Recently had 2 of my cars worked on at Imported Cars of Stamford and I am happy with the end results, the problem I have is with George the owner. Paid over $3000 for both cars but George refuses to give me an itemized receipt, Called George, emailed & texted him multiple times but still no response even though he told me he would give me one. Both cars bills were paid in full so I am confused as to why no itemized receipt, are you hiding something ??

At last I found a very good mechanic for my Mercedes. These days its tough to find a mechanic who is genuine and fair pricing. George is both. His pricing is very reasonable. I made a last minute call to replace my break pads and rotors and he set me up for a Saturday morning appointment on a LONG WEEKEND. I live in NJ and as I am visiting Stamford, I have to wait for my car to be serviced and George replaced my break pads and rotors by the time I grabbed my coffee and finished breakfast. All this at a very reasonable price. Once again thanks George.

Had a great experience with the team at ICS. I dropped the car off in the morning for routine maintenance and it was ready by the end of the day, as it had been promised. Great shop. reliable work, cost efficient when compared to dealer, honest owner and workers. The guys here are awesome, they offered to give me a lift to work and pick me up. They send me photos of the issues and the parts being used in my car. Offer me alternatives other then robbing me. Pretty much walked me trough them working on my car every step of the way. If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my Audi in for a check engine light. As it was in the shop I was driving around in another car and noticed my car in my a gas station in the town over. George lended it to someone else to drive (who looked like a homeless person), and when I approached him I found that he had been going food shopping with my car and had his fishing gear in it. I demanded he give me my car back. In the end of the day the check engine light was still on and wasn’t fixed! I’ve lost a lot of trust in mechanic shops because of George.

Ive been to a few shops here in Stamford for my cars but this place takes the cake! 100% honest, open, and upfront. Everyone hates that uneasy feeling of not knowing if youre actually getting the work done that youre paying for. Not here! This caused the check engine light and close gas cap alerts to show up on the vehicle computer. Among other things - I needed to repair to pass state inspection. I had been quoted a high repair cost estimate from both the dealership and another Stamford shop. I saw good reviews on Google for ICS, so I dropped my car off with George, and he took a look, called me a few hours later, and offered a different approach to the repair which was far less extensive and thus much more affordable then the other options I had been given. I appreciate that kind of problem solving. He also drove the X1 to give the computer time to reset and got it inspected and passed. To cap it off, he was friendly and easy to talk too, obviously knows and loves cars, and I will definitely use ICS again. Thanks George!

Phenomenal experience. Really. Never in my life have I had my car serviced and then immediately went on the internet to write a glowing review. I previously had my car serviced at another shop nearby and was told I was getting OEM parts and I didnt know any better until there was an issue. I ended up bringing my car to Imported Cars of Stamford based on the strength of all their customer reviews. Short story, at the other place I wasnt getting the OEM parts I was told and was suffering through some maintenance issues as a result of poor quality parts. I was experiencing problems with my transmission because it sat for almost seven years. I called George, his response was bring your Mercedes S500 in right away. I drove down from Meriden and it was well worth the drive. George’s Ace Certified Tech to flush the transmission and put in a new filter kit. I called Imported cars and spoke to George regarding an overheating issue, he immediately offered to come pick me up as I was on the side of the hyway. We managed to get the car running and to the shop and he handed me the keys to his personal car and said I will call you in the morning. I was taken back as most garages don’t do this and thankful at the same time. The next day he was texting pictures of all the work they had done. Again other shops don’t do this a lot especially the dealers. George called me the next day to pick up my car as I arrived he had coffee waiting and I was off to work. Had ICS install a front lip on my 2015 BMW 335i. The lip was cheap and had its own cheap lip fitment challenges, but ICS worked through them and even allowed me to return the next day to work out the rest of the kinks when they became prevalent. Will be returning again for future installs.

About a month ago I took my bmw 6 series back from dealerships after 4 weeks of diagnostics They couldn’t figure it what was wrong with it. Then when i went to ICS in Stamford the owner George had my car running next day.Guys are very friendly and honest, George was very nice and straight to the point.
