Good place to work but wages are lacking

Such a great company, and as a teacher, can assure you kids love these guys!

Ive been a sub-contractor through Lile moving and storage for about 3 months. As a delivery driver Ive seen some amazing places, schools, and people. Scholastic has an amazing warehouse with dedicated employees. Its all for the kids and their enjoyment for books.

Great value at this sale! Somewhat overwhelming, but we managed to get plenty if bargains.

I love this place! Management is A+. Theyre always treating us to yummy food and treats for birthdays and other occasions. Some of the veteran employees are rude and crotchety, one in particular. It would be nice if pay were higher, however, as the work is physically tough.

Always a great time to shop in the book warehouse! Wonderful helpers and great books. Just dress warm because it is on the chilly side.

Scholastic is awesome I have memories from when I was a little kid and they definitely create some interesting things to keep school phone and creative and keep children and learning they definitely do a good job Im sure everyone everywhere remembers the book fair and getting the make your own bouncy ball

They have so many people restocking all the displays and helping people to find what they are looking for. I was impressed by the help I received.

This wasnt the best job I ever had, but it was certainly the coolest.Very long story short, I worked here as a seasonal worker (read: during the school year,) a few years ago. I worked Swing Shift (roughly 2-10:30 pm) first as a temp, and then as a full employee. The first time around, working nights as a temp, I mostly did returns: sorting, and putting the books that came back from Book Fairs back on the warehouse shelves. My second go, I worked mainly on the dock: unloading and loading trucks. I even got to see a Book Fair go to the elementary school I went to, and it gave me fond memories.I had a great working experience both times, which I believe was mainly due to the laid-back atmosphere of Swing Shift (and I even got to know a few people on Day.) It was a great atmosphere, and I would have stayed. But...Your work for this place, in this capacity, because you love their overall core values; (now the downside.)I actually made more money, per hour, as a temp. It wasnt much of a difference, but it was significant. I honestly dont recall the healthcare situation, but knowing thats something important to me, if their benefits package was compelling, I would remember. I know forklift drivers and truck drivers get plenteous dinero, compensativly.Conclusively, its a great company to work for, whether youre looking for a brief job, or you want to start a career. The company is big enough, and if youre willing to move to other parts of the country, its not a bad place to start out...
