We had an awful customer experience. The lady in front of me was accused of lying by the clerk. He forgot to give her change back to her. And when she asked for it back and told him, he accused her of lying. While we were checking out, the clerk accused us of stealing bread crumbs. At the end of the transaction I pointed out that the bread crumbs are on the receipt. He apologized but too little too late. My family and I will not be back to that store. I will be posting on social media as well.

Never ever remind you put UR # in for savings on your coupons and store coupons always having people follow me around like I am stealing speaking about me in the third party when I put you Valentine bags together for my sisters two children since she passed away. I wasnt sure so I took them aside was going to go back the next morning since family Dollar is 2 minutes from my house those kind of accusations look make sure she put it back. WHERE. Where in automotive did she put it?? so instead of dropping 200 like, Im going to another family Dollar or WALMART

The gentleman that was working was an absolute sweetheart, extremely pleasant and knew immediately where the items I was looking for were. (Wednesday 04/29/21)

I was told to come back later in the day you twice in the truck would be ready so I go out of my way 15 miles to come back truck is there was told that they dont have a box of Clorox wipes and Lysol just happened to be walking across the back room door and I see employees going through the boxes taking home personal stashes of it and telling customers that theyre not available to be on the floor yet manager named and argue with me today dont have it in the store at all or I couldnt have any right now when I clearly see that all employees were unloading the truck was literally having your own personal stash that to the side each one of them had a can of Lysol wipes Clorox wipes Lysol spray set aside for themselves after I told them I seen it back there and know that the two employees I saw putting it on in their own personal bag one of them was Dan the manager who was telling me that they didnt have it. I feel like as a customer and especially now in times of crisis you would think it would be a little more Department of compassionate as far as the people who are struggling

100% difference with the new young man that works days! Hes so pleasant. Hes as wonderful as the older white Woman was horrible. Great place for a quick shop stop for everything & inexpensive. Im shopping there almost every 3-4 days now instead of avoiding the place because of the ignorant behavior of the old staff. Its between the $ Store & Dollars General! Extremely affordable & they have EVERYTHING

Standing out front at the moment the owner or whoever’s inside flicked me off and said they close early. This locations is garbage and he should be fired there’s a whole 20 minutes left for business.and I was coming int yo buy a grill and charcoal a quick fix before they closed a few dollars for the family I’ll take my business elsewhere not the first run around in this store.

I have a BA in English from Simmons College and worked in corporate as an Executive Assistant for the past 11 years. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL and poorly run business I have ever encountered in my career. Eli wasted my time, energy, and money on train fare on *countless* occasions, and then Meghan had the audacity to tell me they were not hiring me, due to ME not showing up????? I am completely mortified and will be filing a complaint with the headquarters that details the mistreatment I received by this store; which is completely unacceptable. I was a loyal customer for many years and now will NEVER visit another Family Dollar again.

My roommate bought an antenna 2 days ago but I t did not work in my area. I took my roommate back there to return the antenna with the receipt. The lady works at cashier saw him and told him if he stole the antenna. She should check her store first before she accused him stealing. After she checked the store and really she made mistake, came back, did not even say Sorry to my roommate but said no refund on the antenna.

The manager their was thinking because your colored that you steal! actually he though i did!it sad because i’m sure he had a similar situation!!

Everything was fine until I was walking out of the store. There was an employee smoking right outside the entrance and as Im walking out she blows the smoke in my face trying to walk in and Im pregnant. I was so upset.

I agree with the other bad reviews, that the foods and chocolates are revolting. That the place is dirty and the selection is of very bad quality even for a Family Dollar! Everytime I have gone in that location, besides the employees playing whatever malicious role their boss commands them, (apparently even if it is against their own conscience), there is always a grimy, scummy male pretending to be a customer who exhibits a heart full of malicious intent, as they have been hired/bribed to harass certain persons such as myself for political reasoning purposes, and yesterday when the counter employee realized that I was making faces of disapproval at the grimy, scummy looking male, he immediately put his left arm behind his back and placed his hand on his own buttocks to try to make the provocation greater. But I just put my basket down on the floor where I was in line, and walked out! The place was beyond dirty, because it has an atmosphere of evil in it! It is cursed. Apostle Paul says the spirit of the world (satanic) saturates an environment like that. It permeates the air, and that is why many like myself cannot breathe, and are choking from allergies in these places. St (Apostle) Paul describes the condition of Family Dollar even further at 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; God allows the error of operation to go to them that they may get to believing the lie, in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness.This is not my first bad encounter with Family Dollar. In 2006 after being harassed mercilessly by employees of Family Dollar and other public, whom the employees helped at it; I did some research at the library to see if I could come up with any people who live in glass houses should not throw stones on them. You know, Jesus saying if you are without sin, then throw the first stone at her. Well, I found an ongoing lawsuit against Family Dollar at that time. Their lawfirm representing Family Dollar were trying to avoid taking the blame/responsibility for deaths caused by electric blankets that they were finally recalling. But the court was finding them negligent and responsible because the inspection process had been sloppy and shady/suspect of report tampering, claiming the blankets were safe. But the charges were that they knew there might be a risk! If Family Dollar desires to accuse me of slander, they will have to bring me to court! Following proper procedure for it! I will welcome the opportunity to assert my due process rights against them. Making discovery, freedom of information act, all their videos of me being harassed in their store etc.!

Alright, so youre not getting great quality -- its a dollar store, you knew that going in. But the staff is incredibly rude and nasty, something that happened on multiple visits, and when a cashier outright jeered at me -- and the manager, standing just feet away, looked me baldly in the eye and told me I didnt hear anything -- to Hell with that. The notion that you dont abuse your customers is fundamental to any business. (The panhandlers and winos that congregate just outside the store is a treat in of themselves, and of course theres no parking.)Hopefully this dump will be history with the StreetWorks redevelopment. In the meantime, want stuff cheap? Zip down Quincy Ave and hit both the WalMart and the dept store in the Kam Man Plaza. Theyll do you up.
