The staff was friendly, fast & helpful. The guy that helped me applied a coupon without me having to ask. I called around trying to get quotes most places wouldnt give quotes over the phone and the places that would give me a price were $100 or more than Brake Masters. I told them that I was running late and had to get my kids to school so they put a rush on it. They checked my car, replaced front/rear brakes & resurfaced rotors within an hour & half (it cost $230, other places would have charged way more) when originally I was told it would take twice as long. I was able to get my kids safely to school on time thanks to them. I will definitely go back next time I need brakes. Great job guys!

My wife made an appointment at the location for 9am on a Saturday. As, she needed to get her brakes replaced before going on a road trip. When she dropped off her vehicle for her appointment (9am) she was told it would be 90 minutes. She called them 210 minutes later to check on her vehicle, they stated it was still not even started.This forced my wife to cancel her trip, as she was a day behind schedule once the brake replacement was finally completed.This company seems to be more focused on over booking themselves so they can drive up their revenues, rather than customer service and keeping their obligations to their customer base.Highly disappointed, dissatisfied, and irritated! I would never recommend Brake Masters to anyone, and I will never use their services again!

I went in to get the front brakes and rotor replaced. They called to tell me that the tie rod end on the front was busted and that I should get it fixed. I had known about the problem but since there was no uneven wear on my tires and my steering/handling was not compromised that it was a problem that could wait. When I received my truck back the front desk guy said that there was a lot of play in my steering and I should get it fixed asap. I wasnt sure what he meant by that until I got in my truck and the steering was extremely loose! It was a significantly different feeling to what i remembered from just a couple hours prior when I dropped it off as well as my handling in the 3 weeks prior. They also busted the hubcap completely off my back tire and just threw it in the bed of my truck and did not mention it or attempt to fix it. I emphasize, the hubcap on the back tire, when I needed them to replace the FRONT brakes. This made me even more suspicious that they were just screwing around with my truck.If something got broken on the tie rod in the process of fixing the brakes, and they had been honest about it, I would not be as angry as I am now. I am left feeling suspicious that they purposely loosened my steering to not only scare me but endanger my life and others on the road. It puts me in a precarious position, since if something were to happen they could say she knew about the tie rod. But the handling was clearly different when i went to brake masters to after I left brake masters. They obviously didnt care that I had spent my entire life savings on this truck, had multiple mechanics, and the previous owner, tell me the tie rod could wait. They only care about being shysters and making a couple extra bucks. I wouldnt take any car you care about here.I guess you really have to do your research before going to ANY shop for ANY job no matter how simple. I only went to brake masters because my regular mechanic is totally booked up. It sucks that we live in a country that not only allows, but rewards people for being predatory and money minded.

I specifically scheduled an oil change, tire rotation, and engine air filter replacement.They took it upon themselves to replace my cabin air filter without asking me if I wanted the service. They also installed the most expensive one they had. Has to be the only business in the world that volunteers you to buy things you didnt ask for and tells you after the fact.

A lot of people think Brake Masters is a ripoff. I have been going their for over 20 years and have never gotten a raw deal! If they fix something and it isnt right, they make it right. And dont charge a penny more. I recommend Brake Masters!

I go there for an oil change once a month yes I said once a month ( I drive alot) and Ive had my AC serviced there and they do a great job.

Went in for an oil change, they did a great job as usual. The reason for the poor review is that when I got my vehicle back, there was a massive, deep scratch on the drivers side back door. It wasnt there before, and then all of a sudden I pick up my car and there was a deep gouge? If you use this company, take pictures of your vehicle first. I wouldnt have even cared if they would have told me. My car is not in pristine condition, it has a few dents and one other scratch. Id have been cool with it if they said hey this happened, were sorry. Cool, things happen and I get it, no big deal. I am furious however that they didnt tell me, and when I went back in from the lot to get my vehicle, no one came to the counter to talk to me when I wanted to ask about it.

I went in with a $570 quote for just doing my front breaks with MPG Automotive, where I get my free service and maintenance. Brake Masters were able to get all my breaks down for 200 less. Will recommend to anyone who needs brakes done.

Not only is price key for most, but that way you can check out different auto repair shops while an estimate is being performed. How is their customer service, did they adhere to your appt. time, etc. Use your phone people to do research. We have choices.

I went for an oil change and a diagnostic; my engine light and emergency brake light was on but the mechanic failed to address these issues. It cost me much more than I anticipated. He said I needed a new battery when I did not have any issues with it. It cost close to $300. and I still dont know why my engine light and emergency brake light is on.

Great service, fast & professional.

I took my car to get a simple break check.. they told me i needed rear shocks and rear breaks but everything else was fine with the car. When they returned the car to me i drove home and something popped on the car i took it back for them to check it and they said its the differential. They are now looking the other way and dont want to take care of the expenses that i have to take care of now when it was theyre fauly. I repeat my car was perfectly fine until i took it there for a simple check up on the breaks now i have no car.. i do not recomend this place since they wont stand up and do the right thing ..

I usually get my oil changed at Honda AutoNation but you need an appointment so I went Brake Masters, they were busy too but they squeezed me in. They were very professional with quick and excellent service and it cost less than going to AutoNation. I will be back again.

So I made an appointment at Brake Masters on Oracle. When I got there The Man Behind The Desk told me that it would be 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours until my oil change should be done. If I have to wait two to two-and-a-half hours to have an oil change why would I bother to make an appointment. So I went down the street to Midas. They got me in right away I was done within an hour. And the price was competitive.

Towed the car to the mechanic and he said one of the clamp hose wasn’t tight well during changing the AC kit that cost nearly $1500 (photo attached)Paid another $360 and was lucky that I didn’t lose the whole motor.I’ll make sure to write review on bbb and consumer right and Yelp to advice people to stay away from that store! VERY DISAPPOINTED :(

Quick and honest

I had an apparent overheating issue over the Christmas Holiday, Jesus and his team showed the ultimate in professionalism in handling my case. They found that there was actually nothing wrong with my vehicle after a thorough assessment and did not charge me for the diagnostic service. Honest and knowledgeable service is how I would describe this shop. A rare find these days.

This place has become our go to car repair place. The manager, Jesus, is a great guy. He has been more than fair when helping us out and has not tried to push other services on me when I bring my cars in. They do more than just brakes and is now my first stop whenever I need car repairs or maintenance done.

I called got a price for a radiator flush. I was told $69.99. I get there today, I confirm the price with the manager-he agrees! When I went to pick up my car I had a $10 dollar off coupon from their web site they wouldnt let me use. It gets better, my bill is $81.25 !?@$ When I ask why the bill is so high the manager says due to taxes. When I reviewed the bill, they also added a $6.00 shop supplies charge. Apparently their shop supplies arent included in the cost of radiator flush?!? I DEFINITELY WILL NOT GO BACK! You know, I had reservations about using Break Masters-Ive always used the dealer, and this is exactly why, they are shady. They quoted me one price and charged me another. They didnt tell me all the costs involved in the service I requested and they wouldnt let me use the coupon I printed from their website.. If I could give them a zero rating, I would. Update.. I did contact the district manager.. He had the store manager refund the difference to my account, however the store manager attempted to take another customer ahead of me, even though I was there first and I was like oh h_ll no! So, I still wont go back, shady workers that clearly have zero customer service skills..

I went to Brake Masters for a front end alignment and was told it couldnt be done unless the suspension was worked on first. I was also told that my truck needed a new hub. Everything would have cost over $1,000.00. I refused to have the work done asked for a copy of the work he said was needed and left. What the man working the service desk didnt know was that my nephew a certified mechanic had worked on the suspension already and replaced all the parts listed 3 weeks prior to my taking my truck to Brake Masters. The hubs on the front tires had been replaced as well. All I needed was a front end alignment for $69.95. All they saw was a grandmother with her grandson and assumed I was ignorant of what he was telling me. My nephew would never let me drive my truck without b him repairing the front end suspension and the bearing o the left drivers side tire. I felt that he was just trying to take advantage of me because Im and older woman. I will never recommend Brake Masters to anyone for any type of service. In my opinion they failed to provide decent service. In addition all the bays were full plus someone else. My grandson and I left for about 1 hour and when we returned everyone was gone and I was given the news about my truck. In my opinion they didnt have enough time to do a thorough inspection or they would have seen all the new parts. I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I rate the service U received a minus one (-1).

5 Stars— the BEST business in Tucson.I came in with MANY serious suspension issues: Bad tie rods, worn u-joints in my steering column, dried out belts, blown shock, worn control arm bushings... a mess.Helping mom with cancer has me suffering financially, and I REALLY loved these guys for not poking fun at me or my car.They asked how I was doing. They are good and always on time. I have never had to leave my car more than couple of hours. They also have some coupons on their websites, so make sure to check it before you go to them.I really like their service and they are always my first choice if something happens to my car. I like if they can’t fix something they say that we can’t or it will cost alot.

The manager Mike is great to work with. I was treated like a person, not just another $ for the store. He explained the issues with my vehicle and what needed to be done where I understood. Other places I have been used mechanic talk, which I didnt always understand. I will definitely use this location again.

Had a great experience with the manager Jesus and his assistant manager Enrique. They were able to help me make some serious repairs for a very reduced cost compared to other mechanic shops.

After going to two other nearby places that either were out of oil or not willing to honor their advertised deal, we called this business. They told us they could get us in right away. From the moment I made that phone call to leaving the building after the oil change, we were pleased with their fast service, reasonable pricing, and most of all, their excellent customer service. From now on, this is where we will be getting all of our oil changes.

They did the worst work possible, made me cry. I had a real mechanic look at it and he fixed the car in minutes. Please don’t waste your time or money.

Brake Masters #109I see all these bad reviews and feel the need to share my experience today. I brought my old van in for an oil change because I had a coupon. :) They were fast and thorough.They could have pressured me into all kinds of work considering my van leaks... everything. They just informed me of the items that should be addressed at some point. These are all the exact same items their competitors down the road have been recommending.They did some minor (non-standard) work at no charge for a young pregnant woman in the lobby. They seem friendly and competent. Im not sure why all the bad reviews.I hope more people will share their good experiences. :)

I had work done that I now regret. I waited out the manager at least 15 minutes to “find” Brakemasters own coupon only to finally come up with an excuse that that 2 of the 4 replacement parts were original manufacturer parts negating the buy 3/get 1 free. Losing any semblance of trust, I will never go here again.

Friendly service at a great price... maybe! BUT if you want the factory recommended oil you must ask for it or else you end up with what they say us good enough. I guess they know more then the people who built my my motor? PLUS they somehow squeezed 6 pints of gear oil in my differential... its capacity is less then 4 pints but they charged me for 6? When this was brought to their attention, I was told to have a nice day! Such friendly service! 🙄

Not so great experience, they left grease all over my center console and seat. Now I have to remove the grease and hope it does not leave a permanent stain. I should go back and charge them for cleaning fee, shop fee, etc....A bit dishonest in the pricing; they tell you the cost plus tax, when its time to pay they add tons of fees.Not a cool way to do business, no upfront pricing and as a bonus leave your vehicle filthy...dissapointed.

Did the work for 170 but of course the guy that gave you the discount isnt here anymore, well do it for you for about $200+. So much for being loyal, the manager for that store saw this review called me and says I can do it for $196 Im like you said 200 something, now you see this review and now youll do it for 196$ not gonna price match your price but hey its less than 200$ the new manager is trash.

Excellent customer service. They let you what’s going on in terms non-car person understands and you feel comfortable leaving knowing your car was serviced correctly. I also noticed they had a lot of regular customers who knew Diego and the crew that made me feel comfortable as well.

Never go to this shop. This is my first time to go to brake masters. I made appointment for 9am this morning and I was told the price for alignment is $49.99, but when I came, the staff said there is no appointment recorded. And I asked the price, he said regular is $89.99, if I have coupon, it would be $69.99, but their website shows regular price is $69.99, discounted price is $49.99 with coupon. Do not go to this shop, they are liars!

Unsatisfied customer here, not only was the rude one WAS A MANAGER, I believe it had to do with my shocks or tires x they replaced the brakes, and changed my serpentine belt, and the manager told me that they wouldnt do the alignment because I needed new tires before hed even consider doing the alignment . Needless to say I went to another repair shop . And had no problems getting the job done. And I still to this day will not take or refer a friend to any brake masters.

Prices have gone up a lot here & the guy working on our car didnt use a torch wrench to check the lug nuts, went a little heavy with the impact wrench . One of the front center caps got broken but that could be from age. They do offer lifetime brakes & parts so still ok

One recent Saturday morning, after having the worst customer service in my life at the 5810 E. Speedway Brake Masters store compliments of the manager Roger, I then found my way to this Brake Masters. I was a walk in on a Saturday morning and was greeted as a valued customer by the gentleman behind the counter, Jesus Valenzuela. Jesus took the interest and time to listen to my brake concerns, said theyd be glad to look at them and to have a seat in the waiting room. Within an hour, my rear brake pads which had crystallized for some reason were diagnosed and replaced at a very reasonable price. I was then out the door with a smile on my face and brakes that were no longer squealing like crazy. Thank you Jesus and staff, very professional.

Have someone check your car before bringing it in to here went in to change one of my brakes and they tried charging me $2,000+ for things I didn’t need, plus another $1,000 to fix what didn’t need fixing... I recommend you ask them to show you exactly what’s wrong and we’re it’s at before you think about paying.

This brake masters is a complete RIP OFF! I took my car in and had a coupon and of course all four of my rotors and brakes need to be replaced... yup all four they said. So the coupon was worthless because it was to turn my rotors. It would cost me 600 dollars. Well I took it to another brake place (NOT BRAKE MASTERS) and my rotors were fine! I just needed pads on the front, huge difference! They are crooks, its to be expected that they would try to sell you more than you need, you always take that risk, but that is absolute B.S.!Just go somewhere else, trust me!!

I just called asking for spark plug replacement and replace the plastic rubber insulators cause, I tore one of the plastic insulators. Guy says hell has to look at it first, I told him it shouldnt be a problem or too difficult...
