I love the Bill Talley service center in Mechanicsville, they are great. BUT I would never go back or recommend the Bill Talley Collision Center on Laburnum Ave. They showed no concern, care or empathy whatsoever to me as a customer. It took them 3 weeks to just order the part we needed. Not get, but order the part. They never once in the beginning said they were behind or short handed. It took almost 2 months to replace a piece of trim and trace a wire issue. I called once to get an update and was told I would be contacted when the vehicle was completed. I called again because I hadn’t heard anything and this time I was told “ We told you we would contact you when the vehicle was completed “ Now here’s the best part, I was Never contacted when it was supposedly fixed, I just happened to call back about it against their wishes. Of course it wasn’t fixed and took it to Bill Talley in Mechanicsville and they had it back to me in a couple of days.

I took my car to Bill Talley Collision Center after I was hit from behind. They made the entire process easy and painless. They were extremely accommodating with my schedule from getting the initial estimate to getting the actual work done. My car was in and out of the shop within 3 days and looked like new. They even washed the car and cleaned and vacuumed the inside. The service was great, and when they tell you youre a part of the Bill Talley Ford family, they mean it. If I ever need body work done to any of my vehicles again, this is the only place Ill go.

The workmanship of the body shop was the best Ive seen. My entire experience, from beginning to end was always pleasent. When I called for updates, I was always greeted with politeness and concern. If your car or truck is involved in a crash, I highly recommend bringing it here. They will put it back together right!

I use to really like these folks until my last purchase. I feel management here communicates issues very poorly with their staff when you have a problem. I feel you get brushed off and ignored. They also communicate to the customer poorly with service updates on how long your vehicle is going to be in the shop for.

Not happy with the manager of this location I wanted to purchase a suv they were asking $17,000 for it . I went to look at it and I see that it needed tires so I called and spoke with someone explaining that I had already been qualified for the suv with my credit union and I was ready to purchase but I was concerned that the suv needed tires, I was placed on hold and the young lady came back to the phone and stated the tires have passed inspection per our standards and the manager said he can sell you some tires at a discount. I just responded thanks and have a nice day..

My fiance was rear ended by a hit and run driver and immediately following the accident we had the car towed to Bill Talley Collision Center. The car seemed to be driveable, but the check engine light came on and it was in limp mode.Doug Sipe was our Collision Consultant that took our case and at first was communicating with me well. That was until I signed the approval or waiver statement. From that point I would leave a voicemail and an entire day would go by. The following morning I left another voicemail and it wasnt until the afternoon that I even received a phone call.I explained that the check engine light came on, it went into limp mode, and those were the only reasons we had the car towed there. He claimed it would be no problem that they would look into it. Next phone call, oh yea, let me see what the guys said about that. When I picked up my car, he told me it was a non-issue, to which I took as a loose wire - which was what I originally thought it was. Here we are a few days later the car went into limp mode and the check engine light back on. I called and had to speak with someone else, as my blood was boiling. The other gentleman (I think his name was Jeff) had me bring it in the next day. They hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and gave me the codes it produced. At that point Doug saw me in the waiting room, I was avoiding making eye contact. The last thing I wanted to do was let the other customers there know what was going on. I work in the service industry and I wouldnt wish a customer like that ontoanyone. It does no good for either party.Well, Doug got involved again, told me he would submit the findings to the insurance company and see what they say. He even emailed me once he said he submitted it to the insurance company.I guess it was a big mistake for me to hit reply, but I couldnt let it go. I wanted to be honest, fair, and most importantly just to be heard. I let him know that I was not trying to be a pain, but that I did mentioned this issue to him repeatedly. I mentioned that we only got the car towed there due to the check engine light coming on and yet now - here we were. His response was that they provided me with a free diagnostic check for me and to not reach out to them anymore regarding this issue. He told me I needed to take the car to a mechanic, meanwhile they have a mechanical shop connected to theirs. He told me I was to reach out to the insurance company regarding this issue. Oh and to please reach out to them with any future body work issues or claims.Telling your customers off like that and keeping them in the dark is not the way that you succeed. In all honesty I feel like I have been lied to and taken advantage of.I have now talked with the insurance company, alas, turns out Doug never even submitted the supplemental claim about the issue with the engine at all. They have no record of any further communication from Bill Talley Collision Center nor from Doug. I have been waiting one day shy of a week for nothing! Just one more lie.On a lighter note both receptionists were great! I feel like the administration staff needs a good shake up! One of the ladies that was helping another customer needed one of the gentlemen in the other room while I was there. She called out to him three or four separate times. From the other room all you can hear is laughter and Im busy right now, give me a minute. He never came out the whole time I was there and you could see the frustration in the other customers face. I hope they know their customers can hear them talking just a room away.If you want to support a business like this that is your choice, but I would suggest taking your vehicle and money elsewhere. Somewhere else that will actually value your money being spent there and appreciate you as acustomer.
