He was enormously helpful, explained everything, fully disclosed up front the add-on fees and gave me the space to make a decision without high-pressure sales tactics. I received a fair price for my trade-in and ultimately got the car I wanted,. The upselling at time of signing paperwork I did not appreciate, but thats pretty standard. I had questions/concerns after driving the car off the lot and Rafael worked diligently to make sure my questions were answered and issues resolved to my satisfaction. Overall, it was a very good car buying experience.

We had an incredible experience here today. While driving down the highway on vacation our plastic skid plate broke. It made the care undriveable over 15MPH. I was very disappointed in this dealership. I have been using their service department for years. When I approached the salesman about upgrading to a newer vehicle, I told him I will buy this Jetta from you today at asking price as long as y’all are straight forward with me about pricing. I signed the negotiation agreement and 10 minutes later they came back into the room claiming they advertise all of their vehicles 3-4 thousand under value just to attract customers and that’s not the true price. They claimed the only way they could make the deal go through is for me to buy a $4200 upgrade package (gps, paint&interior protection, nitrogen filled tires) or a $4000 warranty. I always respected their service department but I will have to now break all ties with this dealership, I can not honestly do business with a company that conducts business malpractice and has no respect for their customers.

Also notice how all of those reviewers only have 2 or 3 other reviews. Seems very fishy - like someone is planting fake reviews. Because when you go to Yelp, people call this guy out by name as be the shadiest of all the shady people that work there.Here is my review: The worst. Would give them zero stars, if I could. Called about a used Beetle. Spoke to Daniel, who at first seemed helpful. The next day, ended up speaking to Silvestre Alvarez. Dude was shady af. Suddenly, according Silvestre, the car was $4k more expensive because of dealer add-ons. Like nitrogen in the tires (Ive raced cars - that doesnt make a bit of difference and certainly not worth $300!!) Lol. Is there no bottom to how low youll go?The issue has nothing to do with a discount. Your dealership didnt offer one. The car in question was advertised on the website at $25,998. But, when I inquired about buying it, the price went up by more than $4,100 due to dealer add-ons (so, $30,100). And, what justified this huge market up?Silvestre stated it was for nitrogen in the tires (lol, first this costs less than $0.25; and second is only used for racing purposes as nitrogen in racing tires mitigates the some of pressure change due to the high temperatures that racing tires achieve. This is not useful in a passenger car); door protectors (available at Autozone from $3.99 - $12.99 depending on your specific needs); wheel damage warranty (in nearly 40 years of driving, Ive never damaged a wheel. A new wheel would cost about $300); and upholstery protectant ($10 at Walmart). $4,100 for arguably less than $350 worth of value. Just admit that you are robbing your customers. Better yet, stop robbing your customers.The car, as advertised, was priced at $25,998. That was $1,900 above Kelley Blue Books used car value for that specific vehicle and mileage, and I provided comps of that same model (in different colors) in the $23k-$24k range. I did ask the dealer to discount the price to $24,500 which was reasonable and still on the high side of kbbs value. I was willing to pay the advertised price, but you would not accept that. You insisted that to acquire the vehicle I would need to also pay the $4,100 mark up for your dealers BS add-ons.Bottom line, stay away from this shady dealership. They are the worst of the worst. They are looking to screw uninformed buyers. They will point you to their Google reviews, as that is apparently where they direct their friends to post. Go see their reviews on Yelp. Read the many, many one-star reviews. Many people have had a similar experience to mine.The gaslighting of their reply tells you all you need to know about the customer culture at this dealership. I just bought a VW Tiguan SUV from Coachella Valley Volkswagen. Eliana Castillo was my sales rep. Eliana, gets FIVE STARS. She was very pleasant and competent, even when I was not.I compared all the mid size SUVs and the VW had extra jump in acceleration and had a very comfortable layout. My wife is near 5 feet tall, and the view she had from the six way manual passenger seat was the closer.

WASTE OF TIME!! Dishonest!!! I asked 3 times for breakdown of financing. I couldnt see what the fees were they wanted us to just sign. Price of car online was 9.998 online and from salesmans mouth. BUT they tack on 1300 for GPS, 990 for Tire nitro something, 1500 for windshield something and another fee for whatever else they are trying to hide. Then they say you have no choice for these 4,000 cost!! NO CHOICE, BECAUSE, IT COMES WITH IT. So car starting price is NOT 9,998 it is 14,000 PLUS!! THEN max, says we are aggressive in selling! IT IS DISHONEST SIR, not aggressive. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT! These people lying and hiding the contract info from a customer is RIDICULOUS! You ruined my daughter in laws first car buying experience, shame on you for being SHADY!!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!

I checked the listing called the dealer was told by salesman Steven Montoya about the full price out the door as well as making sure the vehicle was in inventory. I drove almost 2 hours to go purchase the car because I am 79 miles from the dealership. I arrive to the dealership and was greeted by Steven Montoya and was given a test drive. The vehicle and test drive would have been great however the Rouge reeked of musty socks and cigarettes. Coming back from the test drive Steven Montoya didn’t waste any time being a typical dishonest sleazy salesman marking up the price of the vehicle by over $4000 JUST for Nitrous filled tires and door guards.Buyer beware if any salesman starts telling you about nitrous filled tires just know that it is simply the same Air that all standard tires are filled with. This $4000 mark up on a price that should’ve been full disclosure from the get go wasn’t even negotiable. I walked out the dealer within minutes of arriving. I have NEVER had my time Wasted to this extent and would hate for anyone to experience the same turbulent car buying experience that I did. This dealer is unscrupulous and uses the bait and switch technique, using a false advertised price and start throwing the “full disclosure“ switch and tack on a copious amount of bogus aftermarket charges that are not listed on the Vehicles pageI cannot stress this enough,AVOID COACHELLA VALLEY VOLKSWAGEN AND STEVEN MONTOYA LIKE THE PLAGUE !

Could be a good place. However, the posted price on Autotrader was about $2500 less than the true asking price due to “dealer installed options.” This is listed in the fine print but not enumerated and to find out what they are you have to call, email or text. This is not a rare dealer practice. In shopping for a lightly used SUV, I’ve now experienced it at 3 dealers. Another reason people abhor car shopping.

Although I didn’t buy the VW Atlas, sold prior to my schedule allowing. Mr. Alvarez worked very hard to answer all of my questions, went out of his way to take videos, photos, and was a professional all the way through. I would certainly ask for Sylvester Alvarez when buying a car from VW.

She relayed all my questions and requests towards a sales agent named Sylvester.Sylvester immediately contacted me via text and email and initiated a solid intitial report with me.Sylvester actually impressed me. He was willing to have my Golf delivered to me a Friday night after closing hours... And mind people that I live 90 miles away from the Dealership in Imperial Valley!Coachella Valley Volkswagen even offered to have an Uber pick me up from my home in Brawley and take me to the Dealership to sign my paperwork and drive away in my new Golf.Well my wife decided she wanted to take a mini road trip and we drive to the dealership.I was then even further impressed upon arrival. Sylvester was there waiting with my vehicle detailed, open, and ready for the test drive.I was also extremely impressed with John Escano! Now this is a finance manager withy of his position! Good experience had a battery put in. Was in and out with no problems. Very clean and staff was informative and pleasant.

Called at least five times and went by to try and set up an appointment to get my oil changed. Why have a phone answering system if you have no intention of ever returning a phone call. And why are you not open for service when I went in on a Saturday? Seriously? Who runs this place?
