Just Games is my primary option for all gaming needs. I have been a customer for several years and each time I have gotten friendly, helpful service from the staff. One member in particular, Chris, is always cheerful and happy to help. The store is clean, and large enough to hold a sales floor and a gaming room. I wont go to any other store in Rochester for my DnD and Magic: The Gathering needs. Additionally, they are community-focused as the owner, Matt, had worked with me in starting a DnD club at my high school.

This place is awesome!!! I have been going here for weekly to play Magic and D&D for about 5 years and I have never had a bad experience.Chis Jones is really great. He is interested in what customers have to say and you can tell he really enjoys his job.Josephine is really great at making sure the large magic events they run at the store keep on schedule. I recall a time she helped me out when I was going to be late to an event due to a snow storm.This place is very family friendly.

We live thousands of miles away, but I was looking for an online D&D opportunity for my son for the summer and the offerings by Just Games Rochester looked perfect. The owner was great about answering questions and offering options. My son ended up playing every day for the entire 5 week program and loving it. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other places I found.

We love this store! The staff are always friendly, and when weve gone there with questions or looking for recommendations theyve always been helpful. My kids have done both summer online D&D camps and Saturday D&D during the school year, and had really positive experiences. The store has a huge selection of board game rentals, too - and every game weve rented has been in great shape without a single missing piece.

This is one of the most amazing and inclusive spaces in Rochester. The staff is kind, helpful, and warm. First time visiting today and Ill certainly be back. I was looking for some suggestions as my family and I are relatively new to gaming. Lilly offered some fantastic suggestions any of which would probably have been a great choice. But in the end she suggested I rent a few games to try them and told me I could use turn the rental fees into cash toward the purchase of a new game. What a fantastic idea! So, were trying these three out and Ill be back for more rentals and purchases. What a great find!

I’ve been shopping at this store for years. The owners and staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Culture in the store is frankly the most welcoming of new comers and levels of experience of any game store I’ve ever been in. I’ve been in probably 200 game stores across the country over 40 years of gaming.

This store is a great place for a new player to come, learn a new game, and join a community. I just started playing magic commander format a couple of months ago and everyone here has been super helpful and welcoming. I also made a couple of friends because everyone here has a relaxed, casual, and inviting attitude. They have a bunch of perks for continuing to visit the store and you can earn a bunch of rewards just by playing.I also love their board game rental system: I can try any of the board games out at home for a few days and then the money spent towards the rental can go towards in-store purchases in the future.Lastly, I am so glad they have a vaccination policy for COVID-19 as I feel so much safer being able to go and play games with other people knowing that all our safety is their priority.

Just Games is truly one of the best, if not THE best, gaming stores in Rochester and its outlying areas. The staff there are engaging, knowledgeable, and most importantly, so very friendly. The stock is expansive and thorough, and the space is always quite clean (and that’s their policy, in case anyone is at all worried about COVID).Furthermore, on a more personal level, the store is inclusive. Very much so. As a person with a physical disability I have had some trouble in certain locations, but Just Games has accommodated me accounting for this many times in the past. So thank them for that!Ultimately, a wonderful shop and a great space to play some tabletop games!

Just Games is a shining example of what a game shop can be. They have a wonderful staff, a very clean and organized store, and offer plenty of unique events. Other stores may be closer and the internet might be cheaper, but Just Games has earned my patronage by fostering a welcoming and positive atmosphere for games. Love this store. Great selection of items and excellent staff. I went in one night to get some paint and wound up talking to the staff member for about an hour about various paints, figure painting, 3d printing etc. I thank him for me getting back into painting miniatures for the first time in 30+ years. My wife, not so happy with me for the money I spend, but hey, retirement requires hobbies and she wanted me to find one!

Lauren was exceptional answering all of my many questions about MTG products. Over the recent holiday, we visited many game stores and this was one of the few open July 4th. Layout and design of store is spectacular with plenty of room for in store events - best gaming store that I’ve ever visited. Will be watching events schedule and looking for opportunities to visit again. Lauren even gave us a great lunch stop suggestion. She’s a keeper!

Great time there. I may be awkward in new places but I didnt feel unwelcomed. Ive never been to a local game store so I dont know exactly what I was expecting. Definitely was expecting way smaller then this. The selection seems massive for a lot of different games. The selection on magic seemed small until I looked behind the counter and saw a bunch of packs. Would definitely recommend it

Ive been a regular customer at Just Games since 2017, first as part of the Magic community, and more recently as part of the D&D community. Matt and Josie are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and I recommend the store to anyone who enjoys tabletop gaming, or who are curious and want to see what the fuss is about! The focus on community is what sets them apart from their competition, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of it in the years to come.

Easily my favorite game store in the Rochester area. Very wide selection of card, board, and table top role playing games. Weekly events foster a sense of community lacking in other places.

This place puts the “friendly” in Friendly Local Game store. If you have step foot in more than a few game stores, you’ll know that, unfortunately, they aren’t always the most friendly or clean. Just Games seems to make a priority of being clean, organized, and eager to help. On top of that, they have a huge collection, a large play area, and many weekly events that are responsive to the needs of the players.

We wanted a virtual and social camp for our child in summer 2021. We joined this NY camp from TN, and it was exactly what we wanted. And he got to be creative, cooperative, and excited about joining every day. We HIGHLY recommend the youth events. Thanks to Matt and Jesse!

Fantastic local game store, they are really great at making a welcoming and open environment. I have been playing magic and TTRPGs there for several years and havent had a bad experience yet. The manager Matt always takes time out of his day to greet everyone and get to know them. Recently during a Magic event he brought a new player to myself and another long time for us to teach them the game and giving them some free merch. Its these kind of things that really make me love this store.

Fun place to play games and has a nice play area, staff are most definitely not rude and prices are common prices you see in any physical store. They have rentable games and free terrain to use in store. The only thing smelly are the fake reviews people are leaving to harm a solid store

Started playing here before Covid. Really missed it when they were closed. My son loves to play live so he missed it terribly while they were closed. He really looks forward to it every week and plans his schedule around Wednesday nights. I like the safety protocols in place. Just can’t say enough!

Updated for the new store front. Same great staff, but with a much larger space! The selection of games is larger, and there is significantly more space to play games as well as a little lounge area right by the door. Check them out!Just Gave has been one of my favorite places to stop for games for a while now. They have a good selection of board games and card games with role playing as well. The game rental shelf is also a great idea, allowing you to try it a game before you buy. I was also very impressed that they set up a table in an elementary STEM night to show off some of the more recent educational/problem solving games for kids.

Just games has a notorious history of price gouging which has only gotten worse throughout COVID-19. Shop online and avoid this place, I promise you will save money. There is virtually no point in supporting your local game store if they cannot sell things at fair and reasonable prices. Comparing prices between mammoth online retailers like tcgplayer, products are nearly twice the price at just games.

Just Games has a great in store environment for playing your favorite board games or card games. Staff like Chris and Matt are very helpful with product questions. Just Games is the cleanest LGS (Local Game Store) I have ever visited. They have a dedicated area for playing your favorite table top games.Just Games runs enjoyable weekly Magic: The Gathering and Digimon card game events. I attend these events on a weekly basis. I especially enjoy their pre-release events for both these games.When distributor issues come up with the distributor not providing the proper items with TCG boxes, Just Games ensures that the customers get these items when the distributor corrects the issue.

I love coming here. My DnD group started here years ago, but when I joined it was during covid, so it was all online. Going in person has been great, and knowing that anyone who attends is following the CDC Covid guidelines helps to make the environment as relaxing as can be.I go for DnD, but I always stop to window shop the MTG cases and racks of minis.

Thank God this store is run by intelligent owners and has hired an intelligent & compassionate staff.

The store policy is to deny tournament entry to individuals without proof of vaccination, but they will allow those same individuals to shop unmasked for a protracted length of time. I find this policy arbitrary and inconsistent.

Just games hosts amazing Magic: The Gathering events! They have great prices on their products as well. I cant wait to play magic in person again there once it is safe to do so again.

Just Games is hands down the best tabletop games store in Monroe County! They have massive selections of board games, role-playing games, miniatures, and accessories for all of them. They operate numerous activities in just about every sphere of gaming imaginable. They help organize role-playing groups, they have events for big board game releases, they run CCG tournaments, and theyre a great space for minis gaming. They even run summer programs for kids!The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. All of them are die-hard gamers, and love helping people learn about or further explore these wonderful hobbies. The store and all of the activities that happen here have an incredibly welcoming attitude. Their events are focused on everyone having fun and everyone having a good time.So if you need a new board game to get you through the winter, some new minis for your RPG or the latest army youre building, or just some new shiny math rocks, Just Games is the place to go!

Most welcoming and helpful folks youll find behind the counter of a game store. No condescension towards newer hobbyists while still ready to answer the deep cut questions of the seasoned vet. I love the place and the people and they have been so great throughout the pandemic with things like curbside pickup and online ordering. Even if you dont like games, go there, youll leave with something cool :)

I am so glad to have this place in our area. The staff is always super helpful and amicable, the selection is great, and even the store itself is a sight to behold. Being able to order Magic singles online and then pick them up later has been really convenient. One thing I would love to see is some kind of blog/weekly column on the website about new tabletop games, reviews, or even just hot takes, because the staff is always apt to share their thoughts about what’s new. Love this place, love the community it provides, and I can’t wait to get back to FNM once the situation allows for it!

Just Games is the best game store in Rochester. They have a lovely location, amazing events and great community outreach. Also they were there when I needed them. The in house staff didn’t have the answers I needed but were friendly and knew who exactly to send me too. I reached out to Matt and he was beyond helpful and kind. He is a literal hero for game enthusiasts everywhere. I can’t wait for Covid to be over so that I can go back to participating in events like miniature painting groups and to bring my Adeptus Sororitas army to play in matches and events. I have a young son and I can’t wait to enroll him in his first DND summer camp when he’s old enough, so I hope those never stop.They have never been anything but amazing. We live near Naples and have friends that RAVE about Just Games so we took a drive out today to stock up on some games. While there, we had a tiny hiccup with a gift card we were given. The employee (who was super helpful despite not being able to fix the problem) recommended that we email the owners to have them sort it out. We did and received a call back from the owner, Matt, right away. He was SO friendly, helpful and took care of the issue for us. As far as the actual storefront goes - it is AMAZING. Compared to other local game stores, its immaculately clean, neatly organized and even has a RENTAL LIBRARY stocked full of tons of games you can try before buying. Due to covid, the extensive seating/gaming area is closed but looks like a lot of fun when its up and running I cant recommend this place more. If youre in the area (or looking to take a little drive like we were) go check them out!

I ordered some product direct from Forge World and to my surprise, when it arrived at my home in Okinawa I found a letter from Matt inside which read, We shipped this onward to you instead of returning it. Thanks! I was so grateful. As I am stationed overseas right now it takes a long time for products to reach me. If Matt had returned this it would have traveled all the way back to Europe before being shipped to my location in Japan. Matt saved me a month (possibly more) of waiting. Thanks Matt!

This store is completely dedicated to board and card games. Its brilliantly organized with demos and an entire back section to try a variety of games out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is all their games are full priced with no apparent clearance section.
