Steve is what I would call an authentic gear head. I was having repeated issues with a starter and two other places replaced it but did not diagnose the real problem which was a short from the ignition wiring that was frying the solenoid. Having just replaced it two weeks earlier was stopping for gas at his station and it went out again. So I left it there. He replaced the starter and re wired the ignition for me and I have not had a problem since. Any issues from that point on I bring it to him. Replaced trans cooling line and diagnosed a knocking sound that nobody else could figure out. Could have charged me for another job I asked him about but he was honest and said it did not need to be done. Great guy, great mechanic.
