I had three generations of engagement/wedding rings that I wanted to combine into something new and custom. My fiancé and I walked in without an appointment and were immediately helped by Rose. I showed her an idea of the style that I wanted with the stones we had and she took everything down. My fiancé and I had never done any kind of custom jewelry before so we were a little intimidated, but Rose updated us along the way, including the renders. We picked up the rings today and they are absolutely stunning. I had mentioned that I hoped to include the metal from my fiancé’s original ring in the finished product and they were able to do it for me. Rose also gave us a complimentary appraisal for insurance purposes. We are both very satisfied with the results and I am happy to give them a good review!

I needed to get my engagement ring sized down and wanted it done same day. After finding David Levi & Sons through reviews, etc. online, I emailed them to see if they had the availability to do what I hoped for. They were very responsive and answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. I was able to drop my ring off during my lunch break and pick it up just a couple hours later. The ring was even ready earlier than the estimate they gave me. Now the ring fits perfectly and still looks seamless. I didnt have the opportunity to peruse their selection of jewelry, but it appeared that they carried a variety of unique items.Update: After the great experience I had here getting my engagement ring sized, I returned to check out their wedding bands. They had a surprisingly large selection of bands in the style I was looking for (white gold with small diamonds) and I found one that I LOVE at an amazing price. Their layaway program makes it super easy as well.

David is the place to go for engagement rings. Generally the saying, to good to be true is correct. However not with David... He is that good and beyond. I was looking for an engagement ring for my now wife and he made me the most beautiful ring that my wife loves. She gets compliments everywhere we go. Other jewelers were quoting me 3 TIMES what David made my ring for. He went to conventions and trade shows to make sure we got the perfect stone for my wife. I was nervous that the stone possibly was not real due to it being so well priced, however David paid to have it removed from the custom ring he made (after I proposed due to time constraints) and shipped to New York to be certified to clear my head. David called me a week later saying that the ring had been put back together, its ready for pick up and he had the certificate for the stone proving its authenticity.David is too good and it is true. I will never look anywhere else for any jewelry. My wife brought my wedding ring that were to be made up of my dads and my grandpas wedding ring. David once again knocked it out of the park.The other main thing is that David never pressured us into any sale. He takes the time to make sure you know what your getting and takes care of all of his customers. This is by far the best Jewelry store in San Diego! I bought an engagement ring about 4 months ago and the engagement fell through. After getting an estimate from four different places I called David to see if he would help me out. I was getting significantly low balled on the estimates and then I came here. My wonderful experience with David all started out with a simple ring appraisal. I had a custom ring designed by another local San Diego jeweler but felt that the quality wasn’t up to my standards, plus I felt like I overpaid for their work. However, David said to give him a chance to design the engagement ring we really wanted. David allowed us to sit with Kevin (head designer) to design every aspect of our dream engagement ring. Kevin was very patient and spent several hours with us. After designing our ring in CAD, a wax model was made for my fiancé to try on before finalizing the ring. Once we were all in agreement, David said it would take about a week to complete. When David texted me that the ring was ready, I had butterflies in my stomach. I was super excited to see the final piece, but I was also scared that it wouldn’t live up to the hype. We arrived at his store and when David opened the box, my fiancé and I were at a loss for words. It was beyond our expectations!!!! I can’t express how happy I was when I saw it, his work spoke for itself. David truly out did himself!David was awesome and professional during the entire process. I went to Davids because i was referred to him by some of my friends, unfortunately i didnt have the same experience they claimed to have. I went in looking for an engagement ring and i was really optimistic going in but i was let down, as i was looking at the rings displayed they just looked very old and not exactly new. I soon left this place and went on my way, time to get back to the drawing board..

My fiancé went with a friend (prior to us being engaged) to pick out a ring for his best friends future bride. The experience was so wonderful, my fiancé refused to buy anywhere else when the time came for us. Shortly later, I got to see why first hand. David has helped us make decisions (which can be difficult for me) without being a salesman or trying to pitch something totally different. He provided my dream ring, said I can have it cleaned for free anytime at the shop (which is done in about 5-15 min), and sized the ring for free and had it ready in 20 minutes. His customer service is so far above anyone I have ever met.We later went back for wedding bands and he surprised me yet again with his generosity. My fiancé and I were having a hard time deciding between two rings so he offered to order them both in his size so we could come back and get a better idea when the rings fit on which one he wanted. Fast forward two more weeks, it’s a pretty emotional day for me with my fiancé having left out on the ship earlier that day(he is navy). I went into the shop and told him which one my fiancé decided and he offered for me to take them both home to let him try them on and bring back whichever he does not want. I explained he would be gone for a while so that wouldn’t work and that today was a pretty emotional day, so he says... “you know what, keep them both and tell him I say thank you for his service”. I was in such shock I don’t even think I thanked him enough. He made a pretty difficult day a million times better.Moral of the story: I will recommend David to everyone I meet and will only purchase diamonds/jewelry from his store. He has forever customers in my fiancé and me. Not to mention the quality of the diamonds for the price are far superior to any other jeweler in the area.

I took my expensive engagement ring in to have sized, and unfortunately, I strongly suspect my diamond was changed to a very noticeable yellow one. I have had it cleaned and it remains yellow. It certainly wasn’t when I dropped it off. I will not use them or refer others
