I do tons of cooking so I am in and out of this place weekly. Truly a one-stop-shop for any spices you need. Tons of hand-blended rubs, spices, mixers, pickles foods etc. The staff is always there to greet you at the door and has always been helpful with any questions I’ve had. All the Spice Island and McCormick you’ve been buying at the grocery store can be picked up here at a higher quality and lower price more often than not. You’re also supporting a business owned by a local family which I think is more important now than ever.

Whether you are a spice connoisseur or looking to enhance your palate, Savory Spice Shop has everything you need to diversify your recipe collection. Rees was extremely helpful and informative of aromas and taste profiles associated with the spices I had sampled and provided insight on different sizes when it came to spice quantity and how long it could be used. Ten out of ten, absolutely recommend!

I have yet to try the spices, but given the knowledge and energy that the staff had about their products, I do not doubt that they’re going to be great. Special shout-out to Reese for being so hospitable!

Love the spices from here! My wife often grabs me a gift certificate here for birthdays and Christmas. Cant say enough good things about this spot. Love the Prime Rib seasoning and the citrus rub is amazing on fish.

I think this is my favorite store in downtown. The smells are amazing and the staff are wonderful with service and advice. You can find spices, dip mixes, soup mixes, extracts, and so much more.

This place has such a great variety. I recently started the mediterranean diet and was kind of lost on what to do with my veggies. This place has great olive oils, seasoning blends, soups, and mixers. I bought the fried chicken seasoning it has completely upped my cooking game. I used it with some grilled chicken and zucchini noodles and I loved it more than a chicken alfredo. I will definitely be stopping in and trying some more. Love the fresh bold flavor.

First time visitor. Such a neat shop. Employees were friendly and very helpful. Very clean. Excited to try the new spices I got. Loved all the salt-free flavors available.

Loved the little pre made packets that you can just toss in a dish and have it ready. The cider they were serving was delicious. I wanted to buy the entire container of the garlic spice. It smelled amazing. When I started browsing the loose leaf teas I noticed the packaging was made out of rice paper. I immediately looked at my husband and said oh they’re getting 5 stars. So here I am staying true to my word.

I have always loved Savory Spice and have been shopping with them over 5 years. However, today I had brought my niece and nephew who are 4 and 6 years old to the shop on Tejon St. My husband and I overheard another shopper complaining that these kiddos were not wearing masks. In which one of the employees rudely commented, Yes, we are ignoring them. Maybe I am a little over sensitive, yet I do believe kids under the age of 11 here in Colorado are not required to wear a mask. I am really over this blatant snobbering happening with this and I expected a bit more professionalism from Savory Spice employees. I will not be returning to this shop and if this is the stance for all of these shops then I will stop doing business with them altogether.

How old is your jar of cinnamon powder? If you bought it from Dick and his great and friendly team of folks, you wouldnt have to wonder...and youd be assured that it had been carefully packed by hand in small batches. Love this place. Internally I call this place flavor heaven.

I love this place and have been coming here for years. Some of my favorite products include their bohemian forest blend, pikes peak butchers rub and their onion and garlic blend. They also carry spices, blends and extracts that are often difficult to find around town (sumac, fenugreek, garam masala, rose water, vanilla bean paste etc.). Their loyalty program gives you a free spice on your birthday and a 10 dollar credit for every 100 dollars you spend with them. If you like to cook, youll be like a kid in a candy shop here.

I love to stop by this store every once in a while to pick up bloody mary mix and local spices/jams. For an independent business, the prices seem reasonable in my opinion. Definitely a cute store that I enjoy shopping at!

Very nice little place! Walked in to Spice smells all around with different categories in the store! From grilling spices, to baking, to vinegars and hot sauces, they got a lot! Plus if youre a PPCC culinary student or so then you can get a discount if its for class! I can see why a lot of classmates and people in general talk about and like this place! I may have gotten a little crazy with how much lavender was there though.😂

We love shopping at savory spice shop because the customer service is great. Tammy always personalizes the shopping experience there. how are children are grown and out of the house and we are able to buy very small amounts of our desired spices at the store. Did you ever think of trying to make chicken curry from scratch? I didnt, until I walked into Savory Spice the other day and saw that they sell pre-made, idiot-proof seasoning recipes with a fantastic blend of spices ready to go, each including a simple grocery list of what else you need to make a delicious home-cooked meal. I now have half a dozen friends asking for the recipe, and I have to admit it was all in the spices! Not to mention, these pre-made packages are branded Spice & Easy, and I cant pass up a good pun. The staff were friendly and very helpful. You can buy packaged spices or purchase in bulk, down to the ounce. This place has something for serious and begrudging cooks alike.

Some of the best seasonings and spices, delicious blends and honestly pretty reasonable prices for the quality of their products. The staff is always very friendly, and clearly love working here.

Went to buy my friend a gift card because she loves spices. They have such a huge selection of quality spices. I personally havent gotten the chance to really cook in my own kitchen yet but once I do I would probably come here and get some. A little on the pricier side but Id say because its more fresh and higher quality that the price margin increase makes sense.

I walked by here a little while ago and decided to go in. I was almost immediately greeted by an employee who showed me how everything in this nifty shop works. They have samples of nearly every spice they have (maybe all of them) which makes choosing that exotic spice youve never heard of a LOT easier. Very good quality spices and seasonings here, you wont be disappointed.

We just love this place. The quality and freshness of the spices is trustworthy. Expect to pay for the quality though. Not cheap, but they do give name brands from your grocery store spice aisle a run for their money.

Went to a cooking class, spent $80 to sit in a lawn chair and sample some Thai food. Spent my entire dinner hours in the class watching a chef warm my food and didnt get to help at all. The food was good but Jesus for $80 I should of at least left full. I could of bought all of the ingredients for the entire class and spent less than $80 based off what we ate. We got out just in time for all the restaurants to close...ate some chicken nuggets from McDonalds and called it a night. Never again! I want my money back!Dont advertise it as a cooking class if you dont get to help and dont even get a full meal.

Friendly service, with a really nice atmosphere, and very clean. The prices are pretty reasonable, especially when purchasing a not so common spice. This is a must visit location, when you are in this part of town, if you are into cooking with spices. I think you will be happy you visited.

The Savory Spice Shop on Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs is fantastic. The prices are great, the service is wonderful, the products are absolutely wonderful. I buy all my spices at Savory and they helped me mix up the perfect blend for my BBQ brisket. I have tried other spice shops and Savory is the best!
