This is the most horrible experience I’ve ever had ! EVER. I ordered a bedroom suite from these people, the presentation and conversation went well with making the sale. Once the sale was made, it’s like everything went ghost . I later found out, that they didn’t have my dresser in stock . After I paid my deposit and gave all the needed documents to Steve, my salesperson, they Continued to Call saying they don’t have information, which I gave a month ago. So I gave it to them again. I spoke with a manager to get my order transferred and it was suppose to be here by now according to him . No one can find information on my order . Not to mention there was a lady being extremely rude to me when I called one day . She told me how she can’t help me because she don’t have the time but she was apart of the management team . I was calling to ask about something regarding my order and she didn’t want to talk to me at all. My sales person, Steve, caught an attitude when I was inquiring about the out of stock dresser. I wouldn’t buy another thing from them . I wish I wouldn’t have to talk to them now but I really want what I paid for and let it be over with . Matthew, Teresa, and Dave has been of great help but I feel like I’ve been given the run around and there’s been no communication at all. If there’s a problem with what’s going on I expect for someone to call me, but they haven’t so it shouldn’t be a problem. Also if you call any of the main numbers, no one answers !

Buying furniture there isnt a problem. Its in between the store and the warehouse. I bought a sleeper sofa and loveseat. The loveseat had a tear in it and the sleeper sofa didnt open. Ok, they made it right by replacing both. That same day of the Ill fated delivery,I bought a recliner that was supposed to be delivered today along with the replacement sleeper sofa and loveseat. No one knows what happened as to why the recliner wasnt delivered. So now I have to wait another week for my recliner to get delivered. I hope for their sakes that the recliner is on that truck. Given what I said,I wont be back.

Do not purchase from this location. I purchased my furniture two years ago and have had a terrible experience from start to finish. I ordered a bedroom suite, couch, and ottoman. I was told upon purchase, that one of my items was on back order and may be delivered late. However, when I scheduled delivery, I was told that all of my items were ready and would be delivered. On the day of delivery, I tracked the items and was under the impression all items were on the truck. When the delivery people arrived, all they had was my bedroom suite. When I asked where my other items were, they had no clue. I contacted the store, and they had no information to offer. Long story short, I had to have 3 separate deliveries, each time under the impression that all items would be on one truck. On the second delivery, when my ottoman was not on the truck, they offered me to come to the store and pick it up myself. I called the store manager to complain since I missed work 3 times awaiting delivery; he was not sympathetic AT ALL. I requested a return of my delivery fee, and he denied it. I had to manage this all the way up to corporate to get a refund.I got an extended warranty on my items. Every claim I have filed has been denied. My couch is literally tearing apart at the seams (inside and out) and the warrant company won’t cover it, which I misled to believe they would upon purchase. My pillows for my couch also started tearing up after 9 months. Overall, terrible customer service and subpar product. I will add that my bedroom suite has held up pretty nicely, and the delivery people were always very nice and as helpful as they could be. Would not recommend this companyUPDATE: I emailed customer service two months ago as instructed in the response from RF. I never heard anything back from them.Update: I still have not heard from them. I suspect they send a generic response to all negative reviews and never had an intention on remedying the situation.

Run away not worth it. Not even if they gave it to me free. Real nice until you give them your money. After that good luck. Its been over three weeks no order. Maybe next week. Manager never there only one that can refund money gave my order away twice i guess if you buy on credit you get your stuff fast. But if you pay cash good luck. Again run away fast also if you go to one of the other stores just as bad. Bw

If you buy from Royal DO NOT USE THEIR DELIVERY!! The couch we ordered was in the warehouse when we bought it (we couldve gotten a trailer and picked it up ourselves). Instead, we opted for delivery 2 weeks away for convince. That delivery was pushed back from noon, to 2 to 4, to 8pm so after waiting at home all day, I had to reschedule it for the following week. After taking off another day of work, I called to be told there was a note with our delivery day, but it did not get on the schedule, can we wait another week. Everyone on the phone is kind, but obviously working with an incompetent system. DO NOT USE

Always a pleasant experience with my Sales Associate Ian. Hes a professional at his job and class act. He will be my furniture from here on out. That includes family, friends etc. The first purchase 90 days ago he came to help me bring a chair in. That goes over and beyond the call of duty. I came to buy three bedroom suites today and he already had me a couple to look at in my price point. Smooth transaction and always happy to help. Thats very hard to find in the retail world but when you get that experience we all need to share it. Thats Ian. Definitely will be back to see you.

This is the third time we ordered through them. First two times everything went great no problem. So we told a friend and brought him to the store to shop there for his furniture. He found what he liked and ordered him a bedroom suite. My husband and I wanted to upgrade to a split king, so we ordered us two twin xL mattresses and adjustable bases. They gave him a delivery date of 2 weeks and us a delivery date of a month.Did not tell either of us if any furniture is out of stock or backordered or discontinued.So our friend got his delivered and everything was messed up. They tried to give him a headboard off the floor that was definitely damaged. Then his dresser and nightstand were damaged. They then told him when he came to the store that they could not deliver furniture for exchange on a weekend. So now he has to take a day off from work to get the right furniture. Again he was not notified in advance that the furniture he ordered was not in stock.We were given a date of may 29th. The day came the furniture is on the way. The delivery guys were great. But they delivered us the wrong base(a solid king base). When we called to get it figured out we were told that the bases we ordered have been discontinued!!! Then the manager told us we would get these other twin xl bases on June 8th. The manager was really rude and tried to talk over me the entire time I tried to explain how you need to inform customers about problems that arrive with their orders in advance so that they are more understanding when it comes to delays. Literally had to say “can I talk”.June 7th I call the store to get an estimated time of delivery. The nice reception lady informed me that she does not see my name on the delivery list for tomorrow. Tells me she will talk to the manager real quick and give me a call back. I get a call back not long after and she tells me that the manager had tried to call me on Saturday that they can not get the bases in stock and do not know when they will be in stock.So now the manager is lying about trying to call me and lied to me about getting us the new bases.We are now waiting to get our money back for the bases.

Horrible customer service! We purchased 2 bedroom suites that were scheduled to be in on Nov 24. After that date both my husband and I called numerous upon numerous times for an update. Despite the items being so late, the extent of what the salesperson did was return one or two calls to state there is no update. The corporate office was equally as unhelpful. Their answer to phone calls was to funnel you to a voicemail and return no calls. I understand that currently there are delays in shipping, so just an update stating the reason for the delay and when we could expect the items would have sufficed. I do believe that this is the first time ever in my life that the seller thought an.adequate update is that there is no update. Yesterday, we finally decided due to the extremely horrible customer service we would start from scratch and cancel the order. Of course, I had to waste more time due to the the horrible customer service and training issues that I experienced when trying to get a refund.

My wife and I decided to go with Royal because we were shopping for several pieces of furniture. Sales service was great but they had a 2 week delivery time on our furniture. On the date of arrival our delivery man informed us of stains on one of the pillows for the couch. The pillow looked as if it had been rubbed on a tire. As they brought further pieces in we noticed that the cocktail table was botched by the manufacturer and was poorly manufacturered. To top it off one of the end tables was left off the delivery. I called the assistant manager and instantly he was on the defense. I asked to speak with manager and he returned my call assuring me he would get us our missing piece as well as replacing damaged pieces. He went as far as to promise reimbursement of delivery fee and compensate us with giving us the inconvenience fee. I felt that this handled things until time for delivery. Once again they messed the order up and delivered wrong end table and again cocktail table was damaged with paint on the exterior of table. When I called manager he said there was nothing more he could do but replace our order another week later. I explained how heavily inconvenienced we were being done and all he could say was he couldnt do anything more. We will most certainly shop else where. I strongly discourage anyone from shopping at the store in trussville alabama.

I had called the corporate office multiple times, requested a call back from the DM, or store manager, nothing. It took 3 months for me to get my order. I got the run around from corporate office and my sales rep. 4 different delivery dates given to me and they showed up on the day I specifically told them I couldnt be there. My sales rep stated he wanted me to be a happy customer, well Im not. This company company has poor customer service and poor management. I will never again waste my money with a company that treats their customers like an inconvenience. Buyer beware.Edit: the delivery guys were awesome.

I never leave reviews but Julie & Steven are very nice & helpful. Other sales people have no personality, act like they don’t want to assist you and just walk around. No communication about our order, arrived 2 days after purchasing and we were not notified. Employees multiple times tell me that my order was not ready for pickup when it actually was. Must be a hard job? First half of my order was damaged, received a relplacement and it was damaged also. I am told multiple times, “someone will call you and we will make it right” and of course, I have to do their job and call them to find out information. Hopefully the 3rd item will be in good condition or we will just return everything. This was my 3rd purchase from here but will be my last. 2020 has been a year but no excuse for terrible customer service or maybe they just don’t offer training to their employees.This place is an embarassment to say the least, I would strongly suggest a different furniture store to buy from unless you like dealing with incompetent people, wait a month to receieve your order, waste your time, etc. completely frustrating & unacceptable.

Bought our couch from here, very nice couch, pretty high on pricing but nearly everywhere we go furniture is grossly overpriced. That being said, watch the small print on the financing, they run like 26% on their in-house financing. Probably won’t shop there again due to costs, but their products do are decent, delivery was reasonably fast and they set it up in the house without issue.

The sectional came in! It took a while, but we got it. I am now satisfied since I did receive a call about the sectional and did not have to call again. I gotta knock one star for the longer wait when I was told it would be ready much sooner, but after speaking with the manager I do understand the circumstances, and that the actual wait time was not at the fault of the store.

This was the absolute worse experience at any furniture store ever. I had purchased my furniture weeks in advance and paid in full. You would think that my furniture would be placed on hold so it would not be sold to anyone since it was paid for. Steve was my sales person and he left me completely disappointed. He got my delivery date wrong and the receptionist could not change it even though it was their error not to mention before that I was told by the same salesperson that my furniture may not be in stock. The situation became worse because I was told that it would be 2 weeks to delivery my furniture and there was no way to get it sooner after I had to move the date to the next day. I got my refund for the delievery fee and waited three days to get my furniture delivered from the warehouse to the store. I did not receieve a call saying my furniture was ready. All that was delivered was chairs, no table, no bedroom set, and no mattress. I was told days before that the stock was checked and my items had been put on reserve. I was told that my bedroom set that I already paid for would not be in stock until August when it was paid for a month in advance! Everything else would come in when it was in stock again. Not to mention they wanted to give me the mattress off the showroom floor how disgusting. I just got everything refunded because they do not value their customers and are selling products that they do not have. Please shop elsewhere. It was a waste of my time and I will never go there again.

I was able to find my new living room suit with such friendly and knowledgeable help from Julie, our salesperson. They also offer financing and delivery if needed. I did not have a good experience at this store. When I first arrived the assistant manager was eager to help me make a sale. Before I arrived I had already narrowed it down to two chairs. I chose to buy two of one chair and I paid cash. They have furniture shipping out of a warehouse in another state so don’t expect to leave with furniture that day.My chairs arrived so I drove back to Trussville to pick them up. I got home and only one chair worked. The second chair had a nail sticking out of it and one of the legs would not screw on because it was stripped. I called the store that evening and Kevin (the store manager) ordered me a new chair. They said it would take a few days. A week had passed and I did not hear anything so I called the store. They supposedly open at 11 am. I called 20 times until 11:20 and no one answered. No one!!!! I finally got a hold of someone and they transferred me to the back. Kevin, the store manager was not sure how to place me on hold and hung up on me. I called back again and was transferred again. Kevin said my chair was in and I could come swap out the chairs. So I drive down the next day. When I arrived I asked that they put the chair together so I could make sure that it worked. One of the legs would not screw in again. Deangelo Jones (one of the furniture loading people) was very helpful and tried to get another leg to work on the chair. Damien Lee was also very helpful. David who worked the register said that I could get a refund since the new chair didn’t work either. The more I looked at the chair it had purple spots on it. I decided I would return the second chair too. So I had to drive back to Trussville AGAIN for the third time in two weeks and I still would be leaving with no product. I expressed my frustration to the manager that I have now made 3 trips driving over an hour to pick this furniture up and I’m just out the gas and time because they are selling a defective product. Do NOT shop here!!! I ended up leaving Royal Furniture and I got everything I needed at Homegoods!!!!!Do NOT waste your time here!!!!! As I was leaving today another man was arriving returning a defective product!!

Great selection of beautiful furniture. We purchased a new bedroom suite as well as a new leather sofa. Upon delivery, the sofa was very slightly damaged. In fact, the delivery man had to point out the damage to me. He took photos, filed a report and let me know Royal would send us a new sofa. A few weeks later (sofa was backorderd for a short time) they delivered a brand new sofa to us. The delivery men were so helpful and friendly. They were very polite and conscientious as well, setting up the sofa for me and cleaning up all the wrapping. I would definitely recommend Royal Furniture!

The worse customer service I have seen. We paid for delivery but the guys that works for the company doesn’t care throw our furniture on the ground.My husband said he wasn’t going to have that. And to take it back. Then the manager said he would seen send new furniture back out with different men but that didn’t happen either. So in the end we had to go get our furniture ourselves and the was supposed to send us the $ 200.00 for the delivery fee plus $50.00 for our trouble which was a big slap in the face. Now this was over the Christmas holidays. Which we had to go get our couch on Christmas Eve and then we had to get our guest to help us get the couch and chair in the house. The manager from Royal Furnituretold us we would have our money in five to ten Business days. And as of today 1-15-2020 we DONT have our money nor has anyone called us to tell us why. So today my husband and he manager he put the request in but he will call and find out what’s going on.So people don’t go to this place for a quality furniture or customer service. Because will NOT get it.I will continue to put these comments out on this company until they have done their job.A very dissatisfied and disappointed customer.

I purchased a bonded leather couch from Royal Furniture that I paid $1100 for and if I wouldve known how HORRIBLE this material was I wouldnt have paid a penny for it! Within maybe 6 months my couch started peeling and cracking EVERYWHERE! Also the warranty that you can purchase sucks as well. This was my first and last purchase from Royal Furniture!Update: 07/21/2019Royal Furniture has reimbursed me for the couches that I purchased and I was able to buy another living room set! I will definitely buy from them again in the future because of the way this issue was solved! Thanks again! ☺

Today we visited Royal Furniture for the first time and were blessed to be assisted by Steve Harper. From the moment we entered the store, Steve made us feel welcome. Although my daughter and I are usually very reserved with strangers, Steve engaged us in a very open and genuine conversation; he answered absolutely all of our questions and provided great recommendations. I think often people are driven to online shopping because of the lack of personalization at a local store. But in our case, we are praying for direction on our decision and we look forward to having an opportunity to return to Royal Furniture. When we left the store, my daughter said “wow the people at this store are really nice”. I’m not sure about the generalization but I know from my work experience supporting sales centers all over the country that Steve stands out as an exceptional sales professional. We had a horrible experience with this company and will never spend another dime there!First our delivery date was not documented after we confirmed it with the salesman.Next our furniture was delivered damaged, then the next delivery date we were given they were a no-call no-show. Paid for a sofa and was told it would take 2 weeks to arrive. I called 7 weeks later and asked what happened to the sectional. They said I shouldnt have been told it would take 2 weeks to arrive because it normally takes 4 to 6 weeks. Silly comment because it was still late. Decided to wait and keep being patient. They said they would update me on the phone, but never did. When I called again they never gave me reassurances that the sectional would arrive, just said the manufacturer kept changing the date and there was nothing they could do. Finally, 12 weeks later I cancelled the order. Waiting 3 months for something they said would arrive in 2 weeks was my limit. Not worth the hassle and the terrible customer service.

If I could rate Royal Furniture off one person it would be a five star. I came in to purchase furniture for my entire place but the service was AWFUL. I walked around 15 minutes and nobody asked me if I needed anything. As others walked in that were white were helped instantly. I was very livid!!!!! As I walked out the store a woman by the name of TJ was walking in. She asked me what was wrong and I was so upset I kept going. Tj told me to stop and talk to her. I explained to TJ what just happen...TJ took me under her wing and help me find the perfect furniture and made my day. This place need more people like her. Workers shouldn’t just be standing around and color profiling. Even though I was indecisive TJ was patient with me!!!

DO NOT. I repeat, DO NOT purchase furniture from these crooks. They are a one time seller company, & could care less about you once you leave. We purchased this leather couch 3 weeks ago. So new & so rarely used due to business & school I had not even cut the tags off yet. Upon doing so, I found this nice little hole or nick etc. It clearly runs along the board of the armrest as my finger demonstrates & there it is right at the end. It’s clearly a compression type tear either from when the delivery guys were cramming it thru my door or possibly in shipping. Wife called customer service & sent pic. They did call back but said since we’d had it 3 weeks it could not be a manufacturers defect & there was absolutely nothing they could do. Didn’t even offer to suggest a good repair option....nothing! Do yourself a huge favor & go to Birmingham Wholesale or even drive to Dogtown. I can assure you that you’ll get 10x the quality, and they definitely will want your return business like most credible businesses. Hope it was worth a lousy $1100.00 to lose our business not to mention tell as many people as humanly possible to steer clear of you. Wife works with the public & rest assured she’ll get the word out. May not put a dent in your profit margin, but Royal will get swallowed up eventually by the market and replaced by business that actually cares about their customers. Stick your little from the owner response. It’s not sincere, &, frankly, it’s insulting!

Deciding to go to Royal Furniture in Trussville was definitely one of my better decisions! Found exactly what I was looking for with the help of Todd Barrentine who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and just plain fun to work with. And the delivery service was also excellent! Eric and Jesse were great and I wouldn’t want anyone but Eric and Jesse taking care of this process.Although there was an issue with the headboard, Eric and Jesse took photographs and instructed me to call Todd. I did and he reordered the headboard and now I am a very pleased customer who will return to Royal Funlrniture in Trussville for my future needs.

Im only giving it one star because I have to we dealt with Bill we picked out the sectional we wanted he did the credit check everything was good we gave them 400 dollars down was told we would receive our furniture within a week or so then they call 2 days later saying that they need 250 more dollars down so I went to get a refund they are so shaddy I dont recommend them to anyone

As soon as I walked in the sales associate went from beong rude, to creepy, to rude again, to me having to take my business to the Hoover store. The only problem is that I wanted to furnish my entire house and all I was about to do is seeing one bed (that I DEFINITELY will buy) and not being about to see anything else.

Excellent sales rep, Jade. I knew precisely what I wanted. Business kept me away for 3 weeks. Jade called to tell me piece I sought was 20% off. I drove over 4 hours one way to buy. Sure was glad that I did. Wayfair cant compete, as same piece cost $400 more and was lost on first order, damaged on 2nd shipment and canceled 3rd time. Royal is the place for me!

Im very disappointed in Royal Furnitures customer service from sales, office staff to management. The first time I purchased my headboard/footboard and nightstand the product and service was amazing. I wanted and raved about how amazing they were and how Ill be getting all my rooms from this location. I even sent two co workers to this location to purchase their living room set.I came back a few weeks later to buy a console table and had a polar opposite experience. The salesman was your typical used cars salesman mentality. He was rude and made me feel highly uncomfortable while there. I asked of there was a military discount and was told No, we dont have one except on veterans day. This was very disappointing a company that is this large and has been around as long as it has doesnt support the military. I of course was still going to get the table. The salesman than tells me there is a delivery fee. I didnt have a delivery fee the first time and I told him this but he gave me half off the delivery and $50 off the table to make the difference. I was grateful he tried and still pleased.I went to pay and the lady in the back running my card refused to give me the discount the salesman promised because the total on the bottom wasnt scratched off and he only adjusted the numbers on the top of the paperwork. I decided after being frustrated to not argue and accept the higher price.I then received a table a week later that was damages. It either has glued on cardboard or it was scratched off so much that the edge looks like cardboard.I called the office and the woman argued with me its distressed. This is clearly damaged and not distressed. I emailed pictures and called her back a few hours later and she said she was the only one there and couldnt help me but she would call me back needless to say she didnt. I then wrote an email to management and received a message back from Steve that resolved no issues, had no customer service and implied I was wrong and his staff was correct.This place is great if you want rude service and to take the risk of receiving damaged items and being stuck with it. My first delivery was wonderful, my second was horrible. I personally do not want to deal with rude staff and managers while paying $560 for a table that is damaged.***Shop at your own risk***See pictures

Friendly and will work with youIts been 5 months since we bought our queen size mattress we paid alittle over $500.00 to some that may not mean much but for that it equals 1/2 amonth salary for me. The mattress has already broken down . It sleeps worse than the one we threw away. Now what we do? Anyone got an answer? Sure cant afford another!

I would like to say that Royal furniture has some nice pieces. My saleswoman was well knowledgeable on quality and made sure we were taken care of from the first day of our long process. Chrystal Jade Bridges is well educated in the business and in her customer service skills! Jade worked with us for hours once we finally came in to make our purchase after closing. The lights went out and she managed to work with 3 families ALL AT THE SAME TIME while systems were down and lights were off. My four year old daughter was with us and Jade as well as Mathew at the desk made sure Zoie was comfortable. For instances gave her doughnuts, juice, and access to the tv on the sales floor to keep her occupied. Ms. Jade is quite passionate in her field of work and holds Royal furniture at a high standard. The only reason I am a returning customer is because of her. I give her 10 stars but unfortunately my experience with delivery and the manager was not the best. My dresser appeared to be damaged because the delivery guys left the product unaligned and the doors would not close. Also, the delivery guys gave my tables to another customer. The manager never contacted me and I had to go into the store days later to get the ball rolling on solving the problem. The manager then informed me that he was at the mercy of the other customer (his exact words)because they were in her home. He wanted me to get the same tables from her instead of getting new tables ordered and sent to me from the warehouse I had to wait for her to give those back. Honestly I think that statement was pointless and diminished my value as a customer who actually PAID for those tables. Needless to say the manager Mr. Jeff only gave me excuses and until I made him hold hisself accountable that he dropped the ball and the lack of communication was not acknowledged. If I wouldn’t have came into the store four days later after waiting to be contacted Mr. Jeff wouldn’t have understood the lack of customer service that was displayed. The situation is still being handled but at least everyone is aware and Ms. Jade took care of my family BEYOND EXPECTATIONS! Thank you for all that you do Ms. Chrystal Jade Bridges!
