Have used Surratt for tires and maintenance (plugs, brakes, manual trans, transfer case, state inspection) on two vehicles. Shop is clean and organized. Staff is pleasant, listens, and answers questions clearly. Work is completed in the time promised and for the price quoted (or you get a call explaining the changes before the work is done).

New to the area and tried this business for the first time when I needed an inspection. I was hopeful after reading the good reviews, however was really disappointed when they charged me $45 to replace a turn signal light that took maybe 10 minutes tops. It also seems strange to me that I needed it replaced to pass inspection, according to them, as I had no indicators of that when driving my car, as I normally would.

Surratt Auto Center is fantastic! I recently moved to Staunton and needed my car tuned up, new tires, and state inspection, as well as a new spare and jack. They took care of everything for me and treated me well. This especially meant a lot to me because I am Deaf. They did everything through text messaging and all went beautifully. I recommend them. You might find better prices elsewhere, but you cant beat the service here!

The last couple times my car has been serviced here. All required manufacturers recommended service and some labor intensive work. They did just what they said and very professionally. Having spent half my life in the car business I give a full recommendation to Surratt Auto Center. Great bunch of people.

What a terrific experience. We traveled from PA on Thursday for an antique show in Fishersville. Experienced brake problems on Friday. Surratt took the car in and diagnosed the problem. Loaned us a vehicle at no charge for the weekend as the work could not be completed until Monday. Notified us Monday the repairs were complete and priced just as promised. Bill and staff were all so friendly and accommodating! Real Southern Hospitality at its best! Still amazed at how friendly, accommodating, and professional they are!

Total rip off they changed six spark plugs and ignition coil total cost was 765 which included there diagnostic fee of $130. Staff was nice and you get a gift bag. Won’t be returning.

Appointment was scheduled for repair work. For front end of my truck. I liked the fact I received a text the day before confirming my appointment. Additional work was requested by me and that was not a problem. I was kept informed as to my cost. Very informative. Very nice. I was able to do a drop off and pick up after hours which helped a lot due to my work schedule. The truck drives great. The care package left in the truck for me was a plus. I will be going back for future work and services.

I was in a fender bender accident right in front of Surratt Tire, and was unable to drive my car home. After meeting Bill Surratt, I was pleased to know Surratt Tire was an approved shop with my insurance company and was able to complete all the needed repairs. They did a state inspection on short notice and were able to replace one of our headlights, all at a very reasonable cost. It was so quick that I stayed in their waiting room, started doing some office work and didnt even have time to finish the phone call I was on. Highly recommended.

The folks at Surratts Auto performed a thorough inspection of my transmission today! They sat down with me and gave an honest assessment of what they found. I really appreciated there effort to trouble shoot my issue with my transmission AND WAS MORE DETAILED ORIENTED THAN MY DEALERSHIP! They offer free Drinks (hot coffee as well) and there waiting area is a nice size/with cable Tv!!!

Came in for an inspection, but didnt realize I needed an appointment. The staff were so great and got me in the same day and had my car ready before the scheduled time. They gave me a list of recommendations for my vehicle which were all known issues to me, so this showed me they were an honest company. Everyone was friendly and professional. Will definitely be returning.

Over charge, i dont trust this place anymore.

About 2 weeks ago I was rear-ended. The damage looked minimal, but to hedge my bets, I took the car in for a once over. Turns out there was more damage than was immediately visible (exhaust system). Jess and Bill (the owner) both worked with the other persons insurance company and kept me in the loop through the entire process. My car looks brand new and Im so happy to have it back!

Another shop in town had my car for 24 hours and didnt even get to it (with an appointment!) Surratt was able to fit me in last minute and get state inspection, brake/rotor replacement, battery replacement, oil change, plus some manufacturer recommended service all finished by early afternoon. Everyone in the office is so friendly and wears a mask, so the whole experience was very pleasant and felt safe. Our whole family will be coming to Surratt from now on!

Our experience was perfect. We called, told them the problem with our Jeep and that we were not in a hurry as it is not a daily driver. We dropped it off and soon received a text from Bill ( the owner) with a timeline. A short time later I got a text with full details of the problems and a detailed estimate. We gave him the go ahead and a few days later he texted and called to let us know it was ready.I loved doing business by text. Clear info, a written record and no phone tag.Drive the Jeep off the lot and it was like driving a new vehicle.We will go back for sure.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. You would be better off going to an auto parts store. My girlfriend took her car her because of a check engine light, which they would not scan. They charged $70 for an oil change that she didnt even want. They didnt do the full diagnostics and still wanted to charge us over $200. They ran her card before we were even told the price of anything. We werent informed of hardly anything they did. Dont waste your time with these people. On top of all this the owner personally messaged her being pushy about why we were having the car towed elsewhere. When we called and spoke to them they were once again inappropriately pushy when we made it clear we were done with their poor services.

The work was fine the labor costs exhorbitant. They charge twice what the average labor charge is foir this area. Picked up my vehicle and the bill was %30 higher than estimate!! Wont use them again.

Truly a top-notch company they were able to fit me in right away saved me a bunch of money as compared to other local shops got my vehicle working perfectly I highly recommend all to use and I could say for me Im a customer for now on...

We had a great experience with both our Honda and Acura at Surratt. The vehicles both drive like they are brand new! Everyone at Surratt is friendly and helpful and I loved that they texted me updates and questions as they assessed our vehicles and then performed the necessary services. I was referred by a friend to Surratt Auto Center since the shop I was using was sold to a national firm. My air conditioner needed replacing.I was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of the work performed. I returned a few weeks later to have more work done on my car with the same quality of work being performed.Their service facility is spotless and their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.As a result of their work we had them perform the 120,000 mile service on our Lexus with the same satisfaction for their work.I truly believe you can trust these people with your car and that they will terat you well.I know this seems like a testimonial that is too favorable but its all true and Im not related to these people so it is legit.

Was very helpful had to have water pump replaced on my tahoe. Asked of they ever dealt with cars protection plus warranty they said yes. So had it towed to them. They called me the next day they was open to let me know what the warranty place said an was not to happy about it they would only cover $130 of the $930 it would be to fix vehicle. I asked what would be if didnt use an payed out of pocket. The warranty company wanted them to order the part from them or on of their affiliate an if did go that way would be about 3 weeks to get vehicle back an could not wait that long. Surratt order the part not through warranty place an fixed my vehicle an I daid for them to not go through warranty cause of the amount of time It would take to get part. They went to work on it an by the afternoon the next day they called an said your vehicle is ready to be picked up. And the even had a way to pay the bill. The service was A ++ will for sure use them again if vehicle needs work. But warranty place no stars was not the service that Iexperienced at SURRATT AUTO. THANKS TO ALL AT SURRATT AUTO great place an people service was above an beyond

I love my 2002 Jeep Liberty and I love Surratt Tire and Auto. They have kept her going and have never given up on her. During a recent spate of old car events, Bill and his staff did not give up until my engine was almost new again. Bill tells you the truth, your options and is good to his word. Jess and the mechanics are courteous, funny and knowledgeable! If you want fair, honest, good work and great customer service...Surratt is for you!

I brought my van in for new front brakes and rotors, brake fluid service, transmission service, oil change, and a few other things. When I picked my van up, they informed me that they had taken apart my front and rear brake assembly, cleaned everything, but that they were still in good working order, so they were not replaced. They easily could have just replaced them, because I thought I needed them, and made another almost $600 from me, but they are good honest people.Additionally, they are very friendly, and fast. Surratt will always be where my family brings our cars for tires or service.Oh, and they leave a candy and a thank you note on your dashboard. A tiny detail, but I love little gestures that show they appreciate their customers!

A++ shop maybe not the cheapest but I have never had to come back for anything they have done.. The tech will come out and talk to you also if you have any questions..

Bill and Surratt are my go-to shop for car work. They do professional work using talented techs for a fair price. Look, nothing is cheap anymore. But compared to the dealerships, Surratt is a bargain. You do need to call ahead for an appointment, although a new tech is coming on so that may help with backlog.Cant say enough about how I feel the service is very personal. Justin and Bill both listen to my input about my 2013 370Z and thoroughly explain what work they have done and why it was necessary.Kudos to the whole staff. Give them a try if you are fed up with your mechanic.

Took my vehicle for inspection and they failed everything, some are knowledgeable about vehicles folks and you failed things that shouldnt have been. Would not recommend! Then you send a text wanting to do the work. No thanks!

I like the 2 year warranty that accompanies most of the repairs. They literally worked on 1 of my vehicles covered by the warranty on a previous repair, for a complicated and stubborn issue, for 3 full days and once fixed there was absolutely no charge. I’ve asked to have work performed on certain issues I thought were needed and they’ve come back with it wasn’t needed at this time. I trust them which is hard to find in the automotive repair industry.

We found Surratt by chance when we had car issues on a road trip. Courteous, professional, very helpful.Not a reason to choose a shop, but they also offer the best coffee in the customer waiting room of any service I’ve been to.

I was certain that it was a major issue but thanks to the diagnostics and knowledge of the crew at Surratt auto, it turned out to be much less severe. Any dealership would just replaced it but Surratt Auto saved me thousands!

Took my car for inspection. Waited an hour and a half they still had my car in the bay. Two things were failed one was a license plate bulb and the other was my defroster. I informed the owner that the defroster works you have to turn the knob to a certain speed. I had them bring my car back out turned my defroster on and it worked her got in my car said it didn’t work (my fan clicks when changing the angle of the blower which does NOT affect my defroster) I then turned it back to the set speed my defroster works on he agreed to take it back into the bay that it must work. I said ok that’s fine fix my light and let me go I’ve been here an hour and a half y’all are looking for something to fail my car! He walks out the doors I go to sit down he comes back in said it stopped working I’m not passing it! I was irate! He had turned it back off but didn’t realize it had to be on the third speed for it to work! Again my fan clicks but my heat, air conditioner and defrost works! Who fixes something that isn’t broke? I will include I am a woman who is not an idiot when it comes to these things the owner also suggested they could fix it while they had it there. $$$$ that’s what they wanted it’s how most shops do and THIS IS ONE OF THOSE SHOPS! . If it’s not broke I am not fixing it! It might not work to his standard but the defroster worked and I was still failed! I would NEVER recommend them for va state inspection or anything else! Crooks!
