Great place to buy a car. Went down here with my dad who was looking for a car. Looked around, found a few different options. Steven Whitney was the guy who helped us out and he did great. Went through several cars, found the exact one we liked, test drive went smooth, paperwork was quick and easy (for being a dealership), and we left with a good fit for my dad. Place is really clean, well laid out, and easy to find what you need. Im sure there are a lot of good guys there, but we dealt with Steven. Talk with him, he will get you what you need.

Our experience with Chapman was absolutely terrible. Either our vehicle was a lemon or the service department just performs shoddy work. 5 major repairs on the brand new vehicle (2019 Tiguan) in 22 months. Never any loaner cars available. Wed bring it in for a problem and immediately after they fixed something a new issue would crop up. Sales department no help in addressing all the issues with the vehicle or service department.

Just wanted give a shout out to a great service department. My car broke down while we were on vacation in a small town over 100 miles from the nearest VW dealership and over 300 miles from my home. I must say that Chapman VW in Tucson really stepped up took care of everything. They arranged for a tow truck to come and get the car and and had a technician stay late to diagnose the problem when the car got back to Tucson. The next morning I got a call at my hotel from Mia in the service department informing me that the repair was fairly significant and involved the ordering of parts and may take a few days. I explained to her my situation, stuck in a hotel with no transportation and that I needed to get back to Phoenix to work the next day. I was worried but it was no problem for the professionals at Chapman VW. Mia called me back a few minutes later and told me that she had arranged a driver to come out to the hotel and pick me up and bring me down to the dealership and that they had a loaner car waiting for me that I could use until my repairs were done. What a relief! They even let me drive it back to Phoenix and I used it to get to work for several days until my own car was fixed. It was just a great customer service experience and I really want to express my thanks and recognize my service advisor Mia as just an absolute rock star for professionally helping me through such a trying time. She was super friendly, knowledgeable, and just a total pro as a service advisor. I wish she worked at my local dealership here in Phoenix.

This review is for service not purchasing/leasing a vehicle.Scheduled an appointment for an oil change with my VW Atlas Cross Sport. I didnt buy the vehicle here but you couldnt tell because they treated me just like a customer who had purchased from them. They use a texting system while you wait for services that allows you to sew the status of the work being done real time and approve/deny any additional work they recommend as the process is being executed. Ill only be in the area for a few months but Ill continue going here as long as Im around.

Had a recall fixed at this location but they didn’t reattach a line under the hood so my check engine light came on. The next available appointment wasn’t for weeks out so I went elsewhere and paid for a diagnostic for them the let me know a line wasn’t reattached when the recall service was performed. I sent over the invoice for the diagnostic but never even received a rely.

I am very disappointed in the service I received. My Sisters husband bought her a Camero as a Birthday gift 5 years ago. Last year he past away from Covid. The Camero was one of the special gifts that my Sister had left. A month ago the car was stolen and crashed. My Sister was very depressed. We found a similar Camaro here at Chapman Volkswagen and her daughter and I were trying to purchase it for her. Well I was treated very rude by the Salesman Jesus Arnold when I was going over the numbers. He told me that I was required to pay all these extra fees for Nitro in the tires, Red Alarm System, and Low Jack. With all these extra fees this added a huge amount to the price of the car. Jesus was very rude with me when he was explaining all these things to me. He actually ended up hanging up on me. Its very unfortunate that we will not be able to help get my Sister this car. 😭😭😭

He was very patient with us (a lot of communication was via email or phone) and listened to what we needed/wanted in a vehicle. He didn’t try to sell us add-on’s and definitely kept all options within our budget. He was very honest and went above and beyond our expectations. I brought in my Jetta for an engine software update. The windshield washer sprayer wasn’t working on one side, so I requested it be looked at. They discovered the hose had been damaged by pack rat activity. They installed a new hose and now it it works. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃

In for an oil change. The appointments are set up and arranged by phone and online. Once there the attendant was spot on professional yet engaging. Helpful but. They now charge $16 for a tire rotation. Parts people were helpful too.Very busy!

All staff I interacted with were both friendly and professional. My visit was for an issue I have with the front right suspension area. Sadly my first visit didnt rectify the issue. This visit was my second attempt to have the problem resolved. Disappointed to say the least, the issue continues, not resolved. I was assured the issue was resolved by finding plastic component found inside the area in question. Also the ?sound was from the transmission?. I didnt say anything, just question the logic. I will need to make another appointment (3rd attempt) for your service department to find and replace/repair what is needed.

Bought a Beetle from Carvana, which arrived with a tire warning light. I called the Service line and they prompted me to see the Express service lane, without an appointment.After going over the information, they were able to reset my light for free and send me on my way. Other dealers may have used the opportunity to charge a diagnostic fee and find items to fix.

I was traveling from Camp Lejeune, NC on my way to San Diego, CA and had a tire blow out about 2 hrs from Tucson. I call Mr. Scott MacNeil in the service department and he got me right in to get a new tire despite it being close to closing time. Words cannot express how grateful I am that he understood my situation and timeline to get to California. Being on a military deadline is hard sometimes but he made sure we got here on time! Five stars. Five stars. Five stars.So, I had been hunting for a very specific car for several weeks. I finally found it at Chapman VW and I was thrilled. However, my main issue is that I do not live in Arizona. Therefore, many many many arrangements needed to be made. The main arrangement was actually buying the car. I received incredible help from Carly who works in financing. She was super nice and helped guide me through the process of buying my first car. Not only was she super helpful in buying the car, but she also made sure that I could buy the car from my home! We were able to FedEx the paperwork back and fourth.In addition, the only reason that I was able to buy this car was due to the incredible help I received at Chapman VW. Primarily, Nick was super patient as he had to speak to my mother and myself. He was very organized and straight forward. He explained everything very clearly and he helped fight for me to get my car. I had to fly to get the car and he picked my up from the airport. Truly, he went out of his way to help make this dream of mine happen.It was the weirdest thing to pick up my car because I walked in the door, showed them my paperwork, and they handed me the key. I have been with my friends when they bought their cars and it was a very long process. Like, 3 or 4 hours long. But, getting my car was incredible because all of the paperwork had been taken care of and the last step was for me to actually pick up the car. I left a very happy car owner.I would highly recommend speaking with Carly and Nick. Carly was super knowledgable and helpful. Nick was very personable, helpful, and fun to be around, even though I did not get to spend much face to face time together. He loves Batman, so if you need help buying a car, just call for Batman!

I wish I visited this place before shopping around the cars in Phoenix and California. I could have saved so many hours if I have done that.I found car I was looking for online and went to this dealership, Mr Whitney was my salesman, Mr Gonzales and Mr Lapierre were sales managers who helped me out purchasing the vehicle. At first wasnt really expecting a whole lot, but oh boy they really worked with me to get the things I needed. Ended up buying a car in 2 days.Besides the price, the whole experience while purchasing the vehicle was a whole new level. Best dealership experience Ive had in years. Couldnt find the car I liked here in the Phx area and most of the dealers I visited looked, sounded and smelled like used car salesmen. Then... found the perfect car here and Nick Lopez picked up the phone. I told him the price I needed on the car...and for $2.5k less than the Horne dealership in Gilbert, same year/make/model/+-10k miles, swore was impossible. Nick made it happen with very clear numbers and no fluff. Very simple to drive south, make the purchase and Nick delivered the next day. In Tucson or up here in the valley, you can absolutely trust Nick and this dealership whenever they have the car you want. Thank you Nick.

Don’t take your car here unless you absolutely have to. Originally took my 2011 vw in to get my dpf filter warranty replaced and they didn’t replace it and said it wasn’t necessary... check engine light came on 10 miles later. I called and they replaced the dpf but also broke a sensor in the process and kept my car for a week to replace it. When i finally got my car back they forgot to put the cover for the steering column back and instead left it and it’s bolts on the drivers side floor. i didn’t even complain because i don’t trust their mechanics at all. they will break your stuff.

Poor diagnostic abilities. Took my vw beetle in for repairs in January, check engine light, engine temperature light, headlight out, heater not working. Had to bring it back for the same problems in March. I will be finding a different repair facility for my repairs. Also, one of my reflectivee lens covers was missing after service.

Bought a new VW. What happen? During the warranty period encountered numerous issues. Some unresolved. One day I was Driving on I 10, with cars passing me very very fast but my odometer said 95 mph? Wow. Way off. Then my sun roof would not close - I was told its my fault for using it on the highway???? What? Then they repaired it but caused a major scratch on the glass. They never fixed it. On positive note, each time the vehicle was sent in for warranty issue, we were given a car for waiting a few days to have them repair our vehicle. Their staff are professional but you need to clean up the mechanics trash left in our vehicle. Wow, It was becoming a weekly vist with repairs. Enough was enough. Took a big hit and got rid of vehicle.Also.My mother in law bought a vehicle here. Was told she can drive it away in 15 minutes. Ha! Try three hours.Let the buyer beware!

I have been looking around for a few months for a specific SUV and happened to find exactly everything I was wanting in this SUV at Chapman in Tucson (I’m from Phoenix). The drive to Tucson wasn’t fun but we’ll worth it. My salesman ANDREW was Phenomenal, he was honest, strait forward, and wasn’t pushy. Ultimately, the reason I made the drive to Tucson to get my new SUV. Typically if I start feeling pressure from salesmen to buy I get a bad taste in my mouth and will just walkout as I feel I need to be 100% confident in my purchase and not because I was pressured into it. Also, I have purchased many cars in the past and have spent countless hours in the dealership, I was in and out with my new SUV in a little over an hour thanks to CARLY being efficient and having my documents prepared and ready quickly. Friend of mine bought a fiat 500 abarth from there, week later check engine light came on, took it to get looked at, turns out you kept the car for three weeks. She finally got it back and the car sat lower, because it would always go over speed bumps fine, then the car started smelling like oil burning. She then brought the car back to be returned, Chapman then kept the $1000 down payment on it because she lost it and she didn’t even go over the 3,000 mile warranty . Then Chapman gets her into a suv 2014 Ford Escape, three days after owning it, check engine light comes on and transmission light comes . Not even 500 miles on the 3,000 warranty.Something is going on here 🤔

One plus for opening during the pandemic COVID-19. Booking service online is usually 1-2 days out, but its understandable since service and staffing might be limited with business constrains due to pandemic. The service was quick and easy, and staff was courteous. Only change oil once a year since car is only driven 1000-2000 miles a year, so see you next year!

We bought our daughter a vehicle from here recently. We were charged $300 for unnecessary serial numbers and $90 for absolutely useless nitrous in the tires. Its 2020!! Why are dealerships STILL SCAMMING customers with the nitrous in tires?? Nitrous is one of the most BLATANT scams out there by car dealerships. We thought Chapman was bigger than this. I was a little early for my appointment, maybe 15 minutes. Instead of having me wait until the appointed time, the staff came out to check on my needs. I told them who I was and that I had an appointment. Mia, my service writer, came out and took care of me quite promptly, finding out what the problem was and what I could expect. Pablo, a courtesy driver, took me to work in a passenger car, just he and I. They did the work on my vehicle. Mia then called me to let me know what they found, what they did, and that the car was ready. I called Pablo when I was ready to leave work. Again, he picked me up, took me to the dealership, all with a smile and pleasant conversation. When I arrived, Mia greeted me with a smile and escorted me to my vehicle. She made sure my car was ready to go. She is great. I hope I can deal with her in the future when my car needs service. Chapman is great. I love dealing with them.

I bought a brand new jetta a few years back and it came without cruise control. I never think to leave a review until I am on a road trip and wishing I had it. I didnt think to ask if the car included it originally, because I thought every car had it. I feel like the sales rep should mention when something every car normally has is not included. He also went on about the Sirius radio trial, which it turns out there were two types of radios and mine cannot get Sirius radio. Thats fine, but the cruise control is unbelievable. It gets a good laugh when I tell others about it, though.

I bought my car from Chapman VW and have always enjoyed the service there. Recently took my Jetta for its 100 k factory service. Larry is the best as they come, informative, respectful, and genuine.I like how you can track your service status in your phone and approve items all from your phone.Will ONLY go to Chapman.
