Carlos and his team are AMAZING!!! I recently got married, and we are doing our best to pay down debts. We dont have much extra cash and our van that we NEED when transporting the entire family (six of us), couldnt pass emission. We brought it to Carlos over at Amerimex, who diligently analyzed our issue code by code. Even when it didnt pass initially, he made sure to keep working on it. One thing at a time so that he can keep our budget conscious family from breaking the bank and yet still passing our emissions today! I am very happy with the quality of service, the compassion of their team, and their frequent updates on how my vehicle is coming along. Carlos was very honest and upfront from day one. We will happily be coming back to him repeatedly in the future!

These guys are awesome. Ivan and Ariel helped me for a really great price doing exactly what I needed. My muffler was dragging on the road and my brakes were going to the floor. So for a really great price they got them to work again. My vehicle is from 1990 so I was about to get rid of it, for the price, I just did the work. They did great!

Ive been there several times...my Nissan Cube and I are always satisfied. Honest and fair pricing. Ive always saved money going there and have been happy with the results. The only downside...they may take a while longer...but, understandably, its a busy shop so I dont mind leaving it overnight... theyll get to it the next day and will be ready to go.

So, I never leave reviews, but everyone that works there is great. The honesty is why I will always go here. Ivan is great, and the entire staff is good at what they do. Other peoples experiences might not be the best, but Im going from what i know, and have experienced there. Been there 5 times, from front brakes to flex pipe, they know whats up.Me personally, I highly recommend this place to get estimates, or work done.

Finally posting this after being lead on for 3 weeks lol. I got an Oil change done at Amerimex in Crystal Lake earlier this year. 3 weeks ago, my car broke down and was taken to the mechanic only to find out that I had no oil in my engine because the dipstick had been left out. So I made my first of many phone calls to Amerimex and explained what happened. The only person I have ever been in contact with is one of the employees. I have called him at least 5 times a week looking for answers, asking for the owners number, and I got nothing. Also, I called pretty much every single day, multiple times, they just wouldn’t answer. By the way, the employee is great and I believe did everything he could. It was the owner and the supervisor who were making him do the talking and refused to call me back. During the last few phone calls, I felt I was getting somewhere. He said this was a special case, we fix engines, we will most likely fix your engine ourselves. I was fine with that. Finally I called today and told them I need to get my car from the mechanics lot, it’s been weeks and he told me that there was nothing they could do. They ruined my engine and my car is totaled. I owe $4,000 on my car and a new engine with labor is anywhere from $4,000-$7,000. I am also a server who’s just trying to keep a roof over my head during this shut down. I am truly disgusted that Amerimex ruined my car and the owner can’t even make a phone call and forces one of his employees to do it for him. Beware. Accidents happen, this was a really terrible accident, but they could have made it right.

I had an appointment with them on a Saturday and when I showed up they said they couldn’t take my SUV because they were too busy!!!

Im a new car owner and dont know much about cars but theyre really helpful and honest here. The mechanic explains things to me so Im not blindly paying. Their prices are very reasonable and the receptionist is super sweet!! I love coming here and its the only place I trust to get work done on my car.

Amerimex did a great job getting my car back on the road today! I had them replace two tie rod ends, and give me a steering alignment. I am very happy with the service here, and will be back in the future. If you are looking around for a honest repair shop my reccomendatuon would be to call Amerimex first.

Giovanni was very helpful and honest, I had my brakes lock up on me mid drive and came here from another mechanic. Other mechanic tried to overcharge and insisted other things were wrong with my car. Amerimex was much more helpful, staff was nice and helpful. Definitely coming back for oil changes and or other repairs if need be. Great service all around, the time to fix my brakes, back calipers and rotors with brake pads and a brake flush was only a few hours, initially thought it would take much longer. Its hard to find an honest mechanic nowadays but these guys are real stand up guys. You wont find a better price, their garage is small so it might take awhile if they are busy, but its worth it. They dont feed you BS they want you happy which is definitely not a common characteristic of a typical mechanic.

Took my car in for an oil change and to see what the noise was coming from the engine. Told the manager to call me when they knew what the problem was. Three hours later he called to tell me the car was ready. I asked what he did and he said the oil change. What about the noise coming from the engine. He never called me to let me know what the problem was. He said it was leaking coolant on the belt. Ya, is it something you can fix being that you are the mechanic. He had no interest in fixing the problem. Not really sure how you can be a mechanic but have no interest in fixing the customers car. Ill take my business to a real mechanic. Took my car in not expecting them to be able to fix my rusted exhaust that had fallen off, they cut peices off and added on their own which was a big help, they welded it all together nicely in 2 hours for a excellent price, definitely recommended!

Car is now quiet.
