They are very good very considerate mechanics there the shop is very well kept theyre very experienced on what theyre doing and theyre very courteous to the clients I will recommend them very highly to anybody I know the quality of your work is very high and theyre very concerned about the clients well theyre very experienced on all vehicles and I really recommend the shop to anybody

Hands down best auto shop Ive been to in Simi. All the mechanics are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The hospitality is second to none. Theyve definitely earned me as a life long customer.

I took my car in to have my front wheel bearings replaced on my Camry. The technician did an inspection on my car and told me that not only did I need new wheel bearings but he included fixing my front brakes, rotors, ball joints and replace both the axles and serpentine belts. I am a female senior and lack knowledge of repairs and told them to make the necessary repairs. I trusted them. That same week I had just replaced my front two tires at a local shop here in Simi Valley. They said nothing in regards of having bad brakes or rotors but High Tech replaced them claiming they were bad. My competent friend who was with me asked them for my old parts back. They replied that they do not save parts and mentioned they would not dive in the trash to retrieve them. They called me when the car was ready to be picked up. The bill came to over $2300! When I got my car back it felt good but I was surprised to discover that I was dripping transmission fluid all over my driveway. I called them up the next day and John said to bring the car back in. He agreed that they damaged my transmission pan and gasket and would replace them at no cost to me. When I picked up my car that night, I noticed it was making a noise. Even though I was so frustrated with these people I still took the car back the next day. They diagnosed my car saying I needed to replace all my motor mounts and the cost would be $1245.00 for parts and labor! I told them I do not want them to do the work and that I would come pick up the car. The next day I took my car to another mechanic and he said that my motor mounts were FINE! The noise was caused by missing bolts and loose hoses on the power steering unit which were removed while doing work by High Tech. He fixed the problem for $60.00! As a 40 year resident of Simi Valley, I strongly advise you to take your car elsewhere.

Got my smog checked here and with their discount I paid a lot less than most places. Facility was very clean and staff was extremely helpful. I will be taking my car here to have it smog checked from now on.

I called 3 Ford dealerships and left messages, one said they couldnt even tell me when they could call back. I called High Tech for an estimate, had my car towed in and repaired, all within four hours. Their were familiar with the issue I was having. Their price was reasonable. Car now runs smoothly. Very clean facility. Friendly employees. I highly recommend! (I still have not heard back from the dealerships.)

Predatory business practices.Around 10 minutes of their work cost me $30 when the car was not ready and they want me to pay another $30 for a retest.They told me that the monitors were not ready. I asked why I was charged if the monitors were not ready and they said I would not have been charged if they had checked the readiness monitors prior to doing the smog check. I asked why they didnt check the readiness monitors first and they said they only do that if the customer asks. The average customer would not know to ask this question. Also, based on reviews from other customers, theyve done this before to exploit the customers lack of knowledge.Their statement of We pride ourself in our relationships with our customers, putting people before profit is not true.

I am satisfied with their work. Will probably go to them again.

They have attitude problems, This was my second time there. I like their work but they need to work in their customer service, their hour are not the best, and finally managed to work my schedule around their schedule, took my car for an alignment and they were supposed to call me when done, they never called so I decided to drive there to find out if my car was ready, got there at 5:35pm and everyone is gone, now I had to wait for next day to pickup my car and be late for work. Next morning I go to pick up the car I found out they took my phone number wrong, they assumed my number was 805 and put in 805 as my area code. Not even an apology, never going back to them again

Ive been meaning to write this review. Why one star? Let me explain. I dont review anything because I dont feel like I need to waste my energy complaining about something but this was worth reviewing.My car was overheating so I decided to take the car in to see if they could fix it. I took it in before work and they were quick to take it in and told me it would be ready in a couple of hours. It sounded ok to me because I was working. They do a 30min inspection according to them and I receive a call saying that coolant leaked into my motor and that my radiator was cracked. So if I wanted to fix it, I needed to get a new radiator and they would need to take everything apart and clean out the coolant. It wouldve cost me thousands to fix. I decide not to go through with it because my car really wasnt worth that much to fix.Im now thinking of buying a new car but my dad knows a mechanic that was willing to take a look. He took a look and said that it was the THERMOSTAT. Something that costs less than $100. There was no crack in the radiator no coolant leaking into the engine. I was so mad and upset. I replaced my thermostat and its been working for over a year without any issues.So High Tech deserves 1 star because either A) They knew that it was only the thermostat and tried to screw me over thousands of dollars or B) they did a faulty inspection and were 100% wrong.If youre thinking of coming here just be cautious and ask multiple mechanics before committing here.

I switched to high tech a few years ago after being a returning customer to another shop where I personally knew the owner for years. I never went back to my old shop. High tech does amazing work, they are quick with their work and have a fast turnover rate for getting cars out while the work that needs to be done is still being given 100% of the attention. Even if you don’t have an appt they are still very quick! They are kind when you come in and the prices are amazing! Very affordable and reasonable. They also have coupons available and they will apply the coupons to your bill if it applies automatically. They are not like other businesses where they will not mention coupons and not apply them if you do not have them. Their website and new shop is amazing! A lot of people are concerned about finding honest mechanics and they are! They will not give you false information on your car problems and they will give you a time limit on how long you can wait or how emergent the car need is if you are tight on money! Highly highly recommend! When I move out of Simi I am driving to Simi just to have my car serviced by them.

I’D GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD!! I took my f150 into high tech after my local mechanic moved away. I was nervous being that I drive a custom vehicle however the second Jonathan started talking with me I knew he knew his stuff. I was a motorcycle mechanic for 10+ years I know if someone is running me around and you won’t have to worry about any games at high tech. High tech took care of me like no other I am ecstatic with the more than exceptional service. I would recommend high tech to anyone looking for an honest mechanic with more than reasonable pricing and insanely fast turn around times. All of the work I had done was top notch and my vehicle which is a 2000 feels brand new! Don’t hesitate to bring your vehicle into high tech I promise you will be more than satisfied with the service.

Ive been here twice now after being unhappy with the Toyota dealer. The front staff is very friendly and actually listens to the problems Im having. Both times now they immediately went to the vehicle after discussing the issue and I had a diagnosis and close estimate of the final costs before I even got a ride home. The shop is very clean and I like that it is first come, first served. Works better for me since issues usually come up randomly and there usually isnt the time to make an appointment. The prices have been very fair and I dont get that uncomfortable feeling in my gut that Im being taken advantage of. Ill definitely continue going here as long as thats the case!

I have been taking my cars here for years. They always take care of me and are very honest. Jered and Jonathan are the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I took my vehicle for a Smog test. I had a coupon for $20. The coupon wasnt even applied to the smog test. The car didnt pass the smog test. I got the vehicle inspection report, which gave me the codes on why it didnt pass. However, the shop wanted to charge me $198 to provide their separate diagnostic test, when I already had the codes from the Smog test that told me what was wrong. On top of this, they charged me an additional $8 for parts. There were no parts that were used for this service. What parts were used? Confused? This doesnt seem honest on the part of the shop. Be informed about this shop. Just a way to get you in.

Wish I could give them 10 stars. I took my truck to a shop Ive been going to for years and they said it was a rear differential problem and would cost me 3,500. I told them I wanted a second opinion, which initially they were fine with. So I called high tech auto and they said if it is a rear diff it would cost me around 2700 worse case scenario. So of course Im going to take it there, it saves me 900. Well I called the first place back and he said he was Insulted that I had been going to him for years and that I was going to take it to another place. Long story short I took it to high tech auto and nothing w the rear differential was wrong, it was a whole different issue that cost me 1,300. My advice is dont go to anyone else, just come here. They are honest, trust worth and reliable. Lesson learned from me and now I found a mechanic I will be going to from here on out.

My husband & I have been taking our vehicles to High Tech for over 5 years. We have always had wonderful experiences and I wouldnt want to take my car anywhere else. They are skilled, knowledgeable and perform services in a timely manner.

Very honest and quality auto repair shop. I used to do my annual smog check here and recently tried a major maintenance at High-tech. They did a fantastic job charged less than half of what the dealership quoted. They provide ride back home and did inspection couple of times without any charges. They dont recommend unnecessary repairs. I really trust High-tech and now so all my auto maintenance here.
