Zach and his team from Floor Trader of Tacoma are amazing. We’re a military family moving to the area and Zach helped me find a beautiful wood laminate using Face time. I was able to use one of their recommended installers. Zach gave us a fair price and worked with us and our renovation schedule. They are great!!

This place is amazing! Shannon helped us tremendously! From the moment we walked in... We were frazzled, just bought a house that we didn’t realize what we were getting ourselves into, he made the process super simple, never once was stressed! We picked floors for our entire house, carpet and vinyl plank. Even when the only carpet we liked didn’t have enough he made it right and found us a better quality at the same price. The flooring was the simplest part of our remodel of our entire house! I am completely impressed and recommend this company and Shannon to everyone! We have been here a few times over the years. This time we had to go in for bath tile and flooring. My least favorite.... but the Zach made it really easy and was super nice the whole time! Would really recommend them for all your flooring needs!

We purchased flooring for our kitchen when the scheduled day came the installer never showed up when I called him he said that he mixed it up and would have to reschedule the following week . With my kitchen all ready tore apart I had no choice but to pick up the flooring to install it myself . After laying the 1st box and finding several pieces warped and the locking system very poorly designed I decided to return it . They would only credit me for boxes that I did not open even though the box count was right . When I asked why they got rude and said that they didnt have to give me a refund at all due to being a close out and did not want to discuss the installer not showingup . But the warehouse guy told me that it was ordered and the customer returned it and the manufacturer wouldnt take it back . There was no consideration for the inconvenience of my kitchen being cleared out for the installer that didnt show or the garbage product that I received and it cost me 187.00 for the lesson to learn to take the remainder of my business elsewhere

Needing just a little bit o carpet & flooring I treked off to The Floor Trader. I was dreading it in a way because I hate high pressure sales people, and as my default thats what I expected. I was greeted right away by Zach. I explained that I was just going to look around. As I strolled and petted the carpets I kept looking to see how close my stalker was, but to my surprise that was not the case. When I was ready with questions it was if Zach had read my mind and seemingly by magic he was by my side with his wealth of knowledge. What an outstanding shopping experience! We had a great experience with this store and their employees! Currently getting new carpet in the bedrooms of our house and so far, so good. The store had the most remenant carpet than the others; we were trying to save some money but it ended up being cheaper to get the same new carpet in all rooms.Our family went to a few other places, 2 of which no one ever acknowledged us, coming in, nor shopping, it was disappointing and not helpful. Here we were acknowledged and helped right away. Had rooms measured today and install in 2 weeks! Were excited!

I went to The Floor Trader Outlet to purchase a small remnant of carpet. I’m building a little step for my elderly cat. Lucy Dilay helped me find one that was the right size and color. I’m not going to disclose the price, but let’s just say my wallet was the same thickness when I left as when I arrived.Because of Lucy’s wonderful attitude and her generosity, I will definitely patronize Floor Trader when I put new floors in my bedroom next year. We spent the full day looking for something to meet our flooring needs and after visiting multiple other locations we found Floor Trader Tacoma. We had been here before but somehow missed taking the turn this time and before turning around noticed signs for other flooring places and thought we would just see what they had.After spending far too long with each and just getting frustrated with the customer care, we got in our car and searched down Floor Trader. Walked in to a warm greeting from Adam and friendly direction given to the area of the store we were needing. After we were allotted a perfect time to look at what they had Adam walked up to help us define exactly what we desired and then facilitated the purchase.Another amazing experience here. We drove all the way to a competitor in Tukwila to check out what they had to offer just to come back here. Great service, good selection and not a pushy sales person asking personal info. Adam was so helpful and gave us great service and we bought our vinyl flooring from him the same day ( checked out HD to compare as well) he explained the vinyl flooring and gave us great valuable tips for wear and tear.Next time I’ll just go see them and buy.Great service !!

I wish I knew about this place sooner! I was shopping around for flooring for months and never found the laminate I needed. It wasn’t until I walked in and Zack IMMEDIATELY knew the flooring I was looking for wasn’t even made anymore. Instead, he helped me find a laminate that was even better than I planned. This has been a circuitous, but gratifying experience. I was doing a whole house remodel and needed carpet for the bedrooms. The carpet was ordered and installed beautifully, but it was the wrong carpet. When I contacted Adam, he and Dean came through ordered the right carpet without any complaints or attempt to place the blame for the error on me. In todays world that is almost unheard of and I very much appreciate it. I had the occasion to re-order a different carpet and Adam not only got it in in record time, but he put me together with an excellent installer, Alex. All in all a terrific experience and floor trader of Tacoma is my new go-to flooring store.

THEY GO THE EXTRA MILE.Best flooring company around I was trying to decide between home depot and floor trader at first but there selection, customer service, prices, and warranty are far better then home depot and now Im buying my 4th set of flooring from them. These guys know how to take care of there customers, I made an error and mesured wrong on my carpet and THEY offered to deliver it to my house for free same day within the hour so the installer could finish my carpet today. Im beyond happy with Adam at floor traderandn will bring all my business to these guys.

Kind of frustrated right now, this is the 2nd time using Floor Trader of Tacoma and the service we are getting from one of their distributors is terrible. Its taking 2 months to get started on converting our stairs from carpet to wood due to inefficient ordering of bullnose pieces to being told they would be here at a certain time then being pushed out a month and now more delays. Im already paying for materials that havent even been installed in my house yet! I hope all this aggravation is worth it in the end or I will not be using this place again for any further projects.

My wife and I purchased over 500 square foot of carpet at a a very competitive price. We are happy to say that we are satisfied with our overall experience at the Floor Trader. Amy was both helpful and enjoyable to work with. She recommended Alex and his team to do the installation, which was outstanding. We would do business with them again.

I was leaving the neighboring big box improvement store, unlucky in my flooring needs. As I was driving out I saw the store and decided to do a quick drive in … hoping to sneak through the crowds and see options. Zach approached me at the door and asked about the product I thought I needed. Small, quick fix in an area that would be mostly hidden. He immediately took me to the remnant flooring area and helped me picked a remnant that would be totally suitable. Being a leftover … he gave it to me! With advice on how to finish the edge to ensure it stayed perfect. It was such a relief to have the customer service, not rushed, and full expertise at my hands. It made me rethink using a big box for these more specific and detailed products. This was the help I was desperate for. Thanks!

Worked with zach. Hes is a boss. He will go out of his way to make you happy and do anything within reason. Had some issues with the color of the toes for the stairs and he even went as far as to come to my house to see what I was talking about after he got off work. Highly recommend these guys . They are great!

The project manager wasnt available that we were told to go see. He was on vacation. So we dealt with someone who said they were the son of the owner. He took all of our information and choices and said that he would give it to the project manager person for specific dimensions and measurements for a quote. Weeks went by. No quote. I called for the owners son and he wasnt available. Then I asked for the project manager. He wasnt there either and wouldnt be for another few days. Still dont have a quote. So I email today (a little over a week later since the phone call) and ask for a status. I get told that my builder has the quote. I ask for it and he says I have to get it from the builder. What? You cant give me the number? Like I have to get it from the builder? What if I was purchasing it on my own. Would I still need to get the quote from the builder? Seriously? Now Im looking for different floor people when Im in crunch time.

We bought a name brand waterproof laminate product at a big box store, and it was a nightmare trying to do a simple rectangle space in our RV. The pieces just didnt fit together well, and the important edges broke apart with any force at all. When it was time to do our kitchen, there was no way were going to do that again, so we went on over to Floor Traders. Zach showed us the greatly improved products available in awesome colors, and the price was very fair. Putting it in was so much easier, and it looks great. Im very happy with my experience and highly recommend Floor Traders and Zach if you like high quality, knowledgeable service, and a good price. Thanks, Zach!

Sunday was my first time visiting Floor Trader after finding their business via a Google search for flooring stores in Tacoma. Shannon Bradley greeted me quickly and gave outstanding service right up to end of my 1.5 hour time shopping when he offered to carry the laminate samples out to my car. I could not have been happier with every aspect of my visit. Selection, service and price were all excellent. I will be ordering my new counter tops from them in addition to the flooring. Zach the staff greeted me and looked my account (about 15 year-old ) and gave me a discount for return customer on top of already on sale. The time when I pickup the carpet, i realize i need 6 by 9 vinyls, he helped me to pick one and gave it for great deal with smile. I definitely come back when I need something more.

Ive been shopping at floor traders since 2015. Aside from having the best prices, quality and biggest variety their customer service is second to none! Love these guys!

We have made two purchases with Floor Trader in the past six months. The first one was for vinyl and the most recent one was for laminate flooring. They are highly professional and very knowledgeable. Their installer was courteous, on time, and did excellent work. Very satisfied.

I dont review anything online but am going to make an exception for these guys. First off, Id like to mention that Home Depot was a nightmare with 3-4 different parties involved. I had to order in the store, have a measurement taken by a contractor the installed by a 3rd group. It took 2 weeks to get the measurements done then the home depot contractor told me he couldnt get to me for over a month.Now the Floor Traders - Absolutely awesome. I was helped by Zach( I think that was his name!) Super friendly, helped me pick out the best carpet in my price range and gave me pros/cons for each of the other samples we were looking at. They sent one of their contractors out to measure the rooms the next day(home depot wouldnt give me the measurements even though i paid for them to do it, they said it was their information?what?). After measurements the carpet installers came out 3 days later and did an awesome job. Very satisfied with the whole experience. This was back in October and I felt bad for not giving them a review sooner.

Easiest buying experience Ive ever had! Travis helped me pick my floors in under half an hour. Alex with ProFloorz LLC did the install and his team was amazing! We had two feet of snow that delayed the start of the job but he was in constant contact with me. He finished the job quickly and everything went smoothly. The prices for the flooring and the install were a steal! I couldnt be happier with the buying process and installation. I would recommend both Travis and Alex to anyone.

I am so disappointed in my end experience with Floor Traders in Tacoma. We had wall to wall flooring put into a house we are getting ready to sell. The quality and pricing of the flooring I felt was good and Zach the manager was helpful and very personable. But... Floor Traders has contractors who do the installation and HIGHLY recommended a guy, Mario Pellegrini of MP Flooring. He showed up hours late for meeting times, and after he was fully paid, couldnt get him to finish the job and FIX the mistakes they made. After contacting Mario on multiple occasions to be put off and ignored, I went back to the Tacoma store. I ultimately ended up talking with the owner, Dean Paulson, who insinuated that I was lying. Floor Traders shame on you... this is not the first complaint you have had on this guy. You handled this poorly.
