I can not say enough about the team at Automasters. I brought them my 1 week old 2020 Jeep Gladiator in search of help with a lift, tires, and wheels. Once my parts arrived, Levon went above and beyond to get me in and out in one day. And let me tell you, it looks amazing! They even helped my girlfriend with a flat tire the same day! All at a more than fair price which was detailed up front so that there wasnt any surprises. Those guys are awesome, always do the job right. But most important they are very honest people. They always tell you the true about what needs to be fixed. Not too common in many car shops. Also they price is very reasonable.

I was nervous about getting new tires since I dont know much about cars. The guy on the phone was so nice and patient with me. The tires were a reasonable price and nothing extra was found wrong with my car. (I had been reading reviews for other places nearby about young women being mislead.) I had a great, pleasant experience at Automasters. Will definitely go back if I need something else done to my car.

Made an appointment a few days ahead of time for oil change and state inspection. When I got there, they were ready for me and didnt complain when I decided I needed new wiper blades and asked them to blow out a length of plugged tubing which has nothing to do with the car. I dont go anywhere else if I can help it.

Mark and staff are top notch. Over the past 8 or so years Ive taken 10 year old cars to him and new cars (all manual transmission), and their work is always great. Honest and fair pricing. Ill continue to go there for service and repairs for all of my vehicles needs.

I cant recommend this business enough, I have been taking my cars here for years. Ive had instances of other shops telling my mother she was looking at $1000+ in repairs when mark would tell us the true issue and fix for under $100. This is finally a place you can go and not be worried if youre getting a fair deal, Mark will take care of you!

Good quality service...and their fast.

Got me in on short notice for a battery replacement on a bitter cold winter day. Replaced the battery quickly with good customer service at a reasonable price (~$125 total). Im definitely coming back here for any future auto needs. I was also able to catch a CP 2975 Dragonite across the street during my wait.

Just my opinion that these guys do excellent work, and care about their customers.

Over a year ago I took my car to Automasters because my previous mechanic seemed to be making uncessary recommendations. First breaks, then struts and so on. Mark, the owner, took my car out for a test drive and then put it on the lift to check everything out. As suspected, the guys at Automasters reported no issues and didnt even charge me for their time.Bottom line, Mark and the guys at Automasters are the real deal. Highly recommended.

I have been searching for a reputable mechanic for the past 4 years in the Capital Region - and this is the first one to meet all my requirements: excellent customer service, economical pricing, and above all - honesty.I just had my 2006 Ford Explorer serviced there (fuel filter change) and the service I received has never been matched at prior mechanics. Mark (the owner) knew me by name by the time the transaction was complete. At no point was I pushed other services that were unneeded (as other auto service establishments are known to do).If you are in the Capital Region and looking for a good mechanic, this is the auto mechanic to go to - especially if you are in the Wynantskill - South Troy - North Greenbush area.

As much as I would like to be the next review raving about how great the service was at Automasters, I most certainly cannot. What was supposed to be a routine tune-up on an already decently running 1978 ford thunderbird, turned into a $500+, two week fiasco.When I brought the thunderbird in for a standard state inspection, I was greatly impressed by the fact that Mark instructed one of the mechanics to grease the squeaking hinges of both doors. Naturally I assumed a tune-up would receive the same attention to detail as an inspection. When I dropped the thunderbird off at the shop on Monday, Mark instructed me that I should be able to pick It up in about two days and the total cost should be around $100-$150. 3 days later I called the shop to check on the status of the tune up to be informed that there were some issues with water in the gas tank, which I found to be strange considering the old gas was drained from the tank and replaced with new gas right before dropping off the car. Mark said he was putting things back together and that he would let me know when it was ready to be picked up. Monday of the following week I received a call that my thunderbird was ready to be picked up and was running like it was brand new. Upon arriving at the shop to retrieve my car I was informed that the total bill for all of the work came to $420, at this point I am a little frustrated considering the circumstances, but am understanding due to the nature and age of the vehicle. I hop in the car and start to drive off only to find that stepping on the gas causes only engine sputtering and limits my speed to about 20mph. I immediately return to the shop where Mark instructs me to run ½ a tank of gas through the engine and things should improve.After things do not even remotely improve with ¼ of a tank, I return to Automasters hoping Mark and the guys will correct the issue. 4 days later I receive a call that the car is ready and return to the shop to find that they have drained all of the gas again, removed and cleaned the fuel sending unit, and corrected issues with tuning of the carburetor. Mark then informs me that this will cost $140 and that he did in fact take it for a test drive this time to be sure that it was running correctly. When I mentioned to Mark that I had felt a bit taken advantage of here, he responded with the explanation that you can never be sure with old cars.All in all, while I would love to be able to recommend this seemingly great local repair shop to anyone and everyone looking for a friendly atmosphere with reasonable prices, I wouldn’t feel right sending anyone with an older vehicle there. Mark is an extremely friendly and down to earth guy, but this was certainly not the experience I was looking for when needing a routine tune-up.
