I drove the extra distance, because I wont go back to the Sarasota location. It was worth it! What a difference in every way- the waiting room is huge and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. I waited a bit longer than I wanted to for a basic oil change- but not too much. They are busy there so I understood. And, Duane gave me updates as I waited.He told me about upcoming things Im going to need, but wasnt pushy about it. So I will go there again for service.

Highly recommend! I’ve been going to this location for over a year and each time I go it, the employees are incredibly friendly, helpful and listen if I have an issue with my vehicle.Even if you live in Sarasota, DO NOT go to the Sarasota location. Save yourself some sanity and frustration and go to the Lakewood Ranch location. You’ll be glad you did!!

Our daughter has just finished medical school and we were looking to replace her 2016 Santa Fe with a 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy as a graduation gift for her becoming a Doctor, we went to our local Brevard County Hyundai dealer and had a terrible experience with their sales department.We went online to see what other dealerships had the vehicle she wanted, we found the right car at Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood. I put in an internet price request, this was 10 oclock at night, immediately received an out of office email from Gina Sparks, the Internet Sales Manager saying someone would contact me when they reopened.At 8.03AM the following morning Jarrett Warren called me and I told him what I was looking for, that I had a two and a half hour drive to get there, so wanted a firm quote on the car and an assurance that what they told me they would offer me when I got there. He said to give him an hour and he would get back to me.He did!!!, gave me an out the door price on the car I wanted, assured me that this would not change the only thing that may change would be the finance rate as the special Hyundai were running expired the previous day and they hadnt got the new offers from Hyundai yet but, expected them within about 3 hours.I asked if they would hold the car until Saturday, this was Tuesday, if I gave them a deposit over the phone, he said they would take my card number, but not run it and the car would be available for me on Saturday.About 2 hours later I received another call from Jarrett, saying that the special finance rate had been extended by Hyundai so all was good.Today we made the 2 1/2 hour drive to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood, hoping that all Jarrett had told me was true, It was!!, Jarrett greeted us and we filled out the paperwork, waited for the business manager to prepare our paperwork, went into his office and signed, everything was as we had agreed on the phone, EXCEPT the finance rate changed, he placed the deal with a local credit union and the rate dropped by 1/4%, now thats a change I can live with!!!After signing, Jarrett spent a long time showing my daughter all the features of her new car, he was very knowledgeable, there is so much technology in this vehicle and he knew about everything, answered all questions my daughter had and we left feeling wonderful.Recap.Jarrett and Gina responded to a generic internet inquiry with great passion and honesty, everything they said was true and honored.I have been in the car business for nearly 40 years, and have finally found a dealer that operates as they should, is upfront, fair and honest.Well done Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood, we will be back for our next purchase.

The best dealer I have ever dealt with!!! Honest, keeps their word, and truly makes sure you know everything about your car before you leave. Jarrett went above and beyond to help me- helped me set all the settings to my liking, went through each and ever feature of the car, and answered all questions that I had. Drove 2.5 hours to this dealer specifically after getting a price over the phone and hoped they would actually stick to their word unlike other past dealers; and THEY DID! The love story between me and Hyundai Gettel of Lakewood ended as soon as I signed paperwork and got the keys. My brand new Tucson Limited 2022 developed small leak on the second day. I was told by a technician that this is residual from powertrain protective layer. But after few weeks the leak was so severe that I was forced to take it to dealership (Gettel of Sarasota as I did not trust initial dearlership at that point). Long story shoty, transmission was replaced after 3 weeks of parts waiting. My inquiry to see pre-delivery inspection report (PDI) went unanswered. Im convinced that the dealership knew about the leak and sold me that car with the issue. I do not recommend Hyundai Gettel of Lakewood to anybody: they proved to be unresponsive, dishonest and indifferent to their customers.

Console between front bucket seats melted and was gooey. 2017 Sonata Limited with less than 30K miles. Went down to dealer and less than enthusiastic head of service dept took pictures Told to wait three weeks for field rep to give authorization for replacement. Called back in four weeks and was told field rep never saw pictures. Pictures send out again and received reply, will not cover and classified as normal wear and tear. Had to call corporate office twice. Corporate office told me dealer should have replaced it. Had to file a complaint against dealer. Finally received approval from dealer calling it good will-really.. If I ever buy a Hyundai, I will have to think twice about buying it from this dealer. They ate my heart out to get what should of been replaced.

Morgan was very helpful during the purchase of our vehicle. We are really enjoying our new Hyundai. There was a small scratch on the hood and we sent them a picture as soon as we got home. They made an appointment and fixed it for us right away. Also the window tint had not been applied, so they applied it on the same day as the repair. We would recommend Lakewood Gettel Hyundai for the purchase of a new vehicle.

Willie McNeal was the BEST car Salesman I have EVER dealt with! He knew every detail of the vehicles that he showed me, and most of all......he LISTENED to me! I love my car & dealership!They take the best care of us. I purchased my Sonata almost 2 years ago. They cover every oil change, tire rotation etc. They inspect the car: top off fluids and put air in the tires. They clean the vehicle and are very kind. The service here is amazing. This was my first time buying a car and Morgan and Katelyn helped me so much with finding a nice and affordable car. They were so patient and understanding with me. We spent about 6 hours trying to figure out how Im going to drive home in a new car on the same day of purchase. Overall great experience! Megan was great! It was Sunday so they were busy, but she made sure we got the keys to test drive the car. Told us to take our time.No pressure or sales tactics!Other employees were also friendly.There was a wait to get in to see the finance guy and do the final paperwork, but once we got in front of him it was quick and easy. I drove about 4 hours to this dealer in order to close a deal on a used vehicle and after a couple weeks I can confidently say that I am very pleased with this dealer. I initially made contact with a salesman by the name of Travis Gross and can guarantee you this deal would not have happened if it was not for his assistance. Travis is a relatively new salesman at this dealer, but definitely not new to sales. Travis was very personable and accommodating, quick to reply to emails, and extremely thorough when it came to addressing questions and concerns with the used performance car I was looking at. Travis makes it a point to have a pleasant experience, while providing accurate information before even getting on the lot, DEFINITELY not your typical sales guy who BSs and creates urgency to rush you into a purchase.Overall, this dealership was very fair with my trade in, honest about used vehicles condition, and did a thorough job at detailing the vehicle prior to purchase. My girlfriend had been looking for and researching all about Jeep Wranglers. One pops up on the used car lot here. 2019 2 door soft top. Shes all over it because its listed at $29k. Jeeps hold their value longer than anything on the market so this was a GREAT deal! We get there, price has gone up $5k. They made a mistake putting it out for $29k. But they did list it as such and in the end they honored that price tag. Most honest car salespeople I have ever seen. Fully recommend

We are from North Dakota, and were trying to help our Florida daughter & son-in-law buy a Hyundai Tucson today. We saw one online and called and talked to a very nice salesman, Nick. He went on the lot to make sure it was still available, and it was. Our daughter lives over 2.5 hours away from the dealership, so we wanted to make sure the Tucson would still be there for them and not be sold before they could get there. They told us we needed to make a $1000 NONREFUNDABLE downpayment in order for them to hold the car. We understood it was risky for them to work with someone so far away, and agreed to the downpayment and gave them our credit card info. Gina worked with our daughter to get pictures etc of a possible trade in, and before everything could be finalized, the General Sales Manager decided to sell the car to someone else who walked into the dealership even though we were working on the sale details. Of course, they tried to talk us into buying a different Tucson that we werent interested in. I find the sales managers decision to be very unethical after we agreed to the $1000 nonrefundable downpayment. If this is how they treat an actual customer who has placed a deposit, I can only imagine what type of after sale service someone would get. We went to our local ND dealer, found the exact Tucson we wanted, put down a $500 deposit (they said wed get it back if it didnt work out) and will drive it down to FL.

Had my 2020 Hyundai Accent worked on and while it was in the repair shop having the AC knob replaced for some reason somebody really likex my blue metallic flip-top ash tray that I have had for over 13 to 14 years that was given to me by my mother taken from my car and nobody knows what happened to it. Not the first time that I have had some incidents with my car at this shop would be nice if it would mysteriously reappear cuz its something that cant be replaced and yes I am pretty ticked off

Third Time is a CharmThis was the 3rd issue with the engine. First 2 times Roberto Cruz assisted me, and was quick to ascertain the problem, and get my car in to the shop to replace the part. The 3rd time, Juan Cruz assisted me, and assured me that even though they were fully booked he would have my car taken care of. I had my dog with me, and he allowed me to bring her into the Dealership with me while I waited to my ride. Gettel is lucky to have such great assets as Roberto and Juan to their dealership! Young, knowledgeable, kind, respectful, just what a person in my position of not knowing with my car, concern for my pet, just overall job! KUDOS to Juan and Roberto! ******

I was shopping for a car in Florida. I currently live in Maryland and am looking to pay cash. The dealers website advertised the car I was interested in with a cash price of $22,516, including tags and fees. I called the salesperson, who I do not blame, and she called me back with an out-the-door price of more than $26,000!! I was told the internet pricing was missing some items. This is ridiculous and I would never do business with them!!

I actually went through the same problem as the previous comment with my Hyundai Sonata. I tried calling again yesterday to talk to a manager but front desk have advised me that they will get back to me. They never do. My Hyundai Sonata also went through several problems and they were unable to fix it. Not only that I have kids and the car would stop for no apparent reason in the middle of the Road. After 2 years of taking my vehicle here for maintenance to fix the problem, they were unable to find out what the problem was. Till this day my vehicle still does not work and I tried to pay for extended warranty but spend most of my money on a rental. we tried to trade the same car in but they refuse specifying that they will not take the vehicle because it does not drive while it was under warranty. I advised her that is the same condition they previously left it to me. I have noticed that a lot of people with one Stars is mostly about the maintenance and I agree. They literally dont care enough to solve the problem. Out of grown frustration of my vehicle not being Dependable enough to have my family commute in it. I will take my business elsewhere. At one point, my car literally stopped in the middle of the highway and I had to pull my five year old kid out of fear of another car colliding on my vehicle. It seems that most of the problems comes from maintenance, not the sales department. The sales department is fantastic and have always try to fix the problems that the maintenance department was unable to. I have absolutely no complain of the sales department, they have tried everything in order to accommodate me. If anything, I will most likely trade my car to a different Hyundai location solely because of the maintenance department. I was also not giving a lender and had to pay for my own rental ($300) even though my car was still under warranty. I will make sure to take my business elsewhere because of the negligence of the maintenance department. Me and my wife have saved enough money in order to buy a new car, it saddens me that we werent able to trust the maintenance department because we would have loved to do business with the sales department.Update: Hedgehog? Is this a joke because Im Jewish? I dont understand how endangering my family is funny. Its one thing if you find light of this issue but name calling and berating me because of my religious belief is absolutely uncalled for. Nobody has reached out to me just for an update.

Would rate a zero if I could. 2018 Elantra 40k miles, throws p2118 DTC no response from the accelerator. Car wont drive. Service center is supposed to open at 8a.m. on Sunday. Hours are posted on the door and On the voice recording. Got a ride there and there is nobody there, its closed and the back door is unlocked.Cant even arrange the rental. Unacceptable to have a throttle actuator failure in under 40k. Unacceptable they arent open during their posted hours. Unacceptable there is no emergency service line.

Both the Sales Associate (Marek Zima) and Finance Manager were great--they didnt beat around the bush/no nonsense/no surprises. We both are very happy with our purchase and are glad we went back to Hyundai for an upgrade after 8 years. Mark is a wonderful salesperson . . . Genuine, personable and professional. Bought a 2022 tucson and within a week the trunk stop open. Service department told me that I have to wait a week to get seen. I would suggest if you decide to buy a car from them, I would include getting a lawyer in the price.

Do not finance through Hyundai motor finance. When I traded my Elantra GT in I was owed a substantial refund. Hyundai acknowledges that I am due the money. First I was told 30 days to process it. After calling multiple times it changed to maybe up to 90 days. Now we are two weeks past 90 days and still no resolution.

My service appointment resulted in a $250 repair on my Kona. I have had Hyundai vehicles in my driveway for 5 years. We have never had any problem with rodents. Your service department stated that the wiring for my front collision system had to be replaced due to a rodent chewing on the wires. This is absolutely unbelievable. THIS WAS DUE TO DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WILL BEGIN TO LOOK FOR SIMILAR CASES BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS FRAUD AND I AM SURE THAT OTHER CASES LIKE THIS ARE HAPPENING. NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE HIGHLY TOUTED HYUNDAI WARRANTY.

I have actually purchased the vehicle here in 2016.Even though the sales transaction was very pleasant.The mechanical issues that this vehicle carry was dangerous and horrendous.Ive taking my vehicle to this location 12 times to get it fixed when it was under warranty.The service department did not know what the problem was to my vehicle but they have admitted that several Hyundai Sonata sport was going through the same problem and shifting in safe mode. This has become a reoccuring problem without resolutions. They even charge me for my rental with enterprises because the maintance manager thought i was being a burden for wanting to get my car fixed. I finaly decided to take my car to Gettel of Sarasota and they immediately was able to fix it. I decided to purchase my new car from them because they were fantastic and apologetic for the mistakes of this location. Me and my wife have just bought another car a g90 from the Sarasota location again and i dont see myself ever doing buisness with this location because everybody turned there head and pretended i didnt exist when a issue was present. They are nice and show hospitality when you are purchasing a vehicle but quickly they dont remember who you are when the vehicle they sold you is having mechanical issues . i drive 45 minutes out of my way to go to the Sarasota location and recommended you do the same. I promise if your car is going through problem save your time and go to Sarasota gettel because they truely care for you and not endager your family by randomly removing and replacing parts and hoping for the best.

Do not buy from any Gettel dealership. They are marking up SUVs by $5000 over MSRP. You can go to another Hyundai dealer and get same model for MSRP and no market adjustments. This should be illegal and when the car market returns to normal I hope people have read this and choose another dealer other than Gettel. If you like throwing money down the toilet then go to Gettel. If you want to save $5000, go elsewhere!!!!

I hadnt planned on buying a Hyundai actually I was just there to test drive a few vehicles but after I drove the Kona I fell in love. Once I decided on a vehicle my sales associate, Parker, was phenomenal in answering all the questions that my family and I had. He went above and beyond with his knowledge of the car and didnt withhold any information I might have needed. The dealership was able to work with me on a fair price for the car, monthly payments, etc. We were treated extremely well at Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood and I didnt hate my first car buying experience. :)

We purchased a Santa Fe from Gettle Hyundai of Lakewood this week and the car buying experience that many people dread was made extremely pleasant by our sales person Josh Murville. His easy going, no pressure approach was refreshing to say the least!Josh was very knowledgeable and took his time to point out all features and comparisons of similar vehicles of other Makes and Models. Which led us to this choice as the best one for us without compromising on any feature we were looking for. He even threw in a screwdriver! (Inside joke) Thank you Josh!
