My sister went there for a fuel pump issue and they came back with trumped up charges that had nothing to do with the issue she was having. This Pep Boys needs to be investigated for being dishonest to customers to get more commission. There was no issue with her radiator or thermostat, the vehicle never overheated. On top of that they drained the oil and tried to say it was due to a leak... also unfounded. They didnt know that was at another place the day before for an oil change which is how we found the fuel leak. Crooks!

I was told they cannot pop the bead on my ATV tires because their machine is too big... After I explained that the shop I normally use (closed today) uses the same machine to do the same job, they insisted their machine is too big. 🤦‍♂️ okay, moving on.

They dont take walk ins. They schedule many appointments at one point and when its ones turn there is like four others waiting also and a two hour wait time before they start working on ones car. There is only one person at the front who is genuinely hard working, works well under stress and always has a positive attitude. I commend that person for being nice to me and would give that person a five separate from the rest of the crew.

The people were nice to my face,But they didnt do what they were supposed to and no my car drives worse than before....this is what i get for being lazy n payin a corporation to do something cuz i was in a hurry, never again will i fall for this, this is seriously going to be an expensive fix n they obviously wont admit to anything....

The Service is ok. But what happened to the store with all the oil, wiper blades, car seat covers etc. Other than that they get a 2.5 star but have to settle for 3 star

Aweful, the guy there was rude and charged me up the wall for a tire. First he said it was a cheaper price then he ups the price $ and says (oh, we dont have that tire, but we have the most expensive tire) liars, just to rip people off.

Stopped for AC services and they said the system was waiting on parts!

The crew at Pep Boys saved us yesterday! We were on our way home (Phoenix to Tijuana) when we ran into car trouble. The man at the front desk (Mountain Dew ball cap, I think) and two guys in the shop (Angel and a guy with prescription glasses) provided us with five star service. I cant thank them enough!

Was not happy with service given, went with an appt.time (2:00pm) to get my car inspected for Lyft. I got there 15 minutes before. When I arrived I asked how long it would take for the inspection and clerk said 30 minutes. Well guess what? It was 3:15pm and I was still waiting. Come on, I made appt. so I wouldn’t have to wait long. I guess appts. aren’t respected. Not sure if I would go back.

Went in for transmission fluid. Was a bit confused as to which one would work best. The gal helped us immediately once we saw and approached her. She was a fun personality and very knowledgeable about what she was doing. Id go back there just because of the great service we received from her today! She also rung us out. Come to find out she has 18 yrs in this business it definitely showed! We like pep boys, always have but even better now. Shes an asset to the company and great customer service.

Sent my wife over to get a nail pulled out and plugged in her car tire. The guy there said they couldn’t repair it because it was an X rated tire. Pretty strange since that rating doesn’t exist. So I’m gonna go else were from now on. I’d like to think the people working on my vehicle had a little bit of knowledge.

Wife had a flat coming out of Lowes and stopped at Pep Boys (it is right next door). She called me, and when I got there, I changed the tire. Pep Boys mechanics helped by lending me an extension for my tire iron, providing air for the spare, and one mechanic even came by with a torque wrench to ensure proper torque on the lug bolts before we left.Didnt buy anything because tire was under warranty elsewhere. But......Pep Boys mechanics were a great help, in spite of not making a sale. Would recommend this place if you need parts or tires. Good people work there.

It was a great place for performance parts but sadly they are getting ready to close the store down.

They had a special order tire not found at other stores available for purchase, which I did...avoiding a 4-day ordering headache from somewhere else. Props for keeping rare tires in stock! All around great customer service as well...deserves my 5 star rating.

Have gone to them for years, but since CoVid19 showed up they became a life saver for oil changes an tires. Appointments should be made before going, walkings just slow everything, but they still try to accommodate everyone.

Their customer service is literally the best I have ever seen. Below was my original experience, and I had planned to go back to talk about it and possibly get my money back. But I have since changed my mind concerning that, because of how amazing their customer service is. The instance below is probably just a fluke considering how messed up my tires already were and they probably did their best but I was stressing about multiple items and it caused me to become unduly upset about the situation.I have a mixed review, good because their customer service is fantastic, kinda poor because I paid for a front wheel balancing, at the time that was all I could manage even though I was aware that I needed to replace my tires for a couple of reasons. I needed just the balancing in order to last for when I could replace the tires in a couple weeks. so I understand that it was a difficult situation, but the balancing that was done wasnt correct (referring to the feel of the driving and the very noticeable vibrations, the numbing in my right arm and leg from those vibrations and from word of a mechanic from when I got the front two tires replaced and balanced at another location which I will leave out here in respect towards Pep boys.) I know normally their work is comparable to their prices, high quality, but just this once it wasnt up to par. I hope to get my second two tires from Pep Boys as I place value on their quality over their prices. I appreciate all the help you have given me, Pep Boys, and I hope you know Im not overly upset. In fact Im grateful for your help after I called about it.

Couldnt take my car because they didnt have anyone on schedule to do it, at 4:05 pm??? I guess business is plentiful during the pandemic? Went to jiffy lube was out in 10 minutes and I got a free car wash ....lol

My aunts cars needed work. I took it to Pep Boys to order the part and get the work done. After I dropped the car off I Was preparing to walk back to where I was staying. As I walked out James had called me back and said that Joe would drive me back to my residence. Further, when the car was finished they would come back and pick me up and take me back to pick up my vehicle. The great service did not end there. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they gave us a nice senior discount, reducing the price considerably over what the dealership was going to charge. We are new to Yuma and its nice to know we can take our car to such a great and accommodating shop. Thank you Pep Boys!

For work, find a local garage (I use Joes.) For parts, Rock Auto is the only way to go. These chain stores are designed to take you for all they can. I have had them recommend entirely unnecessary work because my elderly mom brought her truck in and obviously didnt know not to trust them. There is one black gentleman working there that is awesome (forgot your name, sorry!) but everyone else there I have dealt with is crooked, stupid, or both.

They lost my appointment the first time, had to reschedule, went back for the next appointment., they finished the jobquickly but when I went out to get my car, it had several new dings with white marks around them and a new chip in the windshield, like whoever test drove it was following a truck too closely. Anyway, now I have to deal with all the damage they caused. Really, youre better off to go somewhere else!

Had a belt replaced. The price they listed on their website for the belt was around $10. I went to have it installed. Reviewed the estimate and they charge $28 for the same belt. Technician explained that it cost more to buy the parts through the service department. better off buying the parts somewhere else or getting another mechanic.

Called for a quote on brakes with rotor and was quoted a cheap price. I made sure to go in couple days to ensure if pricing correct and of course, price was 2xs higher than quoted. I still set up an appt for the next day for the free brake inspection. Once I arrived, the representative right away was like, sorry NO WAY we can check your car, the mechanic is behind. the previous customers have been waiting 5 hrs .IM SO GLAD I DIDNT BECOME A CUSTOMER. I would of hated to not have received my car back in time or even serviced as stated.

My older BMW broke down 40 miles east of Yuma on a Saturday. Pep Boys was the only auto repair facility still open in Yuma, so I had it towed there. The manager and mechanics went right to work diagnosing the problems. Though Pep Boys normally does not stock many older BMW parts, they did have some of what I needed, and immediately ordered the others. It being a Saturday, parts delivery was delayed a day. However, less than 3 working days later my BMW was fully repaired, tested and ready for the road at a very reasonable cost. Thanks Pep Boys Yuma for your professionalism and courtesy. Special thanks to my service advisor Joe who did a great job of keeping me well informed in a timely manner of the progress of the work!

All about charging you fees! They will check your check engine light for free........ But charge you $100 to tell you what it said is wrong with it? I was not happy about that. I went down the street somewhere else but I have no problem checking it for free Im telling me what was wrong with it for free. pep boys will check it for free and tell you the code numbers that came up on their machine, so unless you know how to work one of the machines and what all the different code numbers mean they wont tell you whats wrong with your engine

So I went in to get a price on a leaky oil gasket and I was providing my own parts and oil. Labor cost around 400-500 bucks! Previously I was in a rut with work and had them change my rear brake pads and to diagnose my starter. Once again, I provided the parts. Labor was $200 for a 20 minute job on the brake pads and upon inspection, my starter is missing bolts! This place is a rip off. I suggest either doing labor yourself or going somewhere else unless you want to empty your wallet.

Pep boys hooked up the low rider show car with some white walls and new tires. In and out in under and hour. And big discount for the somerton cruisers .

This place gets one star only because I wasnt able to give zero. Beware of getting work done here. I brought my car to the service department for overheating issues. I suspected it was my thermostat being stuck closed but I couldnt fix on my own. They diagnosed the problem and said I needed to replace my head gasket, a very costly repair. I went to another shop the next day and they found and fixed the problem...thermostat was stuck closed. After the thermostat repair I made it back to San Diego with no problems. Now I dont know if this place was being dishonest or incompetent, but would you want a shop with either of these qualities working on your vehicle?

It can do in a pinch, if you only want to avoid the dealership or if you dont know an honest mechanic... but otherwise youre better off at Walmart.

Taking advantage of unknowledgeable customers. I had a female friend come to me asking if I could replace her all 4 of her brake pads. She declined the $400 service Pep boys gave her to replace only her brake pads. If anyone is familiar with this, you simply pull the wheels off and open up the top half of the brake caliper. Its a job any mechanic could easily do in 20 minutes. So I happily accepted to do it but when I got to the pads they were all almost entirely NEW. They told her she needed brand new rotors and pads! An absolute lie. Her rotors and pads were in great condition and not even close to be needing replaced. If you want someone to lie to you about what maintenance needs done to your vehicle, this is the place! Shameful, corrupt mechanics. Please stay away from this place.

Mgr Daniel and Floor Rep Jeddediah took very good care of me and my shock absorber issues. OReillys wouldnt even bother to look at their shocks to match, but Pep Boys took their time and on the 4th one it was near exact. Thank you guys!!!!

After all the problems I had with Pep boys, Im glad they improved their customer service. I got refunded when I confront them with my problems. They did everything they could to help me. The manager was extremely helpful and nice. I was worried to come back but when I did for an oil change, they definitely impress me with their service this time from their employees. It would be great if they offer Pepboys awards program or remind their customers to use it when they checkout because I always forget to use it and I go there often.

Pretty good selection of performance parts. Service is a little hit and miss. If you have an old car make sure you know exactly what you need before going as the computer wont tell the parts guys what fits most of the time.

Place sucked. Had an appointment at 5 for an oil change. For one they didnt even take my car into the shop for 40 minutes, two they were slow on the oil change. And for the third strike, way over priced, 81 bucks for synthetic oil average is usually 55 to 70. Not coming back here. I ran a better shop when I worked one, no one would ever wait an hour on an oil change.

I visited Pep Boys to find some seat covers because the Yuma sun likes to bake leather seats. I could not find any that I liked. The seat covers available were kinda pricey and none in the material or color I was looking for. So I went to Wal-Mart and found exactly what I was looking for and for half the price.

Had a appointment at 9am to put 2 tires on and showed up at 8:30. It is 10:38 and they said they will start it now. Why have appointments?

The service was absolutely shity, I was told by one of the floor staff that he had to finish with what he was doin and he would be right back with me, so I waited. Then I heard the same guy (Pep-Boys employee), answerin a different customer (which happens, cause they just have a quick question). Then another customer comes up to him, Pep-Boys employee, and he starts helpin that customer, and yet I still wait, Hopin he directs someone else to help me out, NO! I WAIT around for about 15-25 minutes, NO ONE else tries to help me. I get upset and leave. This had not been the Only time this or something like it, has happened at the Pep-Boys. They have lost a customer, for good!!!!!!!! If ya want companion automotive repair parts, DONT GO TO Pep-Boys, in Yuma. I would rather drive to Tucsons Pep-Boys, BEFORE I GO BACK YUMA

Customer service was poor. My daughter was not given a price for the service before they started on her vehicle. When she asked how long the service would take, they were rude and guys at the counter acted as if she was bothering them with her question. They were both looking and laughing at something on their computer. After she asked how much the service would be, someone else came in and told her she needed more work done on her car and the total bill was $219 and change. The car was in for an alignment. She was obviously being taken advantage of due to her gender and age. This place lacks integrity and I will never take my business there and will make sure I tell my experience to anyone that will listen. I gave them 1 star because I dont have the option to give them a big fat zero!

BEWARE: I purchased a 5yr wheel alignment for my vehicle in 2015. In Aug of 2016, I had to trade that vehicle for another due to reliability issues. I had a total of one alignment and one check up done on the previous vehicle. When I asked if I could transfer the remaining 4yrs to my new vehicle, they said no. I asked to speak to a manager and they said he said no. The best they would do is give me one more alignment, then I would have to purchase the plan again. I was cheated out of 4 years of wheel alignments. No refund, no credit. Beware!

I paid around $400 to have my radiator replaced 2.5 months ago and on my way to work today, my car completely overheated. I popped the hood to find that the large radiator hose was disconnected (all the way off). The hose clamp was still on, but it managed to slide off.I was on a freeway when I noticed the smoke and pulled off as soon as I could. If any other damage occurred because of this problem, I am going to be in a serious financial bind for Christmas.Thanks a lot Pep Boys.

Broke down 30 minutes east of Yuma. After being towed to Pep Boys they diagnosed the problem and repaired it at a good price, then we were back on the road to San Diego. We got an honest deal. Thank you Jesús and thank you Jesus!

I was surprised by a Shop Fee that was on to my repair bill. The Asst Service manager James was very professional and explained the fee to me. His good customer service made the difference in my situation.

Worst place ever it took them 7 hrs to find out my alternator was not working, at first they said it was the battery and then they said it was the alternator, they finished a couple hrs early because i was giving them pressure, they don’t care about keeping you waiting all day, everyone is lazy, they could at least come to you in the back and let you know what is going on, i Definitely don’t recommend, i don’t even know how they ate still open!!!
