Ive been coming here for years. This is my favorite craft store. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Some of them have been here for years. Josh, is an awesome manager and hes been there for years. He keeps the store in tip top shape, and he knows most of the regular customers by name. Hes one of the nicest people Ive ever met. Come in for the crafts and new ideas stay, and get to know the people that work there. If you enjoy creating and crafting all kinds of projects for kids and adults then stop by, Joanns!

I give 5 stars for employees and 0 stars for Joann corporate. I shop this store frequently. The staff is always cordial even though they are overworked and understaffed. I was there last Saturday and again this morning. Again, understaffed and employees working way too hard. I asked if they were hiring and was told yes. Ive often thought I would enjoy working at Joann, so I did some inquiry and investigation of pay scale. I was absolutely appalled, taken aback, and ultimately angry that the pay is so low. Even as low as $10 per hour!! I made that much in 1980 at 18 years old and no experience in retail. How is this acceptable in 2021? Especially in this tumultuous, expensive environment during a pandemic. No wonder youre understaffed. Shame on you. Im considering not patronizing Joann any more. Please, take care of the people who are taking care of you Joann management!

Ignored by the staff cutting fabric the entire time. Even as she cut my fabric she ignored me to talk to a friend and another coworker and then proceeded to wave me off without my ticket to pay.

I stopped by the physical store an hour ago to purchase items. I am a regular and go pretty often. The lady at the front checking people out, Lisa, was very rude. She kept cutting me off, practically yelling at me, among other things. This is the first time that I’ve felt personally attacked and disrespected in this store. The items I purchase are unfortunately not at any of the other locations, and I cannot purchase online, as it always deducts from my account even though the website says “denied” immediately. I have plenty of funds in my account to cover my expenses. So, finger pointing combined with blatant disrespect is not the appropriate way to behave. The goal is customer service and nothing less. I even held myself together and told Lisa thank you (as well as have a nice day) and she in turn ignored me. I asked to speak to the manager politely and the manager Taylor refused to come back to the front to speak with me and stated that FedEx was there and she was assisting. I’m pretty sure they get their trucks on Thursdays and not at 5:30pm on Memorial Day. This is not a reflection of the store manager Josh, he is a ray of sunshine and it greatly missed at this location since he is not there physically anymore. The assistant manager at the South Austin location Tony is very nice and helpful as well. The Mopac location needs a lot of help with treating customers respectively especially when they are towards you. The two stars given are for Josh and Toni at the South Austin location. Zero stars for Mopac.

This is a fairly good Joann’s. Fabric Selection is decent but they really need to quit being so cheap with the cutting table scissors. Getting a little tired of raggy slightly crooked cuts.People are nice so that’s a plus.

So, normally I have no problems with Joann Fabric. But. The management needs to either schedule the employees for more hours or raise wages so they can attract more employees. A store of this size seemed to have three people who were scheduled to be working during peak hours. Im sure there was a fourth over by custom framing, but for real. One person on the registers might work during the afternoon on a weekday, but the weekends need to be scheduled as if people are going to come in to shop. All of the employees seemed very justifiably frustrated, and Im sure they dont get paid enough for that.

Today was not the best day for me to be at JoAnn. The store was super busy and the bolts of fabric seemed ransacked. I felt claustrophobic. This was the first time I had been there and left without buying anything. The few employees I came in contact with were friendly and polite. ☺️

Just finished shopping, and watching only 2 cashiers....and over 20 people in line. Both cashiers didnt seem to know what they were doing. No rush to help anyone, or call for additional help.

So much crafting items gotta get the crafting lvl up 😅 but yes they have so much to choose from

I dont come to north Austin ever, but my best friend took me here and lm glad we made the trip here! The place was spacious and clean. Everything was very easy to find, and the staff was very friendly and helpful! I learned so much while I was there. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. I easily found what I wanted and then some!

I arrived at Jo Ann @ the Arbor Walk Shoppimg center around 8:45 PM. I was looking for Upholstery for my RV seats. There was a lady at the cutting station whom seemed ready to go home for the night. Refused to help me find fabric and once i picked out the roll i wanted and i carried it to the cutting station the lady turns me away. We dont cut after 8:55 PM. I said really? Long story short went to the register with the entire roll. Asked for a manager and Jennifer, the new manager, was eager to please and had no problem cutting my fabric for me. She was super helpful and my wife and I are very pleased with our purchases and with the outstanding service that Jennifer and Sean offered. Thank you Jennifer and Sean. And to the lady at the cutting station, idk, you could use an attitude adjusting.

This location shorted all my fabric cuts by two inches. A yard was 34”. 5/8 yard was 21”. If I ever go again, I’m bringing my own tape measure and verifying.They also didn’t have everything the website said they ought to. When I asked about it, they blamed the online inventory being wrong.That means this location shorts customers AND is missing inventory. This implies to me that there might be something going on behind the scenes a district manager should look into.

I usually dont post reviews on here. I drove way out of the way to come here and the staff was unbelievably rude. I feel like I dont have any crazy expectations about customer service.... But they were literally so rude that I decided to put down the items I had selected and leave. Really really not nice.

Love this Joann. I always come here to buy accessories for my product pictures. They have plenty of stuff that match any design or style.

First time shopping here. Had no idea where anything was or how the fabric system worked, but the employees were extremely helpful and helped me every step of the way, while recommending Products that could be of use to me based on the fabric I chose. Definitely know where I’m coming next time I have a fat wad of cash and a burst of creativity.

Honestly the quality in product and customer service has declined rapidly, the last time I went, I was checking out and had an issue so I asked for a manager and the cashier kept saying he was the manager before finally calling the actual manager. I probably wont be back anytime soon, its not worth it when I can find materials so much cheaper online and not have to deal with being treated like that

Poor customer service by a guy wearing golden colored mask in the cutting section. We needed help with understanding how cutting of memory foam sheets work and he was very rude in answering our questions and asked us to go get the sheets first for cutting before answering our questions. I dont know his name but wanted to complain about him to store manager but wasnt able to find one around. He should learn how to be patient when customers ask questions.

They used to have a lot of fabric selections and prices were reasonable, but now limited selection and over prices for the fabric. You have much better selection from web. I wish Interior Fabric on Burnet was still open. They had many selection for upholstery fabric.

Found a great, breathable material for some sound absorption panels Im building. Superb service!

Really good collection of colors if you are looking for fabric paints. One of the clerks were nice to help me find the aisle. Might come back for other craft items in the future!

I was pleasantly surprised by the huge selection of fabrics but what really stood out was the large selection of crafting goods. Priced a little high however they always have great coupons that more than make up for that. I would highly recommend the Mopac store. Largest selection, clean store, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I love Joann fabric and Crafts store. They have a large assortment of beads and findings. I make jewelry so this is my go to store. Also love to embroidery and they have everything I need. The manager is terrific and employees are very friendly and always helpful

This is a very large and spacious store, with every crafty thing available. The lady who helped with the fabric was very sweet and even helped us locate some difficult to find items before getting off shift. The bathrooms were surprisingly very clean (thank you).

I love this company. Definitely download the app, there are always coupons available to make your purchase a bit more affordable. Plus seasonal items go on sale early so you can get a deal in time to actually create something for an upcoming event.

Yes, it was snowing when we went to Joanns. And yes, there was one other customer and several employees. Regardless, the store was clean and the two employees who helped us were extremely friendly and helpful. Before this though, the lady and I have never had a poor experience here.

This place was great.They had a little bit of everything.I was shocked at the amount of cake supplies they had.

Luckily they ALWAYS have freaking sales. We got here and lo and behold, JoAnns is having a sale on flameless candles AND Shepards hooks. My wedding is coming up soon and our evening wedding is now going to be LIT courtesy of JoAnns fabrics. Dont thing they only sell fabric. No. They sell magic. They sell stuff you didnt ever think you needed. They sell stuff I hope no one actually ever buys (see image of Flushing Frenzy below). Get ready to spend $300, deeply discounted.

All their fabrics are easily accessible and to have it measured and rang up is as easy as pulling a number from counter and continue looking around until your number is called. Its better then standing in line waiting like cattle. All the employees are very accommodating and polite.

I called because I was having some problems with an online order. With everyone making masks some fabrics are in short supply. I was transferred to a manager who answered all of my questions and helped track down info on my fabric. She decided to hold some for me in the shipment due to come in that night. She left notes for other staff members to make sure the fabric was set aside for me. I was able to pick up my fabric the next day (which was a breeze). One of the women I spoke to on the phone (Melanie) even came to my car to greet me personally which was such a nice touch.They even made sure to stack a coupon on top of the sale price which gave me a huge discount.Yall have a customer for life!

This store is great, a wide selection, clean and well organized. The clerk even helped me access a coupon to save me more money while I was checking out. I will definitely be frequenting this store regularly!

I order my fabric and I pay over 617$ for it right away after 2 weeks waiting for shopping they send me email to let me know my order cancel and is take them 3 weeks to send my money back after 4-6 emails to they costumer service

Ordered 2 yards of online fabric for a headboard. The online description said it was 67 but in reality it was only 54. Went to Arbor Walk store on Mopac in Austin, Texas to have issue resolved. Was met by Gloria at the front who was an absolute model employee and quickly understood the issue and said I could have a new fabric piece cut because of the width discrepancy. Gloria told me to go back to the cutting area and the ladies would be more than capable to help me. Well, I ended up with a young lady named Avery who was very rude and kept telling me she couldnt make the fabric any wider and that she didnt understand what I needed. She kept cutting me off and seemed to be bothered and unwilling to figure out how much extra fabric I would need for my project. After much back and forth, she finally cut a new piece of fabric (4 yards) and gave me a ticket for the full 4 yards without any discount for the width discrepancy. Luckily, Gloria again saved the day. Even though I still had to pay a little more, than I should have (if the fabric was the correct width as advertised online) I was just happy to finally get out of there with the amount of fabric that I needed. It was not at all a good experience.

Such helpful employees. I was looking for something really unusual (I thought) but the lady I spoke to instantly knew what I wanted as well as specifically where to find it within a huge store. Impressive customer service.

I guess you have to be a Mom or a Grandma (or bang cymbals together repeatedly) to get any assistance in this store......2 floor employees walked right by me without offering any help (1 of them 2 times).....Took me about 20 minutes to find everything I needed, when it should have only taken about 5 mins.*The girl at the register was really fast & friendly though

Just a heads up. I was at the N. Mopac store this afternoon (Sunday) between 2:00 and 3:30. There were very few people, which was great. At checkout, however, there were over 12 people in line and one cashier working. I felt very unsafe given the COVID situation.

Stood in the checkout line for 19 min. Yes I timed it once I realized we werent moving 😆 I was 3rd in line with legit 15 people behind me. There were 2 people checking out patrons. The lady behind me actually called the store to request some back up at the registers! I get being understaffed...totally. But there were several other team members walking around sweeping and stocking. I wasnt as upset as others were, but it was quite excessive seeing as the line was at a stand still for those 19 min like 😳 Could have called for help and eased the problem.

Joanns usually has the notions I need for my sewing business. The sewing area staff are always helpful and friendly. The cashiers are patient and willing to process all coupons. Josh, the store manager is friendly, helpful and responsive. My only wish is that they would carry more high end fabrics in decor and fashion fabrics.

So glad they are stocking there yarn like they used to. Missed the variety for a little bit. Now that this has happened( covid ) most of the associates are quit nicer. Not sure what exactly happened but most of the sour attitude is gone. But I love my JOANNS store. Glad their still open.😊

Good app and coupons, staff was good. They were already nearly out of Halloween fabric, which is wild considering its only August. Maybe its harder to stock cuz of the Rona? IDK I still like them.

I went to pick up my online order using curbside pick up. Unfortunately they were having difficulty locating my order. One employee came out after a few minutes and informed me of the problem. She stated that even the manager was trying to figure out where it was placed after it had been cut and logged in the computer as complete. After a few more minutes, the manager arrived next to my car with a very generous solution. I am beyond pleased of the amazing customer service. Thank you, you made my weekend.

We always love going to Joanns. The clerks that cut the fabric are always nice and helpful. I ALWAYS use the app and so pretty much always get at least 40% off on one item. This time, the app gave me about 6 or 7 relevant coupons. My wife gets giddy over the massive amount of fabrics. Plus we can pick up other decor items while there.

I really like this Joanns. Its really close to my house and the employees have always been friendly, engaging, and interested in what I am working on with my random assortment of crafting items that I buy.

Good selections, it has varieties of fabrics and cushion but price compares to hobby lobby we found fabrics bit more expensive since hobby lobby has 30% off every other week.

I went in to pick up an online order and it all went down so smoothly. I was worried it would be jam packed and no one would be wearing masks.... but this location has all employees wearing a mask and most importantly have been courteous, respectful and kind.In times like these, I do appreciate the measures they are taking meanwhile keeping everyones spirits up.Also, customers are very good with social distancing and wearing face masks. Didnt see a single person without a covering.

Not to mention all the coupons you get when you sign up to get them (highly recommend doing that if you havent!). Hands down the best place to get your craft stuff. Their selection is amazing! We go there for yarn (for crochet), jewelry making stuff, and fabric.

I always have good experiences at Joanns. But today it was an excellent experience. Looking for a trim for a dress and the lady at the fabric cutting station helped me. She recommended a few selections. I ended up with something I didnt think of. Very excited for my project. Went to the register and the lady was awesome! This was a good day. Got a project to work on and saved money. Thank you guys!!!

Very nice place to shop. They have a wide variety of different sewing and decorating items to use. I loved the fact that I could save major cash by ordering the items I wanted online and picking it up at the store. The only problem was I found out they had a lot items I wanted or needed and I purchased more than I planned to while picking up my orders.

I love Joann stores period. I went here because it was a bigger Joanns than my store in CC. They had professionals there to sell the fancier sewing machines and have a HUGE fabric section. At the time I was there an elementary school age girl was having a birthday party with friends! It was so sweet. Also they had a framing department. It was a Sunday and packed...Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays...people were definitely getting their best benefit from one day sales and coupons. Never go to Joanns without a coupon.

Great staff, but the poor place looks a little ravaged! Its almost as if everyone ran in there for cover and it has not recovered. However, the bathrooms and older, but are extremely clean!

I could go broke so easy in this store! I love it all! Dont know how to do near all the crafts but love learning new things😆 Areas were clean & well kept!

Friendly staff, but didnt have what I was looking for (large pieces of coloured card). This would certainly be a first stop for fabrics though.

Ive forgotten how much I love this place. Walking around, it was difficult not to purchase extra fabrics which I dont really need. The variety is what makes it so appealing. After visiting four other fabric stores, I was pleased to finally find what I needed.The staff were all on point and knowledgeable even in a weekday evening. The cashier even made sure I used a coupon.I have to say I felt like a kid again and an excited for the next time I need to visit.

So Happy they finally gave fabric in the store again.
