We had a good time and both the indoor and outdoor space had a very cool vibe. The beer options were plentiful and we loved some and some were just ok, but we were going out of our comfort zone on a few of them. The service was ok, but it took so long to get our “to-go” box, that we just left without the food. Try the tacos! The music was also a bit odd and the train that passes by from time to time was pretty loud.VictorB

Were no beer connoisseurs, but borderlands is our fav brewery! it has the perfect outdoor patio, they have a great happy hour, and an amazing menu.the patio is partially covered and has misters for when the weather starts heating up, so its always a vibe! its a popular spot, but not so popular that its always packed which is really nice. the service has always been super friendly and fast!our fav things to order are their michelada, tangerine sour, and margarita (i told you we werent connoisseurs!) they have a great selection of local arizona beers, and their own. the menu is great, im a vegetarian and i love their totchos that come with soy-rizo. highly recommend!

Torn on the stars to rate. Great atmosphere. Beer was absolutely fantastic. Food was good. However the service was terrible. There on a Thursday night(not busy). 20 min at a table waiting for a server. Once we received our order we were completely abandoned. No check in. No asking if we needed more drinks. My wife had to go into the bar to ask for a box and our check while 3 servers stood on the patio and talked with each other. I would suggest sitting at the bar.

The location and huge patio with music was great. Little depressed with the service, we walked in and sat down ordered and got a drink. Waitress asked if we wanted to start a tab we said Yes and asked about food menu. Waitress said to scan the QR code and never saw her again. Finished our drinks went inside and closed out and left.

When visiting from San Diego, my girlfriend and I found this place because we were looking for a dog friendly place in a local Tucson place. A little difficult to find due to downtown construction, however was SO WORTH IT. we showed up to an amazing expansive beer garden full of misters and speakers playing amazing music, incredible staff (two great young women, I cannot remember their names im sorry) served us and were so kind to us and our dogs, bringing them a large bowl of ice water. Beer was great and atmosphere was unique and beautiful :)

The only beer Ive really come to like from here is the Cranberry sour. I have been a couple of times and Everytime the service has been terrible. Watching as other tables are being waited on and being ignored I havent even been able to flag down a server. The food is good the margaritas are good. I attempted to contact Borderlands about my latest bad experience where I was double charged for food and waited 2 hrs for said food. I asked for water at least 5 times and got water once. I see that some other people have had a similar experience as me. With so many other amazing breweries down the street we wont be back.

Visited twice on a trip to Tucson with my fiancé. Had to go twice because we realized back on the East Coast we would not be able to enjoy these great beers. Tried every beer they currently have to offer - was not disappointed with any of them and loved quite a few. Lydia’s favorite was the Toole Ave infused with Peach Mango - it was fruity and delicious. My favorite was the Imperial German Chocolate Cake Porter... I encourage (1) anyone who loves porters and stouts and (2) anyone who loves chocolate to try it. Seriously, it’s amazingly flavorful and dangerously drinkable. I’d go back to Tucson solely for that beer. Second favorite beers for us were the Horchata and Noche Dulce. An honorable mention is La Miche - as East Coasters we had never heard of micheladas - it was surprisingly delightful! And many thanks to Brianna who guided us through the menu - wonderful service and very knowledgeable (yet humble about it).

Amazing! Loved the paper straw to save the environment. Decent atmosphere. No free wifi. Bathroom was clean and rustic like the entire building. Very Arizona themed with beer that had Arizona flavors like prickly pear. Decent water. The flights were out of mason jars that went along with the rustic theme. Dog Friendly! They have a special day to bring your dogs and get a discount! Great place for beer and more!

Waited over an hour for our food. Other customers that sat down after us got their food before us. Limited food menu. The cardne asada taco meat was tough and overdone like cooked in a microwave or cooked hours ago. Shrimp tacos were a disappointment....tasteless and super tiny shrimp like size of a quarter. I was expecting larger grilled shrimp. These shrimp tasted either boiled or microwave cooked. Chicken tenders we got for the kids were dark brown and overcooked. Staff was very nice. Overall...Not pleased.

I really love Toole Avenue hazy IPA. I’m a big fan of hazy IPAs and this continues to be one of my favorites in a town with many great hazy IPAs! The outdoor fire pits and live DJ make for a really fun night out and very safe protocols in place given the circumstances. The food options are also fun- my favorite are the shrimp tacos. I can’t wait to go back and try to other menu items. I ended the night with a German chocolate cake beer and it was spectacular! Perfect evening.

First I like the location, both the indoor and outdoor seating area are pretty nice. The tacos from the food truck were tasty. The majority of the staff was attentive, unfortunately our waitress seemed more concerned with nonstop flirting with the old regulars than actually waiting on tables. The first beer I had, a vanilla porter, was ok.The second beer I ordered, the Cashmere Pale, was one of the most memorably bad beers I have ever had the displeasure of being served in near 30 years of crawling between breweries across this nation. Honestly the only beer I ever remember not drinking and just paying a leaving, it wasnt a style thing it was just a plain horrible beer. I wont be back.

Borderlands hosted the pairings party for #TheOven17, and did a great job with it. They gave us space and took great care of the attendees. While in Tucson, make sure you visit Borderlands. Under normal circumstances, Im sure Id post a much more positive review. However, a recent experience made me sad and want to reconsider my support for this brewing company. 2 weeks out and I still havent even received an acknowledgement response from Borderlands. I attached it here as it describes my experience for December 11 in detail:Hello Manager,I wanted to give some feedback from my previous experience calling in (4 times over a 2-hour period) and navigating your website. For context: I recently moved to Goodyear after living in Tucson for over 7 years--the period in which I really came to love Borderlands. After a particularly rough couple of weeks, I had wanted to treat myself to a lovely four-pack of your Citrana. A friend of mine from Tucson was coming up to visit me and I asked if shed be willing to stop by and pick up a pack for me. I had tried to place an order online (which Im positive Ive done so in the past) but found your website to be fairly unusable for this purpose. The login feature didnt work for me--not with the log in/Sign up through Google or via an email alone. After trying on my phone and on my laptop, I gave up this endeavor and instead tried to call. Im all for smart assistants--but the one I spoke with... sucked. At some point, the assistant sounded almost condescending (an attempt at humor, I guess, that wasnt really taken well after she hung up on me twice in response to Id like to speak to someone). Then in other attempts, twice going to the taproom and once to sales... I didnt receive an answer. In only one of those did I think I get to a voicemail, but it was kinda unclear and awkward since I wasnt instructed to leave a message. I was just given random numbers by the virtual assistant. Something like... 42801 (dont quote me on those exact numbers) and then a beep.Honestly, that was the last straw for me for the night (and the week overall). All I wanted was to get a much-craved for a taste of your Citrana for the first time in a few months... and well, I wasnt met with a process that made it easy. I felt I went out of my way as a customer to order from you, and Im just left feeling disappointed. I want to support Borderlands--even from this distance--and Id like to recommend you but I likely wont until these issues are fixed.Sincerely,A sad and Citrana-less costumer

What a great selection of nanobrew flavors! I was really impressed by the selection of standards and specials. I like malted beers and they offered two porters, and for my friend they had a choice of sours. I saw a couple each of ipas, pale ales and ambers too. Against type, I had the Horchata Cream Ale, which was light and excellent.I didnt have anything from the menu, but was surprised to see a good selection of grilled and hot plates. They have fairly short hours, but an outdoor serving area, temperature taken, and well distanced serving helped us feel like this is a good place to visit, when you can.

The location DT is great whether you want to start or end an evening here or just make it your destination for the night. The ambiance is also great. There was a fantastic band playing when we walked in and everyone just looked like they were having the best time! The bar is the place to sit to be in the middle of it all, but they also have a nice seating area outdoors as well. The beer flight I had was superb and I enjoyed every beer I sampled.
