We had an engine issue with our Fusion Hybrid that seemed like something MAJOR. Andy, my service advisor, was patient and kind with me in my panicked state, he walked me through the whole process and told me what to expect in a worse case scenario, but as it turned out, things werent all that bad... We just had our 2020 F-150 in for some warranty repair. I have high praise for Andy (our service advisor) and the service department in general. They diagnosed the problem, for the necessary part faster than they had told me, set us up with a loaner vehicle, and completed the repair sooner than expected. Andy and his team did well by us and we appreciate it.So, Portsmouth Ford gets 5 stars. Not so Ford Motor Company. We never should have had to get the truck repaired in the first place. It was a 2020 with less than 15,000 miles on when the turbocharger bypass valve failed. While we were towing our travel trailer. In West Virginia. 675 miles from home! We had to put our trailer in storage, limp home with a truck that wasnt running properly, get it fixed, and now we have to drive back down to West Virginia to get our trailer. Another 1,350 miles roundtrip. Oh, Fords warranty doesnt cover those expenses like storing the trailer because you cant tow it with the truck, staying in a motel while you make the trips back and forth.It is going to take some time before I regain my trust in our truck. Makes me sad. Makes me nervous thinking about making the trip to West Virginia and back.Kudos to Portsmouth Ford. Boo, hiss to Ford Motor Company.You might wonder, why not get the truck fixed down at a Ford dealership in West Virginia? Answer: they all quoted 5-6 WEEKS before they could even look at the truck! Andy told me to bring the truck in as soon as we got home. We did and they fixed it in less than a week.

I called this dealership after spending weeks on the Ford site looking for a truck with the options I want. They confirmed the truck I wanted would be delivered to them in about 3 weeks. I told them I would like to place a deposit on the truck. They told me they would call me back. They did call back, and told me NO they won’t sell to me because I live 6 hours away not in NH. I called corporate to see if there was a way but was told dealerships are privately owned and can discriminate anyway they choose.This is extremely frustrating. I want to buy an American made truck from a dealer 6 hours away. Unbelievable. They may be a great dealership other than this but I do hope someone will read this review and at least have the courage to let them know they object to excluding any person from purchasing a car based on where in the United States they are from.

I especially like that they do a courtesy multi point inspection each time so that I can be aware of any upcoming service needs such as tires or brakes that may be due for replacement on my next visit.

I brought my 2017 Fusion in for an oil change and a few other small items including a check engine light. The bad news for me was the check engine light was signaling a fairly expensive repair. The good news was Allen McKenzie was my service rep and he listened patiently while I complained. He then got me a rental car and gave me a contact number to plead my case with Ford Motor. In the end, Ford Motor covered a large portion of the repair and Portsmouth Ford did an outstanding job repairing the vehicle in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend Portsmouth Ford.

Recently purchased a new explorer with this dealer and was very happy with Kurt (sales rep). but was very disappointed when I had inquired earlier in the day about making an appointment and had given my information to do so with the added info of employee discount through current employment just be told at the dealership that it wasnt being honored... something to do with inventory issues due COVID19 and that it wasnt an option even though I had to verify it through my work for the correct dealerships that recognized it, and whoever I spoke to on phone had no issues with it. otherwise the rest of the experience was great, including the financial person who was very thorough and friendly.

What an easy car buying experience. I called on Wednesday and spoke to Seth, explained which truck we wanted to look at and what we had for a trade. He had me fill out some paperwork online for both and had an offer to me within an hour, with a great rate.When we came in on Saturday everything was ready for us. Kelly Larson was super easy to work with, and Ben had everything ready for us on the finance end quickly. Overall this is the smoothest and most efficient car buying experience I’ve ever had. Eddie was great. He explained everything to me along the way. He took the time (even though it was the end of his work day) and stayed with until we were finished. The financing part was a little too quick, I felt a little rushed through the process, but they were selling a lot of cars and trucks while I was there (Portsmouth Ford seems popular), so I would imagine the Finance guy had some people waiting. I love the Bronco.

Our experience with Portsmouth For was AMAZING!!!! Andy is awesome, he was incredibly helpful and empathetic the whole time dealing with our case. John especially, but also Chris in the parts department were also helpful.Our car came in with a busted engine. I cant tell you how stressed we were. However, after talking to Andy, and getting set up with a loaner car, we felt confident we made the right choice bringing our car to yall. While the engine was delayed getting there, I know that was not on your team, but YRC, what a crazy shipping experience trying to track the engine!We felt informed and taken care of the whole time, again, thanks to Andy and others. We were without our car for a month, and were on a road trip from the midwest and towing a 32 foot trailer... thats a long time to extend a stay! But the team made it not only bearable, but we still had a lot of fun, able to go see things and not feel trapped in a campground the whole time.Thank you sooooooo much, literally, it was an awful situation made awesome by your team. We really cant thank you enough!

The car had mechanical issues from the start that required multiple visits to have fixed. Staff are very polite but I had to reach out a few times to see if my car was ready. My car was diagnosed with a never seen before issue with the floor pan that affected the back seat. My last visit I was told this is the last time we can try to fix it and that I would have to arrange a body shop to look at it on my own time and expense. In disappointed frustration I contacted Lincoln but was circled right back to Portsmouth Ford. We paid for the extended warranty but it wont cover body issues even though I never crashed this car and have taken excellent care of it. I was told it was a manufacturing issue. So now my faith in the vehicles safety has withered. Communication has been poor. As example, I received an email from the sales team congratulating me for the one year anniversary with the car. I replied to that email with my concerns about the vehicle. No one got back to me. I later submitted another message through the contact us page of the web site...again NO REPLY. However, I have received three unsolicited please rate us emails. Automated communication is disingenuous if no one reads and responds to them.

Spencer was a very helpful salesman who really knew his stuff about the Bronco Sport and the F-150/250s that my dad was interested in. I had gone to 5 dealerships in 3 different states looking for a Bronco Sport. At all of them, theyd tell me the price was one number, but then add $2k-7k because of shortage premium or bulls***. While negotiating at Bill Dube Ford, who assured me that I couldnt get a Bronco at sticker price, I called Portsmouth Ford, and they assured me that the one I saw online for ~$30k was in fact for sale for the sticker price. I went over there, got a great deal on the loan terms (less than 1% APR), and was driving my new Bronco off the lot within an hour and a half.I HIGHLY recommend that anyone buying a Ford go to this dealership. The sales staff is knowledgeable and really does work with you. Dont go anywhere else!

I worked with Spencer to buy a brand new Mustang Mach-E, Select trim with AWD. It was, hands down, the best dealership experience Ive ever had. They really do mean it when they say no fees and no negotiation. I never buy at MSRP, but the car I was buying is in high demand so most dealers were selling at a huge markup over MSRP. Portsmouth Ford sold it to me at MSRP, which is a steal for an in-demand vehicle like this.Perhaps if youre going for a vehicle thats not as highly sought after you could get a slightly better price elsewhere. But if youre looking for something thats in demand, or if you just value your time enough to not want to bother with haggling and back and forth, then Portsmouth Ford is absolutely worth it. And they arent going to nickel and dime you or hard sell junk you dont need.

We had an appointment with Kelly Larson at 9:30. We arrived half an hour earlier and he was available. We were looking for an F350 with few features and white. He had about half a dozen available and three of those were close to what we were looking for. He went to pick up one for us to test. I found it too stiff and the side mirrors were not powered. He pickup a better one, an XLT. Much better. Not much difference in price. We did not negotiate much for the price. It seems that the tag price was the price. We agreed, and filled up the paper work. At 11am we were gone. The truck could have been available 2 hours later but we were busy. We came back on Monday to pick it up. It took us an hour and 15 minutes and we were gone. My wife who is very petite drove the truck back home for 40 minutes and loved it! I bought the truck but it looks like I lost it already!

I was asked to make an appt. for a test drive. I made the appt. for a specific vehicle and ten minutes before appt. a walk in customer with no appt. was allowed to test drive the same vehicle and bought it. My appt. was completely disregarded . What is the purpose of an appt. if they dont adhere to it? The dealership should tighten up their protocol and if a walk in customer comes in, make them an appt. if there is someone ahead of them for same vehicle. Common courtesy and professionalism.

I recently took my 2020 F150 Limíted into the dealership for the 15K mile service and to inspect and trouble shoot significant drive train slop and or poor transmission performance. There is very loud slamming gear changes both during up shift and down shift when cruising under light loads. I have a great concern with this condition because the initial response from the dealership was that Ford is reporting this as a characteristic of the highly efficient 10 speed transmission searching for optimal gears.This is a totally unacceptable condition for any vehicle and reason for a recall of this vehicle and transmission if it can not be addressed. I would expect Ford to address this problem on the vehicle.Please note, the service I received from Portsmouth Ford was excellent but the product performance from this $70K+ vehicle is highly suspect at this point.

I went to buy an F-350 on Saturday. I put 8K down and signed the loan documents. I had also purchased additional items I wanted installed on the truck. I needed to pick the truck up on Thursday and Mike assured me that would not be a problem as they had plenty of time. Things were going well until Monday then the wheel of excuses started. First the items where back ordered and when I said I would just schedule a different time and bring the truck back then. Next it was a recall item that they could not get done in four days. Then when I questioned the issue and was upset I could not get the truck they then stated they did not want to do business with me. If you are dealing with Mike the salesman or Seth the manager buyer beware.

STAY FAR AWAY! We leased a 2020 Explorer that had to be towed in 3 times due to sensor issues. The ABS break sensor would trigger on its own while driving. The car would stop by itself. Portsmouth told us they could not replicate the issue and there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. They were rude and completely indifferent to our concerns. As a result we contacted Ford Corporate who told us we could follow up with a different dealership, and we went to McFarland Ford a few miles away. McFarland could not have been nicer. They were honest about issues with the 2020 Explorer and helped us get into a new 2021 unit at no extra cost. If you are in the area, I would suggest calling McFarland.

Had to wait inside a bit longer than I felt comfortable with to check in. They should focus on people waiting inside rather than people on the phone.If you look at the appointments for Monday morning I did make an appointment prior to showing up and waiting. Again at this point in time lets focus on customers waiting in lobby not customers on the phone.Dont count on it.

Although it was very frustrating waiting 5 weeks for my part to come in, my service rep. Alan could not have been more helpful. He tolerated my whining and complaining knowing it was completely out of his control. He also made my check-in process and pick up very easy. But what surprised me most was he check in call days later to make sure all was well. It’s because of employees like Alan that’ll keep me as a loyal customer.

Putting aside that I have purchased two trucks from these guys so I am a fan of the dealership overall. The service department has been as strong as the sales department. I am a DYI owner always have been. So when taking my truck in for service means that I have to both trust and have confidence in the place I am taking it to. It is a bonus if the price makes it a no brainer. So I brought my F250 6.7 Platinum in for a tire rotation. Normally I would consider this a DYI job but given the wheels & tires weigh 78 lbs each I was willing to bite the bullet and bring it in. So it was a surprise when not only as a tire rotation only $20 but I was able to do it through the quick lane which means I was off the road for 20 minutes. Seriously great service, fast and at a price that has me considering using the dealer for more of the work I would normally have done myself.

We absolutely love the truck, both interior and exterior. The purchase process was pleasant from beginning to end (that is a first) and we felt that the price was fair.
