I bought this dress second hand and as you can see from the woman I bought by this dress from her shoulders are wider and she was 5’6 and I am 5’2. This dress was unaltered when I brought it to Belia. I am extremely impressed with her customer service. She was very kind, patient, and had awesome suggestions. She listened to everything I wanted and exceeded what I wanted in getting my dress altered. She did an AMAZING job with the beading and having the back lay flat on me as it should. She is so knowledgeable about being a seamstress and had plenty experience. The bustle was originally outside the dress and she suggested I do it under and I’m so glad I did. They only had referrals around Carlsbad and due to reviews and limited location options I did not feel comfortable to work with the shops on their list. I wore my grandmothers 60 year old lace dress, and Burcu was not only able to make it a little larger so it would fit me, she also changed the design to make it exactly what I was looking for. I took my wedding dress to Burcu for alterations after a recommendation from a friend and Im so glad that I did! She was so helpful through the whole process and I could tell immediately how incredibly skilled she is at what she does. My dress needed to be taken in quite a bit and the length shortened as well. But she also gave me options for more alterations that really took the dress to the next level. She replaced my dresss zipper with a better quality one, sewed a corset into the dress so my strapless gown wouldnt fall down anymore, and even made me a custom veil. She provided suggestions for making a few changes to my dress since I wasn’t initially liking the top part of my dress. I dont know how to start... i bought my wedding dress in February from some boutique in San Diego and they took my measurements to order the wedding dress from New York. Long shorty short, my wedding dress came almost 1 size small, especially belt side.My time was super short but lots of things needed to be done. I was going crazy about how small my wedding dress was.Burcu did fantastic job for resizing my wedding dress. It turned out a perfect fit for my body and body shape.Also i ordered a dress online for my wedding toast party and it turned out a disaster. I found a nice dress almost 1 day before my event.
