What is with your courier pickup service occupying the disabled parking? This is the third time I have seen in as many weeks. Yesterday I brought this to notice of front desk cashier Umesh and he responded with being very busy and not able to see. I told him, if you are providing service then all it takes is to look over your left shoulder and inquire with courier if blocking disabled spot or other cars. Yesterday (02Oct21 about 6:13 PM, it was some Uber pickup, male). Please Apnabazaar, do the necessary so that others who are not that privileged in physical ability can also use your store.

Great selection of products albeit at quite high prices in comparison to the actual prices. Clerk was nice and helpful. My only complaint is some things are listed at lower prices than they are at the register and on the receipt. The Gopi Mango Yogurt Drink for example has a tag for around $5 but it rings up for $8.59. I suggest doing a bit of an audit to ensure prices match the bill. Next time, when Im not fasting and easily angered, Ill point it out in hopes of getting the actual price listed. I like the online shopping, pick up and delivery option as well. Great selections.

Love the food. The dosas are huge and delicious. The chicken and vegetable biryani is spicy but full of flavor. The selection of Indian snacks is great, I usual find what I’m looking for.

I am so excited to have found this store. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for some hard to find spices. The staff is both knowledgeable and helpful. The hot food is also delicious.

Good place to find all things Indian. Fresh, produce, grains, Pooja items, cosmetics, frozen, ready to eat, snacks, and a separate section for organic foods. The employees are doing a good job during pandemic times keeping it safe and open. I appreciate the drive up option for shopping.

On Thursday 10/15 I was in the store and purchased a few items.They charged me $2.99 for Shahi rajma when the price printed on the box said $1.99. Once I paid the bill I realized that I was being overcharged and pointed it out to the cashier. He paid the difference in cash back to me but not one bit of apology or saying of sorry.God only know how many more people they have cheated by overcharging on how many more items as most of them rarely crosscheck when the pay for the items in the end.

Great store along with the restaurant. The food is good... cleanliness not so much. Their goat biryani is the best you can get in Portland.

It is fairly large Indian store but it is in no way the largest. The Indian pickle selection is small and they have less spice mix boxes. They have so many snack options though.

Good shopping for a variety of vegetarian and vegan items as well as great food in store. Be prepared to have a meal and take home some for another time. We reached in tome before the mid day crowd.

Clean store, super well organized and very friendly staff. The restaurant is fantastic too with lots of choices of snacks and full meals. Its our store of choice despite 4-5 Indian grocery stores nearby.

As noticed in the below post, i also have brought the jaggery and when opened it has moisture & wet and smell bad.It is totally spoiled, !!! I have attached the pics !!Please be vigilant when you are buying products which is totally covered with clothes and cant even guess how the item would be inside.

Been here for the first time, it is certainly more spacious and neatly stocked than Indian Connection nearby, but the pricing was higher when we compared a few things. We ordered papdi chat and noodles. Papdi chaat barely had any flavor in it, and was topped with a lot of lemon juice. It wasn’t very bad, but it felt like someone has prepared it under pressure. Vegetable noodles were certainly not good. They were tasteless I would say, but the quantity was huge for $9.

Ordered lunch at the cafe. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes and it took 45+ minutes. This should have been communicated with me. When I get the order home, half of it was missing. Never again. The quality has slipped greatly. Never again.

We came the day before Diwali and the place was buzzing. It was our first time visiting since moving here and I was so nostalgic of the Apna Bazaar back in our other city. Found everything we needed and so much more, cant wait to return.

The items here arent fresh on groceries especially Jaggery ( 5 Kg) is totally spoiled, It smells odd and is pretty old.they dont even refund for the items where we cant even see or smell the items.

Veggies and groceries are over priced and not very fresh. 3 yrs ago if I was asked to write a review it would be completely opposite of what im feeling now. Back in 2015-16 the food was extremely yummy and when it comes to Groceries and Veggies they are quite fresh and reasonably priced with a lot of variety. As of now the number of veggies can count on fingers. I dont feel like frequenting to the store anymore.

The Lunch Thali plate was fantastic! Great variety of dishes and generous tastes of each dish. The staff was friendly and even though they were busy, the food came out in a reasonable time.There is also an authentic and modern grocery attached.

Its a nice store...with fresh produce and almost everything which u need in an indian kitchen...they have a small cafeteria as well which serves indian snacks...and they are Yumm! ...also there staff is very warm and friendly...

Horrible, careless and unhygienic service!!!!I had a very bad experience with my recent order. I got an open frozen package and upon calling the owner he agreed to refund back and asked me to send it back with the same delivery person. Upon following up about the refund the owner is denying about the refund and not even bothered to follow up on my request. By far the worst and irresponsible service I have ever experienced from apna bazaar.The merchant in the first place he didnt agree to take back and after mentioning that I cant accept a opened frozen food which is unhygienic and is a careless service the merchant is not even sorry for the negligence and now not even willing to refund or follow up on it.And yeah now we dont have the product and lost the money as well.cheers!!!

Took a very long time for one meal to be ready. I was almost done with mine before my wifes was ready. Dont order the buttered chicken. The food was filling with big portion. The spice over wrote the flavor. We also had a gift card they didnt honor because it was too old. It was the reason we went!! Not likely to to back but it was very popular so they must be doing something right. Just not for us.

Aapna Bazaar is easily one of the best Indian stores in Portland metro area, both for Indian groceries and restaurants for Indian delicacies, well maintained, cleanliness, especially during this pandemic this is the only Indian store following all mandated rules and regulations, store properly marked, six feet distancing, masks and other precautions.

Very good selection of the spices I use. The deli is very convenient as well. Decent selection on menu. The level of English comprehension with some of the staff is low. This is not a big issue unless you really need some critical information such as the ingredients in the sweets or menu items. I live fairly far away but do try to make it a stop if I can fit it in.

Long lines for the food so order ahead.

I have shopped here for several years and find the place extremely clean, well stocked and the staff are very knowledgeable. The prices are generally fair and noticeably less than buying basic Indian spices in a supermarket.

Clean and consistently good quality products. They may not give you the best prices but they will provide excellent quality.

Im still a novice when it comes to my experiences with Indian cuisine, but I was really impressed with the flavors, the portions and the price. On the grocery side I was also really impressed with the inventory. Im looking forward to going back to try all their food options!

They serve halal meat. Their pastries are really good. Our all time favorite is perhaps the chicken 65 dosa.

This place is divided into two sections. There is a supermarket area with a lot of great Indian products, bread, vegetables and spices. In the other area is a restaurant. The food is great and teasty. Sometimes, the services is a bit slow. However, the prices are reasonable and food quality is good.

The store was easy to navigate and spacious. The shelves were stocked neatly making it easy to find stuff. The staff were very helpful.. one person came up to me and asked if I needed help when I looked a bit lost. Only negative was a slow checkout process. It was not slower than the comparable Indian stores but slower than it could be.

I am a big fan of Indian food. I had the lunch sample plate. Lots of great flavors, but it was really spicy. Be prepared.The restaurant is located in a business park. There is also an attached Indian bakery I intend to visit next time.

Groceries are okay. I found them a little on the higher side but I havent been to others in the area.Really disappointed with the food. Samosas and chhole bhature were out one hour after they open! Ended up buying chhole Puri. Puri was basically like tasteless papad and chhole had no flavor. Usually I have had a decent experience with food anywhere on average but this was below average. Hope they can improve.

I like the food here but recently had a very bad experience while trying to get food to go from here. Basically I had brought plastic boxes from home to get food from this place in order to save on plastic waste but the guy at the cashiers place just refused to use the boxes and said we will only use our own plastic boxes. Which is a very bad way to look at waste consumption.

Good restro with grocery store. People are always flocking for the restaurant and bakery items. They have good collection of Indian snacks and sweets with them.

A good place for purchasing Indian stuff. Pretty much the same price you would pay for the Indian goods at the nearby places. Comparatively bigger and has a restaurant inside the store which is good for quick grabs or evening snacks.

Good Indian store they pretty much have everything, there is a scope for Important in terms of customer service rest all ok, this is common for most of the Indian stores. They are expensive but can’t complain as most of the Indian stores are similar in Beaverton, Hillsboro and nearby locations, I am assuming that because of the rents they have to pay. Normally billing is done much quicker. They have ample amount of parking place which is on brighter side. Overall my experience was good.

Hands-down the best Indian chaat Ive had in the pdx metro area. Coming from the bay area, where I had wonderful Indian food in Berkeley, Santa Clara and Fremont, this place holds up. Always tasty, great selection. Very spicy! Not toned down for American palates. Also a wonderful grocery stuff.

Good prices, okay assortment, decent food. The reason for the rating is one employee at the store whose attitude was horrendous. It seemed like he was doing us a favour by serving us food. Hated the service by this one person. The two ladies at the register were pleasant and friendly - but i truly disliked the dudes service. First person i have seen in Portland with amazingly bad attitude and service. Wont be visiting this store again.

I went with my team from work, which is mostly Indian. The team ordered family style and the biryani (chicken and lamb) was very good, although youve got to be careful of the chicken bones. Pepper chicken was outstanding. Im not a big fan of curry, so I stayed away from that. Extremely busy, thanks in no small part to the very large high tech Indian community in the area. According to my teammates, this is pretty authentic Indian informal dining.

I had Goat Biryani Good quality for the price! I really enjoyed the traditional Indian food experience. I just hope they put more meat in my plate to match the quantity of rice provided, Definitely recommend this place!

Store for Indian spices and condiments. Good customer service. Very clean and well organised counters. They are the first Indian grocery store to carry Organic condiments and spices! They also have counter for Indian style sweets and pastries. Sweets are importanted from Washington state and few made by locals. Dont think they have any sweets on the menu that is freshly made at their kitchen. Pastries like cakes are made in their bakery unit. Fresh Vegetables are imported and not local or organic.

Clean Indian Groceries, I love the young and energetic enthusiastic staff, eagerly waiting to serve you with a smile. They do have some Organic Dals but popular ones in small quantities are not on shields! They have quite a good selection and I will visit again. BTW, they also have a decent food-restaurant, before coming, please check kitchen timing, which is not same as grocery store.

I m changing my stars from 3 to 1, I wish it had 0 stars . Twice in a row they fooled me, I ordered goat biryani to go and upon coming home I found there was no meat. Just rice and half boiled egg. Since this had happened last time I reminded the lady about last experience she assured me usual meat that’s supposed to be in biryani but to my dismay and disappointment I was fooled again. I feel cheated and lied to, paid $15.99 for bowl of rice and half boiled egg. I m not recommending this place to my work folks any more like I use to on contrary I will suggest to keep away.

I like that they carry organic dhals/beans, some organic spices and some seasonal organic vegetables. I dont buy packaged ready-made food, so cant comment there. But, I would like Apna Bazaar to have a paper bag option to carry groceries and to start encouraging the mostly Indian clientele to bring their own bags.
