I purchased a Glock .40 cal and found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. After purchasing I was able to test fire my new Glock. Very impressed with shooters and highly recommend this facility!

He made some recommendations and guidance and though I came in expecting to need to spend some money, the advice he gave will have me coming back the next time I’m in need. Great store and range! I was in town on business for a few days and visited the range numerous times. The price for a lane and targets is absolutely unbeatable. The range is well maintained, yardage marked very well, and there are plenty of lanes. Overall, I was really impressed and know exactly where to go any time I am back in Columbus for business.

I went to shooters to get me another gun. An lovely associate named Iris helped me out. Not only was her customer service excellent she was exceptionally knowledgeable in the guns. Hands down the best store in the Columbus GA area. Recently I sold my Sig pistol to them…and guess what ?! They paid me what I asked and he explained to me how the blue label program works for military and law enforcement. Customer service is a 10/10 and knowledgeable about firearms. Definitely will recommend this store to military friends and family.

First off I only gave this store two stars because the range is nice and the staff on that side is also very nice! However the main store is terrible and I went it to get a quote for my firearm and he admitted that he lowballs people for their firearm and then turn around and resell and overprice the firearm. I would HIGHLY advise do not go there not worth the money I would recommend stores like sports outdoor academy does pretty good firearms or other local gun shops besides them!

This store has a better selection than the PX or any other gun store in Columbus. Military friendly and prices are reasonable. They also offer ladies only classes. Thanks JT for helping me picking my first pistol.

Terrible! I purchased a firearm but couldn’t pick it up because I had out of state license. So I get my license and they have to transfer to fire arm to another state. And they lose my weapon. Like how you lose a paid for firearm?? I will never come back here again.

I think i found a new hobby! I love this place and the staff was amazing. Vivian was excellent and very patient. I do have my carry permit and i just wanted 1 hand gun, but walked out with 2. This place had so many different varieties of everything and so clean and organized. I spent 3 hours in there. I was able to test out the hand guns before i purchased them and then i was able to get a membership from my purchases. I don’t know if it was supposed to take pics of the inside due to all the firearms but i did sneak a few. I am pro gun and will be back soon. I highly recommend this place and I’m really amazed with this place.

Not enough staff. I told them I wanted to walk out with my gun ready to go and was told that they would charge when I said I don’t care about money I want it ready I was told I have to do it myself or bring it back. They have gotten to big to help. Would rather go to a smaller store and pay more for better service.Reply to owner who commented: that’s ok I went to Opelika and purchased a Havak, scope, lighter trigger pull for my other gun and received better service. The wait I didn’t mind it was the fact that they acted like they didn’t want to sell me a package and put the gun together. All I wanted to have to do is adjust the sights in. I didn’t care how much I spent to have the service done. I hope everyone who is sick feels better. Again it wasnt the short staff that was the main problem it was the fact that they didn’t want to build the gun. I was told “to do it myself”

Update 02/20/2020:I decided to give them another chance about a year ago, and have made many large purchases over the past year. I have to give them credit, they have VASTLY improved, so I changed my review from 1 star to 5. They have DEFINITELY upgraded in the quality of their staff. They are PROMPT to greet you in a friendly, welcoming way now. They are knowledgeable and courteous. I never thought I’d see this big of an improvement so quickly. They pay attention to these reviews, obviously. The selection of items in stock has gotten even better. Not just guns and ammo, but survival gear, outdoor gear, “prepper” gear, and things for the ladies too. They have a great selection across the board. Prices are semi-competitive and not stupid high anymore. Now I don’t have to drive to Butler to be treated with respect. Kudos to whoever is running the show there now. Amazing turn-around. 👏🏽

I was passing through and was told was a good establishment. I wanted to buy some 38 ammo, however because I wasn’t buying a weapon I couldn’t purchase ammo. Places like this get to comfortable with there location and forget about customer service.

Excellent experience. We went to the range to get a feel for a few compacts. One of the employees made a suggestion and I decided to purchase that model. The staff were very informative, patient, and helpful. They let me try on several holsters with the pistol. They were genuinely helpful. I would absolutely recommend them. Been coming here for years. Used to be a great place. Sadly, they are now price gouging. Ammo is cheaper online. Decent selection of things overall, but they dont sell reloading equipment/components any more.

I have visited shooters 10+ in the past year and each experience has been more unpleasant than the last.I am rating two stars because while they will get the job done, you will leave feeling overcharged and unsatisfied. I will no longer be conducting business with Shooters and would recommend exploring other options before using them yourself.

Went to the range yesterday for the first time and had an amazing time. The guys there were extremely helpful and friendly. Had great customer service from the short Hispanic gentleman there and although they had a shortage in ammo, he suggested I try a few other guns they did have ammo for and still had a great time!

Excellent customer service. I stop by there maybe once or twice. I usually go to see Don if he’s free. He’s a really friendly guy and very knowledgeable if I have any questions. There was a newer employee named Jamal who I had the pleasure of meeting. He was also very informative and friendly we talked about guns. Which ones I liked vs. the ones he liked. He showed me some really cool guns that I personally wouldn’t have looked at it if it weren’t for him. Overall a very pleasant experienceJust recently purchased a GPS range bag. It’s an amazing bag. I had a great experience with shooters today. David was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very friendly and answered any questions I had. I read some negative reviews but decided to go and see for myself and Im very glad I did. The other staff members were also friendly and helpful. I went to the store as well as the range and I dont have any complaints. David gave me great suggestions on different firearms to test fire which would be good choices for people who suffer with arthritis. Overall the experience was great.. I purchased a firearm and a few other things and received a free membership. I look forward to many more visits to shooters of Columbus..

Rudest salespeople I ever encountered, anywhere. very limited stock of handguns. almost no revolvers at all. incompetent sales lady did not even know what a 454 caliber revolver was. thought I wanted a rifle 😁🤷‍♂️. went to a much smaller gun shop that was very knowledgeable, and ordered my Taurus 454 Raging Bull for me. Shooters missed an $1,100 sale from me!

This place was amazing!!! Purchasing a Christmas present for my husband. I had never purchased a gun in my life and they made it so easy and quick too. I was able to make the purchase have a background check done all on my lunch break. Amanda was very knowledgeable and was able to help me pick the perfect gift. Now all I have to do is wait patiently until Christmas to give it to him.

I WAS going to enjoy spending money there, but I spent the last dollar I will today. 3rd visit today and a couple hundred $$ spent in all 3 visits.As a 100% rated, Service connected disabled Army Veteran, I found it insulting to basically be told Im not VETERAN ENOUGH for the 5% discount for Retired military, and those that were medically discharged, since I didnt have the red or blue ID card.My NOT VETERAN ENOUGH, Disabled Veteran money will gladly be spent elsewhere.Thanks for not the slap in the face, but the SLAM in the face.

Very poor customer service. Be very careful that you get what you pay for. I paid $45 for a one hour lesson and firing my gun. One hour and 45 minutes later I gave up. Never got to fire the gun.

I have been there 2 times now, and both times was great. Their ammunition is high but some of there worker make up for that. And I do mean some of their workers are good. The 1st time I was there I got very bad custody service. But the 2nd time made up for it. The rental range workers been some customer service training but after awhile. We got on track. I will be back again if Academy is out of ammo

When living in Alabama they have to bring your gun to the pawn shop, they wait til they last min of the day to bring your gun to the pawn shop no matter what time of the day you bought it

Absolutely dazzling first experience today! First of all upon first walking in the door, my wife and I were greeted and tended to immediately. They got us ready for the range in less than two minutes and boy Ill tell you that going to the range is the best thing ever when the staff is nice and helpful like the guys that were there today. It was the best thirty bucks spent in a long time. I’m going back tomorrow!

I always shop around to get the best deal on a firearm, but today Shooters lost my business. I’m interested in purchasing the Taurus G2C compact 9mm pistol, which the reviews are good on. Anyways called the store to get a price which the gun was listed over $300 after tax $60 more than anywhere else I’ve checked with. Sorry guys over priced. Good luck. I have to leave a response to answer sir. When I called your store and a sales associate answered the phone and aI asked the price on the Taurus G2C 9mm I was told he’ll call me back. No problem. When he did he quoted a price of 299.00 plus tax, which sir would be over 300.00. So now Your customer is making this up??? Interesting.... why would I make this up??? So if I were to walk in today you would have it listed at 199.00 plus tax? I’ll call you out on that. I want to apologize to the store and the OWNER personally. I was miss quoted on the price on the Taurus G2C and do deeply apologize. I gave you 5 stars. Sorry again.

Selection is pretty good, especially on handguns. Issue is with Shipping/receiving. Waited 26 days back in Jan. to get an FFL transfer from MI. Ordered a red dot on the 7th which they stated had 24 in stock online and have yet to receive it as of this date. Im all about supporting local 2A businesses but if I knew id have to wait two weeks plus, I wouldnt have ordered it...

I bought 5 flashlights from these ppl 2weeks ago. Neither one works properly! Waste of money! I charged them all for 10hrs with no results...I dont live in GA Im from TN. Not worth driving back for 55bucks. You guys are selling bullsssss.Well you know theres a problem now. Take them off the shelves.

I have never been in Shooters before... I use to walk the trail and would always walk behind Shooters. I finally went into Shooters to buy a gun and I felt so comfortable there... Before I picked my weapon out... The gentlemen took me to the shooting range to a young lady... I forgot her name however she is an instructor and she allowed me to use a firearm and shoot 5 rounds... Doesnt sound like much however... It sure helped me make a chose in what weapon I wanted as well as get a feel of the weapon... EVERYONE in there was friendly and they were all eager to help me with my weapon selection.. I am very grateful and cant wait to go to the range on Monday and shoot some more... Hangs down... SHOOTERS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR WEAPON!!

Shooters is a fantastic place for gun enthusiasts and right wing conspiracy theorists to acquire pretty much everything youre going to need for home defense or the impending zombie apocalypse or the government coming to get your guns which stands about as much chance as a zombie apocalypse as happening.the staff is extremely knowledgeable and will take whatever time is required to help you figure out what you need or to get you what you need.If they dont have it are more than ready to break out the catalogs and order it for you.on the rare occasion they have no idea what youre talking about no get online or do whatever they need to do to figure out what it is that you need so overall excellent customer service a fantastic selection of items and arrange where you can go and test out your new toy... So long as your new toy isnt a 308 rifle.The range has plenty of lanes and isnt expensive at all to use. I bought three standard torso targets and spent about an hour on the lane and it only cost me $19.I highly recommend Shooters.

The range prices are reasonable, and the staff are helpful and friendly. A couple of things the range booth walls should be higher, hot shell casings from the next lain comes over top of the wall. And when its hot outside the range gets hot so bring a rag if you sweat.

The definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting a different result. Ive left this place 3 times over the years vowing to never go back. There are a few employees there that Ive known for years that are good people but the service over all is terrible. I stood there today while one man refused to look up form the computer screen, I was in there a few days ago and he stood there talking to some guy in front of the ammo that I was obviously trying to get to for several minutes without even offering to step aside. They finally got out of my way and the guy left without making a purchase. Meanwhile I bought a few boxes of ammo. The selection is good but the prices are ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and drive to Butler and go to Barrows or even to Warner Robins and go to Chucks or Clyde Armory. I bought some scope rings yesterday that said they were good for 44 mm objectives but my 40 mm scope was bottomed out. I went to return them today and after being ignored for some time was informed that they dont do returns. Really? I watched a friend of mine buy a shotgun at Barrows and go back a week later and return it. Bo asked him if he had fired it and that was it. I can handle higher prices if Im getting good service but thats not how it works at Shooters.I see you responded. Im not interested in pointing out one employee when 80 percent of your staff has the same attitude. This isnt a one time occurrence, this is the general atmosphere of your place of business. It has been for years and I dont expect it to change because of my review. Im not trying to help you improve because I dont believe you care to. Im trying to warn other potential customers to stay away from your place of business and letting them know that they do have options. Barrows has better selection, comparable or better prices and much better service. Yes, there is a long drive involved with it but some people might find it worth their while. I do appreciate the response, though.

This range is a sweat box! I could’ve went to an outdoor range in mid summer and would have been more comfortable. The fans in there does nothing but push the hot air and people’s B.O around. So uncomfortable that I shot only half my rounds and left an hour before I planned to leave. On a good note the cost is reasonable

Please save your time and shop elsewhere. I suppose the workers here are too preoccupied to actually show the potential customers their guns behind the counter and instead opt to pointing to the direction of the ones you are searching for. Their are over a dozen places to buy the gun you want within this place, again save your time and go somewhere where the staff will treat you with respect.

I figured I would contribute a recent review. This is in regards to the range portion only as we have not experienced purchasing/trading/selling here. My husband and I have been twice and will continue to go. The staff are very nice, always greeting us multiple times as we make our way back to the range. I am very impressed with the selection of rental guns and targets they have available. They also provide you with equipment if you need it. The prices are just right to have a fun date and not go overboard. We shot three different pistols, with multiple targets and ammunition, and equipment for both of us for less than $70. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and very nice. Overall just rating a 4-star because we have only experienced this one portion of the store.

Dealt with Don at Shooters of Columbus. Although Im not extremely knowledgeable he took the time to explain everything without talking down to me. I had to walk around for a while until I could find someone to help me. Good selection of firearms and sights. Their holsters are very reasonably priced although my experience this time was very poor. Otherwise I would give it a higher rating. One of the workers smelled like alcohol, the guy seemed hungover.

Most of the people were great. One older dark haired salesman was rude enough to almost negate everone. My son did not have enough $ on his credit card and he acted like we were trying to make a straw purchase. We both have permits and all I needed to do was transfer money to his account. I will forget him

The staff was extremely helpful and customer service oriented. They spent a lot of time making sure I got exactly what I needed. It was great that they have such a wide variety of guns to rent at their range. I was actually able to try out the type of gun I ultimately selected. I was pleasantly surprised by how fair their prices were too.

Great range, the pro shop is amazing. You want it, they got it, they dont have it, theyll get it. Chris was awesome. Spent about an hour walking me through some of the basics on building a bench rest 308. Will be coming back soon!!

They helped me choose the right firearm for me, offered great classes on safety and have always gone above and beyond for customer service. Shooters has also been the sponsor for The Well Armed Woman - Columbus Chapter for the last year. They have been wonderful to our group and our group has grown from about 20 ladies to over 60 currently. Whatever you need, just ask! They will help you out!

***BUYERS BEWARE****This store sells used parts!!!😖 They sold me used sights and charge full price for them too. You can see the other pic where the package was previously opened. That front sight was clearly hit with a punch to come out. Of course it was my fault when i brought it up to their attention saying I did it. Thanks for the waste of money, enjoy.

Great selection of firearms, OK prices, poor costumer service. The reason you buy guns from a store is customer service. Gun stores cant beat online catalogs in price and availability. So the gun store needs to make positive relationships with the customer. Complaints dont mean anything if you dont offer fead back. Here is my feedback: greet guests at the door, dont ignore them, give them a reason to come back, and make them feel welcome.

Staff is very knowledgeable and informative. Joe and Bob were great to deal with. Especially Bob who went out of his way to make my six year old daughter comfortable in a gun store. They joked about eating smurfs and kissing boys. He also showed her his scars from surgery and explained to her about why he had them when she asked about his knee brace. Will definitely be back again. Ask for Bob if you have a six year old smurf eater.

I bought my first shotgun at Shooters around 2008 and have done business with them off and on since. Small purchases, holsters, ammmo, etc...... They have a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. There is always a large military presence there which is a HUGE PLUS to me personally as I am accustomed to being around responsible gun owners. I have always had a positive experience and am surprised to see such a low overall review score. Take it from someone who appreciates professionals and a quality experience, Shooters is a great spot.

What has normally been a good experience was ruined today by their management. I had the door closed in my face by their manager this afternoon because I walked in literally 30 seconds before noon.I stood there looking at him through the door waiting for him to open it. When he did there was no apology for having to wait the 30 seconds for him to be ready to serve customers.I have been a customer of shooters for over 10 years every time I come back to Fort Benning. Hopefully they can retrain their employees on customer service before they keep losing patrons.

Have been shooting there for years. As far as the race thing there are targets that portray white villains to shoot both male and female. but as usual the 77% needs to make sure the 17% is not offended. If you dont like the targets shoot a tree, oh can;t do that anymore either. Just dont shoot

Was a very nice and clean store..massive selection on firearms..Only 2 complaints was I stood trying to make eye contact with every employee they had for about 20 mins before someone looked at me like I was lost and finally asked if they could help.Also as large a selection they have they only had literally 1 Glock 19 IWB holster..other than that I give it 4 stars.

Alright well I take back my review from last time it appears that shooters isnt so bad after all. I wont comment on the range flak that happened a while back although I think it was petty as you can literally buy all kinds of targets but you know someone will always be butt hurt about something. I actually had two good experiences going in as of recent part of it was talking to a car dude who had great energy and another young lady who appears to be car dudes sidekick lol. Usually a good time. But on the last two visits, I have been ask to change lanes in the middle of my session. A real inconveinance on a paid service. And using multiple firearms and calibers. After being moved to lane six. The fan behind me was blowing so hard that it would not let my paper target settle and be still. After informing the manager. She told me that there was nothing she could do about it. Not even have my $5 dollar range fee. Having a moving target in an indoor rang is totally in acceptable. Complete fail on costumer service.

Awful service, multiple workers there dont even know what theyre talking about and theyre incredibly overpriced. Youre better off going to primaryarms for most of your gun related needs.

I like the indoor range to shoot at. Its usually the only thing I go there for. One time the staff was rude about me picking up my fired casings. He came over and was sweeping them up and said that they make extra money off them for reloading. He said that specially since I bought the ammo there since he remembered me buying the box of 9mm ammo from him. I told him that I didnt even have a 9mm pistol with me and that I didnt buy any ammo from him. I also said that I was shooting a 45gap, which ammo is hard to find and that they didnt even have any in their whole store. He just kinda stared at me like a deer in headlights.I really wish that someone else would have a nice range to go to. No other reason to go to Shooters.
