The estimates and repair work completed on my Ford Econoline van were prompt, thorough, and well done. My van now runs beautifully thanks to the excellent service completed by C & M Automotive. I did research on Google Maps to find a trusted mechanic and I chose this place because they had good reviews. I took my car in because there were some lights that turned on from the dashboard. They said it would cost $150 for a diagnosis. I signed up for it thinking that I would get a response from them telling me what the problem was and how much the fixture would cost. I heard back from them telling me that they were not exactly sure what the problem was and that they wanted to do a deeper level diagnosis by doing an engine compression test to see if the problem is there and that it would cost $240 for that. This was very disappointing. That should have been included in the original diagnosis. Or they should have made it clear from the beginning that there could possibly be multiple additional forms of diagnosis which would cost more money. Their term diagnosis is misleading. I didnt want to keep paying for one diagnosis after another. Imagine if I paid for for second diagnosis and they still didnt figure out the problem. I explained this all to them and the guy gave me a discount for the original diagnosis (he charged me $135 for the original diagnosis instead of $150) and I brought my car home.

Dani a pleasure to work with. Frank was very detailed in the info I needed. I had to make a minimal deposit to secure ordered parts in 2 days I was told to drop car in the morning and I had vehicle same day.

We have a classic 1958 Corvette that needed some work including transmission work. Finding a reputable facility to work on the classics has become challenging over the years. Rudy (owner) and Frank (and the crew) took exceptional care of our baby, doing a complete overhaul keeping it consistent with stock parts. Car drives like it came off showroom floor now. They have earned my trust for auto repair work. Highly recommended even if you don’t have a classic collector car!

C & M rebuilt my transmission a few months ago and they recently discovered that a fuel pump I purchased and installed on my own, was faulty and causing my engine to stall a few seconds after starting.I tried to diagnose and do the repair myself and never would have thought that my new fuel pump was to blame.C&M was able to tell me just a short time after they received my truck that my fuel pressure was too low and they gave me a decent price estimate and my truck was ready in 2 business days.No trouble since then.

Talked to Frank .Told him i have had a new Fuel Pump installed and that that wasnt the Problem. Feeds a Fuel Filter On My 7.3 deisel Engine (i have serviced since Owning midn2016) that feeds a HIGH PRESSURE fuel pump. So i explained that i having On Going Fuel Leak Problems. And Anyway they diagnosis was a Leaky Fuel Filter ( of which i didnt think was leaking after i had Just Recently installed a NEW HEATER ELEMENT SEAL at Top Of FUEL FILTER HOUSING. ......So i could not afford them to install the Radiator and power steering pump.....so i asked at $562.00 are U replacing my entire FUEL FILTER HOUSING ? The Top or Upper Part of the Filter Housing . Frank said Yes SO I OKAY the WORK to Be Done. I went in and Paid went i saw them. ....Frank had Never mentioned if My High Pressure Fuel Pump had a LEAK ....He Never addressed it .....after paying i walked out to my Van with my friend Pat and had to Rip my Air Filter Off my van so I COULD BLEED MY FUEL FILTER ((IN ORDER TO GET THE AIR OUT SO MY VAN WOULD FIRE UP)) I could Immediately see that the Housing Wasnt Changed and i was still spilling diesel FUEL ....I was a Bad Leak STILL ...... Unaddressed i payed $720.00 to this SHOP TO FIX A FUEL LEAK. All that was DONE WAS A (MY NEW FUEL FILTER) WAS INSTALLED with a New Water Seperator Base ...maybe a $100 part .JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH BUREAU OF AUTO REPAIR .....THEY ARE AS WORTHLESS AS THIS MECHANICS SHOP.

I want to say a Big Thank You to Kenny and the group at C& M. We took them 2 transmissions from 1969 Datsun Roadster that another Transmission shop messed up(that is putting it mildly). The other shop took parts and took the transmissions apart. Kenny and the team spent countless hours finding parts, researching parts and trying to put the puzzle back together. We totally appreciate all their help and hours of research. The parts for these transmissions do not exist anymore so this was like literally finding a needle in a haystack but they were able to do it. Now we have a beautifully rebuilt transmission and soon our roadster will back on the road.

I took my 2004 Chrysler 300M to get the transmission fixed. Kenny is really good at explaining what needs to get fixed and what got done. It’s been a day and the car sounds good, the check engine light turned off and the car doesn’t shake. I would give them 5 stars but I thought it was a little pricey. Don’t get me wrong they did a really good job and even called and told me that my car was fixed earlier then they told me is was going to be done. Over all, I had a great experience with them.

I needed the flex plate in my 2005 Expedition replaced. It is a big job that requires an expert. You can’t just trust anyone to drop your transmission.I was very impressed with C&M from start to finish. I brought my car in before lunch on Thursday and had my car back before 4PM on Friday. Now my car is running like new and for once I don’t feel like I got ripped off. The price was very fair and I appreciated the communication and updates. My 1997 Land Rover Disco was idling high and shifting hard. I took her to C & M to figure out what was wrong. Kenny explained everything and kept me updated. It was a challenge for them to figure it out. At one point we feared a transmission rebuild might need to happen. But they kept working on it till they figured it out. She had several problems but didnt need to work on transmission after all. Now shes running perfect. I cant say enough about them! They told me over the phone that they could definitely fix my car but after keeping it for 4-5 days they basically told me everything I had already told them and charged me 400 for labor even though all they did was diagnostic check and a “level 2 electrical check” and it turned out they they actually couldn’t fix the problem and I had to take it somewhere else and spend some more money .

I took my Hyundai Santa Fe in because my transmission was not functioning properly. They diagnosed my vehicle and reviewed all options with me. I decided on a rebuilt transmission since I’m keeping my car as long as I can. I was given a loaner vehicle for the duration which I appreciated sooo much, I didn’t have the extra cost of getting a rental. I received regular updates while my car was being serviced. I even received a police discount since my husband is a police officer.👍🏻. The price I paid was more than reasonable for a rebuilt transmission. Kenny n the rest of the staff were amazing n very courteous, taking the extra time to go over my warranty. I highly recommend the folks at C&M Automotive, they are amazing, honest and so very helpful. This is my new forever automotive mechanic.

Had the trans rebuilt on our 98 explorer so long ago I cant even remember. Still working fine after all these years. Took in my Nissan with electrical problems found out the brand new battery we bought from AAA had a bad cell they replaced for free and cleaned up some electrical connectors and reset somethings. They charged a very reasonable rate for the work theyve done.

AAA towed my 2006 Saturn Vue 203 miles and referred me here. A man in Napa Auto Parts heard my call and reassured me I was going to a qualified shop, he had used them years ago. At 12:30 am I dipped my keys in the box with vague notes and received a call at 8:15 the following morning. An hour or so later, I received a very detailed diagnostic report with pictures. We discussed urgent repairs and those that could wait. 24 hours later, my transmission was repaired. Kenny called and texted to keep us up to date. Prices are reasonable, he’s very honest and up front. I’ve already referred him to my neighbor. Excellent experience!

Outstanding experience overall. Choosing a mechanic, someone you have to trust with your vehicle can be a strenuous process. You see and hear about people getting scammed or taken advantage of far too often and it makes you weary, as I was - a shame really. Its worse when you dont know much about vehicle maintenance and youre relying on a complete stranger to tell you what you actually need and wont need to make it right. I had my Tahoe towed in to C&M with what I was CONVINCED was a blown motor. I came in asking for quotes on a new or rebuilt engine + their labor to take care of the engine swap for me. They tore into it, found it wasnt blown and was a few bad lifters, we went from there. They could have easily just charged me to swap the motor and I may not have known any better but instead they insisted they dig in and find out exactly what it was to save me the hassle and the money of swapping the engine entirely.Kenny, Rudy & team went above and beyond throughout the process to make sure I was taken care from start to finish. Courtesy calls, courtesy shuttles and even a loaner vehicle when necessary while mine was being repaired. They stand behind their work and even offer a 24 month warranty on work completed! Privately owned & operated, there is no reason to go anywhere else for your automotive maintenance needs.

I brought my 2001 Chevy truck to C & M with over 364,000 miles, it needed, in my opinion a new oil pan gasket. I dropped the truck there around 1pm, by 5pm they had the job completed. I drove over a hundred miles the next day, no more oil leaks!!!Im very pleased with their services!

These guys took 3 days to do a transmission inspection for my 75 year old mothers car, and pushed a $343 battery on her. That is outrageous.

We feared that our vehicle should be pronounced dead, but the good folks at C&M reviewed the damage to the engine carefully, and submitted a hopeful proposal to resurrect our car for future use. It took a fair amount of time and money to get everything working, but our car now runs better than it was before it died on us. We appreciate the honesty and hard work to make this happen!

They were able to fit me into their busy schedule, and get me back on the road in just a few hours. I was towed here to get my vehicle serviced. At first I was told by everyone that assisted me that it was the starter on my car (2011 Nissan Juke, with push start). They brought me in and stated that they will do a diagnostic to verify that isnis the starter. They got back to me within an hour stating that it was NOT the starter but in fact the switch from the break line to the starter. GREAT NEWS!!! They then let me know that it will be about HALF the price of the starter! I have the proceed and within another hour or so they sent a courtesy van to pick me up and drive me there! The service was super fast and they found out exactly what was wrong with ease! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area!!

I would like to recommend this shop to all who have the need for local but very trustworthy and professional auto mechanics, especially when having to deal with transmission issues. They specialize in foreign cars, especially the high end Europeon models.. Rudy and the guys have probably the cleanest and neatest shop I have ever seen. When my Jaguar transmission needed help, they impressed me with their knowledge of its particular issues. I felt they worked extra hard to make it the least stressful for me.

I live in Thousand Oaks but when I need major repair, brakes, tune ups etc I go to C&M in Simi Valley. I brought my Q50 Infinity in for brakes and they did a great job. During inspection they found a slight leak from my previous oil change. Jiffy Lube did not tighten my oil filter properly. As a result the bottom of my vehicle was covered in oil and my oil level was 1/2 quart low. I appreciate that they check out everything when you bring your vehicle in which gives you piece of mind. Thanks for your great service and attention to detail.

After calling around to several places who seemed way too busy for my business, C&M spent 20 minutes on the phone with me, helping me weigh the options of replacing the transmission in my 14 year old car. I had my car towed in and they were able to look at it the same day. And a week after we got the car back, Justin called to check up on the car. HE CALLED TO CHECK ON THE CAR?!! THEY OFFER TO PAY TO GET BAD REVIEWS REMOVED.Do not get your transmission rebuilt here.We had it rebuilt by C & M Simi Valley in July 2013 for a Mercury Mountaineer. It failed less than a year later- with much less driving than the car has ever had! It had to be completely rebuilt, again, at the beginning of June 2014. So, their work lasted 10 months.Also, it costs about $1000 less to get a transmission rebuilt outside of Southern California. Tow it elsewhere.UPDATE: We were given the run around for months and months. We were never helped out, the warranty was not honored while on our trip, and we were not reimbursed. They also pay people to remove bad reviews.

Well, First of All. Good Day Everyone. Now a days its hard to find a repair shop that you can trust. And I dont know anything about cars period. I just moved here in Simi Valley and shop I know lived 20 miles away. I need to find shop that close to me and convenient.I look and called around to see where I can bring my car and have it check. Since, I bought my car 3 yrs ago never been to a shop beside oil change. Kinda worry when I start feeling weird in the car. So, I usually do not believe on reviews online until I experience it myself. But yeah why not try it. Until I found CM and funny thing is I work accross the street where they are....So. Great service and a great team! Explained everything I needed to know about what was wrong with my truck and fixed it to run like new! They also seemed like they actually cared, I wasn’t just another number coming in, I’m definitely going back if I have any other issues.

The staff here was amazing, I live out of town and was visiting friends on a weekend when I broke my car. Finding a place during the week is hard enough and on a weekend is just a nightmare add in a city you do not know. My friends and the tow truck driver reccomend this place, I had to leave my car for them to inspect and find the parts needed; and to be honest I never worried from the start after talking with everyone. They reassured my from the start and called me everyday to keep me updated on the progress; which only took two days. I couldnt get back to town to the weekend and they had no problem working with my schedule and came in under estimate which was amazing considereing the damage I know I did. These guys are great! Truly; considered why I was there, they were a joy to work with. I highly recommend.

The fact that it was a AAA certified shop was a bonus. After speaking with Rudy, the owner, he introduced me to Justin...what a gentleman! He explained everything to me and found a repair kit for my AC issue. Instead of paying through the nose and having work done that I didnt need, Justin and the crew were able to fix the problem for less than half of the cost of the other two shops. What???? I started taking my car to C&M recently after trying many different repair shops and always feeling either taken advantage of or dissatsfied by the quality of service. I decided to try them after getting a stellar review from a family member. I can honestly say that this shop meets that elusive standard everyone seems to be looking for but is so hard to find: honesty and integrity combined with affordable and fair pricing, an excellent level of service to the vehicles, and great customer service. THIS IS MY REVIEW FROM YELP. SINCE C&M PAYS YELP TO ADVERTISE THERE, THEY MANAGED TO HAVE MY COMMENT HIDDEN:First of all, I should get a frequent drop-off award for this outfit. I recently had my 2001 325i and my 1995 Honda Civic repaired, resulting in a total cost of about $2700 after my AAA discount kicked in.BMW First Time: Dropped off the 325i because it seemed like it was not getting any fuel and stalled the night before. I told Justin it seemed like a fuel pump issue but since it was electric I wasnt sure. Justin later told me that it was a couple of vacuum leaks that were very hard to find. I thought to myself I had never experienced a complete stall out from a very hard to find vacuum leak but they must have known what they were talking about. I picked up the car and it died on me that night.BMW Second Time: Had it towed over to C&M to check out. Came by later on and was told that I ran it out of gas. They told me they put in a gallon of gas and it started right up. So, feeling pretty stupid but doubtful of their discovery, I got my car back and was told I only owe them a gallon of gas, I went to the service station, filled my car to the top and found that I was 3 1/2 gallons short of completely filling it up, which means I still had roughly 2 gallons available in my tank. Ive had this car for 11 years and know what running out of gas is like. In fact I know just about every characteristic of this car.Honda First Time: Brought over to get the water pump, passenger axle and distributor seal fixed. They gave me a free inspection and came back with quite a list of needed repairs, which included, but not limited to the driver side axle as well, and both tie-rods which would require an alignment. I told them to fix every one. Got it back a day late, no big deal, but after I got it back noticed it was veering to the right and oil was still leaking from the distributor seal. Called Justin and he said to bring it in.BMW Third Time: After I got my car back...again, I was driving with my 3- year old son and the car died right in the middle of standing traffic (Sycamore and Cochran). Had it towed again to C&M. They finally realized it was the Fuel Pump causing the problem, so 3 tows later they got it right.Honda Second Time: I brought the car in on the weekend after I reported the problem and was told I had low tires. I would have guessed that if the car was aligned, a simple low tire issue would have come to light. After I got it back, still veering right.Honda Third Time: Brought the Honda back in and they rotated the tires, saying that there must be a problem with the tires. Now the care seems to veer left and right intermittently. Not going back whatsoever.This morning I heard a loud rattling under the hood of my 325. I popped the hood only to notice they never tightened the screws on my engine cover when they worked on my car. Is this going to end?

These guys are total rip-off. Kenny charged me $118 for diagnosis without actually performing it on my vehicle. When I asked him about the issue (which was not fixed obviously) he had no answer for it. He again gave me a quote for $595.44 to check and fix it. I took my mini van to other auto shop ‘Newcastle Motors’ and they fixed my issue in 10 mins just by cleaning and spraying WD-40. It’s been more than 5 weeks now and my sliding door is working like charm. If you care about your hard earned money, this is not the shop for you.

Great shop. The staff are very kind and helpful. I will be back for future maintenance.

It was just simple oil change and tire rotation I got from them today but Kenny was very helpful and answered all of my questions in professional manner. The place seems to be kept clean as well.

I was recently in the Simi Valley area when my transmission went out. Being from Las Vegas I was unfamiliar with the area and ended up at C&M Auto. I have a 2007 Mustang that was no longer under warranty and I know how the dealerships rack up the charges. The service here was outstanding, and the work was done quickly. Much to my surprise that was a warranty on the work and I have had no problems. If I lived in the area I would use this shop for all of my automotive needs.

I have been using C&M Auto and Trans for about 10 years now. In that time I have had several of my vehicles in for repair including Dodge Ram Offroad edition, Toyota Sequoia and my Toyota FJ Cruiser. I must admit that I drive a lot of miles on all of my vehicles and they wear quickly. Rudy and his team have always been there when I need them whether it was something simple like oil changes, brakes, tune ups or the major issues like transmissions and rear end replacements. I have not had the best of luck with my vehicles, but I have had excellent luck in finding Rudy and his amazing team of mechanics. They are fair, highly skilled, reasonable on price and provide excellent service.I gladly and openly am a strong supporter of his workmanship, honesty, customer service and diligence. I went for an oil change and they were very cool they provide shuttle service as-well. I got my car running smooth oh and they accept triple A discount.

I took my VW Passat to C&M because of a turbo engine pressure issue and check engine light on. Turned out the intercooler hose just popped off. The guys at C&M were honest, fast to fix, with a very reasonable labor charge. Its always good to have an honest mechanic shop around!! Thanks for your excellent service!
