It is a good place to take your car to service, the service is friendly and fast. Although they do not speak Spanish, I assure you that they will understand each other, which is a very good point in their favor, the gentleman behind the counter is attentive and helps you with all your questions, the prices are reasonable and the place is very clean and they follow all the health protocols. Mask required. Cash and cards are accepted. Lets support the businesses in our neighborhood. Very satisfied with my 5 star service.

My husband came here for an oil change, and manager John Plesha was professional and courteous. Explained to him what else was going on with our SUV after our service was complete, and instead of suggesting he repair it now, he went the extra mile and mentioned we should check with our dealership first as the car is still under warranty. This will save us a lot of money, and we’re really grateful! Will definitely come back for service with him again.

I had a rusted fastener at the top of one of my rear shocks that another company could not remove. As a result they wanted to replace the entire mounting assembly which of course would have been more money on top of the work I actually needed.I came to this Car-X for a second opinion and, after considerable effort, Joel and Adrian were able to free the stuck fastener and save me the cost of additional parts. I will always trust this shop to do only whats necessary to get me back on the road!

I use to think this place was great, maybe its a new mechanic or the business is hurting..but I brought in my car YESTERDAY for ONLY an oil change and headlight. .while there they informed my mom that Ill need 2 new tires soon.. (not once were my tires low or acting up..never showed any kinda of wear and tear)...well guess who woke up with a flat tire TODAY ..and you cant just change ONE tire..coincidence? HA! I dont think so! Im not stupid... be careful if you decide to come here.

Came to Car-X for a new set of tires. Was met by Patrick who got my car in immediately. The customer service here was great. They have coffee and a tv as well as a bathroom if you have to wait there as I did. They checked my alignment after putting on the tires and found that it was just slightly off but they helped me out and corrected it for free. All around took about an hour and a half to get me in and out which is great for a Saturday especially considering I made my appointment the day before.Highly recommend the guys at Car-X.

Went in at the beginning of month for oil change and to check on some noises that had popped up or become more obvious (purchased used vehicle) and confirmed some of the issues I already knew about and a couple other related issues. Was a pricey fix but Scott worked with me and was able to knock down the price a bit as well as was helpful in signing me up for a credit account through them so I could get the necessary repairs to maintain the safety and life of my vehicle. Was an all day job but he was forward with the amount of time it would take. Came back a few weeks later for another noise and it was a related repair to previous issues and once again worked with me. I was able to pick up and pay for the part myself through his distributor (who gave a nice little discount as well with the mention of his name) and saved me some money that way as well. And even better he was able to do this job same day. Overall very satisfied with the service as he will take you into the shop and show you exactly what is wrong and will work with you to make sure you leave with a reliable vehicle. He puts an emphasis on safety as well as excellent customer service. Thank you once again Scott!

I have been taking my vehicles here for many years. They are always honest with what needs to repaired and honest on the cost as well. Today I swung in because my goats chewed the wiring for my taillights lol. Scott and Ed were on it very quickly despite being short a worker today. They fixed the problem quickly and at a great price. Ed has worked on my previous truck many times and always lets you know what has to be fixed and what can wait. They never try to sell you on stuff that you don’t need which is why I will continue to take all my vehicles to Carx in crystal lake. Job well done thanks guys!

Had friends recommend this place so I went there to put winter tires on my car and get an alignment done. Thought the place was great, liked everyone I interacted with and thought they were very respectful. Didnt try to sell me on anything, and gave me advice about my tires which I didnt know about. Had issues with another tire company, told me they couldn’t fix my issue after the fact that I waiting with three kids in there waiting room for an hour and a half(discount tire) (will never go there again) I went to Car-X in crystal lake and the boys not only took care of me and my tire, they taught me a few things about my truck and had me out of there within 30 minutes. Great friendly service. Just needed a tire patch for a slow leak. Was afraid I was going to get here and they would up sell since all I needed was a $25 patch. Nope! Although, everyone here at this Car-X location have instantly become my go-to group to help me out at an honest price. They’re genuine, reassuring, and can just tell they know what they’re doing, and they enjoy helping people know the most about their cars and what’s being done for them. Called for a quote on two tires. One which had a nail in. Jason was very helpful in letting me know that I might not need a new tire. He offered to look at the tire free of charge and if it were repairable I wouldnt have the need to buy new tires. He also did make me aware of other problems the car had. Overall, I recommend coming here. Very good and fast service.

Had problems with my rear brake lights and left my truck to Scott and he figured out the problem and had it fixed great guy would recommend his services.

Jason was prompt to answer my call. He also ordered my tires I needed and got them there the afternoon on the same day after I had a sidewall leak on a back, right tire. After the tires came in, he got me in right away. He provided an upfront quote for what the total charged would be. When I checked out the quote matched hat he gave me, as there were no other hidden fees and tax was included in the quote. Give these guys a shot, as I think you will be happy for your tire needs.

Jason was very helpful and checked out my exhaust issues right before closing. He showed me the problem and I was able to get photos for a reimbursement claim. He worked with me to get the best options and pricing to fix the catalytic converter and trans mount on my 97 wrangler. My jeep having around 287k miles on it, there are challenges when working on it and Jason was able to help get my Jeep back on the road the next day.

The team fixed it up quick. They were professional and responsive. Even followed up 2 weeks later to make sure everything worked out well. I will definitely use them in the future as needed.

I went to Goodyear right down the street, and the men down there were so just rude and I felt all they really cared about was my money not the actual car. I googled some places and seen this location. With the great stars Jason had, I wanted to make sure we got to speak with him.When I tell you that this guy is freaking knowledgeable, he’s great ! We brought our mini-van in for tires, brakes and an oil change. Mike was 100% honest with me and said you dont need brakes on this vehicle yet. So he hooked me up with a great deal on tires and then I came back with my truck and he gave me a great deal on brakes. All in the same day!! No complaints here. Got a wheel alignment here after I got new tires. They were upfront and honest. They told me about coupons and came down in price when I called with a slightly lower price from a competitor. Along with others, I do not think they would try to get you to do work on the vehicle that is not needed. They said that my brakes checked out fine...unlike Havoline right down the road who said my brakes were shot and needed to be replaced immediately (see my review of Havoline).

Car-X of Crystal Lake had done an excellent job on our oil changes on Christmas Eve a few months ago and had such great customer service we knew it was the best choice to come back! This time they took the time to show us how bad our brakes were and worked with us to get the best deal and beat out budget needs. They even price matched tires we were thinking of getting at a competitor. If you havent met Craig or Scott you gotta give them a try. Trust me, itll be worth it!

I have had great experiences at this CarX location. On two separate occasions, I was helped by Roman and he was awesome. He helped me get some new tires, and helped get me back on the road when I failed my emissions test. I will definitely be continuing to take my vehicle here from now on.

Brought our Jeep in to get a check engine light taken care of so we could get it tested for emissions. Doug diagnosed it and fixed a problem weve been having for quite a while with the transmission, which it turns out was causing the light. Will NOT be back…manager was rude to customers both in store and on the phone. Waited almost 2 hours for an oil change that we had an APPOINTMENT for and was then over-charged. To top it off, the mechanics left grease all over the inside of my car, steering wheel, door, etc. Extremely disappointed. Their promotions arent what they seem, do your research.

This place lies about service they claim your car needs and robs people with bad pricing. They tried to say my car needed new front breaks and roters for $500. Other places charge 300. I went to another place and they would not put breaks on as they said my car doesnt need them.
