My mother took in the car to get serviced here through the insurance . They did not do the job they were supposed to. They told us the parts where being replaced then they told us they just “fixed” the damages and did not replace the pieces. They told us one thing and then it was another. The quality of customer service is really disheartening because they do not take any actions for their wrong doings. They also tried charging for a key when they were not supposed to and did not charge us because we called the insurance. The cars paint job, bumper, wheels came out with more problems than it initially came in. We had to drive the car with a messed up wheel in the rain and this was a safety hazard. This shop does not care for the safety of their customers and I am highly upset and will tell anyone to avoid this location. My mother did not have the car for a month to then continue not to. To top it they said they disagreed with the claims. This place is truly not the place to bring your car so if you can please avoid this location and go to another... you’ll save your self a headache.

Great overall job based on the cosmetic work that was completed. Youre experience maybe different than our but I would recommend this shop. I was provided accurate information and the communication was good.

Brought my car in for minor bumper damage and a detailing, was told if it was brought in on Monday I wouldn’t lose it for the weekend. Rented a car and called on Friday and was told it would be ready on Saturday. Returned the rental on Friday and called at 2 on Saturday to find out that they left for the day and maybe it will be ready on Monday. Had no car for 3 days and lost work because of poor service and unprofessional customer service. This place is not what it used to be and you should stay clear of this place at all costs.

The only reason Im giving Higbie Collision one star is because zero stars wasnt an option. I brought my car to them after an accident because they were recommended as part of the repair network for my insurance company. There was so little communication from them I often wondered if they even knew they had my car. Every time I called, I was given a different estimated date when my car would be ready... and every one of those dates was wrong. I was told several times that theyd call me and let me know one way or the other whether the car was going to be ready on a given day, and I never heard from them.When the car was finally ready, I showed up and immediately spotted a dent in the door that they hadnt fixed correctly. They had already had my car for 2 weeks at that point, and they wound up keeping it for another 4 days (after I sat there for a half hour waiting for them to try to buff it out). When I picked the car up for real, I noticed the side mirror was crooked, and upon inspecting it after I got the car home, I saw that they hadnt reattached it properly. Wound up having to go back and sit there for an hour so they could fix yet another mistake.Im not sure how Higbie got their status as a preferred repair shop, but its definitely not because of their attention to detail. This place has major quality control issues, and managements lackadaisical attitude just adds insult to injury. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do, I certainly wont be giving Higbie any more business.

Definitely go here for auto body work! My car was hit from behind last year and went to another shop. Well, they did the worst job Ive ever seen. Horrible paint job, seams were off, left my car full of dust and even left tools in my car. I went here and Chuck the owner redid everything they screwed up. Car came back good as new and cleaned from to back inside and out. And 3 months later I was hit again in the back. Went back and Chuck took care of it again. Car looks like new the second time. If I ever need an auto body shop, Ill be back here again. Hopefully I wont but at least now I know where to go!

Excellent towing service. Jon the driver was awesome, he made my day alot better after i was involved in a automobile accident... he was very knowledgeable on the process an assured me the shop would handle everything from here on out. He even called rental car comp. to. Have them at shop for when we arrived..

Very reasonable estimate and excellent job. Ive dealt with a lot of body guys and quite truthfully this is the best by far. As referred by Kenny across the street at Pride automotive, whom I trust completely.I highly recommend them. Theyve been around a long time so you know they will be there for the lifetime warranty.

Great staff, were very friendly and helpful after my car accident

I recently purchased my dream car (2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited/Purple). Unfortunately I received some body damage to my car due to negligent drivers (rear ended and hit by debris from a truck). My husband used Higbie in the past and the body work was immaculate, so I decided to take my new car to the shop. Honestly, Chuck and his staff are all WONDERFUL. Not only did they do an AMAZING job (my car looks like the day I picked it up from the showroom) but their customer service is impeccable. If I could give them half a star I would. I was involved in an accident on the southern state and higbie towed my car to their shop in west Islip. So I go to their shop a few days after my accident to clean my car out and the people thier behind the desk were acting weird, I had just spent $600 on a touch screen radio. And they told me I wasnt allowed to remove it nor could they remove it for me for insurance reasons. OKAYi asked if I could clean my car out and they told me i wasnt allowed in that area. Its restricted for employees only due to safety hazards. OKAY. so some guy brings me my license plates and all my papers in the glove box. And I go home.When I get home I call geico and my insurance adjuster tells me I would be compinsated in my claim for the radio so long as I had my recipt.Couple days go by my insurance adjuster calls me to tell me I will be receiving $0.00 for my radio because when he when to higbie to do my claim there was no radio. my geico adjuster sent me pictures he took of my car in higbies Collison shop and there was no radio.THEY STOLE MY RADIO. So i called and asked what happen to my radio and they had no clue so I go down thier and I demand they show me the security cameras. They tell me i cant see the security camera footage OF MY OWN CAR. because of employee privacy blah blah blah. The manager told me hell contact my insurance company and sort this out. Never contacted them and my adjusted basically told me Im screwd out of my 600$ radio.The Higbie collison. People are thiefs and the manages dont care they just help cover it up

Terrible experienceThey promised the car in3_4 days which had minor damage. The part which was pre ordered they say was damaged. The car was technically ready in 7 days but there was 2 scratches on the spoiler so they needed an extra day to finish.There was no reason why the car was not inspected before hand.
