What a great staff! My man Joe at this location was a champ. I had a new front fender to replace one that was backed into at some point on a job site, not knowing when it happened or who had done it, I was searching for a way to replace it without being able to use insurance and found a new fender online. Joe was great at taking care of the quote and was able to give me an exact price and found the exact match for my burgundy-ish Subaru Outback before I had to sign anything. I dropped it off on a Friday around noon and Joe called me back the following Monday to let me know that they had it done already! I will definitely be back if I ever need any paint work again!

Did a walk in for an estimate and Ken gave me a reasonable quote while addressing some of the oxidation/rust on the car. Decided to move forward and they exceeded my expectations! Changed the OEM silver to blue effect urethane and it looks amazing!

Excellent work with rust removal and underbody coating for rust prevention at a great value and done very quickly! Ill be sure to come back in the future they do good work quickly and at a fair price. Recommend to all. Ken and his son Joe were great to work with!

I could tell they genuinely wanted to do what was best for the customer. I was so mad about what happened to my car, and they really made me feel at ease about getting it fixed because they explained everything without trying to confuse me, and they really took great care to make sure we were on the same page and make sure everything was in my budget. The paint on my new bumpers was a perfect match and was very well done. They also had everything done within the time frame they said it would be done. I would definitely go back to them the next time I need a repair or maintenance.

Ken and Joe were both incredibly friendly and overall fantastic in helping me get some scratches/paint on my car repaired. Joe personally walked me through the entire painting process and gave me an estimate that was 1/3 of the price of a previous quote I had gotten. He even polished part of the hood of my car free of charge. Car was repaired in just a few days (during the holidays no less) and the quality of work was so exceptional that I cant even tell that anything was done. Looks like a factory job. Would highly, highly recommend to anyone looking to get their car repaired

Maaco in Silver Spring is a family run business by a father (Ken) and son (Joe), where they treat each customer like family as well. “Uh oh better get Maaco” was the slogan from a TV commercial I still remember from my childhood, so it was the name I thought of first when needing to repaint the family station wagon. If you are someone that takes care of your cars, or lucky enough to have purchased a reliable car, then maybe someday with good fortune you will also have a car that has faithfully survived for over 25 years like my 1994 Toyota Camry station wagon. Toyota stopped making station wagons many years ago but mine still runs like a champ, unfortunately, the paint was starting to show its age even though it was still mechanically perfect. My wife initially wanted to give the car away because it was such an eyesore but that car has always treated us well with minimal maintenance. Paint jobs can get expensive and can sometimes cost a couple thousand dollars, but never at Maaco, and they can do ANYTHING for an unbelievably low price. They haven’t made a car like mine in decades but Joe diligently called everywhere to find a matching hood, fender and side mirror that could be repainted. Am so glad I listened to him instead of sanding down the old hood because my car looks as brand new as the day it was driven off the lot. Joe, who you can tell was brought up in the business and learned the trade from his father, is an honest man that can be trusted and won’t steer you wrong with any recommendations. He even painted my windshield wipers a flat back and soldered an old gas cap door perfectly after matching up the paint for that too. When it comes to fully restoring a car, the small touches make all the difference! See the before/after pictures for yourself. I cannot recommend Maaco highly enough. Listen to Ken or Joe. They won’t pressure you at all and both have your best interest at heart. Even more amazingly, Joe is the one who did much of the work himself. You’re not going to find this level of service or expertise at any price, which is all the more impressive if you consider the amount of money you’re saving with Maaco. My old station wagon went from being the wife’s least favorite car to drive (it was slightly embarrassing), to now becoming her very favorite. It’s amazing how different it looks now and if you have a car that loves you, it’s time for you to love it back and take it to Maaco.

Weve used this Maaco service station twice and have been very pleased with the results. Ken and his team are super friendly, knowledgeable, cost conscious, thorough, and skilled. Our cars looked brand new when they were finished with them. No evidence whatsoever of the damages (deep gouges in the paint job, various dents). Weve entrusted them to work on our Toyota and Audi. Neither job involved insurance. We found their prices fair. Our last job (the Audi) was completed ahead of schedule. Though we hope we wont need any more work done to our cars, Id not hesitate to return if we did. We highly recommend Ken.

I usally never write reviews for any business but these guys deserve one. I got a bumper painted that I am going to install onto my BMW and Joe was amazing to work with. From the time arrived to final contact he was attentive, proffesional, and very good at communication to me as a customer. When I first arrived he helped me decide what color would best match my cars color and provided me with a detailed quote. I dropped off my bumper on Wedsnday or Thursday and it was ready by Monday. The paint work was well done and matched my car color 1:1 based off of Joes reccomendation. Ken and Joe are a pleasure to work with and make you feel right at home when you arrive. I really dont get how people are saying they have terrible customer service, at that point Its probably the customers fault for misinterpreting something or just being dramatic. I reccomend comming here for your painting needs.

Quick turn around time for the repair.

Ken and his son are very reasonable, and offer a great product for the price. Dont expect perfection, but a quality product and friendly service make up for any minor imperfections. I had work done by them months ago and am continuously impressed with how it turned out and held up.

Yes! Yes! Yes! 1000 times, Yes! Ken and his Guys were AMAZING to say the least. From the moment I called for an inquiry, to the moment I got my keys and car returned to me, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. The whole process was seamless, quick, and super SAFE!I stopped by the shop, waited outside for a bit while Ken and his guys inspected my 2004 Toyota Corolla, and gave me an estimate, all while following COVID-19 safety protocols/guidelines. I was told I could leave it there right then, and have it worked on immediately, which came as a surprise to me; however, I opted to bring it over a few days later.I dropped my car off at the Maaco late Tuesday evening, left my keys in the Dropbox, and waited for the call. Literally three days later, I receive a call from Ken saying he’s staring at my beauty and he knows I’m gonna love it. Let me tell you, Ken is never wrong, haha!I LOVE MY NEW CAR(cause that’s what it feels like)!!! The paint is unlike anything I could’ve imagined, keep in mind my car was super ashy and very chipped! I could go on and on about how I felt, but honestly all I can say is that these guys care! I was skeptical, but the service I received here was excellent. My car was in really bad condition - it had dents all over it, some of which were incredibly deep. I thought Id need an entirely new door because the damage there was so thorough. Somehow, their technician was able to do an incredibly good job first cleaning and removing the mess I and others had made trying to fix it, and then straightening that and all the other dents, and finally painting it. Now I swear its as if I have a new car. Had I gotten it fixed at a body shop the price would have been almost 4x higher. The owner and his son are also down to earth and the job was done efficiently. I was holding my breath when we pulled into the lot to see the vehicle, but was pleasantly shocked by the excellent results.Follow up: 8/28/20 - My vehicle was missing a clip that secured the rocker panel, and it had come undone. I talked to Ken, brought the vehicle to him, and he repaired it free of charge with no questions asked. Ken continues to impress with his personable style, and the technician employed with him is incredibly talented. Thanks, Ken.

Ken customer service was outstanding when I dropped off my vehicle for a collision repair. So I/or someone else had scraped the side of my car a few too many times all on the same spot. I recently got a large scrape on the passenger side and it took a piece of the outer shell off. I gave up and went to Maaco. They were open on a Saturday so I got an estimate that weekend. He originally gave me an estimate for the passenger side, my bumper, and a few minor scrapes on the other side from someone who scraped me. I decided that was more than I wanted to pay so he adjusted my quote for just the passenger side. It was more than I wanted (about $650) because the door needed straightened. (Granted I was hoping it would only be $200-300, which is unrealistic for my scrapes.) I dropped it off Monday and picked it up Thursday (they told me it would be 4-5 days). You can barely tell anything ever happened! The car looks great. AND my passenger side door hasnt opened for almost a year because of a lock issue, and they got it open for me free of charge! I didnt even ask them to but one of the mechanics remembered me from my estimate and did it for me. They really did a nice job and now that I can open my car door, I really dont mind what I ended up paying! The only thing I will note is that they are not the best at answering the phone. Just stay on the line and theyll answer eventually.

Liked the paint job. A recommendation would be pay after they paint your car. I paid first and they took their sweet time. Also they said they were gonna do some repairs. Which I was charged for, but I didnt see those repairs done. I can still see the same car before and after with the same damages but just a different color. So people beware. They are nice but they need to work on not scamming people. I will not return.

I brought my 2015 Chevy Camaro here for some body work, front bumper dent and rare bumper scratches on the driver side. one of the sales person, Ken, approached me for estimate and I decided to leave my car the work to be done.However, after 4 days when I picked my car, I have never experienced this kind of unprofessional paint/ body work before.First, they suppose to tape/cover the body that no need to be paint; as a result, the paint messed up all over the car.Second, after they “ finished painting “ they supposed to put my backup camera on the right place, but never did and left it behind the rare bumper.Third, right below the front bumper there is a black rubber material that covers the lower part of the car between the front wheels, ; as a result, they mess it up with the car paint and the car looks ugly.I asked why they did this, but ken and his son said “ Because of the money you pay, this is the least we can do.”Both, Ken and his son, are unprofessional and they just talk too much, but don’t do there job. especially Ken is not only unprofessional and very rude, also he doesn’t know how satisfy a customer by providing a quality service.I believe both need to learn how to professionally handle customer besides learning doing their job instead TALKING NONSENSE!Don’t recommend this shop.

NOT HAPPY. At all. I made an appointment for Saturday Sep 23rd, and with no warning the place decided to be closed that day!! I specifically chose this place because it was one of the few that were taking appointments for Saturdays. I dont appreciate wasting an hour out of my life for nothing. Once again, I made an appointment. I got a confirmation message about my appointment. The sign out front of the shop says they are open Saturdays. But when I got there, there was a hand written note on the door saying closed today. No reason given. No one contacted me. Well, I wont be coming back!!

They fixed up my car really well. I went in there with bumper damage and they were able to repair the bumper without replacing it. They saved me half of what the competitor was going to charge. I would definitely recommend Maaco.

Terrible. They put my front bumper on the car and painted it on the body. They got paint on my headlights, grills, windows. I removed my bumper the other day to install a front lip and found out the whole bottom part wasnt even painted. They also had very bad customer service. Especially the manager or some white dude that is always at the front desk. He literally yelled at me when he and I were in a disagreement about the job they did on my car. The fact that I still find areas of sloppy work on my car to this day is ridiculous. They rush their work which makes it a waste of money. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

MAACO in Kensington did a great job in repairing a heavily scratched bumper! They were fast and also repaired small scratches in several parts of my Volvo S60!

Over the last 15 years I have had Ken paint about 7 cars for me, two lotus 7s, an ElCamino, 3 Miatas in British Racing green-all fair/good work. So I took my pre- prepared supercharged Miata to Ken for his $400 spray---he did it a great job with masking-shine everywhere except for a square foot on the very front of the nose--either not enough material or overspray.When I got home, I saw this, called him and then the avoidance began. I went back to the shop they poo pooed the problem--but it was not glossy.My wifes Miata that he painted 2 years earlier has a glossy nose-every other car he painted for me has a glossy nose. So he said--give it a while to settle out. It made me gag, I put 30 hours into prep.down to 600 grit. Ken promised me a GREAT DEAL on a racing strip to cover it If the gloss did not return my some magic.I just gave Ken a call to take him up on his Great Deal for a racing stripe---no apology for his part for sloppy work and the Great Deal would be at least a few hundred dollars he said.Why trust your car to someone who says anything but Ill take care of that-- my mistakeThe upside-Its just a miata with a rattle can yellow nose-avoid the avoiders in life.Kens done better in the past-Ill find another Maaco
