The store first bothered me because there wasnt any carts in the cart area, but almost immediately a guy came with carts. Even with the store being very busy the store was nice and clean; plus the service over by the hot foot was fast and he had nice manners. They have everything I needed except the cheese please bagels as a matter of fact there was only one pack of bagels in that area. Checking out was very nice and the wait time was great. I needed service in the Money Center and one associate told me I could go over there and someone would come after I saw no one was over there and a man in the customer service area told me I needed to be in that line because he was told to be in that line, so not to prolong what to say they had me go back and forth after I said I just want a money order. I finally got to the front of the line with one of associates to wait on me and she told me that the machine was down. The woman could have told me about the machine when she and another worker had me go back and forth. I think the men needed the same thing because they left immediately like I did. The store was didnt stop me from going to a Walmart.

This store is awful. Nasty bathrooms and employees need an attitude adjustment. Act like you appreciate the opportunity to be able to support yourself with some pride. Be cordial and at least acknowledge the human being you are assisting while they are checking out. Pitiful.

If you were doing curbside pickup be warned you will be waiting in your car for 2 to 3 hours it is not fun experience especially if you just got off of work and youve been working for 10 hours theyre ridiculously slow and cant manage to do anything right. I have been waiting for 3 hours already and still havent received the groceries

Getting worse all the time. Shelves are somewhat empty. No parking control for handicapped parking, peoplejust pull in and park wherever they want.

Placed an order for pick-up and waited until the email to actually go. The email came at 4:09. At 4:24 they told me the order wasnt ready... The order has 2 items. Theyre the same thing, just 2 of the same thing, even. So who triggered the ready if it wasnt ready and why did it take them until 6:00 to bring TWO SMALL ITEMS out? If you knew it wasnt ready when you tripped the email, you should have been ready to run when the customer showed... And if you looked me dead in the face at 4:24 and said it wasnt ready, thats some serious intestinal fortitude to just leave someone sitting in the 90+ degree heat for over an hour. Thats just indefensible. If the order wasnt ready, dont tell me its ready. We waited to pick up, as instructed by the email, and you just failed completely. Good grief.It gets better - contacted customer service through the website and they told me they would notify the store, but nothing else. No offer was made to compensate in any way, shape, or form for the hour of wasted time. Mistakes can be made, but you acknowledge and make it right or you lose business.

Walmart is great, but the bathroom is disgusting. Worse than a bar.

They removed almost all of the gluten-free items from their store. There is no more gluten free area. The store manager has decided to say fuk anybody that needs gluten-free, we dont care. The food clearance area took over the gluten-free spot. they would rather sell discounted items then gluten-free items for people that need it

4 star. I have had some issues finding what I need in the food department a few times and there is NOT enough cashiers. Other than that I have had a great experience. The store is kept well and the people are nice. I do wish there was more in the garden center regularly but I live around a lot of gardeners and assume it is because of the high demands.

Very unprofessional the people that work at customer service are rude and unprofessional they should not have a job there they keep u on the phone for almost a hour and then they hang up on you…. Walmart can do way better then this… I feel like they need new staff. and on top of that you can never get a hold of HR…. They need to update the whole place . it’s very ghetto. I would give no stars but that’s not a option….. Portsmouth has the worst Employees…. They need to fix it. And they attitudes.

They didnt have what I went there for. The inventory was lackluster in that particular department. On the plus side at this location cashiers have great work ethic and are quite fast. The cashier manager is very professional and helpful. On my most recent visit I had forgotten my face mask. They gave me one to wear for free and in doing so they earned my respect. Thank you Walmart.

Why would the genius crew come up with Corona proof self check out if its going to close WAY before 11p.m. ?Why do they still close at 10:50-11pm ? Used be 12a.mGet real security..Get the sanitizer walk through machine..****Have the extra workers thats always walking around watch over self checkout.. ********OPEN MORE THAN TWO SLOW REGISTERS LATE IN THE EVENING****also through out the day.....

They only have two lanes open max, so the lines are very long.On 07/16/21 My total was 97.36 so I gave 100 cash and the cashier asked me if I wanted my change back. Was given $2 out of the 2.64 that was owed. The cashier explained that she didn’t have change her in drawer so she couldn’t give me any. I asked if she could get some and was told no.I left because I didn’t want to cause a scene but honestly was shocked. I wonder how many other people were shorted that day!

Poor poor management! Only two registers open and both self checkouts were out. That line in the store was way beyond RIDICULOUS. Understand storage of workers but they had other workers there in different departments that couldve assist but I blame management. Just horrible

I had a large grocery order. I pulled up at pickup and called the number on sign #3. A young man named Dakairi was getting orders out quickly. He was working alone. There were 3 ahead of me with larger orders than mine. He did not complain nor did he get an attitude. I feel like an idiot because I didnt bring cash to tip him with. He deserves a bonus. I 🔍 find everything pleasing when I shop at Frederick Blvd. in Portsmouth Virginia.Yet, my opinion as for receiving a reward after rating my Wal-mart experience on a survey is false statement.

If self check out is card only they should let you know before you stand in line for 15 minutes. Put a sign at check out. They had two people working two check outs and the lines were super long. Its worth paying a little more some where else. Last trip to those guys. (I PUT BACK MY ITEMS AND WENT SOME WHERE ELSE, COST ONLY $1.02 MORE) HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN STAND IN TWO DIFFERENT LINES AND DEAL WITH UN HAPPY EMPLOYEES..

I just love shopping for my groceries online for pickup free and I can use my EBT card to pay for my items.

By far one of the worst ones in the area. The only reason I bother with this one is because of how close it is to home, but no more. Theres NEVER enough registers open for the amount of people checking out, the staff hardly acts like youre there let alone speak to you, and rarely do they have what I need in stock...like diapers. Every time I go they are out. The store overall is not kept clean, merchandise is everywhere. I just went for the last time tonight...and Ill never go back there, or probably any Walmart again.

Wal-Mart has a lot of stuff. Nothing new to say about it. I wish they still sold pet fish. I love that french bread that has everything on it. Just reminiscing on how much cds Wal-Mart used to sell compared to now. It seems like they could use help keeping the shelves stocked. Wal-Mart could do a better job keeping the plants in the lawn and garden section watered. They have nice plants when they keep them alive. I like their fruit trees.

This is a nice store to shop at.The store is ALWAYS CLEAN,WELL STOCK & the Employees are friendly and Professional... My experience @ this Food Lion in Portsmouth in the Churchland area was very GOOD. This Food Lion is the one that I go to most of the time.

Truly enjoy visiting, walking, sitting along the seawall with family and/or dog taking in the sights, sounds and smell of the bay. Very refreshing! 🙂

Never on time with Mobil orders. Every time I arrive for pickup and call they still take half hour to an hour to come out and load my car. Mostly teenagers managing the pickup department Wich is just absolutely insane. Would give this a 0 star if I could. DO NOT ORDER PICKUP FROM HERE !!!

I am rarely disappointed in my trips to Wal-Mart. You get to know the stores you frequent and this time was no different. I found everything I was looking for and theres always something in the main aisle that will catch my attention. The fact that you can usually do all of your home shopping in one place is always a plus to me.

If you have no other choice but to go here, were in the same boat unless Im out near a better Walmart. They take NO PRIDE in customer service and just there to get a paycheck. They stand around kicking it together unless you ask for a manager and then they scatter. Its sooo UNLIKE THE COMMERCIALS! If you go here, leave any good expectations at home.

I met a person, that greeted me as I entered Wal-Mart. Her name is Destiny. Beautiful looking, and a beautiful personality. As were ALL the ladies at the entrance. The beauty of their personalities was resounding....... GOD IS TRULY GOOD.

It is a Walmart... I saw kids speaking running out the back through gardning, it was an inside job, reported it to the manager, If prices run high it is because they dont have a good control of security.

I can always find what Im looking for. You can never go wrong when choosing to shop at Wal-Mart! If you dont want contact with people during this pandemic...shop online and pick-up at a location near you! Dont want to go grocery shopping, shop online and have it delivered or pick-up. Just pull up and they bring it out to your vehicle, pop your trunk and theres no contact.

I avoid this Wal-Mart and go to others in the area if at all possible. I stopped coming when I watched a cashier almost get into a fistfight with a customer. While it’s gotten some better, the lines are now so long no matter the time of day or day of the week that it’s hard to get in and get out in a reasonable time.

Rotten produce, smelly chicken cooler, and the store is ALWAYS half empty. Get your workers off their phones and start making them do their jobs.

While shopping for mulch the garden section still closed along with checkout lane. So no help and you have travel thru the store with your supplies that have been soaked by rain . If garden center was staffed and check out lane open like at the other Wal-Marts you could purchase and load your vehicle without going thru the issue of having to get help and spend a extra 30 mins since they do not have a way to load vehicles on the side of building. They also need to have more cashiers if the manager is paying attention they can reduce the lines faster.

Very disorganized. Drove an hour because the website said a product was in stock, and not limited quantity. It was nowhere to be found. While looking, I noticed one-off items sitting on the very top shelf, sitting sideways. I am not sure how anyone finds anything. Definitely one of the worst Walmarts I have been to. I am not saying this because I didnt find what I was there for. The place is a mess.

I resigned to the fact that theres no one working counters anymore. Its all automated. But almost all the automated check out areas were closed. Just a few open. On a Saturday morning. The few that were open had 20 minute lines of people waiting to check out. No thank you. A once great company like Walmart is fading away to ashes

Truly the worse Walmart locally. One cashier for customer returns with 12 people in line when I arrived. When I asked where the other cashiers were I was told that they are on a break. This is the most ghetto Walmart around. Trashy aisles, barely stocked shelves, mean attitudes from associates to customers. #WalmartCorporate are you paying attention to any of these reviews? This store needs a complete overhaul or closure.

Well twice I have noticed that cashier somehow manage to charge you extra while scanning your items one at portsmouth actually cashier has a big mouth too after I redue him my items and different came about 14 dollars less and today at Virginia Beach she was so awesome that when she couldnt find code for cucumber she charged me for beets and when I said that it was suppose to be only 139 instead of over 2 dollars that nice cashier actually charged me again but with right code and decided to leave both charges there I work way too hard to give even extra penny to Walmart and please train your employees better cause it makes difference when wrong is right but when your right is wrong its not right so I decided to get my 2.24 back but now I have to wait other 3 days motherflower when we pay you take the money right away and make mistakes and when we try to get our money back then not only it takes time but you blame others .......
