

Great selection of quality used vehicles. Matt was a pleasure to work with, no pressure to buy and got exactly what I wanted. Will be going back for my next car. City auto has definitely improved their customer service.

Bought a 2009 Chevy Traverse in June 2016. It comes fully equipped. Little scratches and dents, so I thought, the price theyre asking was a bit high. Billy was willing to bring it down by some $800. Thought it was a good deal. There was no paper work, no nothing. I didnt test drive it because it was clean and all. That shouldve been a red flag. Im too trustworthy of these folks. He said, their mechanic checked the car, no leakage, no broken pipes, etc. Boy was I wrong. We hardly drove the car since our small car is a gas saver and we only drive the SUV when traveling or carrying big heavy stuff. We only drove it three times to grocery shop and back home. That was when I noticed the back wasnt cold. My son was complaining hes hot. I contacted the City Auto Sales about it and took it to them end of June but they couldnt do anything because their freon hose was too short. I have to bring it back in early July for them to take it to Holmen to the guy they use to add freon. They had the car for over a week, and didnt call me or return my car until I called. Now the steering wheel is causing issues. Once in a while it gets really hard to turn. Checked the power steering fluid, and its full. Because they were sketchy and shady, I took the car in for a full maintenance, to find out, our brakes were so worn out, the mechanic told me we could get into an accident any minute any time. The front brakes were only 4-5 millimeters thick and the rear brakes were 2-3 millimeters. Thats hundreds of dollars we couldve saved, and our lives, including my 3 and 7 year old children, put into danger. I stopped driving the car and got the brakes fixed within a day or two after. I havent fixed and check the steering wheel and Im out of money at the moment for that.We only got one key fob at time of purchase. The key fob is broken. It only work for 3 weeks into having the car then it stopped. I put in a new battery and it worked for a week then it totally died on us. I order a new fob, but were still down to one fob only. Thats $100 out of my pocket. The captain seat buckle cap cracked open. This was not from us. When we took it in for freon, I do not know what they did, but someone cracked the cap where the buckle clip in. I did not want to deal with them anymore so I used clear packaging tape to tape it in place. Ghetto, I know. Now, were stuck with a car that is nothing but trouble and hundreds of dollars down the drain. Again, these shouldve been fixed prior to us purchasing the car... or at least disclose this info to us.Never will I ever buy a car from small dealership anymore.

These people are absolute crooks. After getting a loan for a car they sold it right before i got there. I decided to go back and purchase a different car a month after. Was promised that the issues were fixed that showed up when i drove it. Turns out they just cleared the codes because the day after the check engine light comes on. I called in right away to be toyed with for an entire month. Now i am being told i have to pay half of the cost of repairs even though i was completely lied to. Never buy a car here. Not one of the people there care about their service.

Had the car less then a month and the engine went. Come to find out the dealership swapped the original engine with one that had high miles. The engine was missing bolts to hold it into place and the ones that were on were not on tight. When we contacted Paul he was extremely rude, and unprofessional. And the car had hail damage that he failed to report on the car details. They are crooked and sell junk cars

If I could give this place a zero I would! So I bought my car September 28 from City Auto Sales and by the 29 when I would turn Id hear a clunk like sound. Now I bought my car with a 1000 mile warrenty or 1 year which ever one comes first. So i then checked over my warrenty and lemon paper work and steering and suspension is something that is covered under the lemon law so they sold the car illegally. So being I had the warrenty I called it in and they agreed to look at it there mechanic said I cant hear anything therefore, we cant fix it and took it to another car shop whose mechanic heard it immediately and told them and me it needed fully loaded struts City not knowing I went to this other shop and talked with the mechanic told me it just needed a strut that wasnt fully loaded and told me to come pick up the car (mind you if I did that I would have drove through the warranty) so it stayed at the shop. Then my car sat at that shop for a week and City called us back saying oh we picked up the car so we can fix it my question is why couldnt you have just left it for the shop to fix they were more than happy to do it. My dad then called them to get the status of the car and said theyd call back in 10 minutes and they never called back my dad then called and told them my car has been worked on for 2 weeks. They said it should be done by Saturday and if not I will be driving it by Monday. I then showed up at the ahop and they could not give me a definite answer where my car was because they took it to a diffetent shop a week after the deadline on Saturday I got my car back. Now they are trying to charge me mechanics fee and 50% of parts fee. This place is a complete rip off and Id advise everyone to stay clear away from this place!!!!!

Bought a 2009 crownvic from city auto sales, 1st time ever getting a loan for a car and was happy. Car had some issue before buying and was told that they would be fixed and 2 months went by and not fixed a thing yet. Then find out after I bought it and got it up to speed acted up so I took it in and need a coil and plugs, they covered half the bill on it. 2 weeks owning it I called owner Brent and told him it had transmission problems which took forever to get him to answer after several cars and then the car started to act fine. 2 months of owning it my transmission went out and they wont cover the cost or repair or help and will cost me additional $1,500 I dont have. When trans started having problems 3 weeks ago I called many times and never heard till few days ago. Ill never buy from them agian and would not suggest it. If youre dont have much money like me and trying to make it by in life and build credit this could hurt you if your car does the same and cant afford the payment plus fixing the junk.

If you buy from them, expect to experience a vehicle malfunction. If you care about yourself even a little, take the vehicle to the mechanic before you buy it, theyll convince you to look elsewhere.
