This dealership practices false advertising. They list prices on their website only to change them when you enter the dealership. They make promises in emails and than go back on them in person. They play stupid games meant to confuse costumers rather than be straight forward about their pricing. During negotiations, we were unhappy with there current offer, so they remove Tax from the deal, saying we can pay it ourselves later. Removing tax from the current dealing doesnt lower the price in any way. We still have to pay the tax at some point. They treat you like you are a fool. Go anywhere else but here.

I had a great experience buying a Santa Fe SUV at this dealership. Marlon Wells was my sales person and he was extremely attentive and helpful from the very first text messages and phone calls we exchanged to the appointment the next day. He set me up with Elvis in the finance department who answered all of my questions and we got the ball rolling. The dealership worked with my trade-in and I got an excellent price for my used car. I also got a good rate for my financing. I’m now in my beautiful new silver Santa Fe! Five stars all the way!

Worst car buying experience of my life. It took them 3 months to even get my loan squared away. Also with my trade it they never paid it off until I had to call the other lean holder and talk to them and show them I had traded in the car. I made 3 car payments for two vehicles the one I had bought from here and the car I had traded in. Because they were to lazy and didnt care to perform their jobs. Worst car experience ever. Now they wont even answer my calls when I have questions about my license plate or anything. I have expired temp tags and they refuse to send me new ones. Worst out of the bunch is Nick selph in finance

I had such an amazing experience here, and got myself a beautiful Hyundai Elantra! I truly recommend this place and Debbie!!! Debbie took care of me and she truly worked her butt off to get me in such an amazing and reliable car at a price I could afford. She took the time with me and made sure I felt comfortable, and not once did I feel pressured or unsure of things. Everyone here took the time with me to explain everything so I had no questions or confusion. **Edit: now pursuing them for fraud for failure to provide my contact after over 2 months**I have worked with this dealership in the past with great success. However, this most recent iteration has left much to be desired. After buying 2 cars from them in 2015 I returned to buy a new 2020 Sonata. Buying the fully kitted model with all options along with all of the accessories the knowledge of the staff regarding the car was simply sub-par. Many of the features they simply did not understand or were just flat out wrong without providing further information. (after multiple requests)After an incident with the car that left two blown tires I was informed by the dealership that I had opted out of the tire and wheel warranty. This was simply a bold-faced lie. I was never offered it and when I requested it following the incident I was told nothing could be done.The purchase was also flawed in this case as I still have not received my final paperwork after 3 requests. Their staff quite simply lacks the understanding of their new vehicles or how to properly inform their customers of the necessary details prior to a 30,000+ purchase.The car in and of itself is a great vehicle, and the ability for them to come to my house during COVID-19 was very helpful rather than not have a car are all. They are just behind then power curve their new cars and their follow-up is severely lacking unless it is to their benefit. I will followup with Hyundai Corporate to elevate my concerns.

Purchased a 2018 Hyundai Sonata. What started out to be a decent car buying experience quickly turned into headache and a warning never to shop at Hyundai Southwest again.During the negotiation I was led to believe I would receive a discount on the final price but it turns out the Salesman were manipulating the total by removing optional accessories they added to artificially increase the price at the start. I pointed this out prior to making the deal and was assured Id keep the accessories and that this was the only way to reduce the price on paper. Fast forward to the signing and the accessories were removed and there was no discount.I chalked it up as bad negatioting or impatience on my part (I really just needed a cheap used car at this point and Id been there for hours). Its not so much the money but rather the blatant lying and deception that annoyed me.A couple days later I realized they sold me one key fob that was broken and another with low battery. I immediately called the Salesman to see if he could replace it. He responded with sales are as is. Now, I get it. They are running a business and I shouldve checked the key fobs but are you seriously going to nickle and dime me for something you obviously hid to make the sale? Sure you made the sale but this kind of business hurts you in the long run in my opinion.You might be asking, why are you posting this review two months after the fact? Well, just when I thought it was over, TWO MONTHS later Im still waiting for my permanent plates. Again, Im a pretty reasonable person. I understand delays are a part of life and this may not fall directly on the dealership but would it hurt to communicate that with the buyer? Ive already had to extend my temporary plates out a month and in two days Ill have to extend it again. How many calls or emails do you think Ive received with updates? Zero.If Hyundai Southwest is reading this, any word on my plates? Im assuming Ill need to come in and extend my temporary plates again.Update: Im not sure why it took two months to realize the vehicle needed a VIN inspection but at least we are moving in the right direction. Im updating my rating from one star to two (for now). I was asked to bring the vehicle back in to have it inspected and could have my plates a few days after.

6/7/21: Professional customer service in Service Department. They took my car in right away which I was happily surprised about. Everything regarding my car was explained in a timely manner. So glad I had an extended warranty that took care of the slow acceleration issue. Loved that one of the technicians is a friend that I was unaware that worked there. He (David) came out and greeted me. Would definitely return.

I usually hate how long it takes to buy a car! But all of the guys made it a fun experience!! The manager Christian and the finance guy Elvis were both great! The best part of buying was Marlin! He is so fun and so personable. Loved spending the day with him. He answered every question and if he couldn’t, he found out right away for me! Go see him, you won’t regret it!!

This place is very unprofessional as their service manager Jared Curry wanted to have a tech take my car home over night to drive around his neighborhood to figure out my headlight issues. My vehicle was in the shop several times over the past few weeks with no remedy after a headlight recall. I was told that the blinking of the lights and the brights going off and on and the lights bouncing around were all part of my imagination and unless they could take my car home over night Id have no answers . Finally I had enough when he wanted to take my car home and went to the 3rd Hyundai dealership where I was told the original headlights were still on my vehicle and no upgrade to the new lights were ever made. Why not? Now Jared wont return my call after 3 days of waiting. I will never do business with them again.

I was pulling through town and my engine died... I got it to this Hyundai dealership and they treated me like royalty.They let me bring my cat inside because we were driving cross country.They replaced my entire engine for FREE, gave me a rental car to drive cross country FREE, and shipped me my car again for FREE to my final destination in a different state.They called me and were so detailed on customer service every step of the way.Greatest experience here. Highly recommended!! Danielle and the whole team were absolutely amazing! I received horrible treatment at another dealer, so I decided to look at Hyundai since I had owned a Hyundai (from another state/dealer) a few years back. Upon arriving I was greeted & when I stated I just wanted to look on my own, the sales rep politely said, Okay and left me alone! I was then checked on by the manager who asked if I had been helped, at which point I expressed I was ready for some assistance. He brought out my sales rep Danielle & she already had a few keys ready so I could look at some vehicles that were in my price range! She let me test drive & compare for quite a while without ever pressuring me to hurry. I ended up loving the Venue denim, but I wasnt sure if it truly fit my budget. Danielle & her manager pulled potential pricing for me without running my credit!! (I knew my credit score & they disclaimered that if my true score differed the prices would too.) After reviewing I wasnt sure if this one was in my price range. Danielle quickly worked to pull other vehicles that were in the updated price range I provided. Along the way Id express that I didnt like a certain color or that mileage was too high. Never was I met with thats not realistic or made to feel like the budget I set for myself wasnt good enough. I was treated with respect and as an intelligent human. They provided options & allowed me to make the decisions! Danielle finally found another Venue that had a few less options, but met all my requirements...I still wanted the denim & was torn. I decided to go to lunch to think a bit. Obviously, having worked on this sale all day & not knowing if Id truly return they seemed bummed, but remained respectful. They printed out pricing options for the less expensive Venue and updated pricing options for the denim in case I was able to put more down/wanted to extend the term of the loan. After getting some food in me, I was able to think clearly, run the numbers & returned to purchase the denim. I walked in just hoping to get something affordable with a few good features & walked out with a brand new car that has more features than I even knew existed! I cant thank Danielle enough for her patience and for helping me to find the perfect car for me!!

Shawn did a great job of checking me in and noting what services I needed and my concerns.The service was accomplished faster than expected and Shawn was good at keeping me updated on their progress.One negative note, which seems to be the case for every visit to the service department - the tires were over inflated. In this case as much as 10-12 pounds. Its a red flag to quality control, not only for this task, but for all service items performed.Next visit to the dealers service....In my most recent visit (May 2021) Shawn again did an outstanding job of scheduling me for service and the service more than met the timeline Shawn had quoted me.The work was accomplished in an outstanding manner - no after service issues.They earned a five star rating this time around!!

How this dealership is achieving a 4.3 rating on reviews is beyond me! I explain my situation to them over the phone and via text. They told me one thing if I bring the trade in. I drive there all the way from Pecos And they bait and switch me with a different cost and they had told me over text and phone. Their markups are ridiculous any person who is dumb enough to fall for their mark ups deserves to be overcharged for a car. This particular dealership is the epitome of robbing people. Please do yourself a favor and go to any other dealership in Albuquerque besides this one stay away!!!

I have been coming here for 16 years and I am on my third Hyundai. The service here has always been more than great. Today I have to leave town for a month, and found out I needed a brake light. It is very difficult to install in this car. I came in on a busy Saturday within 5 minutes Wesley came out and apologized for the wait. Then they said they would get it taken care of quickly. I didnt want anyone driving my car because Im going on a road trip and I am covid safe, so he said they would just do it right there. Less than a minute later he came out with Clark who quickly changed the bulb for me. It was super affordable and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes! Thank you Wesley and Clark!

We went in for an oil change and ended up spending 500 dollars on other needs. Automotive costs are always way too expensive, but we need them. The man at the counter was very nice and informative. We had several belts changed. At least one belt had been changed six years ago. We hope that is close to what is normal.

At first try LHM here on Lomas wasnt able to get the deal done and me into a new Hyundai. However a call back from one of the Directors asking if there was anything he could do to make it happen was the clutch play. I drove away happy and content an hour or so later. I love the new addition and get 30+ MPG with a heavy right foot and always in a hurry.Reliable, top-safety, great warranty and a ton of standard fit items you pay extra for elsewhere.

Horrible experience with this dealership. As a person who works in retail for a bank, I know that my sales rep did not understand how to handle a sale properly, which is by being honest with your customers and doing your due diligence. I live over 70 miles from this dealership and put an inquiry online, which prompted the sales rep to call me (of course) he then asked for all my info so we could get something going. I told him I did not want to travel to the dealership if I wasn’t going to get the car. He then told me that he had approvals and the deal was good and to come down to the dealership. Once I got there EVERYTHING changed. He apparently didn’t know I wanted to trade in the car (after I told him this prior to traveling) and then when I asked what the payment would be if I just got a second car and didn’t trade my current car in, he said that all the approvals were contingent on trading my car in, but that I needed a down payment that was 4x more. The thing about this is WHY couldn’t he be truly honest with me over the phone and do all the research before making me drive all the way there? Wasted time and gas. I was very disappointed and upset about the whole thing, I cried when I got into my car because of the situation.

I went a few weeks ago to get my oil changed on my vehicle. I drive up to the service center where I saw two workers yelling at each other, then both walking away, ignoring me. I waited several more minutes for them to come over and greet, and check mileage, etc. at some point I gave up and went inside, thinking maybe it was just a new COVID practice. The sales lady inside then proceeded to tell me I didn’t have an appointment - which I did. At the time the text had gone to my father, the previous owner of the car, so I didn’t have a confirmation. But without a doubt I had an appointment there. They then proceeded to make me feel bad that they had a ton of walk ins and they are overly busy. Im a pretty quiet person and usually don’t speak up when someone says something like this to me, but I was so upset that I was being treated like an inconvenience even though I was a paying customer. I proceeded to tell them I was not a walk in. I know I called and made this appointment at the correct dealership, so I’m not sure what they were doing. The entire attitude of the front desk staff was worn out and rude.I wanted my car to be washed as well and saw they were running a special for three multi point inspection and washes, so I went ahead and got it, the sales lady specifically said I get a car wash with it.Many hours later (they took longer because I “didn’t have a reservation”) I got a call to come get it, and when I arrived the car was still filthy. The guy told me they couldn’t do it cause of COVID. Mind you we are now at the point where all restrictions are being lifted you can’t use this as an excuse for everything. Is someone going to catch COVID washing my car alone?!! WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR THIS PART: which is why I am disgusted with them and I severely question if they did anything to my car and even looked at it. I mean how do you know, right? If the two things I can visually see aren’t taken care of? Things I paid for!My husband went into the shop with me to pick up the car, because we have had issues in the past with them (they weren’t rotating my tires for years because they didn’t have the lock for the tire) but told us they were. We found out later from Costco that they didn’t. My husband specifically asked the guy how my tires looked and he said a little wear but nothing bad.I checked my tires once I got home to check the wear, and had my parents look at them as well. The tread on one of my tires was so bad, there was no indicator left, and it lost all its tread. We found out once we took my car to a mechanic after this oil change, that it was due to a toe in alignment on my vehicle. But ARE YOU KIDDING ME! MY TIRE WAS SO BAD WE GOT THEM REPLACED a week later because my dad was worried about a blowout. It was that bad. Yet the multi point inspection, which should cover that, didn’t tell me anything at all. That is a huge safety concern to me. I am truly disappointed in how I was treated and I plan on calling the service manager to ask for a refund on my two remaining oil changes and inspections on my car.To be honest we never had great experiences here and I don’t know why I keep going back. It feels like they don’t have a good management in place to effectively run. The stress of the workers was passed onto the customers for sure, and after all the previous issues we have had with them I DO NOT plan on going back.

Once again, this place did not surprise me. Brought my wife’s car in for a recall part that had been ordered in October. We were notified the part had arrived in November. Appointment made for today (Jan 9). Service advisor said we would be ready in two hours. 4 hours later we are still waiting. It seems they had to go to another dealership for our part that “was in”.If her car wasn’t almost brand new and still under warranty, I would never come back to this god forsaken place. If I could give less than one star, I would. Seriously considering trading it in on a Toyota. Larry H Miller is an absolute joke.Thank goodness Toyota and Lexus have options

This review is for the Parts Department. I buy and deal with parts departments all the time. All of my family, friends, neighbors have brought their cars to me to fix almost my entire life (I am 53). I have never felt the need to write a review on a parts department. I could have written many bad reviews but what good would that do? Delbert Chavez parts manager, Chris Padilla parts specialist deserve a review. I came to these gentlemen with a serious issue. They went out of their way to not only help me, but listened. They shared the same tools/information they have to help solve issues. They gave me options on how to do it without bankrupting this family during a pandemic and limited funds. I cannot express my appreciation enough. There is a HUGE difference between a parts pusher and these gentlemen. The service manager Shawn Osborn also provided me some assistance above and beyond what anyone would expect a service department to give. My issue is solved! I was really excited to trade in my 2008 Hyundai Azera for an SUV. The sales process seemed ok. The salesperson promised to replace the spare tire and jack that was missing upon inspection of the new vehicle. I have the text messages from him at the time, as proof he had made this promise. He promised a detailing and Carwash along with the spare. He never notified the manager of the promise for the spare, OR the manager refused to write it in the contract without certain paperwork from me. According to the text, the manager was demanding certain paperwork before he would include the spare. Physically went in to figure out the issue today. The salesperson is no longer there and despite my proof they said they aren’t obligated to keep his promise since it wasn’t written in the contract. 🙄 Supposedly, they intend to offer me the spare tire missing from the car I purchased from them at dealer prices. We’ll see if that statement is true. The parts person said he couldn’t get a hold of whomever they must order the parts from.2 Stars, because they were all very nice selling me a car with missing safety features, and minus the missing parts, the vehicle does run well and I am happy with it overall.

When I went to LHM SW Hyundai I was skeptical about Hyundai vehicles, and having to deal with the pressure of car salespeople. I was lucky to have Luke as my salesman. I spoke with him the day before I planned to go to the dealership and he gathered some information about what my car needs were and the features I was looking for. When I arrived for my appointment with Luke he had some SUVs ready for me to look at that he thought met my needs. I originally thought that I wanted a Kona-too small. Luke showed me a very nice Santa Fe with every option I could imagine and I was still not convinced. I requested that they show me a used Toyota from one of their other lots which they gladly brought to this dealership so I could look at it. I spent several hours with Luke who was professional, helpful, kind and intelligent. We crunched numbers for the Toyota after which I needed to go home and think about it overnight. I was not pressured at all to stay and buy a car that day. I ended up going back the next morning and buying the Santa Fe. I love it. The whole experience was positive, no pressure, flexible, friendly and knowledgeable salesperson. This is my first brand new car and buying it was a pleasant experience thanks to Luke. Ask for him, you wont be sorry.

I dont know if this was a benefit or not! Free oil changes, thats a nice incentive, right? Well when you live over 150 miles away from Albuquerque, NM not so much. My daughter took her 1st car in for a free oil change and she left there with over a $300 bill! And this one gets me, over a $100 to change 3 brake lights. The FREE aint so free. Well, after buying 2 cars from them and after everything said and done there was not warranties added. (I had to call and check, for 1 car I was never given the paperwork I signed at purchase). Coming from a dealership like Carmax that offered me service care for 100,000 miles to a whole bunch of lies, is unnerving. Im wondering if the trade in and new purchase was worth it! What can I do now. I hope for the best but I dont have to deal with a mechanic who can over change an 18 year old girl to change her brake lights.

I enjoyed visiting this place when I was out buying a new car. I was looking for a new Elantra today and Allie helped me to scope out one that I wanted. I needed something that has good gas mileage, handles great and looks good coming down the road and the Elantras really caught my eye. TLDR...Luke was a great salesman, finance department is sketchy, arent great overall with mask wearing.We worked with Luke as the salesman. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was clear that he knows the features of the car very well. He was also not pushy at all, which is a rare trait at car dealerships these days. If you are looking for a new car, Id highly recommend asking for Luke. His service was definitely 5 stars.Once we decided to make the purchase, we worked with David in financing. This is where the review is lowered from 5 stars. The finance team isnt really about financing as it is about selling extra services. We were mislead with the pricing of some of the service packages as they were quoted as a monthly payment, which when presented made it sound like that was the overall price. In fact the total price was about 4-5x higher. Sneaky little trick in there to deceive you, so make sure to ask for the actual price of the service after which you can promptly decline it. Signing paperwork wasnt much better. They forgot to add in the cost of my previous loan payoff to the new loan. I specifically asked about it and was told by David that it would be taken care of and my question was basically blown off. I signed the papers knowing that it wasnt exactly correct and that they would be asking for the extra $1500, which was supposed to be in the loan. The papers had to be reprinted several times due to incorrect spellings and/or names (my tradein was still in my wifes maiden name). Even though we pointed out the many errors of this process, in the end, it wasnt right and they made us come down again to resign the paperwork.The doors all have signs that say that masks are required, but the sales managers usually sit up in their little area with no masks at all, so that seems a bit hypocritical to me. On the other hand, Luke was always very professional in wearing his mask.

Everyone in the service department is awesome. I usually deal with Jared but anytime I call or go in all the staff is helpful and friendly. I can always count on great customer service as well as an honest and direct answer to any and all of my inquiries. Thanks Hyundai family. I would literally buy another Hyundai from the dealership solely on the basis of how wonderful my encounters with the service department have been.
