Many, the store manager, offers great classes, support in getting the right tools and recommendations of DIY books. Chris, the assistant clerk, was always willing to assist with my purchases of leather & tools. The classes I took at Tandy-125 in Winter Park helped me get a good start and now I can have experiment on my own. I just started leather making in January 2021 and I have made 2 wallets by hand. The red one was in class and the brown was on my own. I carved, dyed, cut, sewed and stamped my design.

Their selection of leather and other products to work with leather is outstanding. However, the assistance you get with anything is sparse. They used to have much better help while you shopped. Need to step it up.

Great service today, June 21, by the bearded associate (Mgr?), Winter Park. I had had a mis-shipment of wrong product style before from May 21 by a different Tandy location. When I walked in, gentleman was efficient and warm and accepted a exchange/credit of the wrong items toward todays purchases ( that was 2 of us each shopping for about $200 each vs the $25 credit exchg). He was readily helpful, knew his store and product well! Always a pleasure to find such great service!! Thank you!

It was great the gentleman was very knowledgeable and patient. Ive never bought leather before in my life he has respect for the product knowing it comes from living animals and treats it accordingly... Im having an interior upholstered and had no clue what i needed ill be buying all of my materials from tandy leather for alll of my projects.. Thanks a lot see you guys soon

2nd Update: I have upgraded my review up to 4-stars because, after contacting the corporate office, they agreed to give me a store credit to purchase a better punch. This is all I wanted in the first place.Update: I have had to reduce my original 5-stars down to 2-stars because their return policy stinks. My second purchase at this store was an economy rotary punch which turned out to fail completely in its mission of punching holes. I called to see if I could return it for a store credit to buy a more substantial punch. I was told that I could not return it because I had attempted to use it; they could not resell it because use damages the tubes. This seems paradoxical because the tubes were certainly not damaged be cutting through any material. I had hoped to form a long term relationship with this business, but not if they refuse to accept returns of tools that dont work. My initial review is below:I had been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to find the proper size grommets for a project. The staff was very helpful. They not only found exactly what I needed in a few minutes, they also helped me learn how to install the grommets. It was a fantastic experience.

Normally I just go in to purchase my leather needs, but today I needed some help with half round punch tools. There were two sales people in the store and neither one knew much of anything about leather crafting.I drove 45 miles to shop at Tandy Leather today and was very disappointed.

This store is fantastic. I’ve been to many Tandy stores but the staff are exceptional here. I bought a cowhide rug months ago and the person who helped me was so patient. He took down many hides and insisted on laying them out so I could see them. Made a big difference in my selection. He took his time and never rushed me. Tony is really helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me draw out a pattern of the project I was making and gave me so many helpful tips. I would routinely come in and show him my progress. His positivity makes me want to come back and keep shopping here! I don’t know what the previous reviewer was talking about with prices, I’ve never been mislead and if anything they have offered me discounts when I purchase a number of items.

Very impressed with the customer service at this store. The manager Tony was awesome, he drew me a template for the project I want to work on and wrote out step by step instructions. I was not expecting to receive this much detail. Awesome experience. Will definitely be back!

If you might be interested in working leather, this is THE place to visit. Mgr. Tony is most experienced & knows his stock well. He & his staff are so friendly and accommodating. Recently I was in need of technical assistance & Billy cut his lunch short to accommodate me, talk leather treatment & Chicago Screws. Its such a good time picking their brains & learning so much.

The store staff cares. They want you to succeed on your projects. Theyre willing to answer any questions you have and will answer honestly when they dont know something. The store selection is fantastic. J especially love their selection of leather and hardware. They really have everything you could need.

The amount of leather and tools in one store gives it a five but there are a few irritations causing a 4. First is that items are not well labelled with prices. A few things I had to ask for a price. Each time I was hoping it was the price listed closest to the Item. The second issue was that it took way to long for them to ring up my purchases as there was a lot of talking amongst themselves. I also played a part in talking to them however it still took too long. Now that I explained the 4 instead of five star rating, I can tell you that it was so awesome to be in that store. I have been purchasing online for a while, but have held back on a couple of items because I was unsure of what they would look like in person. Now I have a much better understanding of what I see on line. There are so many odd lot sides that look so cool. If I had the money I would snag them up. I would not purchase these online though because you cant possibly know if you will get something you want. Over all awesome experience and the staff was pretty cool.

Ah, leather... thats the amazing aroma that greets you upon opening the door. I had the privilege of dropping by Tandy Leather to give them an AC maintenance proposal, but I had to be dragged out of the store! Absolutely everything you could want or need to work with leather is there and the manager Tony will make sure you have exactly what you need.

First Class Operation. Store is clean, organized, and well stocked.All employees are well versed in their jobs, courteous and polite.Billy is always ready to serve and Tony is an outstanding manager.When needed shipments are correct and on time as promised.

Absolutely fantastic customer service!!I came in not knowing anything about leather and Sterling walked me through steps on how I could make a quality belt and he even demonstrated how to cut and dye the leather for me. Thank you for introducing me to a new hobby!

The staff was great and friendly, they helped me find exactly what i was looking for. Didnt catch any names unfortunately but thank you. I was able to get setup with an elite membership as a first responder. Its nice to see companies who support first responders/military. Will definitely be coming back.

First time shopping here for a Christmas gift I was going to make. Looked through the Ladigo and they only had large sides no shoulders for an ungodly amount. So I looked through clearance and found black classic shoulder that had a white sticker on it for $49.99. But also had a red sticker for $79.99. So I checked and there were two pieces of the same color and cut with the same two different stickers on them. Took it to the cash register and they told me that the sticker must have came off from another cut. Not likely since two were identical. They made me pay the higher price of course. Not a fan of the employees here or the selection. Visitors beware...

Awesome service. There was an error with a package I was having shipped, and within about an hour of me calling my local store, the manager had had a new package personally delivered to my apartment. Thanks Tony, you guys are great!

I stopped by the store to check out a few things regarding making a belt. The guy helping me told me they have belt classes on Thursdays and Saturdays, its $25 including the leather. They will provide everything needed for the class, including tools to use. I make the 45 minute drive, only to find out they dont have enough tools and I am now required to purchase an additional $40 in tools. Just to take a class. Thanks for helping me waste 2 hours on my Saturday morning. When I called Thursday to sign up, I asked once again if I needed to bring anything with me. The answer I got was No. Happy Saturday.

Bill there helped me out and gave some AWESOME Ideas. Showed me stuff I needed that was on sale. Ill be back for more.
