They said the baby clothes I was trying to sell were damp but they were all dry. I would have been happy with just $ 5 but they took nothing. Store is bare, I wonder if they are about to be closed permanently. The manager was rude and not able to explain how dry clothes were damp. Horrible Service SMH

I like this store, but it would be great if my items were put back into my tote neatly folded just like the emoloyees request them to be brought in when selling them to the store... I always have to sort and re fold everything!!!

I recently bought a swing from them, got it home cleaned it up put batteries in it did not work. Called them to see if there was anything that they could do for me because I still have my receipt with the item listed on it they told me I would have to sell the broken swing back to them which would probably not be worth money and that there was pretty much nothing they they could do without the sticker. Huge inconvenience. Aren’t you suppose to test the items you buy first !!!!!

Don’t loose your time, this location is the worst !!!I think it is the fault of the manager who if she is in the bad mood, she takes only that she likes from your things.Today I brought toys too beautiful, too new, too clean and too much for such a place and they treated me badly, without even taking everything, I dont even know why?!?!I give you some advice, if you really dont have someone to give your stuff, better throw it away than bring it to people who make money with your things.

I love this location! I accidentally sold my sons favorite jacket. In my defense he flung it off in the car and it landed in my sell basket. The ladies at this location dug through the bins the next morning to help find it. Delaney and few others I cant remember were super helpful. When I went back I expected to pay what they would have made from a normal customer. Instead they sold it back to me for what the bought it for. That was super nice. Most places wouldnt do that. On top of that I always find items to buy when Im there.

Just had the most horrible customer service. Came to drop off buys with my friend which had been folded and sorted by size for everyones convenience. Was ignored at the check in for a good 10 minutes while multiple employees were available and just talking to each other. Once finally acknowledged, the employee very rudely picked through some toys we had brought in that were in good condition. The good condition didnt stop her from looking at everything with a look of disgust and saying things like: oh we wont be taking that or that or that. Totally understandable that some things wont be something they can sell, however she lacks serious people skills. Once she has decided what they can look at, she tells us we can wait in store and we would be next. Great. Fast forward to 45 minutes later. We walk back to the front and find that the large tote of clothing had barely been touched and was unattended. 15 minutes goes by and no employee has touched the tote.. and yet several were hanging out to the side talking and laughing with either more employees or friends that dropped in. Finally someone goes over to the tote and proceeds to unfold, glance at, and toss all the items into a massive pile that is then shoved (and I mean shoved) back into the tote. The employee that checked us in then checked us out and gave back 95% of what was brought in. Fine. No biggie. Except now nothing is folded, outfits are split up, and they are no longer sorted by size. There goes all that work. The employees overall were rude and quick to dismiss customers. Very unsatisfied.

They always have great inventory. The clothes are wonderful and organized by size and color. I love when they have sales because I get these great clothes for even lower price. I’ve been going to this store for about 15 years and they have always had nice friendly staff.

I love shopping here. The store is well organized, mostly clean, and customer service is always nice and friendly. Ive found some very cute things for a very reasonable price and sometimes Ive even found new items there with original tags on but at a price of used item!

Glad you can drop off your buy and not have to come back in - they will give you store credit. I would love to see them donate the remaining items they aren’t able to buy instead of throwing them away. I hope they consider this option!!

I had a great experience my first time there the other day. They was pretty fair with the sell I made vs the other one I use to go to. I browsed around the store, its clean and well organized. I didnt make a big purchase but I think this is gonna be my new shopping spot they have some nice reasonable priced clothing.

Ive been to a couple of once upon a child locations. I had the worst experience with this one. I dropped off stuff. I asked how long it would be and the staff member told me not long. So i said I was going to grab lunch in the same strip mall and be back. Get back and they told me i was checked as a leave so it wasnt going to get done. I had picked out a couple of items they offered to hold for me 5:30 rolls around (was told to i had to pick my stuff up by 6). I get my 1 year old packed up and halfway down the street to be told it wouldnt be ready til next day. Finally got a text at 4:30 it was ready. Then i get there and they didnt hold my items and of course couldnt find them on the rack. Never going back to this location again. Absolutely ridiculous.

Loved it!I took a whole ikea bag in there and they quickly sifted through it! They were kind about what they didn’t want and even helped me save $5 ! I just really enjoyed them and the store prices are great. Better than other once upon a child’s that I’ve been too (15 different ones) ! I will drive from Carmel just to go to this store! Loved it!

They priced the items we sold fairly, no complaints there, the manager on duty told us buy one get one free and the second manager on duty got upset with us and had a very bad attitude. Then to make up the difference she increased the price of a coat we bought by $8.00 and living 2 hours away we didnt notice right away. The store was clean and organized and in general very polite, minus the one manager.

I will never sell anything else there. Its not worth it at all.

This store has been a blessing to me for 8 years. They have great deals and they are a wonderful staff. I always find something nice in here.

Store is clean and well organized. I usually have 2 tubs of clothing ranging in sizes from infant- 4T, boys and girls. I average $25 per visit. If I have toys and books included in my bins, I come closer to $50. The clothing they take really depends on what sizes they need in boys and girls. Clothes need to be clean and ready to sell.

Wonderful selection and the racks are not over crowded like the one in Carmel/Westfield. Worth the little extra drive for great clothes, deals and service. I have officially switched to this store as a preferred stop!

Rude manager/owner. By far the worst OUAC in Indy. They say they are just picky for buys, but shopping you will find clothes with stains, holes, and extremely worn.

I just took ten yes 10 sets of legoL to this place they dumped all of them into one bag mixing them all together and then offered me $5.00 for them all when I said why did you mix them all together the girl said (like thats how we do it) I then said you just mixed all my sets together and she said oh well. So now i have to go through over 1,000 pieces and redo the sets. I wish i never went there

The employees were very helpful and pleasant! I needed help with a jogging stroller and they got it down and showed me how to use it.

Today I decided to take some clothes that I have of my daughters.The clothes are in very good condition because I planned to have another little one. That time hasnt come yet and why not give to someone. I have sold items at Once Upon a Child before and it was not a good experience which is why its been 5 years since I have done so. Today I decided to give them another chance and once again they handed me horrible service. I will not sell nor shop there again. It takes a lot for me to write a review.

This store has the worst customer experience . I left a cradle worth $120 and plush blanket worth $20 along with some clothes on Saturday . They told me to leave at store and ll text me in sometime about the buying..I never got the text and come Monday I called them about it . They inform me they threw all of my stuff !! Who does that without informing !? It is apalling ...

Omg! What an amazing group of ladies! My SO and I went into this location and was greeted with a smile! Ive been to other locations and have been disappointed. Im a first time mommy of Quadruplets and the ladies were so engaged in helping us find what we needed!

I will not be back. I took in several PRISTINE ride on toys...Radio flyer, Wheelybug and Pintoy (not even available in the US)...that had never been used outside, a Chicco umbrella stroller and a wooden activity cube that sells on Amazon for over $100. They offered $37 total for everything. Never again. Super long wait while the workers just chit chatted.

Long waits, incredibly poor customer service from the store to management to the owner. Will not be back. Had a valid concern and was forwarded to a supervisor in Ohio who told me that the owner “who pays her paycheck” told her not to return customers phone calls. Blown away by the lack of professionalism.

I love Once upon a child for the great deals but, as far as this location, I’ve never received great customer service. Employees never have a smile on their face and I don’t feel welcomed.

The assistant manager, I think, pink haired lady. Anyways she was very ride and short with me this morning. If thats the way a manager treats guests, I dont even want to know how the other staff handles the guests. Very disappointing!!

I literally just came from there. I have always had pleasant experiences and the black lady manager that took over has always been nice. I go in today and I’m there to drop off some items. This young girl with green hair comes over to assist me but she has a look of inconvenience on her face. I had one tote in my hand and I put it on the counter. The girl asked if that was all i had. I told her I had some more items but I placed my license on the counter and let her know it was there for her to check, as I know they have to do that. I leave out and bring in another tote and a bag. She asked me if that was it. I tell her no I have two more bags in the car. She has this rude bland look and tells me that they’re limit is three bags/totes to be considered an in-store customer waiting on a price. If I bring any more I’ll be considered a customer that left the store. I was shocked by how rude she came off. I told her that I had no plans on staying in store anyway (like she didn’t even ask me before she cut me off to give that disclaimer) so after I get everything in that’s when she wants to tell me that they’re not purchasing fall/winter items so I can take those items out. Now what the heck does it look like that I start going through every bag and tote to take out every single item they may consider fall/winter? She could have just said that and said they’ll pass on them when they get to those items. I told her that when she goes through the clothes she can pass on fall and winter. So once she sees that I’m not about to go through every item to take out what she considers a pass, that’s when she decides to check me in. I told her nevermind I’ll go somewhere else. As I was putting my stuff back in the car this nice employee asked if I was leaving and I told her yes, I’m going to one of the other stores. She politely let me know that the other stores weren’t taking fall winter items either. I told her that I wasn’t going because of that I was leaving because her coworker was rude. She profusely apologized to me. That’s why this gets two stars. The extra star was because of her professionalism. I know you may not like dealing with people and going through clothes all day but there are worse jobs

Love that I can drop items off and get a text when the buy is ready. I go out of my way to buy from and sell to this store. I live in Westfield, and the store near me requires me to wait a long time in the store to sell. My time is worth a lot more than that. And their items are not as quality. I like to buy dress clothes used. Instead of paying $100+ on a one-time outfit for my son, I can spend under $20. This store is the best used children’s goods in the entire northside of the Indy metro area.

The reason I gave them a one star,is because they lied in our face and said our baby stuff smell like smoke.We dont smoke so I knew they lied. Plus on top of it,it doesnt take three people to smell clothes.Why dont you stop lying and plus your store smells of old molding rotting corpse in there fix that place up its a mess.

I did not have a good experience. I know everyone thinks their merchandise is top quality and valuable to them, however out of 8 items I took to Once Upon a Child, 6 were Janie and Jack items with tags still on them, never worn and what I received for them was an insult. I receive more at my garage sale or ebay for my merchandise. Some customer walked away very happy with what I sold! That was my first and last time...Will never go back there!

This is the worst location in Indianapolis. On Wednesdays, they have a sign posted all over the store that says, On Wednesdays get up to $3.50 worth of books free! Child must be present. There is no other information on the sign. I pick out 3 books that equal $3.50 along with $30.00 worth of other clothes and shoes. When checking out, the sales girl says only one book per child. I explain the sign doesnt say that and even has an s after the word book indicating the offer includes more than one book. An older woman, I assume was a manager, came over and asked what the problem was and the sales girl explained I wanted to get $3.50 worth of books for free. *Note she said the exact words written on the sign.* The manager then said the offer is for only one book. I explained the sign was misleading and the wording should be changed. She very rudely said nothing else to me and walked away to fold clothes at the back counter. The staff members I have dealt with at this location are uneducated, rude and not trained to interact with customers. Its always a terrible experience. This is the last time I will shop there. I will go to the 71st/Binford location exclusively now.

Selling things back here is worthless. Theyre arbitrary and dont give any reasons for why perfectly fine things cant be consigned. Often, what Im trying to sell them is nicer than what is actually on their racks for sale and they still wont buy it.

You can have nice clean barely worn expensive name brand stuff that they will not buy. Some stuff is a good deal and some stuff is overpriced. I will not waste my time selling to them but will occasionally buy very good deals.

I love this store! So much selection and not so crammed as the West side store. Customer service is great, I am always greeted by multiple employees when I walk in! I highly recommend this OUAC store over others!

I have always shopped here for my kids. My mom shopped here for me when I was a child too! They have everything and anything you will need for kids of all ages. You can score some of the most exoensive items available here for a fraction of the price. They are picky about what they buy(not an insult or complaint, I love getting like new quality) so if you bring stuff in be prepared to not have everything bought. I always take time to clean any items so they are in best conditon possible. Match all clothing together and dont waste your time bringing in anything stained or outdated. I always have and always will shop here. This location is my favorite!

I was just in there to buy some footie pajamas and a girl with green hair completely ignored me. There were 4 ladies sorting through inventory and none of those ladies acknowledged me. The girl with green hair gave me a dirty look and walked off when she knew I was waiting to purchase items. I hung up the clothes at the checkout and walked out of the store. The store was dirty and very unorganized. Guess I will be going to Walmart where there clothes will be cheaper brand new anyway!

I love this place! The staff is always friendly and so very patient. They are quite busy but my experiences there have always been easy and stress-free.

Honestly i think you can go to Burlington or something like that and find better deals and specially because you are gonna get brand new stuff,their prices are too high for second hand store.

I love the selection of clothing/shoes, especially if they are having a sale! The name brand products are priced a bit high for 2nd hand items though, in my opinion.

I recently started going here and love it, I find so many great clothes and toys for my kids. The workers are great too, they always ask if Im finding everything ok. As for selling your items here dont bother such a waste of time, list them on craigslist you will get way more money.

I like this store, but it isnt the greatest. Usually they have good selection, and they have good sales/promotions. And the employees have almost always been nice and helpful. The issue I have is the inconsistency with pricing, especially with baby/toddler clothes. You can buy a onesie for 1.50 and leggings for 1.50, but an outfit made with a onesie and leggings can cost 5.50-7.50. Or they sell cheap clothes (think Garanimals from Walmart) for only slightly less than what you pay brand new at the store. A lot of toys are over priced too.

Wonderful selection, helpful and engaged staff, the store is a bit cluttered but its definitely worth the visit.

As a seller of new clothing, I wouldnt go here. I came into the store with 5 pairs of brand new High end shoes (Geox, Ecco). and 2 pairs of keen shoes barely used, brand new Lucky Jeans, new Mimi-man and Catimini winter coats plus other new items. They paid me $71.SELL on EBay

This place is horrible ....the staff is extremely rude ...the woman at the check out desk lterally ignored me as if i werent there...then another day my girl went there to pick up her money from a purchase and they kept her money and gave her instore credit and that was not agreed upon....there is another lady in there who is always grumpy and rude and makes racially insulting comments ...this place needs a new staff or should be shut down for racial bias
