Great publix with the nicest manager. Ran to get some aloe Vera for a sunburn and didnt realize they had closed a minute earlier. She could have turned us away and said not my problem but she let us come grab what we needed instead. We were trying to get in and get out fast so we didnt even catch her name. Nice to be treated with empathy and kindness. Thank you :)

Hector is an awesome greeter! I also love shopping here whenever I visit the beautiful state of Florida. I love how easy it is to grab picnic stuff and then go off and explore the beautiful places in the area! The groceries are reasonably priced and make Florida vacations economical!

Like all Publix, very friendly staff and super clean premises with wide selection. However this particular one has some extremely confusing shelving and I oftentimes have to go back an forth between isles to find what I am looking for.

I like this publix a lot I go here for my medications and the scenery. Very nice employees and very clean never had a bad experience. Shout out to the pharmacists who do a very good job and always recognize me and never make me feel like a stranger.

We were picking up a called in order of Sub Sandwiches. The woman taking the order read off the order to me after I gave it to her on the phone. Im a vegetarian. Well, the label for mine (just cheese and veggies) and the one with the most meat on it somehow got the labels put on opposite. Thank God that I hadnt opened and/or bitten into the one that said VEGGIE, but my family member had eaten pretty much my whole sandwich that had been marked as the meat one. So of 5 people I was left with no lunch on a boat outing while everyone else got their food. If Id taken ONE bite of that sandwich Id have been sick all day and night, on another family members birthday, which I was taking them out for. Awful service to say the least. SMH!

Great store layout, items are easy to find and lots of variety. Gentleman at the deli was super friendly and helpful, but our cashier acted as though she were angry with us (did we buy too many things??!) and threw/slammed our groceries down the belt as she rung things up. Will avoid this store in the future.

This is my favorite Publix in Sarasota. It is smaller in size than most Publix stores and is, therefore, much easier to navigate and find what your looking for.

Very nice and friendly staff. Good prices. They have AWESOME pre-made sandwiches and salads. (Theyre produce manager (Minnesota native) was a big help not only with his job, but also suggesting places for us tourists to visit!)

A little smaller than the Publix on Longboat Key or the one further south on 41. Still a nice smaller store more like a neighborhood market. Plenty of parking. Meat market small. Can be very busy. Prices typically Publix. Best thing about it is its location near a lot of high rise apartments.

Got shrimp quick bite from the deli. It was delicious. The gentleman helping us was nice as well. Store was clean and had Apple Pay. The layout of the store was a little confusing though.

Very friendly staff over there to help you. I get all my grocerie shopping done at Publix. Never long line always in and out very fast. They always have what I need in stock. Publix where shopping is a pleasure.

When in that area of town at lunchtime I usually stop by Publix for a quick lunch. Its convenient, quick andDelicious. Also a great place to stop by when youre in need of flowers for a quick gift. Publix is a highly rated grocery store that they earned.

Nice store.. always a wait at the Deli 😐 sometimes at front end you can get in & out, sometimes a wait.. Restrooms are located WAY in the very back corner of the store.. i also really dont like the fact that they close @ 9:00pm.. probably because of the neighborhood, idk?! The Publix on Beneva Road closes @ 10:00pn.. Sales & BOGOs are always a plus (since Publix is high on everything else!) Happy shopping! 😊👍

The deli counter was having two newer employees handling making sandwiches that slowed the line considerably. Training needs to happen for continued improvement but it needs to happen while maintaining experienced staff on to keep customers satisfaction at the desired level. If the level we experienced is all that Publix is striving for then keep doing the same and we can shop elsewhere.

This store has become almost unbearable to shop in. The employees are nothing short of rude to customers,and I could almost say the same of management,the deli foods have become substandard, theres almost always cross contamination going on there. Publix atleast this one isnt a shopping pleasure.

Had to get nicotine liquid. A bit pricy but otherwise a great clean shop with friendly staff. I believe the cashier gave me a 10-15% discount if I recall

I went into this Publix to the hot food section for dinner. There are these two gentleman who Ive seen before that usually work behind in this area, with the subs/sandwiches section and rotisserie chickens. I stood there for about 20 minutes before I decided to walk out and go somewhere else. They never recognized me and then one of the gentleman was standing in front of the hot food talking to his coworker making the subs/sandwiches. They had passed on myself for others that had come in after me, that stood just two feet over with the sandwiches. I have had the issue at this location before where it has taken forever to get in and out of there, even if there were very few people in the store. They knew I was there, I just feel like they were doing as little as possible so they could get out of there as soon as possible. That was it for me. They were disrespectful on so many different levels. Best bet is to go to the Publix stores south of downtown Sarasota.

I frequent Publix nearly every day.The staff is friendly and efficient so there is no problem there.My issue is with whoever is responsible for the bar code readers at the registers.Ive noticed in the past ( which I just wrote off as a fluke ) that unless you watch the items being scanned like a hawk you open yourself to being over charged from what is being displayed by the item. One trip it was for scallions for $1.09 was rung up at $1.39 and cherry tomatoes $3.99 rung up at $4.50, now mind you I dont quibble over 81 cents but multiply that by a possible 500 other customers and what does Publix get? a nice chunk of change over the course of a year! Today it was buy one get one free on a pastry and had I not been watching closely I would have been charged an extra $4.99.I dont normally bother writing reviews but I resent being looked upon as a fool.Maybe one of the many managers running around adjusting their ties could help aleviate this problem.

Its a smaller store that doesnt have as large selection as the larger stores do. Remember youre in a tourist area so the prices are congruent with that. I find it hard to believe I have to pay a 1.20 for a lime that cost me 33 cents in Virginia

Called in an order of hot wings and korean BBQ, large bleu cheese sauce for wings and 2 ultimate subs. Totally messed up the order Wings were not breaded, no korean bbq. Just plain wings in sauce. Don was super helpful. He went out of his way to help us. Even though we didnt get everything we ordered, his caring and concern for us was super. I wish he worked for me. He just went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. He apologized for the mix up many times. Super great person and employee. Publix is very lucky to have him as their employee

Great options and the pub subs are fantastic. Jonathan is the best sandwich maker, if he suggests you get something, I’d do it. We had 4 different sandwiches and every one was better than the last - thank you Jonathan!The employees are great and fun to be around. We stayed at a hotel nearby for 5 days and found ourselves at this store 4 out of the 5 days. We couldn’t help but come back everyday.
