By far the worst experience ever. From oxygen sensors not being hooked back up after a 4.5k job, to brackets not being torqued down, and exhaust missing gaskets. Engine light was in upon pickup, car sounded like total trash up upon job being complete and at pickup.Mentioned this before leaving lot, was told they would consider waiving the diagnostic fee to figure out what was wrong.Will not return here, and DO NOT reccomend.

Update 05.24.21: Changing my review from 5 to 2 stars. I took my 13 F150 back to A&R to have all of the driveline fluids replaced. The bill was over $1,000. I felt it was high, but thought it was worth it to have professionals do the work. When I got the truck back, I took a peek beneath the rear end and noticed it still looked a little dirty. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the sealant still had spray paint(rust prevention) on it. Knowing it should have been removed and re-sealed, I took it back to A&R. They claimed they sectioned the fluid out and replaced it, and refunded me the labor charged to remove the cover.A few weeks later I was going on a trip, and had all of the fluids checked by a different shop. They found the front diff fluid looked like the original stuff. A&R first hinted that maybe the axle seals were bad and water got in it. After inspection, they found this wasnt the case, but maybe the tech didnt get all of the old fluid out.So they didnt service the front diff, and at the very least didnt service the rear diff how they should have. Ive completely lost confidence in A&R, and its a damn shame.Original Review:These folks are always good to me. They give me an honest diagnosis on whichever car/truck I bring, and a fair price.

Highly recommend this place. I brought my truck in to have my engine diagnosed. The entire time I was dealing with a man named Will who was very polite, professional, up front with everything and kept me informed with what was going on. I ended up needing an engine replacement; luckily covered under warranty. Of course the warranty company wanted things done a certain way... in this case a full brake down of the engine. Will explained to them that what his service tech did was enough. Saving me alot of money and them time. Anything vehicle related I will bring it here. I never felt taken advantage of or pushed into unnecessary services. They have a very happy customer.

I have taken my car to a couple of places around this city. Ive had more misses than hits, and it really showed when I got my car to A&R. All I can say is they earned a lifetime customer; I wont take my car anywhere else. Yes, you will spend money, but it will be worth it, plus you okay what they do before doing it. The work is honest, the front desk keeps you informed and you only have to do what you want to do. Great shop, and great staff. I wish I had been doing business with them all along.

Although there are many 5-star reviews for A&R, my overall experience with them didnt meet my expectations. Its hard to find a great mechanic out here and A&R proved exactly why.About a month ago, Tuesday, April 25, I spoke with Andrew over the phone and explained to him what was going on with my truck. The air conditioner went out in my 2011 Armada. I wanted to establish an initial connection because thats important when it comes to major repairs such as home, auto, etc.He agreed to look at it and my wife dropped it off the very next day, Wednesday, April 26. After the diagnostic, they called and gave me the quote. I agreed and didnt budge a bit. I didnt try to lowball them or take the cheap way out.The repair time was estimated at about 6 hours, but it ended up taking a few days. Fine. No problem.I stayed in contact with the receptionist, Julie, throughout the repair. Not once did I give anyone a hard time. Honestly, I was more concerned that more problems would be created. The longer it was there, the higher chance I had of that happening.I spoke with Julie the morning of Friday, April 28 and she told me that they couldnt get my airbag light to stop blinking. They didnt know exactly why and maybe they needed to order a new connector. Fine. No problem.I needed my truck, so agreed to pick it up and bring it back to fix the light.Fine. No problem. My wife paid them cash and we picked it up later that evening.The problem arose AFTER I picked up my truck.As I looked around the inside of my truck, I noticed the cover for my gear stick was chipped and the hole wasnt closed (see pic below). I also noticed oil fingerprints above my window (see pic below). There was even shop rags left on the floor!Before I go any further, I must admit that my truck wasnt the cleanest at the time. But I know my mess from someone elses.I knew there was a problem with whoever worked on it, so I decided to go through the shop owner, Andrew, from that point forward.The following week I called to speak with Andrew, but he wasnt there. I was referred to the manager, Shannon. I spoke with him and emailed the pic of the gear cover. I didnt mention the oil spots or shop rags. I just wanted my truck fixed.The following week I spoke with Andrew about the situation and agreed to bring my truck in for the corrections. As a matter of fact, we spoke twice. I didnt mention the oil spots or shop rags. I just wanted my truck fixed.The receptionist called me when the part arrived and I dropped my truck off overnight. I wrote on the note not to worry about the light because Id taken care of it. I just wanted the cover replaced.When I picked my truck up, the piece was put on correctly. But the gear handle was put on backwards! Cmon guys! Whats up with the pettiness?(see pic below)Its very hard to believe this wasnt done on purpose by one of Andrews techs. I just dont understand because I havent disrespected anyone on his staff. I work outside Clarksville and dont have time to go back and forth behind petty stuff.After this, I decided to leave an honest review and find another mechanic.Andrew and I spoke about giving them credit for the repair. Fine. No problem. Great job and you get all the credit. But whos going to take credit for everything else?

Brought my wrangler in with several issues, transmission was leaking fluid everywhere, my exhausts were broken, my engine mounts needed to be replaced along with my rear brakes and rotors. Will was extremely courteous, helpful and honest and they showed me exactly where the issues were and what needed to be done. They really stepped up and helped me out and I’m so glad to finally have my Jeep back and running normal again.

We just moved to town and my A/C compressor snapped. Every shop we called could Ed get us in. Will took my vehicle in and called me with all the details before starting the work. We told him we needed it as soon as possible, and they got it back to us in a few days. Thank you for everything!

Had a busted heater hose on my 08 Explorer. When I called and told the problem, the computer had multiple prices. I told them replace the one hose and check the others. If they need replacing, go ahead and change them out plus Change the oil. Got a call about an hour later saying the other hoses looked good but the serpentine belt needed replaced and I had a wheel bearing going bad. Told them to fix the hose, change the oil, and serpentine belt. We decided to do the bearing in a couple weeks. They were friendly and fast. My car was ready the next day. I will use them more in the future.

My car needed a new battery. Diagnosis with labor and part was 580 dollars. It seems these guys prey on the mechanically inexperienced.However....They are fast, efficient, and great at their jobs.This was a one star review because in November of 2019, putting a new battery in the van I own was overpriced.Out of desperation, I had to use them again and they were quick and efficient and provided good customer service. Ive upped the review to 3 stars

You get what you pay for is what they say. Well, I have to give this shop 5 stars for what they did. Not only was the job done in a day but it was done right at a reasonable rate. The piece of mind I have of knowing the job is done right is priceless. Will, a service tech, made sure he called and discussed every issue and made sure I understood and I gave them my concent before they moved forward evry step of the way. I wouldnt hesitate to take my vehicle back there for any issue that may arise. Cant thank them enough.

A&R auto care is the only place we will take our 2005 Jeep Wrangler. They have helped us work through a number of issues with our Jeep, and followed through on their warranty when we had an issue with one of the parts. A&R offers military discounts, so be sure to let them know if you are a servicemember! They knew us by name, and even ask about our kids when we call. Absolutely satisfied with the service we receive here!

Best people Ive ever dealt with. My Chevy Spark car always gets serviced there and even after switching to my Mazda Cx3 I still brought my car there. My husband also come here to get his car fixed and for maintenance. I visited the town again and they were able to take me in last minute for a service. So sad that I dont live in the area anymore but Ill always recommend this place to anybody. Love this place. Hands down to the mechanics and customer service people.

I love the complete workup that they provide when you bring your vehicle in. It allowed me to choose the services that needed to be handled right away versus the things I can get done later on. They were also able to work out an awesome deal for replacing my four tires when I initially came to change two. As it turned out the tires that came with the vehicle I bought were not the size designed for my car. I appreciate their hard work and great attitudes!

Threw away $500 and fixed neither of the issues I needed addressed. The cars A/C was “fixed” for a few days until I drove to attend training and ceased to blow cold air. The grinding and brake shudder I was experiencing was misdiagnosed. The actual repair would cost over $700 additional.The personnel working there are extremely polite and the building appears professional, but that is all the good I can say.

I had apprehension about having this work done, and that was put at ease almost instantly.The entire experience was very pleasant. They towed my vehicle when it died and then after diagnosing the problem they charged me 1100 dollars to replace my timing belt. Not my fault your mechanics ramp up the labor time because theyre lazy. Very rude and refused to negotiate the price.After picking up my car I noticed a very strong fuel smell. It got worse, so bad that when the actual symptoms kicked in, my car was nearly dying on the road. While driving normally, the car would bog down and a potent fuel smell would come through the vents. After weeks it became nearly impossible to drive longer than 15 minutes. I was too afraid of them making it worse if I asked them to fix it, so I did it myself and replaced the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. But it didnt help the problem and it still happens to this day, the main reason why I bought a new car.I can assume that most ”5 star ratings for this company are paid for, begged for, or given in exchange for maintenance discounts. There are so many 1 star reviews that its clear the 5 star reviews are fake.I will be spreading my story to other forums, review apps and enthusiast pages. I encourage everyone else whos had an awful experience to do the same. This company needs to learn from their mistakes and their services need to be avoided.

Ive been going to A&R for my big repair needs for years and theyve always taken good care of me. Theyve done everything from a complete engine replacement to fuel pumps to routine stuff like brakes and oil on all of my vehicles since 2013. Yes, there are cheaper options in town but you get what you pay for. I know how much the owners care about their customers and thats why Ill always go to A&R first.

Through a recommendation by a friend, I came to this place after work to have some much-needed repairs done on my car. The entire staff were friendly, and the owners made it a point to make me feel welcome. I was thrilled to learn that my repairs would be backed up by a 5 year/50,000 mile warranty!!!! I have definitely found the shop to get all of my future repairs done at, and have already scheduled future work to be done!

Was planning on having my brakes done on my car here(only needed back ones). got to my appointment and was quoted over $1000 so I called a few other places and got quotes for $300 $400 even $500 less. Same exact specific parts being changed (rotor caliper and pads). So I brought this to the attention of the lady at the desk and so she “took another look” and somehow she had added a few other services that didn’t need to be done so with removing those I still was looking at roughly $850. Sorry no thanks. Took it somewhere else got the job done for hundreds less and wasn’t disrespected like I was here!

They always do good by me. Last time I went, I had the rudest manager who was very disrespectful. I went there to get my AC looked at, informed them that I’ve already had some service done to it and I was asking them to check the status of the part (to make sure that was the issue) they did something I informed them NOT to do and they charged me for it. That was a $88.00 lesson. I have spent a lot of money there and I will NEVER go back there because of how they treated the situation.

Let me start by saying that my initial call was pleasant and informative. I believe her name is Jessica, she listened to my problem and explained the diagnostic process including the costs right out the gate. Then when it came to scheduling she was honest in telling me that she couldnt get me in for a few days because they were swamped so she not only offered a day where i might be able to squeeze in, but set me up with an available appointment anyway and i appreciate that. It worked out that the scheduled appointment worked out. Id rather have this honesty instead of sure well take care of you just leave it here and well get around to it. Ive had my car for 14 years so there were a couple BIG fixes as well as a few minor things that could be put off. I couldnt financially take care of everything at once so not only was i given a credit option through a company they work with, but they made it clear to me the things that were in dire need of repair. It was never an all or nothing approach with these guys. Anyway, i chose to get the big stuff done and they kept me informed along the way. It was a full days job that started Friday morning but ended up being completed Monday morning. As i said, my cars a little on the older side so when they told me on Friday that it probably wouldnt be done because it was taking longer than expected i totally understood. The fact that i was driving it around with my kids in the condition they told me it was in was scary enough so i just wanted it done right. Anyway, got it back Monday morning and heard a noise that wasnt there before so i called them and they told me to bring it on back and theyd check it out. The mechanic rode with me so i could point out the noise to him. They ended up having to order a piece to fix it so they called and scheduled me to come back when they got the piece. (Only a couple days) Anywho, i showed up and they ran into another problem with the bracket they ordered for the fix but they managed to get it done. I feel bad that i dont remember the mechanics name because he definitely deserves a mention and my car rides so smoothly now with no noise. He was nice enough to let me know everything that was going on through the process. Everyone here was pleasant, including the manager i spoke with. Overall this place was professional, from what Ive noticed so far the work is quality, all the employees are kind, bathrooms were clean, the waiting rooms are clean and comfortable, and they even have a little separate play room for kids. The staff are so friendly and I have never felt pressured by them to get anything they find fixed. They simply inform you and allow you to make the best decision for you at the time. If something isnt fixed to your satisfaction, they will do what it takes, within reason, to make it right.

A&R was great and reasonably priced for what I saw and super friendly. I just moved here from CA so I have NO idea about anything in Clarksville. Found A&R off Yelp. My wife backed her Jeep over a concrete embankment and had to be towed out. I wanted it checked out to make sure nothing was seriously damaged. A&R said an inspection was 40-80 depending if they had to check fluid lines for leaks. Reasonable. After coming in they suggested an alignment for 70 and the inspection would be free while they have it up doing that. Great idea! Since the wrecker had to drag her out thats probably the better way to go to make sure alignment wasnt jacked up too. Great bunch of guys I talked to and will definitely be coming back for oil changes and what not in the future. Highly recommended.

Our old car was running rough and the A/C wasnt working properly. A&R did a thorough inspection and found two problems that needed to be fixed to avoid engine damage and took care of some long over due maintenance issues. The car runs smooth now and the leaks in the A/C were fixed affordably. My experience is that this is an honest auto repair shop that does excellent work. Thanks to Kayla and special thanks to the experts who worked on our car. Feel like they breathed new life into it, saving us money in the long run.

I visited this shop on August 21, 2017 and originally had a bad experience with the original sales manager. After discussing the situation with the owner things were handled well. I had a chance to speak to Andrew the owner of A&R auto and he met the expectations you want from an owner. He went beyond apologizing which shows he values his customers and I appreciate this. This shop has good and bad reviews. Many of the bad experiences I would imagine come from dealing with previous sales managers trying to get as much out of any repair as possible. I believe reviews involving price are because sales managers made up prices as they went along. After speaking with Andrew I imagine he is remedying this situation. I recommend reading the reviews (good and bad) and speaking to Andrew (owner) or Ken if you have/had problems, concerns, or questions. This review gets three stars only because Andrew did try his best to compensate me for my experience.

A1 Service!!! I was late to drop off on my appointment and late to pickup my BMW. They still did everything they could to accommodate my repair needs. They were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. Definitely will refer others and return for services.

This review would be 5 stars, however, I did have to take my vehicle back in after the original issue I had was repaired.They put in a brand new transmission and torque converter, I paid in full, called regularly to check in on my vehicle. I received adequate updates and they were friendly and polite every time I called. Definitely put me at ease.Went to pick it up, started and shifted fine, ran great. The issue was my steering alignment. The vehicle pulled right pretty hard and in order to drive straight I was turned 45 degrees to the left. Not sure how it happened, didnt ask. Simply called and explained my concern with the issue as it wasnt like that when I dropped it off.I spoke with Shannon the manager, he said bring it on back whenever I could and they would take a look at it and fix it, at no cost to me. He apologized and was very professional. I couldnt be happier with the customer service honestly, great group of professionals.Dropped it off the next morning, picked it up around 3:30pm, straight as an arrow. Couldnt be happier. Definitely recommend these guys and gals. I will be a return customer, even with the little hiccup. They were willing to make it right and that says a lot about the caliber of business they are.

Ive taken my 2 vehicles there for a timing belt, exhaust repair and for a regular oil change/service. Each time was a great experience. The customer service is awesome, I was happy with the quality of work, and the prices are MORE than fair.I would recommend this shop to anyone!

Went in for power steering fluid leak. Got car back 2 days later with a check engine light on, and then my car said it was going to overheat, but I got my car back as the shop was closing so I drove home praying it wouldn’t break down. Took it back, and they gladly repaired the damage at no cost to me! They helped get the car back to me since I had no other transportation and a sick baby. Now I can take her to the doctor, and all my stresses are gone!

The owners are great and fair. The manager is friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel comfortable there. Ive never had a problem and they have an awesome warranty! I definitely recommend this shop.

A/R has always been very straight up with me. If you have a motorhome let A/R take care of the mechanical stuff. The owner is involved in this business and truly cares about customers. Bring your auto, or motorhome repair needs to A/R you wont regret it. Im a real customer not a paid blogger.

Great hospitality. I didnt have to wait long to get a r er placement on my thermostat however they forgot I mentioned if they could replace one of my fog lights to my Dodge charger and said they would. I didnt realize it was not fixed until after hours. Ill just go back and inform them but my visit was great. Kayla and Chris are awesome.

These guys are great! We were passing through on vacation and broke down. A&R fixed us up quickly! They saw the out of state license plate and asked about it. They took a real concern in trying to get me back on the road. Thank you Andrew and Rachel! You guys are the best!

I went in for a fuel injector service along with a spark plug and wire change, and the truck runs great afterward. I am skeptical about the claim they made about me coolant needing to be flushed when they just changed it when they replaced my radiator and transmission cooling line 3 weeks ago. And I dont know what bushing theyre talking about that needs to be replaced considering the front control arms passenger side is just fine since it was fixed last year and the rivets removed and bolts put in to replace rivets to save time on labor.

Work completed was satisfactory. Putting a quote together for work to fix engine came to a over inflated number. 9,000 dollars. Dealers were two thirds of that. When questioned no detailed breakdown of quote could be provided upon my request.

Had issues with my 5th wheel bearings. Called and immediately got through. Spoke with a nice gentleman on the phone. Was able to be seen the same day. They went above and beyond. Honest people! Excellent customer service. Would recommend them to anyone in the Clarksville, Tennessee area! 💯

Andrew helped me out by changing a Broken Spark plug on my Labor Day weekend, he saved my butt from not having a boring four day with no car. appreciate his knowledge and Expertise. Good guy, real savior. With no charge other then learning how to use an spark plug extractor set.

These have to be some of the nicest people I have met on my travels. I had a check engine light come on while traveling through Tennessee and pulled into A&R Complete Auto Care. They were busy; but, they made time to retrieve the codes from the computer and found that the code had something to do with the EVAP system. They asked if I had recently filled up with gas and I had. The went back to the fuel door and found that the fuel cap was loose. They reassured me that I was ok to continue on my trip. It is nice to know that there are auto repair shops that are honest and caring.

Why have a ‘play room’ for kids if your gonna complain about 4-5 toys left on the floor?Anybody who has kids knows kids can be messy but I literally get on my kids about the smallest stuff. I could understand if my kids destroyed the room and had toys everywhere but there was literally no more than 6 toys left on the floor and I was told my kids make a mess!!
