I dont really write reviews, but I do have to say these guys are GREAT! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with warmth, everyone was in a positive mood and seemed to be having a good time. I got a 2 day e-bike rental (Holy moly, e-bikes are whats up!) and the pickup process was super smooth. The guy who helped me out was really nice, and the bike was perfect/no issues. Had a blast. Came to return it at the tail end of the next day, and instead of being annoyed that I was borderline late they were just as awesome and kind as the day before (note: please dont be a bummer customer like me, return your gear on time to help the lads out). Sometimes bike shops can have too much of the cool-guy vibe, but I felt right at home at Over The Edge. Thank you all so much, I will absolutely rent from you again and will send people your way given the chance. Cheers!

On a road trip through Tahoe, I was searching for a core shop to help me service my fork, swap some new rubber, and change a derailleur cable before heading up to Downieville. I spoke with the owner, Pat, on the phone and he was super helpful. Tom, the mechanic who worked on my bike was super accommodating and had my bike dialed in no time. He was super knowledgeable and went above and beyond and dialed in a few extra things on my bike that looked questionable. He hooked it up. Tom and the other staff (Jonah) we’re also super knowledgeable about the area and gave sick suggestions for riding in the area. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for good mechanics, good people, and awesome attitude. They went above and beyond. I’ll be back!

Really awesome place! We came here as a family for their demo bikes (day rentals.) They start at fifty dollars for full suspension, and have an extensive variety of sizes for all different ages. Bikes are of very high quality, and even completely clean. They adjusted the seat height and suspension for us, too. Beyond the bikes themselves, they gave us some great recommendations for where to ride, and had professional and SUPER friendly service. One thing to note is that they did not have half day rentals, so it would be best to come towards the beginning of the day for the maximum worth for your money. We really enjoyed our ride, Thanks!

This place is great. We nearly made the mistake of hiring bikes from Powder Mountain, fortunately we went to the ‘effort’ of walking 15 minutes to get the Over the Edge (although we could have driven as there was plenty on street parking). The staff were super friendly and helpful. Quality of the bikes was fantastic. All very reasonably priced. We got some great tips on where to ride, which was spot on, perfect for us and the kids. My boyfriend and I booked a trip to Lake Tahoe in May. We contacted Sam from Over The Edge Tahoe before we headed down and he messaged us back right away, filling us in on the biking scene in Tahoe. He was really helpful and friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. Once we arrived in Tahoe we met Sam in person at his shop. He came in to rent us bikes even on a day that the shop was closed. He provided us with awesome service and local knowledge about the trails. His shop was really cute and clean, and he rented us amazing bikes at a reasonable price. We didnt need a bike rack either as the trails were right up the hill from the shop. The trails were very scenic and great for any level of rider. Thanks Sam for going out of your way to make our trip to Lake Tahoe memorable! Still running a shuttle in late October. Very fair pricing for the shuttle. AND, while out riding Flume the day before I broke a spoke. Called the shop and asked if there was any way to make repairs before the 10am shuttle that Id booked for the next morning. Got there the next morning at 9:15 and they had the spoke, but we decided a whole new rear wheel was a better choice. He had one hanging on the wall and had it installed and ready to go in time for the shuttle run (for which he was also the driver). Very friendly staff and great little coffee shop inside. Cappuccino was a great way to start the morning and the shuttle. They also welcomed us back from the ride and let us use their changing room to swap out the sweaty gear for street clothes for the drive home. They even have a DIY workstation out in the yard!

I spent some time riding in the South Lake Tahoe area a few weeks ago and rented numerous bikes/shuttles from three different companies. It is fair to say that I was blown away by the good service I received from the team at Over The Edge. Jay, Cody and Sam went the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. They had an great range of top quality and well maintained bikes to choose from and made sure the setup was perfect before I left the shop - they switched the brakes over (Aussie/Kiwi style), put my pedals on, set the seat height, front and rear sag and rebound etc ... and sent me off for a quick ride down the street to double check and tweak the setup before hooking me up with some great trails. These guys made the other companies I used in the area look like complete amateurs. So, if your in or about South Lake Tahoe dont bother with anyone else just go straight to the boys at Over The Edge.
