Ive been getting my glasses from Visionworks for at least a decade now. Ive mostly had only good experiences with the company. The only real issue was when there was a mix up with my mothers credit card at the Mayfair location. They had an issue with the return until Emily stepped in to fix it. I was so happy with how professional and on top of everything she was, I brought my business to this location when Emily transferred here. Its in such a cute part of town and the employees have been so good to me here. I definitely recommend going to them.

I agree with Lisa, as a manager, they shouldve been a lot more professional. I know because I too am a manager. I ensure that all my managers, including myself, never treat our coworkers like that. Regardless of their position in the company. We treat all with respect and not once do we scream at anyone. Communication is key, but screaming shows the person is not suitable for the job and should be either fired and they should quit and leave the profession to an actual professional.

This is the best place to go for vision needs! Everyone was super nice and helpful. Covid protocols were great. I purchased both glasses and contacts from here and I appreciated that they took the time to help me figure out the best deal. Thank you!

I haven’t been to this location before, I got my glasses for years at a location in Denver. Since moving to Milwaukee one of the screws came out and I wasn’t able to fix it myself. The loveliest lady fixed them free of charge. I’m happy to have a great vision works here in Milwaukee

Been coming for a few years now, and seem some major improvements from the first time I came! Lot of the more recent staff are stellar and so kind. I think I worked with Emily (I promise it isnt me LOL) a few times and shes a gem!

My experience here was amazing! They were able to look up my benefits, clearly explain what was covered so that I could make the best decision. The doctor was so nice and had some good dad jokes lol The lovely people helping me pick out glasses were so sweet and caring and truly made me feel good about the pair I picked. My glasses came in so fast as well!! I highly recommend this location.

I WOULD give this place ZERO stars if I can, the WORSE place you can work at. I really did love work there and genuinely the doctor was amazing and did a great job. I even suggested my friends to come in because I believe doctor Jurgens is friendly and he does not make people feel bad. I just wished the management was under someone else. While being with visionworks, I worked two locations and honestly I didnt mind Visionworks at S27th because even though they were busy I believe the way they ran their store was a lot better .I reached out to HR about concerns about the environment in Shorewood and was not responded to until 2 days AFTER my voicemail & DETAILED email. Management was terrible, The new RS; Emily, is very UNPROFESSIONAL! And did not apologize for her passive aggressive behavior towards me, an associate.I waited 2 whole weeks for my apology which I spoke to the store manager, Shannaki about. To my last day working there I did not receive my apology from Emily, instead she, Emily would speak to me without even addressing the issues trying to by passed her unprofessional actions. I believe that the store manager Shannaki did not enforce this apology whatsoever, not only had Emily yelled at me during my shift but also another associate. She too, did not receive an apology. As a store manager I feel like it was her duty to maintain the workplace to be as peaceful as it can be. I was in a hostile work environment at Shorewood and no one helped me. I have NEVER been in a work place where a manager or a supervisor did not apologize when they were wrong.I’m VERY upset at Visionworks as a company. HR was no help, Store manager was no help, and the people they hire as a manager & RS is questionable.I will never return to this company. I wish Dr. Jurgen would work with a better and more fit company for him. He does deserve a better environment. & Celeste is an amazing associate too. An amazing 3rd key, she was also helpful and her management skills is someone I would expect the new RS to be like.Until this place is under new management I do not see this environment fit for anyone to work in.

One of the worst stores, rude staff and manager. The manager called the insurance and got INCORRECT information that non-prescribed glasses are not covered under our plan. But when I got the correct info over email and tried to talk to them, the associate, in particular, did not want to listen. She refused to even take a look and reconfirm with my insurance stating that her manager has told them NOT TO SELL non-prescribed glasses to US. Stinky behavior for sure, never going back and the same would be reported. But as most cases, no one will bother to act on this!!

Ive always had a great experience at this location. Great value, great selection, staff is amazing! Covid protocols are 100%. The Doctor is very thorough and very nice. Im a long term customer...always an excellent experience.

Amazing workers. They back their products. There was an issue with my new pair of frames I purchased in April. I did not get the extended warranty on them. They gladly replace a $300 pair of glasses for free. They really back their products and I highly I recommend to use them. I will not go anywhere else.

Went into store this afternoon to see if can get 5 to 7 yr old glasses fixed. Was there 5 minutes tops and they didnt even charge me. The lady that helped me was super friendly. Will be making this location my location of choice from now on. Thanks Visionworks!

So, I had a pair of glasses that the frame was broken, I bought a copy of the same frame to replace the lenses. I went to visionworks, they were verrry friendly. They took my temperature and sprayed my hand which I appreciate since I am very scared of this COVID-19 thing and I lover how careful they were about it. They perfectly moved the lenses from the broken one and put it in the new one and charged me nothing!!! Great experience!

My insurance stated that this location accepts my insurance, I schedule my appointment and they call and ask me which insurance I have (which is badgercare, again, which this location WAS LISTED as accepting) and they tell me bluntly that Im S.O.L. and they dont accept state insurance, tried calling them back, they put me on hold and hung up on me, tried calling them back AGAIN and they never picked up the phone

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Each person paid attention to me and gave me personal time as though I was the only customer there - which I was not! The general manager and another staff member both knew the correct pronunciation of my first name which particularly made me feel welcome. And the optometrist even knows a few members of my religious community which added to the family feel of my experience. I am very satisfied.

They have an extremely friendly staff. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in and was immediately taken back to do the pretests. The doctor was super personable and got the exam done within 15 minutes. Super happy I came her .

I had such a great experience here. The appointment was within a week of calling and the appointment itself was timely. The doctor was very friendly and pleasant. The woman who sold me glasses and contacts, Shannaki was kind and knowledge about the best deals and rebates going on. I was able to take advantage of a program to get 60% off my glasses for buying contacts the same day as my exam. It was great because there was a rebate running on my contacts on top of that. I would recommend!

Had such a great experience today at Visionworks in Shorewood. From the associates to the doctors assistant to the ophthalmologist everyone was clear, pleasant and patient with me throughout my whole appointment. Everyone working there was wonderful, very polite and were also very clear on what the cost breakdowns were. This is my first prescription and they had a really good sale going.James was awesome with helping to pick out frames, and really friendly. I was indecisive but he was very helpful and he put a lot of effort into finding pair that I would like. Definitely recommend this location!

Late in December, I went to Visionworks to get an eye exam and get an udated pair of glasses. Scheduling the exam was quick and easy, and the exam was performed professionally, comfortably, and very efficiently. My eyeglasses were ready when they had been promised, and everything about my experience was just fine. This month, I went in to order a pair of sunglasses, identical to my recently ordered pair, except for the tinting. They were ready today, as promised, and in perfect shape. The banter with staff while the new glasses were being cleaned and then adjusted for a good fit was pleasant and enjoyable, and my experience with both purchases turned out to be entirely positive.

James was super cool! Had a great experience and conversation with him. He made sure to show me the full selection of glasses I was interested in and followed my budget as well. The most pleasant time I’ve ever had getting glasses, thanks James!

I broke my glass frame by falling down during touch-football. It was in the evening, Saturday in March. When I entered the store it was passing 4:30 pm. There are a few customers in store so I waited a bit. And then I asked to repair my frame but the old wire got stuck in the ditch of the frame and could not be removed. An assistant spend more than 30 minutes and manager spent another almost 30 minutes but they still could not removed the wire because the frame was repaired a couple of times before. The wire was seated by bond. Finally, she said, I hate to say ...... I very appreciate their long time efforts to clean up the ditch. I asked the manager, Shannaki(?), to pick up the frame to fit my lenses and purchased it. My old lens fitted into the new frame very quickly. When I got out of the store It was past 6:00 pm. Thank you for spending long time and for working hard. I enjoyed our conversation, too.

I went to visionworks because my glasses had fallen apart. They were extremely helpful and friendly, and fixed my problem at no charge right away. I really appreciate it. My kids have been here for eye exams before, and Im sure Ill go back to Visionworks.

I tried purchasing some glasses and waited 2 weeks to receive them. However, upon getting them they were completely the wrong pair of glasses. The manager helped out to fix the issue and helped me get the correct pair of glasses.

Staff was very helpful when I went in to purchase my glasses. They helped me find the perfect fit and recommended an anti-reflective coating since I use the computer so much! I’m very happy with my new glasses, they fit perfect, look stylish, and most importantly they’re a great fit for my lifestyle!

Its an optometrist in a mall, dont expect too much. As soon as I saw three people in the waiting room I felt like it was going to be a miserable experience. I asked the clerk if this was one of those deals where they schedule 5 people at the same time to see one doctor. She sheepishly admitted it was true but said it would go fast. She was right. I really didnt wait too long to be seen and then to cash out.The doctor was cool and friendly. He gave me a free pair of contacts and let me bypass the follow up visit since Ive been wearing contacts for 28 years. He also gave me my prescription without grief. The clerk tried to match the price I got on line elsewhere but couldnt. I appreciate her trying.Helpful hint: do not sign the consent for a $40 follow up contact lens visit! This is mainly for newbies. Also find a better price for contacts on line and see if they can beat it. They are willing to price match.

This was the most fun I have ever at the Doctors. I stopped in with my partner to get her glasses repaired. They fixed them right up, perfect. Even sold us both glasses and contacts. I didnt know what vision insurance company I had so they managed to track it down for me. Whats even better is when we went in to pick them up. The experience was even better and I love our new glasses!

My glasses broke and called to see if I had Insurance . I did not. They were awesome. She looked up about my glasses and they Had them. She also gave me a discount on them. Walk in today and they had all my information ready and had my glasses done in 20 minutes. Jacob helped me out and was awesome!! Thank you. If you need glasses this is the place to come!

I have been coming here for years, even before they became visionworks, and have always received excellent service. But this last year since I had my cataracts surgery they surpassed all expectations. My new prescription was complex and they were so kind. I will never go anywhere else.

They changed my contact prescription without my consent, told me it was a mistake. Sounds like malpractice to me. Now I have to go back into have my original prescription filled. Never call back. Worst costumer service ever. It’s a shame the doctor was nice but the actual place and service workers are rude and awful.

I have worn glasses forever and never had an experience like this at any store. They were helpful and friendly but with NO PRESSURE! The woman that helped me was really sweet and the whole team was was friendly and even joking with the other customers! These places either feel stuffy or like they are bored. Not the Visionworks in Shorewood! Loved it!

I was delighted with the professional service and personal attention given by Molly. In a search for the right frames she suggested the Visionworks on S. 27th St. There Oscar outdid himself with trying to track down options. Ive tried other eyewear stores but none come close to Visionworks. And the price was easy on the pocketbook.

Spent a good hour here looking for frames. Everyone was very helpful and let us have our space as we picked out frames. The staffoffered assistance and opinions when needed. It was a great experience.

Had lots of great help selecting glasses that fit my face shape. Even at more expensive stores like Metro Eye in the third ward I did not get as much help, and their turn around times were much faster as well. I received my glasses sooner than expected and have had zero issues with them since. I found this experience to be the quickest, simplest, and easiest eyewear shopping in Milwaukee.

I had been going to a private practice for years but had to switch due to insurance. I am highly satisfied with the service and quality of glasses received at this Vision Works location. The process was easy and quick, and they offer a wide selection.

I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for a while. The staff is always helpful and friendly even when I just want to get get my glasses adjusted. The prices are a 1000 times better than Optix and they don’t try and sell you want you don’t need.

Be careful buying here. I bought a pair of expensive glasses for my wife and 2 months later the lenses starting to peel off obstructing her vision. Like a defective paint job. I tried to make them replace the lenses but they just ignored us stating she didnt buy a protection plan, a plan which it wasnt even offered to her in the first place. I dont think I need a protective plan because she didnt do anything wrong, their product was defective! Actually it went bad in just months but their supposed warranty covered just the first 30 days. What a joke!!. The employee even mentioned she had another cases like this but according to their business policy she wasnt able to help them. In another words a plain scam!!! Beware of these people.

Ive been a customer here for 10 years. Very disappointed with the eye glass protection plan I purchased. My glasses were damaged beyond repair and was unable to receive a replacement pair due. They require that you bring in what ever is left of the glasses in order to pay the deductable and get a replacement pair. After spending $400 and purchasing insurance on that pair, I would think something could be done, but not even management could recommend anything other than purchasing a brand new pair. They made no effort to retain a repeat customer.

Hadnt had much luck finding affordable and stylish eyewear until I stumbled upon this east-side gem. The amazingly attentive staff helped me select the perfect pair of glasses (a feat that took 2 hours) and had them prepare for me within a week. I bought my glasses a couple months ago and oppted not to get the warranty. Never broken glasses before so I knew I didn’t need it. So when I fell asleep wearing them and broke off the arm I knew it was going to cost me. The woman there was so great! First she tried everything to fix them- then she let me buy the warranty and use it right away! This place is great! Best customer service I have ever gotten. They understand what it means to deliver!

I had an eye exam at the Shorewood location, and was massively impressed by the skill and patience of the staff. Dr. Jurgans was able to professionally manage my trainwreck of a prescription. I went in at an abnormally busy time, and the staff professionally ensured that each patient was cared for efficiently and effectively in a courteous manner. I worked with a young man, Jake, who was very kind and respectful, and also understood the difficulties of living with a abnormally high prescription. All in all, the entire staff is friendly and efficient, and definitely an essential and helpful place for anyone with optical needs.

Everyone here is very nice and helpful. Dr. Jurgens and Shannaki are awesome. I will be recommending them to family and friends.

Everyone at Visionworks in Shorewood was so helpful! I especially appreciate the time Shanaki took to assist me in finding fashionable frames to fit my face shape. I’ve never had to wear glasses before and she made the whole process a breeze. I felt so comfortable with the transaction. They explained my options of lenses and upgrades available and then billed my insurance and calculated my out of pocket expense. Honestly, I have nothing to compare this interaction to but it was super easy and I can’t imaging how it would have been able to go more smoothly! I’ll definitely be back!

I came to this location about 3 years ago to but a pair of glasses for my son and I was pleased with the quality of the glasses. Although it was a bit pricey, I was fine with it because of the quality. I recently came back to get some information about the prices and I was very disappointed. To start off the employees were very rude. They did not explain anything or answer any off my questions. She typed some numbers into her calculator told me a price and left it at that. I will not be returning to this location.

Very clean, staff is professional and super friendly! Collie and Shanaki, among others, helped me pick out a great frame and also did a great job at getting me the best deal. They have an awesome selection of kids, womans and mens frames. Also, the actual eye doctor was efficient and was great at getting me in at my scheduled time. (I hate waiting when I have an appointment!) Overall would totally recommend the Visjonworks Shorewood location!

I bought a pair of glasses, turns out the prescription was off. when I went back the rude ladies there kept brushing me off. I had to return three different time before I could be seen again. I called the corporate office and kept getting the same lady. I asked to go to another office I kept being referred to the same office where I was blown off again. the staff there is so unprofessional. I would never go back there. I had such a horrible I will never go to another visionworks.

The staff is ok. Be careful going here. Especially, if you have insurance. Make sure to pay attention to your prescription and what kind of lens the doctor has recommended. They will tack on unnecessary prices for things that you dont even need. So, be sure to ask questions if you have insurance that basically covers your eye wear and all your really responsible for is the co-pays.

Needed lense replacements same day and was told by the staff it could be done on a Monday. After getting all prescription and lense information to the office i was told they could not do same day glasses and it would be 3-4 days. Not sure what specifically they do same day so I would recommend calling first to make sure they can complete what you are asking for.
