We had an excellent experience with Chris buying a longboard setup for my daughter. Chris was super knowledgeable, friendly and even went through a brief history and explanation as to what skateboard would best suit her. My wife ended up demoing the one wheel and picked up a second longboard as well. We had a lot of fun and felt like we were just hanging out with friends. Will definitely be back for any of our outdoor needs.

Four out of five only because with sporting goods stores a five is just over the top with a rock wall. Also, sometimes you have to wait for assistance for a while. Otherwise, great place to go in town if you need any gear. Big five is limited in selection compared to these folks, and they have anything you need for the water or the mountain.

Great selection of golf discs. Innova, Discraft, Dynamic, and the one I cant recall. Very reasonable prices (Innova DX are $10) and a very friendly staff. If you are in Tahoe and disc golf, this store is a must.

Chris is the one wheel guru! Answered any question we had about the one wheel and even gave us our first lesson! Extremely knowledgeable and professional!

I was very impressed how big this sports store is and all the various items and sports they have items for. I only expected to see snow and winter gear but they have things for way more than this like an electric mountain bike.

We had a wonderful experience at Sports Ltd’s ski boot department. I highly recommend (and cannot recommend this enough) anyone who is looking to purchase ski boots to visit Sports Ltd. Patrick spent over 2 hours helping me find the best fitting stock boot for my unusually sized feet and calves. He was extremely detail oriented and asked a lot of questions to make sure I am completely comfortable in the boots. By the next ski trip, I went from crying after 2 runs in rental boots to bombing down the mountain in 9 runs. I returned to the store needing some modifications and Patrick went above and beyond to get the modified boot back to me before I left town. The boot fitting experience at Sports Ltd is something that your ski feet deserve!

I read previous feedback about buying swimming suit. I also purchased a swimming suit. I think the service is fine. Size and style is limited but I think it is supply and demand issue.After all, I still feel thankful that I can buy a swimming suit in this store. Supporting local store is a good thing in this holiday season.

While the store was very busy, an associate took the time to go into the back to look for an item. She found it and was very pleasant. Great experience!

All gear for ALL sports - and great/helpful staff! Boot fitting staff was extremely knowledgeable and willing to spend the time to get you into not just any boot, but the PERFECT boot. Most other staff are equally educated in their gear (skis, bikes, fishing, camping, etc) -- whle waiting to talk with Patrick, I had the opportunity to listen to him explain the ins and outs of new bindings to a shopper today - he was perfect in explaining everything: cost, best uses, and after asking the shopper some questions, was able to make two pointed recommendations. It was also telling that other shops in the area referred me to Tahoe Sports Ltd!

Spent around 2,000 dollars on gear there and the pair of binding had a strap that has malfunctioned 3 times within a week. I asked to swap out the bindings and the guy told me he wouldn’t take returns or swap them out. I am forced to go directly to the company to return brand new faulty hardware. DONT buy gear from here, they won’t help you if they sell something broken. Called us tourist because my girlfriend was learning how to ride. Honestly disgusted by thus shop. Plenty of other shops in town that aren’t geared and focused on screwing over they think are tourists.

Went in to buy some swim wear and had one item I didnt want. I ask the guy behind the counter if he can put it back for me and he told me he doesnt work at the swim wear department. so I left the item at the counter and he asked if I am going to put it back. Very poor customer service

Chedwick (probably spelled his name wrong) took the time to fit my fiance for her first pair or ski boots. We grew tired of having to rent and with the included discomfort. He spent probably close to an hour and a half and even taught her a lot of boot fundamentals. I even learned something new. She got to try on 3 different boots that would be good for her foot shape and size. Thank you again for your time and wisdom.Youve earned a customer for life.Ps sign up for their loyalty program.We will be back to purchase ski and bindings when shes ready.

LTD and their staff are absolutely amazing. Im a local and have been buying my boots there for years. I was at Kirkwood on 1-2-20 and while lacing up my Salomon Malamute my top hook set for my laces went flying off. Called Salomon warranty Dept and they gave me a parts number to order. Called LTD and talked with a few folks till I was talking with Christina. She rocks! I stopped in today 1-4-2020 after work and she was more than happy to give me a new hook set and screw. This is why I always buy my boots from LTD, their staff and company always stands behind their products. Im going on a 4 day snowboarding venture starting tomorrow.......you saved my trip LTD! Above and beyond like always! I called after my experience today to tell a manager my story. Ive always had the best experience when buying any of my gear here at LTD, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Thank you LTD!

I went in to have a rope cut just after opening. One of the staff members I spoke with about gear was defensive and curt with me the whole time. It was rude. Hopefully not all the service is this unpleasant.

Came to Tahoe for some snow boarding. Found out my jacket didnt fit. Most places didnt carry my size, but this place had multiple options in my size 3x and bigger. Ally(?) Was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back to this store for any of my winter sports needs.

When I tried to talk ask how I could get in toucjh with owner, I got a manager named Ally who had a worse attitude. I see why the employees are so poorly trained. Sorry Mr. Gant, you should make yourself accessable to your customers before you lose them all.

Best Sporting outfitting store anywhere. THEY SET THE STANDARD FOR TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE. Two years ago I had all my golf and hiking gear stolen at the Reno airport. I went to Tahoe Sports Ltd. and the staff were so wonderful. They re-outfitted all my equipment customized to my needs. They helped me find the best fitting hiking boots I have ever owned. (My feet are difficult to fit.) Two years later, again on vacation, one of my hiking boots was coming apart at the seems. I went back to Tahoe Sorts Ltd. simply to obtain advice and some kind of adhesive. To my delight, they looked at the boot, determined it was a warranty issue, and replaced the boots at their suggestion. All the staff were wonderful, the selection of equipment is excellent. I can not say enough good things about Tahoe Sports Ltd.

Great boot fitting experience. I brought my 14 year old daughter in for new ski setup. I had the good fortune to work with Doug to get her setup. Right away I could tell Doug knew what he was doing. He had a great conversation with my daughter to understand what type of skier she is. He took the time to properly measure and inspect her feet, and then he had her try on about 3 different styles of boots to figure out what really worked. Once the boot was determined, he had her keep them on for at least the next 30 minutes while the started talking about skis.The shop has a huge selection of skis, bindings, and boots which is important to find the setup that really works for the skier.Overall a fantastic experience and I really could have not asked for anything more. Thanks a lot.

I got a new pair of skis that needed bindings installed. They took my boots along with my height/weight so when I got my skis back the bindings were perfectly dialed in. Took them a few hours and everyone there was super friendly.Sports LTD has the selection of a large sporting goods chain but the feel of a local mom and pop shop. Check them out sometime. Even if you dont need anything they are a fun place to browse and get ideas for future activities.

Staff is rude, doesn’t care to be there and threw a bag at me when I asked for one. One lady stocking camping equipment said she can’t stand to camp or hike. The time before that the guy in camping area just stared into space, didn’t even acknowledge me. Staff becomes complacent when they don’t care; they should be lucky they have a job during this Covid times. Sad...

Always gotten amazing customer service here. They’ve done a great job with everything I’ve taken to them, and the one time someone in their shop made a mistake, they did everything they could to make it right.

Great selection of gear and equipment, as well as clothing summer or winter. They offer great services for both skis and bikes, As well as custom boot fittings. Id recommend stopping here if you need a tune up, to pick up some gear or new equipment, or need a new pair of boots before heading up the mountain.

I lost my bike seat and post (Stolen?), and went to Tahoe Sports for a replacement. They were able to get me the 31.6 mm post for only $20, which got me the other half of what I needed. Very quick and friendly service.

I like going to this shop. The staff is super knowledgeable in their departments. They carry a variety of gear and brands to choose from. They stock fishing gear, climbing gear, ski/snowboard gear, hiking/limited backpacking and some random fun items like sleds and fashionable clothing. I also like that they reward locals.

Great shop, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Staff was beyond helpful, especially Matt who got us setup on some great full suspension specialized bikes for the day and recommended some ripping trails. Made for an amazing day.

Bought a pair of Salomon hiking shoes two days ago from this shop only to find that one of the shoes made a very irritating noise every step I took. I returned to the shop today an was treated very sympathetically by both the person who dealt with me and the store manager. Whilst I had worn the Salomon shoes outside, I was still offered my money back or choose an alternative shoe, since they didn’t have another Salomon shoe in my size. I chose a Merrell hiking shoe instead!Thumbs up to the staff and their customer friendly response to my need.

Came into the store thinking I had to purchase new ski boots. My old boots, which I love, had a spot on the inside rubbing my foot raw. Working with Kyle, he suggested he try to fix the old boot. I have had three other repair shops work on this boot over the years. Kyle was able to melt the plastic push the problem area away from my foot. I skied on this boot for three weeks now and it is pain free. Kyle could have made an $800 dollar sale but fixed my boot for $20.00. Thank you Kyle! Great job!

Went in looking for a new pair of boots and found the staff, particularly Chedwick, extremely helpful and friendly. He spent almost two hours with me making sure I found the right boot, even gave a slight discount and offered free adjustments. Would definitely recommend!

Went in to get a replacement for my Darn Tough socks while on the PCT and the store clerk was hard to find since none of the workers where any signs of a uniform then after annoyed when I didnt want a replacement sock in a smaller size as they were completely out of size large replacement socks. Unfortunately I really needed new socks do to the intense wear and tear so I had to buy two pairs of socks. The cashier then again acted annoyed that I didnt accept the wrong sized replacement sock. We have helped quite a few people before.Overall they were nice enough to want to help but seemed that it was my fault they didnt have the socks I wanted. I would recommend them for the selection but the service and workers are subpar.

Matt at the stores was extremely helpful when get fitted for skis to rent. Also he made it very easy and quick when we went to return them. I travel a lot to ski and always rent this was the best experience I have had. Thank you Matt

I rented a road bike and was given top-notch service and exceptional quality equipment. I ended up biking on Pioneer trail to highway 50 and looping back to the shop. I had an overall great time and I would highly recommend renting all sporting equipment from Tahoe Sports.

I had bought a pair of Nordica skis on the internet from Glacier Ski Shop in Washington USA before traveling to Tahoe from the UK and arranged for them to be delivered to Tahoe Sports so they could be fitted with my bindings when I got there this January.Everyone was extremely helpfull in advance and my bindings were fitted within an hour or so after my arrival from the UK. Jason and Rebecca could not have been more welcoming and freindly - excellent customer service and an extremely well stocked store handy for the up-lift to Heavenly. I live locally and do most of my business here. Took my board in for the “deluxe tune”. Not impressed with workmanship. Basically looks like it was only hot waxed. They left wax on my top sheet. If I would have known they were goin to half %@# and just wax it i would have done it myself. Will not return for ski/board service. Don’t recommend you do either.

Staff was pretty much non existent when it came to helping customers. There were plenty of them standing up by the registers but I walked around for 15 minutes trying to get someone to help me with boot sizes before being helped. Prices were expensive, they make you pay for forgetting certain things before arriving in South Lake Tahoe.

Bought some stuff here. People were not as helpful as I would have wanted. They would rather sit & talk to a buddy that had walked in from riding that day...that wasnt a customer. Or another co-worker than to help you. However, they seem to have good stuff & a lot of options. My wife and I rented mountain bikes here. Dan, the man who took care of us, couldnt have been more helpful. From getting us the right bikes to recommending a trail for our level (Powerline, great fun), we were in very good hands. Will be back next time we are in Tahoe.

Its ok. Various types of outdoor sporting gear, but it doesnt specialize in any one sport, so while there is a lot of stuff, you only get a lot ittle but of each type of thing, like camping equipment, skis, snowboarding and fishing. They have maybe a choice of 3-4 things in your size, so unless that have exactly what you want, youre out of luck.
