Although the front can easily be passed on south 1st- don’t! No watered down coffee here, their teas, coffee, and blended drinks are flavorful. If you go early enough don’t pass up on the locally made pastries either. The parking lot can fill up fast, but the street parking on South Park is perfect for running in.There is one particular employee I’d like to sing my praises to. A shorter woman with short dark curly hair works the counter and has the best energy! She actually makes the coffee run in the AM fun! You’ll know if you order with her. Try anything with moon milk!

Whenever I can find a local coffee house, Id always choose that over the big chains. Summer Moon did not disappoint. I ordered the Wintermoon Latte which was an iced drink and it was really good. It was creamy and delicious with the right amount of sweetness for my taste but you still taste that the coffee base had some strength to it without any bitter after taste. Only reason for the 4 star is their sad pastry selection, they had one muffin and one donut on display. Maybe because it was already the afternoon when I visited but the coffee was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Moon milk. A super sweet creamy milk use in the hot latte (summer moon) or iced version (winter moon). Half sweet= half moon latte.Half sweet was still pretty sweet for me. But worth a try! The baristas were sweet and the drinks were made at lightning speed.No cash accepted.

I ordered the autumn iced latte and it was phenomenal! This place was consistently busy so I recommend ordering online or preparing to wait in line! There is an outdoor patio that could definitely use some umbrellas or something for shade (please!).

Out of all the summer moons I’ve been to this was the worst one. Every single one of them had a nonchalant attitude. Not to mention I had a whole fly in my drink and the young lady just grabbed it when I came back and didn’t say nothing. And please clean up in here . Can’t walk because of boxes everywhere. Go to north locations, they’re better, friendly, and welcoming.

Summer Moon Coffee is great! When friends and family come into town I usually make it a point to take them. Summer Moon does sweet coffee very well but has a lot of other options as well. I prefer to go to Summer Moon for my Go-To over Starbucks.This particular location has a decent amount of seating indoors and outdoors. It is usually well maintained as well.Would recommend!

Great coffee, worst possible service in Austin. Takes forever even when you order ahead, show up on time for when it says your coffee will be ready, never is ready, wait an extra 20 minutes, regularly mess up your order, and then make you feel like its your fault.Other locations are great. Management here and staff are the worst. Continually the most frustrating customer experience in town.

Good coffee. Good environment. Nice staff. I would only mention that they only take card (which seemed to be a problem for a bunch of people that came in while I was there) and that their parking lot is a bit strange. Other than that all awesome.

The service here was so friendly and the coffee was amazing! I had an iced dairy free global latte and added lavender 🤤I went for a casual first date lol and it was a great intimate but casual vibe. Was a bit busy with people coworking, and looks like a great place for it.

I want to clarify, this is hands-down the best coffee that you could have in Austin Texas. Seriously there is nothing better, but the partially poor review is due to the employees at this location. I’ve been coming here on and off for the last three years and for some reason there’s something about THIS location in particular where you will occasionally run across unwarranted assholery. I don’t know if it’s just a part of the “vibe” that the owners are trying to cultivate at this spot, but every other location is great, the employees are always super respectful & nice - but here? Expect some chick named Chelsea (?) to get mouthy at 9am on a Sunday for no reason. However, if you can ignore that nonsense, everything else is pretty great; if not, try the other 6+ locations👍

Disappointed in customer service. I placed an online order for 3 bags of coffee that was never delivered. There is no option to a choose shipping method, they use USPS. Their response was that when USPS confirms a delivery, there is nothing that can be done on their end. USPS says the delivery was made, but not to me. Now I’m out the costs for goods I never received. Love the coffee, but not the customer service.

I’m this place came highly recommend and I cannot say it was a let down! A vast coffee menu, outdoor and in doors seating, speedy delivery time.

Coming back to Austin after 5 years of not having a Summer Moon Latte, Summer Moon is still my #1 favorite, probably in all the states! Theres really nothing that compares to the smooth smokey flavor of the Velvet Blaze... which is their signature blend, and my particular favorite of all the beans they sell. I am so in love with their coffee beans. I can get them shipped to my home when I am not in Austin so that keep me happy. I would be much happier though, if I had some Moon-milk! ☕ 🥛

Amazing little coffee shop. Small parking lot. Friendly staff. Wide selection on the menu. Had the autumn latte and it was amazing. $2 for a tea, about $5 for a medium latte. Reasonably priced. They do have free WiFi and a fair amount of seating. Credit cards only at this time.

Coffees always great I get the 16 oz half moon with oat and coconut milk, be sure to make it kids temp as non dairy milks aren’t thick enough to withstand the heat.

This coffee place intrigued me quite a bit. Its called wood-fired because they roast the coffee beans that way. They have a special moon milk and when I checked with them the person was kind enough to give us samples. The description says that it is made up of seven ingredients. It was extremely delicious and very sweet - would qualify to be melted ice-cream.

Great service! Id never been before and the girl at the counter was so helpful in walking me through how the moon milk works and gave lots of recommendations based on what I normally drink.

Absolutely love this coffee and interesting menu names. I will admit it was a bit confusing the first couple of times I went, but once you understand the language and how they build their coffees you will see how many customizations you are able to do.

The 1/2 Moon is my go to drink. It has this amazing Moon Milk that consists of 7 secret delicious ingredients that consist of rich, sweet and creamy goodness! The unique coffee beans are wood fired with Texas Oak in one-of-a-kind brick hearth. It actually takes three people to custom hand roast their coffee beans. You can thank me later. This creamy goodness is incredibly delicious.

Cool coffee shop with a unique menu in additional to traditional coffee shop items. If youre into unique sugary type drinks I strongly suggest this spot! The service was quick, friendly, and the place is dog friendly with a patio as well as places to work indoors. They have their Wi-Fi posted around the shop and its ease of use let me work with no issues. The prices are seriously affordable! The cold brew tasted a little watered down, but it gave me the boost I needed nevertheless. My gripes: The indoor seating is poor. The bench areas they have to work are extremely uncomfortable. I find park benches light years ahead in comfortability. Your next option are tables that are awkwardly positioned in the drink pick-up area or partially positioned in the line. Secondly, the parking is very awkward, small, and potentially dangerous. There are a few spots that may be difficult to navigate through.

What can I say, I love summermoon coffee.I have even been told that I should work for them because I am always promoting 😆I gift the velvet blaze coffee beans, the oak roasted candle, the tumblers...everything. my coffee corner looks like a personal summermoon.I get the horchata chai for my kids and the strawberry poptarts. Delicious!I love their hot chocolate and their 1/2 wintermoon is my go to, 1/2 summermoon latte during the mornings.Always ask the barista what they recommend depending on what you like and you wont be disappointed.#MoonMilkForTheWin

A great place to work and study! There’s always room inside or outside when I go. Plus, they always have outlets available which I’ve had such a hard time getting to at other coffee shops. I do wish they had a better snack/food/pastry menu. I’ve gone in the afternoon and they’ve let me know they were out of pastries, but that’s understandable. Their coffee and tea menu is awesome and I’m still working my way through it, but have never been disappointed in the selection. I’ll definitely keep visiting this place and recommending it to friends and family!

Since I moved to Austin years ago, Ive been told to come to Summer Moon Coffee. Well I just moved 5 minutes away and OMG why was I holding back?! Since my first time here, Ive been going back again and again for that Moon Milk. Top coffee shops in my book.

I’ve been to a lot of Summer Moon locations and must say — this one is the worst. Drip coffee here is yuck, place itself is dirty with lots of boxes and other irrelevant to a coffee shop stuff inside laying around. Comparing to their other locations, it’s not even close to being cosy… I would say I even felt unsafe and wanted to leave ASAP… the barista’s were friendly, but overall the place left a bad impression, so I’m not coming back.

I love the coffee here, the Summer Moon and Winter Moon lattes are great if you like your coffee decently sweet. They also have options to make it mire sweet or less sweet than the standard which is different and lovely. Cheerful staff and good coffee makes this a staple of sluggish mornings.

Seems like every time I visit this location, the drinks come out wrong. Its location specific- the Mobile Moon (Manchaca) and Buda locations are always consistent, and MUCH easier to get in/out of.

Try the moon milk, its sweet so they got options if you prefer less sweet!

I deliver. I ask for a carrier bc I have transport these drinks. Then I have to carry the drinks, my phone my keys and a lot of times deal with door codes, elevators and not to mention, the coffee are most times hot...very hot. The last time I was there they were burning my hand thru the cups. And really, it wasnt the reasoning that got me it was being dismissed when I asked. You know we are delivery, I would think some discretion could be used. Just me.Dont dare ask for a drink carrier :/

I have been going to Summermoon for a while now and love the recipes and have had good experiences in the past. I recently discovered the Keto Bravo due to my diet restrictions and prefer to have it on ice.Today I went in to order the Keto Bravo on ice, and the manager named Sarah was running the register. She made a huge deal about the fact that it was on ice, saying that corporate was strict about following rules and that drink is not supposed to be made that way, and there are absolutely no exceptions for custom drinks. She was waving her index finger around and pointing at the other employees, raising her voice, saying that they arent supposed to be adding ice to the drink and that she is going to have a correctional meeting with them to ensure that I am unable to ever order that drink again with ice. She stated that this time she will allow it, but not to expect it again. Than proceeded to rudely thank me for alerting her of the problem. Dismissing my concern and projecting a negative attitude and tone, clearly upset. I did not feel welcome.This experience was so abrasive to my friend that came with me for the first time, upsetting her and never wanting to go back to this place, for how we were treated. I also dont appreciate being treated this way when asking to add ice to a drink.I wanted to bring light to this particular manager, and have a resolution. I mainly want to have a Keto Bravo on ice, it taste so good! Though if my business is not appreciated, i will take it elsewhere.

Got the Iced Almond Mocha Moon. It was alright.We actually came in to pick up some tacos only to discover they dont sell them after 12pm. It was 12:45. Understandable. But then they turned around and threw out roughly 25 tacos into the recycle bin. You dont throw food in the recycle bin.Also, what a waste. Large numbers of people cannot afford eating yet they just toss the food they cant sell. They should do better in finding an alternative solution. And at the very least, stop tossing food in the recycle bin.Socially distanced inside though, staff was robotic but probably functioned well enough.

The nitro cold brew was delicious. I will definitely be back to get another one. The coffee shop is a bit on the dark lighting vibe. Cool place to chill but not enough light to read a book or do work on your laptop.

I am a regular customer because I enjoy summermoons coffee, however I no longer shop at this store due to continued incorrect orders. The last 3 times I have placed an order via the app, my order has been incorrect. I specifically put that I have an allergy to milk and requested oat milk and received whole milk in my drink. Further other drinks were incorrect on being hot/iced and incorrect amounts of moon milk. Normally a happy customer but tired of spending a lot of money ordering drinks to not be able to consume the drink I specifically ordered.

Cute little shop hidden away with an outdoor seating area. There are a few tables outdoors and plenty of seating inside. I was disappointed by how sweet their drinks were. I went to taste the fire roasted coffee theyre known for.

The line for this location was really long, but it’s worth it for the coffee. They do a good job of making sure everyone is wearing a mask and staying 6 feet apart, despite the high volume of people. If you’ve never gone, you gotta try the mocha moon at least once! I don’t know what they put in there, but it’s delicious!

Coffee is naturally sweet (no extra sugar, cream, honey). The meat-free tacos are small but fresh. Would definitely recommend and go back but would get 2 or 3 tacos instead of 1 to really fill up.

There is no where to wash hands or go to restroom.They serve food and coffee but do not have a public restroom. They said it was because of COVID, but there were about 15 people there in a small space.City of Austin requires restaurants with 20 seats to offer restrooms to clients. They have 20 seats available on the premises. No tables blocked off or separated for COVID.Again, COVID concerns might be legit, but they were not enforcing 6ft of separation between tables. People of different parties sitting right next to each other.It seemed like they closed restrooms to public because they didnt want to deal with handing out the restroom key, but they are still open to filling their space with people.Currently they are reaping the benefits of staying open during a pandemic, but closing off services to save time and energy. They are taking extra precautions for staff, saving money and time on not having to offer facilities, but NOT taking any extra care to help out patrons or customers.Of course you should protect your employees, but you should also protect your customers if you want to stay open during a pandemic.

I always have a bad experience when I visit this location. The staff is surly and seems to have a problem answering typical customer service questions without a snide attitude. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because they have a good product.
