Ive used this place several times. Always had a good experience--not sure why the reviews are so poor. The staff has been helpful and friendly. Im happy to help support small businesses; especially with all the uncertainty of the pandemic. I try to go here whenever I have to send a package or get anything notarized. They are also one of the few places in town that will take your fingerprints, which can be hard to find.

I highly recommend you take your business else where. I had two negative experiences during my last visit. First, there was a student in front of me that was clearly a foreign exchange student and did not speak English very well. She presented the man working there with what appeared to be three different valid forms of Identification from Serbia. Her forms of ID were obviously not in English but still should have been legally accepted. The girl was very sweet and cooperative but the man shouted in her face “I told you I will not accept these! If you can not provide me with an identification that is in English then we will not serve you here!” He said this very loudly and everyone waiting in line could see the unfairness and hostility of the situation. I was about to step forward and try to help the student but then I was called over to get my finger print taken. This was were I had my second negative experience. This was my first time getting my fingerprint done so I had no idea what to expect. The man doing the fingerprints gave me very little instructions and seemed frustrated when I didn’t know exactly what to do and where to stand. He then proceeded to grab my hands and sternly bark orders. He told me to relax my arm, which was already completely relaxed, and step in all different directions. When he moved onto my left hand he had me step towards him until I was practically pressed against him and then he continued to tell me to step forward but I took very small steps because I refused to be completely pressed up against this man for what seemed like no reason. What was really bad was after this he told me “this may be easier if you close your eyes and look away”. This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with someone who is temporarily in a position of authority. I am not sure if he treats all the customers like this but from reading the reviews it seems like many other women have had negative and uncomfortable experiences as well. If at all possible I recommend you try a different postal service.

Their cleanliness in Covid times leaves a lot to be desired -- masks and 6 apart is not enforced, and hand sanitizer is not provided. I dont appreciate comments about what Im picking up, its none of anyones business and doesnt need to be announced to the store. Will NEVER go here again, highly recommend the UPS Store at Campbell and Broadway.

I went to University Postal to have my fingerprints done in April and encountered no issues. My prints were done quickly and efficiently and I had my card within a week. I even recommended that people go there because they were efficient. Here is where the problem is:My daughter went there to have her fingerprints renewed after working a night shift the night before to get her prints done. She went into the store and there were no other customers there. The man behind the counter was there on his phone and did not so much as acknowledge her presence. I hate having to pull this card, but in current times, tensions are high and too many people are coming out of box with unwarranted discriminatory treatment of people. A Caucasian mother and son walked in, and the man helped them right away. My daughter had to say, excuse me sir, I was here first.. My daughter said that even the young man who had walked in with his mother seemed to notice. She gathered that by his expression. People look at me and see a Hispanic female. People look at my daughter and see a black woman. We are all mixed. I looked at the reviews of this business before I posted this review. I was going to call them, but after realizing that such a call may be fruitless, I figured this was the best course of action. To the gentleman at University Postal, you appear to have a history of being rude to people. As for how you treated my daughter, you were indifferent by acknowledging her presence as a paying customer which is also rude. Why cant ALL customers receive the same courtesy you gave me and others with positive experiences? We all have off days, but I see the beginnings of a pattern, and that is just people who chose to post an online review. How many people didnt speak up? Think about it, sirs. You provide a necessary service, but given how you treated my daughter, I dont see myself sending our employees there or other people I know that need to be printed or reprinted. There ARE other options.

Google maps took me here when I entered post office. I bought 2 sheets of forever stamps and paid $24 for 32 stamps - i.e., 75 cents per stamp. I didnt actually know how much forever stamps cost these days, so when I got home I looked it up - its 55 cents. So this place added a service fee of over 36% - just to sell a few stamps. The REAL post office is only a few blocks away ... my mistake, and I wont go back to this place!!

Went to University Postal for fingerprints yesterday. Super easy to find, park, and get in and out of. Nice folks. Unfortunately the dog slept the whole time I was there and I didnt get to pet her.The only kinda sorta gripe I have is the table where the fingerprint reader was located was short and it made it difficult for me, since Im taller, to loosen up and let them take my prints while also having to pull my arm down. But Ive read some of the other comments and I can see that some of those leaving comments have never had their prints taken, its always a difficult process. Ive had to have my prints taken several times in the past for security clearances (Im not a criminal lol) and this time at University Postal was one of the quickest and easiest. I was in and out in ten minutes. Thanks! Will go again!

These guys are great! Theyre friendly and helpful, and offer a variety of useful services: notary, post office boxes, shipping with all the major services and fingerprinting. Their dog Daisy is also fabulous - super chill for a puppy. And I dont know what Keaton May is griping about. If she wants a larger selection of retail items, she should take herself to Target. The men who run the place may be a little socially awkward, but theres a big difference between atypical and super creepy. Additionally, Id like to know exactly what she means by extraordinarily high risk - high risk for what?My wife and I are new transplants here to Tucson and all of our mail is delivered there. Weve been there almost every day for a month and never had anything less that professional service. Finally, all of reviews of the fingerprinting process seem to be written by young people whove never been fingerprinted before. Its a difficult and uncomfortable experience for everyone. It requires a weirtd position of your fingers and a rotation of the wrist that is not normal. I am 50, and have gone through the process dozens of times during my military and federal consulting careers. It has never not sucked! Its not these guys fault, thats just how it is.

I just had the WORST experience at University Postal. To anybody who might be needing a fingerprint clearance card (or any other postal service in the area) DO NOT get it here. The employee who was doing the fingerprinting was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. As it was my first time going to get fingerprinted, I wasnt sure what to expect and was already somewhat nervous. He repeatedly yelled at me for being too tense (in front of other customers) to take my fingerprints and blamed me for not being relaxed enough when the man was squeezing my fingers together. After looking at similar reviews for this place, it appears that hes done this MULTIPLE TIMES to other customers, especially women and people of color. This is completely unacceptable and I honestly dont know how this man is still working there. I will definitely be leaving negative reviews everywhere I can. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. I cant stress this enough, DO NOT give this place your business!

I went in for my scheduled fingerprinting and the guy was very strange or/and just rude. I by accidentally gave him 3 forms or identification instead of 2 (my green card was stuck between my passport). I didnt want it to fall and get lost so I asked Im sorry I think my green card might be stuck between my passport. Would you mind passing it over to me so I I dont lose it? He opened and it was there. He wouldnt give me my permanent resident green card back. He completely ignored me, even though he already had my 2 forms of ID (drivers License and passport). I asked again politely thinking maybe he didnt hear me and he looked me in the eyes and again ignored me. I asked again and did the same thing. He looked me straight in my eyes and didnt respond to what I was asking and began to proceed with the fingerprinting process. I asked again forcefully and he sighed and finally gave me my passport so I could pull out my green card to store safely back in my bag. Does he not understand how detrimental it is to lose your green card? Its obvious he heard me the first 3 times. I dont understand his behavior. Never coming back here again. I dont understand why people treat customers this way.

I went in to get my fingerprint. I told him that I have arthritis and my figures, knuckles, and arms are stiff and hurting and might need more time to complete the process. The guy who served me grabbed my figures and forced my figures to put on the scan, which I understood that might be what he had to do. But he fiercely talked me that you did not relax your arms and figures and forced the process. I was apologetic and told him three times that I already did my best to relax my arms and figures. He ignored what I said and kept pushing my figures in force and not stop telling me that I didnt do it right in anger. I hold my tears due to the pains and how he treated me. That was not my first time to get a fingerprint with arthritis. My past experiences went well with no pains and difficulties, but the guy in this location was the first time I felt being discriminated as a disability.

I agree with previous complaint below of general rudeness with fingerprinting service. It seemed I couldnt relax my hand/arm enough to get a proper print. I refuse to do buisness here ever again out of principle.

I visit several vendors at this location, and having University Postal here is very helpful. I have come in several times to purchase books of postage stamps. This local has a great variety and always have stamps in stock. Other places I often frequent such as UPS or even the grocery store, always seem to be out of stamps when needed most which is frustrating during the Holidays. I am always acknowledged by a clerk upon entering and the wait time is short, if any. Service here has always been speedy and friendly.

Weve used University Postal for over two years, and always received great service. When we first moved to Tucson, they worked with us to set up a postal box ahead of our move to ensure we had a place to forward our mail to. Originally, we picked them because they were close to my work, but even after I no longer worked nearby, we kept our box there, as the service was so good. Not only for a postal box, but for other needs, from getting last-minute holiday cards, mailing packages, and even having keys cut - all of the keys we had cut there worked right off the bat something that Ive never had happen at the box stores.Ed and Mike are nice people, and have always treated us with respect and gone the extra mile. Even now, as we are preparing to move on from Tucson, theyre being helpful and kind. We will miss that level of service.

Do not come here to take your fingerprints. The man who took my fingerprints was very rude. Yelled at me multiple times in front of other customers because my arms & fingers were supposedly not relaxed & claimed I was trying to take my fingerprints myself because I was pushing my fingers down when really he was holding my fingers and wrist a little too roughly resulting in me trying to loosen his grip. Really made me feel like I was doing something criminal. I have done my fingerprints before elsewhere & have never had an experience like this. His fingerprinting technique is trash & needs to be reviewed as well as his approach with customers. How do you expect someone to “loosen up” if you’re coming at them with an unwelcome tone that then turns into screaming at them? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I do not recommend this place to anybody!

I wont go there again. Parking sucks!! I guess its a place for walking customers. The tiny parking lot assigned to the postal store is hard to get into. Twice Ive had to overshoot the in entrance because someone was going out and there wasnt room to pull in. So today I went ahead and parked in the Dirtbags and 7-11 parking lot cause I was just going to make a quick copy and mail a letter. It was going to take five minutes max but the dirt bags staff had other plans. As Im walking I hear someone yelling. I look over my shoulder and a guy in an apron is yelling at me telling me I cant park here. So Im done. No more. You lost my business. Good job dirtbags employee for jumping the gun I parked way in the back not right in the front. Parking lot was pretty much empty so its not like I was taking valuable customer parking space anyway. Good job University postal employee for brushing away my comments as thats not our parking anyway obviously Im not an important customer so I guess I wont be missed anyway.

This place is terrible. I am an online seller and had a buyer use their UPS account to generate a time sensitive Next Day Air label. The pick up time for Next Day Air is 2:00 PM. I got the package there by 12:50 pm. Apparently 1 hour and 10 minutes is not enough time to give them at a location where the driver is scheduled for pick up and the customer does all the packaging themselves. Save time, Aggrivation and money. Go 3 blocks east to the Sun Station USPS location and use their Express Mail services. It would be 50% less and theyll handle the packages. Im filing a complaint with UPS because this authorized dealer makes their name look bad. The account holder that used their UPS account will do the same. I hope they also leave a terrible review. This company nearly destroyed a time sensitive order for a buyer of mine. They have inconvenienced two companies with their appallingly lackadaisical care in handling this package. Im going to this location as soon as they open at 9 am. I will be bringing my tape dispenser and a USPS Express Mail envelope, Im going to take my item, remove it from the UPS envelope and put it in the Express mail envelope. Then instead of handing this location the package despite the fact that they are a USPS dealer as well. I will take the package three blocks up the street to the actual Post office because this place is TERRIBLE and the item would PROBABLY GET LOST as soon as I walked out the door. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Please take heed upon scheduling a fingerprint screening, it may be more suitable to take your business elsewhere.I am giving one star for the very polite and funny gentleman who welcomed us in for a fingerprinting appointment. As for the actual fingerprinting appointment......I arrived with my daughter ten minutes prior to her appointment. The person whom performed the work was extremely rude, aggressive and abusive. This man was excessively pulling on her and yelling in her face to relax! He then proceeded to accuse her of illegally attempting to perform her own screening while he repeatedly squeezed and pressed her fingers down on the platform. She paid for this service????I honestly feel this was an attempt to get a reaction from her or possibly a fraudulent attempt of an inaccurate reading in order to receive additional compensation for a rescreening/reassessment.However, this is a prime location for local law and medical students attending the nearby U of A to receive this type of service as a requirement for their ongoing career development. It’s just unfortunate that this person doesn’t see it as lucrative as it could be.I have submitted my formal complaint to the Fieldprint corporate office for reconsideration of their contract and possible relocation of their services. I am also going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bereau and am seriously considering an assault report.A request for a review of their surveillance video and a review of the pictures taken of the markings left by him squeezing and twisting her has also been issued. I really hope that this review helps someone.

My mother went in to get her finger prints done and an employee named George was the one who was suppose to help her out with this. Instead of being helpful, George yelled at my mom multiple times in her face because she was having a hard time relaxing. My mother is a very nervous person, especially when she deals with anything that has to do with legal documents, which is why she was having such a hard time relaxing, either way, George had no right to yell at my mother the way he did. He also grabbed her hands really hard, yanked them and pushed them away. That is basically assault in the way he grabbed her. My mother came home crying and was having a panic attack. I called and filed a complaint with the store and depending on how its dealt with, I will also be talking to agencies outside of the store who can help me deal with employees like George who like to yell at and physically handle customers the way that he did with my mom.
